DeirdreTonbo Revan Star Jerohan Aenakume I wonder now if I should have gone with "The Da-Ragon Code". Oh well. ~ahem~ I'm on a one-word title kick now, because in this economy who can afford to waste words? So why not just a one-word title like "Sacrifices". Or, to be even more economical, why use a whole word when only part of a word will do. So, something like "Dra". Or "Gon". And to be even more economical, why even use part of a word? Why not just a non-verbal grunt, like "Uh". Or "Ack". Or "Urk". 'Cuase that sounds like something my caveman ancestors would say whenever they felt like mating and reproducing... or just mating for craps and giggles. "Ugh!" "Ooog!" "Woman!" "Bow-chicka-bow-wow!" and al that sort of stuff. God, I wish it was that simple... T-T Damn you, modern woman, and your complexeties, while the male mind is still behind in mating ritual times! -coughs- Clearly Rev is saying you can grunt at her some to get her in the sack. Hey Revan. Ug. Ooog. Chikachika woop woop~! ~already in Deirdre's sack~ Effective! O.O

So, in the last week or so I've been sending a lot of emails and fishing for some interest in the guild. The overwhelming response so far is that guilds are out-dated and they prefer forums.
*sigh*
I'm not really sure where to go from there.

What an interesting idea.
Stupid though.
Gaia's forums suck if you're looking for something specific. The search engine is pathetic.
Guilds build communities, which means groups of people with similar interests who can help each other out - a community is greater than the sum of its parts. People whine about never being able to find good stuff, or how people just abandon roleplays all the time... well, the answer to both those problems is right in front of them, if they weren't too lazy and self-absorbed to dedicate some time toward becoming part of a community.

Yeah. Cause apparently without alerts they can't remember to check a thread.
*sigh* Keep at it I guess. We have a base of very loyal members and we're very close-knit at this point. I love the people in my guild to little bitty pieces and I want to see it work. XD

All right so I am finding more time to get online. I'm curious: What RPs are open, and needing some members?

Hmm, the tight-knitness may indeed be scaring off potential recruits, true... but I think we might be able to use that to our advantage. Maybe go out into the main forums, hunt down and make friends in the Yuri RP community, and then attempt to invite them into the guild.
Just a thought.
Also, hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been very active. Bus with real life, and like 20 other things. razz

I've been haunting the barton ooc lately *lol* Sending out mails and such to those whom I think might be interested. I haven't decided if I'm creepy or not though XD
Join our guild... It's really cool. Jooiin us....
I've had some people lately respond like maybe I'm a literacy snob and they're sure they're not a high enough level of literacy. To me I think they didn't actually look at the guild.

Some games, such as the heights that Aena was running asked for a high level of literacy, but she said so right on the front page of her thread. But most of the time the capacity to express yourself in english it literate enough. *shrug*

Anyway. Off to work. I shall repeat myself again that I love you guys *tear*

Being tight-knit doesn't threaten or scare people, it annoys them. No one really wants to be the new kid in school where everyone else already has established relationships.
Just don't be all cliquey with in-jokes or constantly showing off your familiarity with each other, and new people will feel less like new people.

I don't know about anyone else, but it's become increasingly difficult to find a competent person to create a good yuri story with.
When you weed out the younger members who just want to "cyber", the disturbing fetishes, those who can't type more than two sentences, and the elites who think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread, your options become rather limited.
It's even harder for a male when you have to face the unfortunate sexism around here.
Since searching the forums is a fruitless experience, I decided to come here in the hopes of finding a few good one x ones.

If girls are allowed to play guys in yaoi RPs, then guys can play girls in yuri RPs, in my opinion. There are plenty of male writers who write convincing female characters out there. biggrin

A pleasant pause mind you.

I know for my part, I'm a male, and...well while I may not probably be able to write a convincing female character right now, I will certainly try my best. Besides, working from all different angles is something a writer should try
