Lin laughed, at that, of course now it made sense that it was a unicorn. She didn't know what the symbol of a physician back in the Four Lands were, but in Gaia it was two intertwining snakes.

"Yes, we are, new to the continent that is," she replied with a nod.

The man chuckled softly. "Visiting or staying?" he asked curiously. "We have had some that have done both."

"Visiting," Earendil replied, smiling warmly, "though I can understand why people like to think we're going to stay."

He grinned at Lin. With her wings and Miyuki's tails it was clear why people would assume that they would not be welcome in some other places - particularly when they factored in the fact that Earendil was a pure-blooded Dark Elf.

Lin smiled widely back, they were very lucky that they had choices in other places, and really after hearing about some of the stories from the other countries here, it made back in the Four Lands sound wonderful.

"We like to travel, and see new places. Earendil, makes maps for a living, so it made for a perfect fit to visit this continent."

The physician looked at Lin and tilted his head curiously. "Earendil?" he repeated questioningly.

Earendil smiled and raised one hand slightly. "Me."

"Ah." The physician smiled. "Well, you have indeed given yourself quite the task. I am from the country of Quir, the easternmost country of Arkandia, so I can tell you quite certainly that it will take you a long time to map."

"Thanks for the warning, but we have been told," Earendil chuckled. "Our guide is allowing us to copy her maps so that we can simply travel and enjoy the journey."

"Ah." The man smiled warmly. "Yes, that is indeed a better way to do it, if you can. And if I may ask, who is your guide? Someone experienced, I hope."

Lin nodded, "Our guide's name is Kyrie..."

She then went onto explain that they had met Kyrie through her family in the city they had originally arrived in. Since Kryie had been all over, she had been the best guide for them.

The physician's smile grew wider throughout Lin's explanation, and he nodded knowingly.

"So she is still around," he murmured. "I'd begun to wonder about her. That's good to know."

Then he focused once more on the visitors, his eyes warm. "Well, it's good to know that you're in good hands," he told them sincerely. "But on that note, I'd best be getting back to my patients. You all enjoy your time here, all right? And if you need anything at all, come see me - though with Kyrie as your guide, I doubt you'll need to."

"Thank you," Lin replied, "It was wonderful talking to you."

Now that they knew what the sign meant, they would know for the future. Though, as he said, with Kyrie around, that might not be necessary. More good-byes were given before heading back out the newly found healer's place.

Andarien was training Ponydash when the others returned outside, tossing up stones for the Ponyta to hit with his Ember attack, working on his accuracy. The Eeveelution family was still playing around together as well, though Andarien had to also keep an eye on Zeus and make sure he didn't go overboard with his electricity. Not that the poor thing could help it, but it was something Andarien was trying to teach him to control.

"So?" the young man asked as the rest of his family returned outside. "Anything interesting?"

They hadn't been in there long, and they had all come out at once, so he supposed not.

"It happened to be a physician's office," Lin explained to Andarien, "That's what the unicorn stood for."

Which now that they knew, made a lot of sense.

"Mom and ada chatted for a bit," Miyuki added.

It was short, since he was busy, but it did provide a bit of information.

Andarien nodded when he found out it was a physician's clinic, but he arched one eyebrow when Miyuki mentioned that their parents had chatted a while.

"Oh?" he said in a curious tone. "Find out anything interesting?"

"Well...." Miyuki mused.

She did find it interesting that he knew of Kyrie's reputation and she suspected that he knew very well that she knew medicine. Miyuki told her brother this, explaining his parting words, the fact he told them to come back if they needed to but he felt with Kyrie with them that was highly unlikely.

"He also mentioned which country he was from, but I found that reaction to Kyrie most interesting," she finished.

Andarien blinked slowly, processing what his sister had said. "Yeah?" he asked at length. "How do you mean, interesting? Like, surprising? Or ... what?"

Interesting could mean so many things after all. Amusing. Thought provoking. Surprising. Odd.

Miyuki blinked, realizing she hadn't been really clear (or maybe it was just interesting to her).

"Not surprising, it just says something about Kyrie. Like, we knew she has knowledge in medicine, but she must have quite a bit of a reputation if a physician is so certain about her skills," Miyuki explained.

After all, Kyrie had learned apparently from her husband and brother, but she hadn't learned with the intention of becoming a physician. It was just assumed she knew enough to deal with most emergencies, if a fully trained physician felt that comfortable about them traveling with her, it must be more than that.

"Her knowledge would have to be enough that it's not just most emergencies she can deal with," Miyuki added.

Andarien nodded thoughtfully. "I hadn't thought of that," he admitted. "But then, I know how inexperienced I am. There's still a lot about traveling that wouldn't occur to me. But you know," he added, "you could always ask Kyrie. About how much she really knows, I mean. Though she did patch up Shiro really well, and Shiro said that it was really serious, that even in Gaia, with their ... uh ... hopsals? Whatever they call them there. Those really big clinics people go to for big problems. Anyways, he said that even in Gaia, at those places, it would have been iffy for him."

That was when Kyrie's skill had more or less sunk in for Andarien, when he had been told that even in Gaia, whose technology was so far advanced beyond what he had seen in Arda, it would have been considered a difficult operation.

"But I guess she's had to learn," he added after a moment's thought. "She's been traveling for a really long time, after all, hasn't she?"

"She has been, centuries even," Miyuki murmured, "We had talked about that earlier, since she had never heard of the person who rescued our hosts before. It kind of bothers her I think, because she should have at least heard about him after centuries of traveling."

Though, Miyuki really didn't know what to think about that.
