Shielding her eyes, Regina tried to find Aendal on the field. She had never, never been out during the day, and certainly didn't want to experience the sensation of being out in the rays again, brief though it had been. Lurking in a pool behind some corpse husks, she squinted out, hoping Aendal would just... saunter closer. HP: 12/20 Regina dealt 0 damage!

While Vos wasn't making much progress, she still kept up trying to pull and tug at the vines in a hope of finding another lusii to free. More vines slipped past her as she tried to find a good hold. Grunting she only was dragged along a few feet before having to let go.
Groaning in dismay the yellowblood wiped her hands off on her shorts. It wasn't easy going work wise, but she wasn't ready to call it quits. Surveying the scene she squinted, looking around for another to try and contend with.

Cops and RobbersHealth: 34/40 Ephias' eyes widened a little. Was she referring to the battle for Old Hemisect City? If so what she mean by it? As far as Ephias was concerned this had already reached the same disastrous proportions as the reconstruction project. Wait. She said that they would win. Win as opposed to... having lost. Was she... a rebel? His brow furrow deepened. He must have been misinterpreting her words. He nodded to her in response to her smile, unable to crack one of his own. “Good luck,” he said as she ran off into the fading mist. He then moved to Wolly's side and began wringing out his coat. It was amazing that the sheep had even been able to move, weighed down as he was. “When we get home, I'm giving you a haircut,” Ephias grumbled. Wolly looked appalled. Then he gave a tragic bleat. “What.”He gestured down towards his hooves with his muzzle. A series of vines had coiled tightly around his ankles. “It's fine. I'll get them in moment and... Ffff—!” Ephias threw an arm over his eyes. Sunlight flooded now the cavern. Squinting, he brought his arm down and began to tear at the plants. “H-hang on!” He protested. He could hear his skin begin to sizzle. Not just feel it, he could actually hear it. Suddenly he was knocked back into the shade by a ram from Wolly's horns.

With his own lusus out of reach, and the way up to her hazardous as all get-out (and she yelled at him for trying to go after her) Reemus turned to do the next best thing, helping Zindel once that lusus was out of the way. He continued on his dash over to where Zindel was strung up, and once he was there, started tugging with as much strength as he had left.
The vines were unforgiving, however. But that didn't mean he should stop trying!
Current HP: 21 - 1 = 20 / 40 HP + Entangled

"Here you go!" announced Aandes. The shellbeast wandered slowly off to... Attack Aendal, or something. Perhaps this was not the best creature to free in a time of crisis, but hell, it wasn't that hard.
Aandes splashed around and tried to find another lusus to free.

No luck. She blew a few aggravated bubbles in the filthy water and rubbed her eyes, waiting for her vision to come back. That rainbow drinker was a dead troll walking. Literally and figuratively. Who used the sun as a cheap shot? That was so low. She had read of one queen once who executed trolls by leaving them tied to a stake outside during the day and had disliked it. Besides, if they died in the sun, no one would be there to watch it happen. Just a dumb idea all around. HP: 12/20 Regina dealt 0 damage!

Keionx only knew that the vines had been coming for her when she turned to find they had been taken by Milieu instead of her small body.
She hurt, she hurt all over now, in more ways than one. If she had only hd her shield, then she could have shaded herself from the light, but it was missing, gone.
She couldn't just leave them. Not them. Not these heros.
With a frantic slash of her sword, she tried to disconnect the vines that tangled them at their source, a twisted, gnarled knot of a root.
Whether it freed her older friends - and the purpleblood - or not, she didn't know. But, as a white shape streaked out of the knot, she knew she had saved something... That was good, at least.
But she couldn't just leave things as they were... She had to keep going.

It was a weak hit, but a hit nonetheless. Tamiya was barely able to get out of the sunlight before it caused permanent damage. She was completely and utterly frazzled, trying to collect herself.

Vremea dealt 0 damage. OOP, she almost got hit that time! Narrowly avoiding a hit, she quickly kept going on her way to Odette.

Sliding off an entangled lusii back, Voscil likely looked like a fool as she came up empty handed, landing on her feet was the only saving grace about her blunder.

Cops and RobbersHealth: 33/40 As much as Ephias hated to admit it, Wolly was right. It was pointless for him to try and free his lusus; he would be burned to a crisp. The sheep sank down to his knees, becoming partially submerged in the water. That would hold the sunlight at bay... for a while. In the meantime, Ephias would have to find another way to free him. Like killing the controller of the plants. “I'll be back, Wolly! J-just wait!” Ephias shouted and weaved through the remaining shadows of the cavern. It would be stupid to tackle Aendel by himself, but he already knew another way he could be useful. He began to tear the vines from a nearby mantid creature. He had only removed maybe half of them, when the lusus surged forward. Ephias, still holding on to the vines, crashed to the ground and was dragged through the water. Foul-tasting water filled his mouth. Ephias freed a lusus and dealt 4 damage.

Reemus resorted to pulling at the vines with his teeth, growling and grunting as he tried to get them to give. Somehow during all of this he hadn't managed to lose any teeth even though the vines were VERY tough and pretty painful. Somehow even his tongue hadn't been fully punctured yet. "We'll get ya outta this one yet, mate, just don't look up!"
Current HP: 20 - 1 = 19 / 40 HP + Entangled

Kabukidad rushed from the vines. He was unrestricted, but still angry. Honks and howls filled the air. Soon, he was trained on the only troll nearby who was still entrapped: Odette. Tamiya gasped - immediately regretting the motion as her diaphragm spasmed with pain. She rushed forward. "******** narrowed her eyes, but stopped in her tracks. Her legs nearly buckled with her inertia. "Father?" A sampler of sounds emanated from the creature, squeaking dangerously as he padded the ground. His underside and paws were soaking wet from the rising water in the cavern, leaving his skin fairly translucent, loose and limp on his lithe frame. He padded back and forth, growling and twisting his heavy, waterlogged head to the side. It flipped underneath him before he adjusted it back into its semi-askew position. ALL ******** DIE."It's me, father. Tamiya. Calm the ******** down. The jadeblood is doing this to you." LIAR! LYING b***h. YOU AND THE RED ONE. SHE WILL KILL YOU. I WILL KILL HER.This must be the effect of the jadeblood - there was no doubt in Tamiya's mind. Tamiya bit her lip and stepped forward between her lusus and Odette. He wrenched forward to pummel her with his front paws, and she fell with him onto the ground. The wind was knocked out of Tamiya, and the recent sun-burns sizzled in the lukewarm water. She shrieked into his neck. "NO! SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME!" He honked in anger and the two scuffled on the ground. She took a paw to the face, and retaliated by squeezing his neck, feeling it give like an airy bag. Tamiya was bleeding out into the water below. She moaned and cried, tears mixing with her painful shrieking. "SHE IS PURE NOW, DAMNED FOX!" She flipped him over, and he quickly deflated in the ankle-deep pool of water. Kabukidad was quiet. You are in danger."Your teachings were not lost on me. The rainbow drinker's poison is making you ******** shitballs." Silence. Kabukidad slipped out from under Tamiya and gave her an upside-down look. This decision is your own, you mirthful bucketstain.Tamiya winced and got up. Her lusus was stable. Free of the influence of the jadeblood, clearly, as he was not attacking random children or their lusii as aggressively. Kabukidad slipped away in the shade and Tamiya sat, breathing heavily. She hid her half-clean face in her sleeves and shook the pain out. There was no time to waste - the cave could come down. Aendal had to die. "Back to... The battle..."

Keionx let out a cry as the freed lusus charged at Odette, and brought up an arm to block her, but Tamiya - the purpleblood - dealt with it.
Keionx would have watched it with awe, but she was busily tearing at the vines...
