Yeah, we've actually been all right in terms of flooding, and we live in an upstairs flat anyway, so we'd probably be okay even if our neighbourhood did flood. I came home looking like I'd taken a swim in my clothes, though. My boyfriend's kitchen flooded recently and a bunch of his s**t got destroyed.

Surviving though? It's been horrible again today.
Yeah I'm surviving. Thankfully our landlord finally fixed the heat, so we don't have to leave the oven open to avoid freezing, haha. We've just got a craptonne of people squished into our flat right now. My boyfriend and his douchebag roommate because their place flooded, my very loud, angry Palestinian neighbour from upstairs because his roof is leaking, and my partner's colleague and his wife, because they're visiting from out of town and are kind of stranded now....all in a two-bedroom flat. I have no idea where everyone is going to sleep, but at least we're all warm and dry, I guess. Kind of wishing I had a more extensive board game collection, though. On the upside, this would make one hell of a reality show. lol

I don't do especially well in cold, either, but you can always put more clothes on. There's a limit to how much you can take off. And even if it was legal and socially acceptable to prance around stark naked, taking clothes off ceases to help after a certain point. I sunburn easily, too. I do not tan and I do not freckle. My skin only has two colour settings: pasty white and boiled lobster red. I'm pretty sure I'd melt and then boil away in a tropical climate.

I'd take massive flooding over that kind of heat any day. I've never understood people who love hot weather. It doesn't make any sense to me.
