Quinn chose to stay quiet and listen as Mimsy talked out the ins and outs of the science behind the machines. Projectiles and aerodynamics, oddly enough he actually understood some of it. A good sign perhaps? Either way, with Mimsys help, they Strapped Alaska into the device. "Someone at this point usually asks 'are you sure this is right' or 'are you sure you want to do this' but..." He frowned at the two of them. "You seem dead set on doing this," He said to Alaska before looking at his fellow lifer. "and i trust Mimsy's judgement and calculations so..." He pressed the button. Sitting up, he spat out dirt, rubbing his cheek. "If you like her so much, why don't YOU date her instead? So I can toss you and make you feel guilty." The fall must have affected his head because nothing he was saying made sense.

His fingers dug into Shiloh's shoulder, Ian holding on tightly for one long moment as though letting go would mean that he would wake up and it would be wrong again, it would be death again.
But Shiloh was smiling at him, and Ian let out his breath in a long, low exhale, leaning back as the other attempted (and failed) to get the slime off of his shirt. "I still say that's a terrible nickname, Shyduck," he said pointedly, but there was the faintest hint of his trademark smirk on his lips.
"When all of this is over, you owe me some cookies or something."

Jack had been counting how many people had natural hair color 9his excuse to stare at people to see who was needing a partner) when someone managed to reach up and take his shoulder. "Mmm?" He glanced down--oh, well this was a pleasant surprise. A not so midgety woman.
(( I'm starting to think midget is an offensive term . . . ))
Shut up and go oggle the tech again.
"'Pretty'?" Jack gave a small chuckle as he pushed some bangs out of his face. "I suppose. The glow of the monstrous buioluminescence does bring out your eyes, I must say, miss~" He glanced around and gestured to an empty launcher before leaning down to grab a coil of rope and its grappling hook. "I'll also say I don' t usually tie them up on the first date," he added jokingly, winking.

Nevada ran her hand through her hair and snorted, moving her hand back. Since Finn had so eloquently spit in her eye, and Jake had now done it to the ground, she wouldn't put it the hunter to be that pissed. But she also trusted him not enough to do anything bad really.
"Okay." She said simply, "I'll go date Sherry then." She smiled and rested her chin in her hand again, "You're being such a big baby Jake." She cocked her head a bit, "I don't know why I'd feel guilty, I certainly don't feel guilty for tossing you." She arched a brow.
"Jake..." She bent super close to the hunter, "Seriously, when did you become such a whiner. Did you lose more than your memories." She reached out to knock on his head.

As if he had read his thoughts, Ryan put his hand on Wilson's shoulder and gave him a 'reassuring' smile. Almost as though he was saying, 'Don't worry, I won't get you killed. Maybe.'
"Oh that?" He grabbed the straps and began to wrap them around Wilson's waist. "They were showing us how to use these." He continued, strapping another over and around Wilson's back, though making sure both were secure by giving them a few good tugs and checking over the straps and buckles. "It just wraps around you, thing sort of like how a life jacket would really. I wouldn't recommend trying to fasten it yourself, however. You wouldn't like the result." He then gestured with both hands, someone falling from a very high spot and then finally going splat. "All good then? Any last words?"
Now he might have grinned.

The corner of his lips twitched as he stared at the lovely imagery. "Ah yes. Great."
Wilson stared at Ryan for a long time before turning his attention to the insanity titan. "Ready as I'll ever be, I guess."

Alaska idly listened to Mimsy lecture while Quinn strapped her in. The discussion was actually mildly interesting, but it was better to focus on the task at hand, so she did. "Indeed," she confirmed with a grimace, "if I don't do this I'd be disappointed in myself." But she still didn't want to be thrown. Was this safe??
Good to know he trusted someone around here. She gritted her teeth as she soared through the air and landed on the creature's back. Alaska struggled to stay on, but at least she could jam the darn device in before sliding to the ground and rolling back to the pair of life hunters. "Much obliged."

"Alright then." Ryan moved back now that he was done prepping Wilson for his launch, all that was left was to actually launch him. Which he hoped, would have decent results. He really didn't want to lose one of the few friends he had due to some poor aim and bad luck.
"Okay on three." He started, giving Wilson a heads up. "One--" Only he didn't get to three. Instead, he launched him on one. Better not to think about these things and just do them, right? "Have a safe flight! WIIIIIIIIIIIIIILSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!"
Result: 12

Dakota changed the gear, waiting to catch someone else when Molly returned to him.
Her parting comment had him a little worried until she mentioned her own ah...problem.
"Well Molly." He gave her a very serious face, "Can't stab them all. Some people aim and just miss, some people just can't get it in. Some people can't handle the dagger." he shrugged, waggling his eyebrows. "Next time I'll let you handle one of mine instead of Mark's."

Wilson braced himself for the upcoming force of flying through the air. He gripped the dagger in his hand while trying to figure out where his hypothesized trajectory would take him. He looked down at the launcher and tried to figure out the technical mechanics so he could mentally edit the physics equation buzzing inside his head, but Ryan was already beginning the countdown. Time to concen--
Ryan didn't even bother to count to two. "RYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!" Wilson screamed as he landed right on top of the monster's head. Oh God. Oh God. He quickly jammed the infuser into what he gauged as a weak spot before scrambling back down somewhere. "RYAN I SWEAR TO GOD--"

"If it isn't fun, it's horrifying," she stated as a matter of factly which, judging from the lack of returned affection and oddly bright smile, meant she was still recovering from being up close and personal to a monster and for once not dying. "But, of course I will! For the sake of your sunny spot's safety, I will do my best."
She knew how much that house's existence meant to Gale--and Stormy was also aware that Ami too lived in the Towns, and God only knew who else. They had to make sure it stayed safe!
Touching two fingers to her temple in salute, she scurried to grab the grappling hook and straps, fingers shaking as she waddled over. "At least Peter Pan gets to fly~" she added in a coo, trying to smooth herself over. "Or, well, as Buzz Lightyear would say: falling with style. Now go sit in that launcher and let me get you a-all secured and stuff."
It hit her then that she was now responsible for his physical health, which also did not help her nerves.

He may hate you Nevada, but at least he'd never spit in your eye. Speaking of eye...
He slapped her hand away, still wearing his best grumpy face. "I'm glad to know your conscience is clear. And what do you THINK, you freaking launched me into the AIR." If humans were meant to fly, he was pretty sure they'd have wings. "By the way, what happened to your eye?"

Managing to choke down a laugh, she shrugged. "Well, thank you, it does wonders for yours as well." She teased, moving toward the launcher. "Well, its not every day someone gets to launch me at a giant deadly creature. Good thing you don't have an grudges against me yet. There are some people who would probably jump at the chance to launch me to my impending doom."
Lifting up the straps, she held them out to him, half grinning. "Well then, lucky me." Pausing, she stared at him a moment. "How good is your aim by the way?"

A lady with a few grudges made already? Oh ho~
"I wouldn't call this impending doom so much as . . . using our best resources to attack the creature," Jack answered with a grin as he began to strap her in. "As for aim, well, my first use of that plasma laser was very successful." A human subject, though . . .
