Koras nodded happily... only for Cadaver to suddenly appear between the two lovebirds once more, his face completely serious as he returned to human form. "Koras, Lilian, you need to come see this, now." His voice held a surprising amount of urgency as he began leading them to the abandoned facility on the edge of town.

Cadaver didn't answer, instead phasing one hand through the door to open it from the inside and leading the two in. "You might want to hold onto your stomachs," he warned softly before flicking on the light switch.
Carnage. Complete and utter carnage was the only way to describe the room. Countless corpses all over the place, mangled and mutilated, all dressed in Team Rocket uniforms and with looks of terror on their lifeless faces; the large red R on one wall confirmed that the place belonged to Team Rocket. In a corner of the room was a strange Pikachu-sized glass container, obviously shattered from the outside, and on the wall was a single message (albeit in horrible handwriting):
THE POKEMON YOU'RE LOOKING FOR ISN'T IN CERULEAN CAVE ANYMORE.
"It's a message for us," Cadaver spoke quietly, obviously shaken. "The corpses are fresh, indicating that they've only been dead a few minutes at the most - that puts the ToD during when we were talking to Brown. Someone knew we'd be in the area, they knew we were looking for the Pokemon mentioned in the message in order to save Koras's life, they knew I'd sense all the death in the area and come investigate it... question is, who is it, how do they have so much info about us. and how did they pull this off?"
Then Koras managed to spot a tan-and-brown blur amongst the carnage and instinctively pulled Lilian out of the way as a slightly smaller than normal Primeape slammed a lightning-covered fist against where the Mew-girl had been a moment ago, eyes blazing with blind fury as its fist created a rather impressive crater for its size. The blood-covered Primeape immediately turned to Lilian, glaring fiercely with its one good eye - the other eye had a long scar across it. "Prime-APE!" It rushed at her again with blinding speed, this time using Acrobatics.

Seeing as Koras was banned from using his powers, Cadaver quickly slashed at the Primeape using a Shadow Claw, only to get nailed by another Thunderpunch before the Ghost specialist would react. The Primeape then rushed at Lilian again, this time with a Cross Chop attack...
"B! ENOUGH!"
...Only to hesitate with its hands mere inches from Lilian as a familiar voice registered with it, somewhat cutting through the anger clouding its mind. This gave enough time for Brown to grab the Primeape - apparently named B - and kick it across the room, though fortunately major damage was done to the Pokémon. It did seem to snap the Fighting-type out of it, though.
Brown frowned as he surveyed the area. "B... what did I tell you about these little rampages of yours?" The monkey-like creature immediately sprang to his feet, making frantic hand motions and noises in an attempt to explain itself; it was a bit tricky to understand, but the general idea B was conveying seemed to be that Team Rocket were the lowest scum to ever exist and needed to be wiped off the face of the Earth, preferably in a slow and excruciatingly painful fashion. However, that excuse didn't fly with Brown, if the way the young man proceeded to glare at the Pokémon with enough ferocity that B instinctively shut up and froze was any indication. "I know you hate Team Rocket, and for a good reason at that - believe you me, I do too - but that does not excuse your actions. When I said 'take care of them', you know perfectly well that I meant that you should knock them out and report them to Officer Jenny, not massacre everything and everyone Team Rocket-related in the building." He then glanced over at the message written in blood. "And when I said 'leave a message for the Ghost Elemental and his friends to find about the info they need to know', I was thinking something a little less gruesome than writing it in blood - you know, you intercepting them in the city and giving them a sticky note or something."

"I won't deny B here has issues," Brown acknowledged calmly, "but he didn't attack you for no reason - he attacked because you smell a little like a Team Rocket member we had the misfortune of encountering a while back." The young man chuckled bitterly. "He doesn't exactly have reason to be fond of them, hence his little rampage here, and neither do I. Now, why don't you calm down." With those last two words, Brown's eyes glowed slightly, and suddenly Lilian found herself robbed of any and all anger - even the power she'd been gathering had dispersed.
Cadaver noticed how Lilian's anger had suddenly been ripped from her, but didn't make an issue of it as he spoke up. "Just to be clear here: whose side are you on?" he asked bluntly.
Brown just chuckled. "I'm on the side of the Pokémon, of course."
Cadaver frowned. "I notice you didn't include humans in that..."
Brown just gave the young man a dark little smirk. "And they say dead men can't tell tales... whoever made the saying obviously never met you. What can I say? I can barely tolerate looking in a mirror, let alone being around other humans. Pokémon are much less monstrous." Obviously, he was more than a little cynical concerning humanity for some reason. His smile then vanished entirely as he returned his gaze to Lilian, his voice becoming cold. "But enough about that. You don't like me, I'm honestly not all that fond of you or humans in general and can barely tolerate zombie-boy, so I'll get down to business: if you want to save your boy-toy, you'll need my help... or rather, the help of a certain Pokémon in my possession." He then smiled mockingly again. "Now, human, are you going to listen or no?" It was remarkable how he could make "human" sound like a synonym for "soulless, irredeemable monster".

"...Well, I did warn her to calm down." Brown frowned as he walked up and examined the girl before he finally spoke to the unconscious hybrid, his voice so cold it made ice seem warm. "You may be a Mew in body, but in heart and mind, you are still a human, born and raised as a human. No amount of change to one's biology can change what one truly is, no matter what kind of skin they wear. A Ditto in the form of a Legendary is still nothing more than a Ditto, and you're nothing more than a human in Pokémon skin, naïve to true suffering." He stood up, eyes emotionless as he spoke to Cadaver and Koras nearby. "When you have all eight badges and the little b***h is ready to listen to reason, seek me out in the Viridian Forest... and if she is ready to understand, then and only then will I heal Koras." With that, himself and B glowed with a psychic aura and vanished as one of his Pokemon teleported himself and his partner away.
Koras stared at the place where the young man and the Primeape had been a moment, troubled for some reason, before shaking his head to clear it and picking Lilian up, patiently waiting for her to awaken since he was pretty sure that walking into town with a Shiny Mew wouldn't exactly be low profile.

Koras just gently held the girl; he'd have sung to her to calm her down and soothe her, but he knew that'd just piss her off since it would involve using his powers, so he shut up and comforted her the old-fashioned way: gently holding her and patting her on the shoulder to let her know everything was going to be okay.
Cadaver wordlessly picked up the egg even as Gold scurried over to them, jumping onto his shoulder and watching Lilian with concern. "Pika?"

Cadaver sighed and nodded, leading the other two even as Koras adjusted his grip so nobody could see exactly what he was carrying beyond the fact it was blue - he didn't want anyone to get any ideas. Once they were back in their room, Cadaver locked the door behind him so they wouldn't be disturbed, and Koras gently put Lilian down on the bed.
The friendly neighborhood Zoruchu, meanwhile, had noticed Gold and the slight sheen the Pikachu had to its fur and was currently trying to stuff Gold inside his little Magikarp shiny-storage thingy, much to its fellow mouse's bafflement and Cadaver's amusement.

(Sorry I took so long, kept getting distracted.)

Hellion immediately forgot about Gold and began eagerly eating the Poffin, making sure to savor it since he wasn't sure how many big poffins were left.
Kitsune was a little disappointed about Sweets leaving his side, but didn't make an issue of it given the circumstances - he understood.
Koras smiled gently to Lilian as if to reassure her everything was going to be okay before getting into bed next to her, not wanting to leave her alone when she could obviously use all the comfort she could get.

The Next Morning...

Cadaver and Gold were the first to wake up. He noticed Lilian's return to human form out of the corner of his eye, as well as the fact that she was naked (though fortunately for his health, he didn't take in any details) and made a hasty exit, the only thing keeping him from blushing being his lack of blood as he phased through the locked door.
Koras woke up next and blushed as he realized his lover was not only herself again, but also in her birthday suit. Naturally, it was taking every ounce of his willpower not to grope her.
