Training Mode Initiated Training Bonus: Turns -1 Style: Mixed Martial Arts
It was familiar to him by now, this place. He'd been here more than anywhere else so far, eager to learn all he could about just plain getting stronger. Sure, it wasn't everything... but it damn sure would help. He stood at the center of the room, the training he'd put himself through before coming here winding through his brain.
Always a good time for a refresher.
"Activate Training Scenario #6."
The area shimmered around him as he rolled his shoulders, sporting the same long-sleeved tribal shirt he'd worn in class a few days earlier. A pair of thai shorts, black in color with gold trim, clung to his hips.
A boxing ring appeared just behind him as the scene shifted. A vast wall of mirrors on the south side reflected the ceiling lights, and a row of five heavy bags hung from a support beam to the south. The walls turned an off-white as he jogged in place to warm up, weight benches and racks seeming to pop out of the floor to line the west wall.
Matt looked around after five minutes went by, satisfied with the results. Okay, time to get moving. He took off the close-fitting shirt and walked toward a supply bin, pulling out a pair of training gloves and slipping them on. Right, ready to go. He headed toward one of the heavy bags and got started on his routine...

Matt's left leg rammed into the bag, just near the bottom. The shin sank two inches into the leather before making it swing just slightly. Matt bounced on his toes for a few moments before settling back into a fighting stance, then delivering another sharp kick, making the bag pop. (Three Posts Remaining) He figured he would throw a few blows, as if distracting the target from his true intent. A flurry of blows pounded into the bag before the sudden kick made it swing yet again. Okay, that one felt good. (Two Posts Remaining) Matt wasn't even breaking a sweat yet as he threw a few jabs at the bag, making sure to put his weight behind the short punches. A refresher on the basics was never a bad thing. One jab, another, and then a sharp kick with the left leg. He imagined it doing some damage to someone's knee. Thirty miles an hour was more than enough to do that. (One Post Remaining) He threw another kick, managing to dig his kick five inches in instead of two. Matt grinned as he stepped away from the bag, taking a break from his drills. "Hell yeah, that was a good one!" Matt headed over to the water fountain to take a drink, fired up about the rest of his workout. New Technique! Inside Kick Rank D A quick round kick with the front leg meant to cause the target's forward leg to give out. Aimed for the knee or inner thigh, this kick, when properly thrown, can crank out a nice thirty mile-per-hour whack. It's like a whip with a crow bar at the end of it. Enough of these, and movement can and will be hindered.

۞Jonathan Haste۞ Satisfied that he had reached the beginning stage of the style, Jonathan started looking for the first skill of the style. After a quick search through a couple of the pages, he found the one called Static Movement. It was pretty simple in theory, all muscles used electrical signals to move, so this skill allowed the user to use electricity to move the muscles. 1/2 This skill would be useful if he somehow found his body not working the way it should, like if he was paralyzed. So Jonathan focused his lightning energy into his arm, and tried to move his muscles that way. And after sending a jolt, his fist clenched into a fist. 2/2 Static Movement learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

۞Jonathan Haste۞ Now that Jonathan had completed the first stage of the style, he went back to the book for the next thing. After doing a quick search he came across the next skill called Lightning Fist. So he took a few minutes to read up on the skill. 1/4 "The user builds up lightning into their fist and punches an opponent with a quick but powerful blow that can send them flying if the user so desires. This also has the ability to stun and paralyze an opponents body for one post if hit and slow them down for an extra post. At level 3 this technique can be used with feet as well." 2/4 Jonathan read over the specifics of the skills a few times before he thought he had a pretty good grasp on it. Essentially all the skill is is to focus your lightning energy into your fist, and punch your opponent with it. Simple in theory, but it still needed to be practiced. 3/4 So Jonathan took a moment to wait for the training room to create an opponent for him. Once it did, Jonathan focused his lightning energy into his fist, and punched at the holographic person. The electricity jumped into the person's body, and he fell to the ground. 4/4 Lightning Fist learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

۞Jonathan Haste۞ The hologram stayed on the floor for a moment or two because he was paralyzed by the electricity, but stood back up fairly quickly. Now that Jonathan knew for sure that he had done the skill correctly, he opened up the book to read up on the next skill. He flipped through a couple of the pages, and soon came to a skill called lightning tackle. 1/4 "This is the first instance where the fighter uses their electrical energy to enhance their own speed. By charging their body full of electricity for a split second the user flies off their feet and extends their arms to tackle an opponent with their palms facing towards them. The enhanced speed and the minor shocks from palms keep the opponent from breaking free or counterattacking as the user is free to push them into the nearest wall, or through it if they so desire." 2/4 This one was again pretty simple in concept, but required practice. Jonathan needed to send jolts of electricity into his body to give him a boost of speed, and essentially push the opponent back. It even had the minor benefit of giving the opponent a little shock. 3/4 So Jonathan faced the hologram and took a ready stance. He then pumped his lightning energy into his body, and quickly dashed at his opponent. Jonathan ran much more quickly than he normally would, and when his palms made contact with the hologram, he shocked him. 4/4 Lightning Tackle learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

۞Jonathan Haste۞ Jonathan watch the hologram stumble back, looking a little sluggish as he did so, and knew that he had learned his skill correctly. After the hologram righted it'self back up, Jonathan made himself comfortable on the ground. He then opened up the book again, and looked up the next skill, and read it out loud. 1/6 "A technique that looks just like the Lightning Fist, but isn't. This is a trap used against opponents who try to block the Lightning Fist using their ki. However, the Thunder Break draws its power using the opponent's ki instead, turning their defense against them while bypassing it at the same time. For this reason the Thunder Break can get through all ki-related defenses and deal direct damage to their opponent equal in rank to the energy being used against them. Furthermore, unlike the Lightning Fist this technique does not stun or slow down the opponent when hit." 2/6 "However, by offensively sending the opponent's energy back through their body their ki channels become blocked, disabling them from using any skills for 3 posts. If this attack is used against somebody who doesn't use an ki-based defense against it, then this skill does nothing and becomes just a normal punch. Cannot be done with the feet." 3/6 After reading some more of the specifics of the skill, Jonathan still wasn't too sure how the skill was done. He had a vague understanding of how the skill could be done, but wasn't sure how to put it into use. But like all skills, he probably just needed to practice until it worked. 4/6 Jonathan told the hologram what he needed it to do, and started concentrating energy into his fist. The hologram took a stance, and surrounded himself in a blue energy shield. Jonathan took a moment to just look at the energy shield, before bringing back his fist, and punched at it. 5/6 But the lightning gathered in his fist just fizzled against the energy shield. Well I guess I just have to try it a different way. He thought, and started gathering his energy again. He used his energy a little differently, and gathered it into his fist. He felt the lightning race around his arm, and punched at the energy shield. The lightning then converted the hologram's own energy into lightning, and shocked him. 6/6 Thunder Break learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

Alma Mori
Alma held the book up and opened it flipping through the pages trying to estimate the number of pages before closing it again and sighing "...fine...only because I have to..."she says to herself as she opens the book up again to begin to read (1/5)
upon reading the book she walked a bit forward and sat down closing her eyes as her surroundings changed to just a dark room much like one in her small run down home, but was filled with candles in every direction"so this room does work..."she said as she opened her eyes again. (2/5)
as she opened her eyes she adjusted her eyes to not get bothered by the light the candles where giving out "one must first find the core of there fire..."she said to herself as she stared down into the candle light as the wax slowly melted (3/5)
Alma continued to stare at the fire with out blinking. "then one must fuel the fire..."she said to herself a candle tip over by some unknown force and began to set ablaze the room she was in, leaving all but the small spot she was sitting on to be aflame (4/5)
Alma then stood up unblinking at the fire as she stared at it"then one must..."she said slowly as she held her right arm out "...draw out the flames!"she said then her hand caught ablaze "then finally control the fire!" she yelled to herself as she shifted he Ki to combine with the fire giving her full control of the fire and keeping her from getting damaged by fire in anyway. upon looking back to her surroundings the fire was put out her hand still ablaze with flames before she shook it causing the fire to disperse and putting her hands back to her side's"well then...lucky me..."she said as the hologram faded(5/5)

FENRIR Only through howls of lust and fury
Fenrir figured that he still had a little time before Angel made it to the coliseum for their match. If he hurried he might still be able to finish learning the last jujitsu technique he had. Fenrir moved to an isolated corner of the training room to pick up where he left off. The floor shifted into a cushioned mat beneath his feet and a small number of opponents formed to be his practice dummies. Fenrir started by first stepping forward and deflecting the first move they threw at him. That was the basis for the second style after all. From there he could easily grab their shoulders. Then with a burst of Ki Fenrir threw them. However, this throw was particularly different. He was supposed to keep them falling in a circular motion, tossing them so quickly that they couldn't escape the rhythm. However, with a lack of practice Fenrir couldn't pull this off just yet. The maximum effort he could pull off got him three flips before he lost control over his own throw and the first opponent was sent to the ground. It was still a powerful move, but it wasn't right.
did he begin to find his sense of worth

۞Jonathan Haste۞ With the new library book in hand, Jonathan walked into the training room to learn what was inside. Just like last time there were a few people already in the room, training on whatever fighting styles they like learning. And just like last time, he made his way to an unoccupied area of the room so he wouldn't get in anyone's way. 1/5 Once he was away from everyone else, he made himself comfortable, and started to read about the first stage of the absolute Zero style. "Practitioners have to start off by getting used to the cold weather, and training involves submerging themselves into cold water, and to be one with their Ki. At this stage, practitioners are just learning to control the temperature using Ki, and can only decrease the temperature of the things they touch, not anything long distanced. They have learnt to manipulate their Ki so that the air around them feels cool, but not to the point of freezing. They are strong when fighting against electricity because ice does not conduct electricity as well due to the slow moving and static electrons, and so electric moves will lose 1 rank in power against ice." 2/5 Jonathan sighed once he had read through the description, seeing that this training focus on the person getting used to the cold climate more than anything else. It made sense to do that and all, but it didn't sound like it would be an enjoyable thing. But he needed to do it, so he waited for the training room to create a hologram, and watched as the area he was transformed into a snowy mountainside with a waterfall cascading down from it. 3/5 I'm not gona like this. He murmured to himself as he striped off most of his clothes, and himself into the freezing cold pool of water. Immediately his muscles, and lungs tightened up from the shock of the cold water. Gotta get used to this, gotta get used to this cold water. He shivered, and lowered himself deeper into the water. 4/5 After spending a few minutes in the water, Jonthan started getting used to it. He then started circulating his key, and trying to get it to match the temperature of the water. Then as both his body, and his ki became the same temperature as the water, he didn't feel cold anymore. 5/5 Stage 1 learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

۞Jonathan Haste۞ After getting out of the pool and toweling himself off, Jonathan went to his book and opened it up. Now that he had gone through the training of the first stage, he looked up the first skill in the book. Frozen Touch, seems like a pretty good first step.1/2 Jonathan read up on the specifics of the skill, and then set down the book. He focused on his energy, lowering it's temperature till it was colder than ice, and touched the water in the pool. He then poured out his energy into the pool, and it slowly turned into ice. 2/2 Frozen Touch learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

۞Jonathan Haste۞ Now that Jonathan had learned the frozen touch skill, he opened up the book again to look at the next skill. Ice Mirror, not a very useful skill, but I guess it's all part of the learning experience. He grumbled as he read through the specifics of the skill. 1/2 Jonathan saw that there were still a few puddles around the pool, so he chose one and placed his hand above it. He then he focused his cold ki into the water, and freezing it, and slightly manipulated it. Once he was done, he picked up the piece of ice, and saw that it had a mirror surface to it. 2/2 Ice Mirror learned Ω [Level 2][Energy: 450] Ω

Raven was interested in what he could do, he hadn't yet tried to learn anything yet though, he was slightly distracted from his own personal lessons while he was admiring Alma.
