Lorelai blinked in confusion at Keita's question. She didn't even recognize him since she vaguely remembered a black haired boy dressed in blue. She wouldn't have even guessed the same boy was standing in front of her now, he looked so completely different from when she'd first seen him. Not entirely certain what sort of answer Keita was expecting, Lorelai merely smiled and shrugged as she honestly stated, "You look fine to me." As Keita introduced himself and asked for names, Lorelai gave him a friendly grin as she replied, "It's a pleasure to mee you, Keita. I'm Lorelai Dannehur, and this is my friend Kino."

As the group minded there own business, the barrier flickered silently and invisible to those without any spiritual attributes. The barrier made of youki was visible to other youkai but that was it. That barrier was strong in itself, telling of the strength of the old fox youkai. Beneath the barrier was the barrier from the monk Keita. It was strong but it wasn't the intoxicating purity that Kagome's was. Beneath it all hummed the barrier from the staff, unknown to all except those that knew of the strength of it. Only Tomo and Hotaru would know its existence and presence. As far as anyone knew the barrier had fallen when the attack upon the village came. It had flickered and died, seeming to fall completely. It had not, merely seeping into the ground and coating the entire land with purity. Already the crops were beginning to soak in the pure ground, thriving.
Outside the village and forest, eyes surveyed the village below them. They had already deemed that they could not enter in easily. The female looked to the male human that sat with her on the feather. How were they to do his bidding when they couldn't even enter the village? The boy raised his eyes and gave a brave nod. He would be the one to lure them out. He would lure out the ones they were sent to retrieve. The female nodded and settled the feather on the ground. She watched the boy disembark. Before she could wish him luck, a Saimoshu appeared. Lifting into the air breezily, she turned away, gathering youkai toward the forest. Those who were sensitive to the feel of youki would feel the darkness gathering.
The boy stumbled through the barrier. He had allowed some of the youkai they had gathered to injure him and wound him. He was now bleeding heavily from a gash on his shoulder and had numerous cuts all over his body.

㊋Ҝɩɳѻҝɑ Ѧɩɾɩ㊋ Kino chuckled and nodded. "Yes. But it's better to keep children in good spirits than to let them feel the sting of reality." She sighed quietly. When Keita approached, Kino looked him over. His scent was new. She smiled when Lorelai introduced her. A few of the wolves were nearby when the boy stumbled through the barrier. They quickly surrounded him, and finding him bloody and beat up, they supported him. Raku was among the group. He threw his head back and howled loud and low. It was followed by another high-pitched howl. Kino's head jerked around and she spun when she heard the wolf howl. "Someone is in trouble." She looked at the pair with her. "Keita, please fetch the Hotaru, and Lady Kaede. Maybe Kurama too if he's rested. Lori-chan, will you please follow me." Kino trusted the fox girl more than this new boy. She started moving toward the sound, grabbing Lorelai's hand and not really giving her a choice but to follow. She was practically dragging the young hanyou. When they reached the boy, Kino rushed to his side. "Help me lay him down, please." She looked at Lorelai. The fox demoness couldn't shake the bad feeling she was getting from outside the barrier. She worried for the safety of the village. { Sorry if it seems I've god-modded. Just trying to get this started again. }

 Hotaru had grown lost in thought. His touch startled her back into the world. Staring down on him, she studied him. Her human side was blushing like mad and amazed at the fact that he was touching her. Of course that wasn't her now so she remained somewhat aloof. Allowing a small smile to appear, she nodded to him. "I thank you for your support."
In that moment, a stirring brought her attention towards the forest. It didn't remain within the forest though. It moved beyond the forest. Something was building out there. It was malevolent and evil. She was very certain of that. Rising as though nothing was wrong, she turned to look down at Masato. "Whenever the need shall arise, I shall call upon you. For now... I believe I wish to go inspect the shrine. Perhaps you can try to reach within the bow and seek out the female there. She is no doubt confused and frustrated." Bowing her head slightly, she headed to the shrine.
Hiro had followed Kino around, watching over her. It was almost as if he felt the need to be around her. When Keita appeared, he growled in anger. He did not like the boy. He moved between Lorelai and Kino. He didn't snap but he made his displeasure known to all. Even the children and moved from around him, keeping their distance.
Tomo woke from his sleep feeling somewhat refreshed. He felt better. Rising from the bedding, he moved to the door and headed out. Finding himself near the old fox youkai, he moved over to him. "Hello sir. I see ye have finished the huts." He grinned, settling near the old fox.

 ((OOC: That's okay Tsuki. Lorelai would've been willing to tag along anyway to help someone in need so no harm done. biggrin )) Lorelai smiled and nodded in agreement to Kino's statement. As silly as it might have sounded to some, Lorelai had made herself the unofficial guardian of the children's smiles and happiness. If it looked like any of her wards were in danger of fully realizing what the absence of a friend or loved one meant that they had lost, Lorelai made sure she was there to provide a distraction. Before Lorelai had a chance to add in her own opinion on the matter, she yelped in surprise as Kino suddenly grabbed her hand and started running with her after stating someone was in trouble.
Once Lorelai got over her surprise at being unexpectedly dragged off by Kino, she picked up her pace until she fell into step with the older fox. Sensing the urgency of the situation, Lorelai didn't even complain about suddenly being dragged away and merely did her best to keep up until they reached their destination. As they reached the boy, Lorelai was quick to take note of his injuries and didn't hesitate to help Kino in getting him to lie down. Lorelai knelt over the boy, her expression and voice both filled with concern for his well-being as she asked, "Hey kid, are you gonna be okay? How'd you get this far with those injuries?"
Without even waiting for a response, Lorelai was already rummaging through her travel sack for dried medicinal herbs, a mortar and pestle, some bandages, and a cleaning cloth. As she dipped the cloth in a nearby stream and proceeded to clean the wound on the boy's shoulder, Lorelai handed Kino the herbs that would help to disinfect the injury and stop the bleeding. "Kino-chan, I need you to crush these herbs for me until they make a paste. Can you do that for me, please?" As she talked and cleaned blood from the wound on the boy's shoulder, Lorelai gave a small sigh of relief after inspecting the injury. "Well, at least it doesn't seem deep enough to need stitches at any rate. That's some good news." As far as Lorelai could tell, all the boy would need was an herbal poultice held in place with bandages and his shoulder would be fine once it had time to heal.While Lorelai and Kino tended to the injured boy, Gramps returned Tomo's grin with one of his own. Now that the rebuilding was finished, Gramps had reverted back to his human form and was wiping sweat from his brow with a white piece of cloth draped around his shoulders like a towel. "Aye, that was quite a satisfying amount of work. It's good to be back among people again where I can put me building skills to use. I feel happiest when I'm making something with me own two hands and then I can show me work to others once I'm finished." His smile grew even wider as he happily commented, "Why, I don't believe I've ever been to a village more welcoming to folk like myself and Lori-chan. Otherwise we would have settled long ago. They folk here were quite persistent in persuading me to build a hut for meself and me dear granddaughter." His expression turned sheepish as Gramps admitted, "Well... they were so set on it, I didn't have the heart to say no, and... since nobody seems to mind, I took their advice and built a hut for myself and Lori-chan to settle whenever she returns from adventuring excursions." Gramps knew that once things settled down in the village Lorelai would most likely be off to track down Totosai so he could forge her a sword.

The boy stared at the girl that helped him. She was obviously the hanyou their master wanted. What about this girl that drew him to her he had no idea. Perhaps it was the purity in her that he could see through her eyes. He didn't understand why his master wanted the two of them. He didn't wish to place them under his control but he had to remain ever vigilant in the secrecy of his returned memories and emotions. His master had yet to take note of it thankfully. He felt a faint worry over his sister but obviously, she was still in the shadow realm. Word had reached the rest of the incarnations about their task in that other world. A world he himself had never known to exist.
Feeling his master's presence in his mind, he spoke quickly and hurriedly, giving the air to urgency in his words. "My sister. Our village was attacked. She and I ran away but the youkai aught up to us." He pushed away, standing. "We have to hurry. We split up and the youkai started chasing her." He darted bak out of the barrier, running as quik as he could.
Outside the barrier, the wind youkai watched the boy run out of the barrier toward the thick of the youkai. She waved her fan, and the scent of the youkai turned from the path that the boy was taking so the two wouldn't be able to scent them. Once they were far enough away, the youkai would attack and incapacitate them. She would then remove them from the area. She was troubled by her actions but she steeled herself. Perhaps there would be some way to help them in some small ways. Perhaps they would be able to help her retrieve her heart and free her sister as well as the boy.
(Feel free to auto what happens with these two and the youkai. There are others that control these two characters but considering they are currently Hiatus, I am taking over as their controller until I get word from them. For right now, they are npcs.If anything, go ahead and mod them and knock yourselves unconcious lol.)

 Hiro had watched everyone moving around and speaking. When he felt the mass of youkai forming beyond the forest, he began to growl more darkly, focused in the direction. When Kino informed him to get Hotaru, he gave a short bark of acknowledgement. Turning, he raced toward the village. Trying to find the scent of his mistress.
Meanwhile, Hotaru had arrived at the shrine. She moved to the staff, studying it. It was standing strong, even after the onslaught of that youkai from before. Settling onto her knees before it, her gaze moved toward the forest, her expression solemn. It was building. The evil force was there waiting. For what she wasn't sure. She remained watching, waiting.
Tomo nodded in agreement. "It is good to be welcomed. Know that if you ever you travel into the southern lands, you will be welcomed there as well. Lady Hotaru is ever devoted to the welfare of human, hanyou and youkai alike." Tomo chuckled, leaning against a hut. "We humans can be very stubborn and persuasive."

㊋Ҝɩɳѻҝɑ Ѧɩɾɩ㊋ Kino gently pushed Lorelai's herbs back to her. "We don't need the herbs. I need you to help me keep him still." She watched as the younger fox cleaned the boy's wound. Kino placed her hand directly onto the injury, which would have sent a jolt of pain through the kid. She and Lorelai would have to hold him down. After a few moments, Kino removed her hand and the wound was sealed, with just a scar remaining. It was the worst of his wounds, so she paused to examine the others. Kino hesitated, glancing at Lorelai. She wasn't sure if the hanyou had seen this power before. Then suddenly, the boy started speaking quickly about his village being attacked. Before Kino could question him about it, he jumped up and started running toward the barrier. Kino was instantly to her feet, looking to Lorelai to see if she was going to go after the boy too. Kino ran through the barrier after the boy. She spotted him ahead and glanced around suspiciously. Living in a wolf pack can teach you to treat every situation with caution. But she could not smell any danger in the trees. She still felt an impending evil force, but she couldn't focus on it. She was too concerned with the boy. As they caught up with him, she grabbed the shoulder she'd already healed and stopped him. "Stop and let me finish healing you. If you stay injured, you'll be no good to your sister in a fight." They boy looked at her, questioning. Then he stood still, looking between the two foxes. "I'm sorry. What are your names?" Kino had already healed the cuts on his legs by the time he asked. She stood up to start working on his torso and smiled. "I'm Kinoka. Everyone calls me Kino." The boy then looked to Lorelai. "And you?"{{ I'm assuming Lorelai would chase after him too. I don't think she could let a kid run off all injured, trying to fight demons. 3nodding }}

__________⇢xxKeita Hideyoshi █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ █ _____________________"Everyone tells me I'm a reincarnation,but their wrong. I am me."Possessions: 1 Jewel Shard (Constantly being purified) With: A hoard of demons"Nice to meet you as well." spoke Keita with a smile. When the alert went up for someone in trouble, Keita was given an order to fetch two people. He had not seen where the Lady of the Southern Lands had gone, but he could get Granny Kaede. It was not long before Keita had managed to pull Granny Kaede out of the hut with him towards everyone else. As the two moved down the large staircase towards Keita stopped short at the strong demonic presence that was over taking the area. "Granny Kaede..?" questioned Keita softly as the two looked out beyond the barrier. "Aye child. Strong demonic forces are gathering nearby." However, that did not stop the two from seeing the two girls chase after a rather injured male.
Immediately dashing off after the two and directly outside of the barrier, a swarm of demons covered his view, but he did manage to watch the two girls get kidnapped. "Lorelai! Kino!" exclaimed Keita loudly before he was cut short. The swarms of demons were now posed to attack, causing him to rip an arrow out from his quiver. Waiting until the demons began to move, he released the arrow as his spiritual energy coated it. It ripped directly through four demons purifying the demons directly near their slain brethren. He was rather outnumbered, but he needed to prevent them from getting to close to the village. The barriers that had been established would immediately destroy the demons, but he wished to save the barriers from unneeded work. If he could lead the demons away then that would be fine right?
Turning his head slightly, he could see the villagers beginning to pray within the village that nothing bad would happen to their village. Pulling another arrow out, he notched back slightly, before releasing it with great force. As the arrow shot past the demons, it purified all which it passed before lodging itself in the ground. Pulling another arrow it, he held it firmly in his hand trying to observe the demon's movements. "There's no end to them..."

While Kino treated the boy's shoulder, Lorelai managed to help pin him down while rubbing the boy's back in a soothing motion to try and provide some comfort. Once Kino was done, Lorelai released him while she asked, "How are you feeling? Any better?"
The boy actually took her by surprise as he suddenly took off after explaining how he'd gotten separated from his sister. Lorelai uttered a cry of protest and quickly started to chase after him. "Oi! You mustn't run around like that in your condition, you're still bleeding! D'you have a death wish or something?!"
Lorelai shifted into the form of a fox so it would be easier for her to run and catch up with their wayward patient and planted herself in front of him. As Lorelai reverted back to her original humanoid form, she was panting slightly and placed a hand on the boy's shoulder in what she hoped was a reassuring gesture. "Kino-chan's right, you can't just go running into battle in your condition. Let her heal you first and then we'll help you go after your sister. Okay?" Lorelai gave the boy her best friendly grin she had to offer as she gladly introduced herself upon his asking for her name. "My name is Lorelai Dannehur, but I also answer to Lori. What's your name?"As Gramps continued his conversation with Tomo, perhaps it was because of the old fox's age that he was blissfully unaware of the youkai gathering outside the layered barrier. Otherwise he would have been more concerned with the village's safety and trying to pinpoint his granddaughter's current location instead of exchanging idle pleasantries with the monk. He gave a wide grin and nodded as he wholeheartedly agreed with Tomo. "Ah, Lady Hotaru is wise indeed then. I share the same ideals that she does concerning our three races. I believe we can all exist in harmony as equals if we just work at it. This village is a fine example of that, in my opinion. Perhaps...when things calm down in the village a bit and it doesn't look like it needs any protection, one day I may just take you up on your offer and go traveling. Lori's bound to go off on her own again. No need for her to go and hog all the fun."

The boy stared at them. "Kohaku..." It was time then. At the sound of his name, the attack commenced. Kohaku raised his hand and within seconds got caught up into the air by the wind youkai. "Kagura..." Kagura checked over his injuries with a frown. Below them, the youkai had swarmed at the sound of Kohaku's name, the signal for attack. They came in masses, pressing down on the two girls. Off to the side, a surge of pure energy eradicated some of the youkai. Kagura frowned silently. Drifting the feather closer, she raised her fan. "Dance of Blades!" The attack came rough and harsh, tearing up the ground. It proceeded to slam against the barrier.

Lorelai was completely taken off guard by the unexpected swarm of demons. She was so caught up in defending herself, she didn't even notice when Kohaku left to rejoin Kagura. Lorelai's only weapons were her fists, claws, feet, and teeth which she was using to the best of her ability. However, she was soon distracted by a demon literally giving her a hotfoot. "YEOOOOOOOOOOW! Hotototototot! Water, water! WHERE'S WATER?!!!!!!!!" While she frantically danced and hopped around in an attempt to put out the fire on her foot during her panicky search for water, another demon came up and knocked her in the back of the head, effectively stunning her. Lorelai made a rather unintelligent sound as she collapsed on the ground. In her daze she could be heard mumbling, "Look at the pretty stars...." Lorelai's words were a bit slurred due to a mild concussion as she rambled on about the imaginary stars dancing around her head. Meanwhile, the fire on her foot had gone out. The skin on her foot wasn't bleeding or singed and was still in one piece, but it did have a painful reddish glow to it. Lorelai was going to be in pain when she finally came to her senses.

The sky... The sea... There is always a place to be... Izuna! Masato Tanaka Go Shikigami! Masato withdrawn his hand and sat there quietly as he looked out into the forest. He glanced at Hotaru as she finally spoke up after she had recollected herself. He didn't say anymore after she had thanked him, keeping a smile on his face as he did the best he could. She rose and had faced him, he wondered what Hotaru was going to do now after their conversation. He was a bit astonished at her words, but he would do the best he can to help Hotaru. He nodded and off she went to her duty to deal with the shrine. He removed the bow that was around him and held it in his hands, examining the shape and form. He studied it for a small amount of time, the only thought that came was how he would get in contact with the girl that was trapped in the bow. He slowly closed his eyes, wanting to try to meditate with the bow in his possession, if he were to concentrate then he would be able to get a hold of this girl. What would he do after he would interact with this girl? Would she help him and his friends? He slowly drift into a calm and clear conscious, he would have to see rather than have a thousand questions pop up in his head.
There was something there, but a dark presence that he couldn't understand. As he went deeper into reading what the strange feeling he was feeling, his senses directed not to the bow, but from somewhere else. It was near, he could feel it grow that he was uncertain what this ominous feeling was. Masato's eyes flew open and faced at the direction that was growing strongly. It couldn't be could it? He grew pale at the thought and got up to turn his full attention at the clustered demonic aura. It sent shivers down his spine, his hands curled into fists and his thoughts raced. It was happening again, like before, that they would have to deal with more yokai who were invading the village once more. Why? Why would they still come and attack them? His questions seized and turned to resolve. They would have to fight either way, no point to think about reasons why they have to fight. They have to defend the village from a yokai attack, everyone was out there to fight off these yokai who keep coming to demolish the home that he had left. Home... he stayed here ever since he came here and was treated kindly and respectful. He would defend those who were innocent.
The Shikigami that weren't present, appeared to announce the attack that was present. The Shikigami looked at each other and soon looked at him in the matter of what their lord's decision to this oppression. "Let's go." He spoke to them. The Shikigami raced to the location of where the fighting was taking place. He slip on the bow around him and made haste to the swarming of yokai who were trying to make way into the village. The barrier was still up to keep the yokai outside, but they shouldn't be able to get in. His Shikigami were his allies to assist in battle, but he didn't have a weapons to deal with demons if he were to face one. His thoughts on the bow that contained the soul was his only option, but even then he didn't have anything for close combat. He would have to make up what he had in his possession. "If you could hear me, please help." He muttered to the bow, he would have to try to see if the bow would help him in his time of need. He continued to run, to catch up to his little friends who had already reached to the scene. One Shikigami paced beside him to keep him out of any danger that would befall on Masato.
When Masato reached to the vicinity, he studied the surrounding area that was crawling with yokai. His friends were in the midst of the fighting, slashing, tearing, shooting, and any other means to deal with the monsters.Location - Kaede's Village Action - Heading toward the yokai invasion Conversation - The bow [Awkward right for an inanimate object? XD] Kind of mood - Shocked Objective - Protect the bow and stop the yokai Outside - Fair Crush - None.

㊋Ҝɩɳѻҝɑ Ѧɩɾɩ㊋ Kino's head was nearly spinning as everything broke down. She could faintly hear someone call her name, but she couldn't focus. Instinctively, she enveloped herself in flames and emerged in her warrior form. She set to work setting some of the demons on fire. She spotted a woman on a giant leaf, attacking the barrier. Flames lit up her arms as she aimed for the leaf and Kagura's fan, but suddenly her vision tunneled and went black. A demon had taken advantage of her distraction and struck her. She collapsed, red hair catching fire and then fizzling to black as she revertd back to her normal form. The demon that struck her would pick her up fireman style and carry her to the leaf. He would also do the same with Lorelai. Then he looked up at Kagura, seeking approval for his actions.

Kagura stared down at the youkai holding the two women. She motioned with her hand and two Saimoshu dropped down and picked of the bodies, depositing them on the feather. Nodding to Kohaku, he immediately set to work, binding them with spelled ropes so that they would be unable to escape. Rising in the air, Kagura smirked darkly. Raising her fan, she spoke coldly. "My Master wishes to thank you for your services by dying." Immediately, she brought down the fan to tear the youkai apart. Rising into the air, she darted off toward Naraku's hideout. He had no care whether or not the youkai survived the onslaught. It wasn't like it didn't matter to him. He had his prize. He did not worry about interference because all of the people who would know his scent was gone.
(Shippo is the only one that would recognize the scent of Naraku.)
