But then he saw them, glowing feintly against the red in their own shades hues. Floating orbs of crystal and the shadow boy knew what needed to be done. He went after it, a smile on his face and he could have sworn he had laughed.
"Aloha oe, keikikane ..." He heard when he caught it. Words he did not know, words in a language unfamiliar to him but at the same time not. Like he did know them, or had at one point known the meaning to the gibberish that echoed in his head.
Aa well. Time to find another one.

Nojha gave it another try, unwilling to give up considering Arl's method seemed far more effective.

Arldhan watched with dismay as Nojha couldn't catch any of them. Looked like they were even, now-- "I'll volunteer my jacket," he said, removing it and offering it over with a smile.
"Maybe this'll help?" he sweeped it upwards, towards a pool of fragments. He wasn't looking where he was going, and merely tossed it at Nojha, beaming.
Maybe their methods just wouldn't work for each other? It seemed like such a good idea, in theory!

Perhaps it was a little bit of luck, but Liom found himself able to catch hit next one without much delay like a few of the others. He smiled in his shadow-y nondescript way as he held it with the others.
"Haha! Usted es español es tan malo!" At least he recognized something from there, a laugh. Hopefully this was a joyous phrase.

Arldhan wished he could close his eyes and picture something, anything, but all he saw when he shut them was that white room.
With a sinking feeling he forced down, he tried to snag another fragment while he waited to see if the jacket or the herding would work for Nojha. He plucked it right of the air, as though it didn't expect him at all.
Arldhan smiled. One step closer to the goddess' blessing.

The jacket swept the fragments toward Nojha in a wave, and he made a grab at as many as he could, figuring that he should catch at least one.
Nope.
He gave Arl a sheepish grin, and attempted to make up for his failure by tearing off a flap of his robe, and attempted to send them back in Arl's direction.

It was almost like a game now, and Liom was liking the thrill of the chase enough to challenge himself with a few of the harder to reach orbs. Because why stop at just the simple ones?
At least he was able to justify it with a shiny orb. "Seigi wa Katsu!" It spouted at him. If it was the same language as all the others, he couldn't tell but if held a different voice than all the others.

Arldhan held out his hands, patient, smiling at Nojha. One drifted right into his hands. His last one. He smiled wider, preparing to keep Nojha company while he caught his last ones.

Ajexil stood almost stock still among the other figures who spoke together and collected fragments. She seemed uninterested in all of them, though she basked in her enhanced Sight. Perhaps she was just enjoying her new existence in silence?
