Jack was about to reply when a cry from one of the crew men alerted him. He stood up and walked out saying "Get Lucia in here and keep her close." He went up to the crew nest to see what the ruckus was about.

Alex got Lucia and she brought her in the room,"Mommy whats going on I heard the cry from one of them." Alex hugged Lucia,"I don't know but you father will check it out."

"what is going on?" Jack asked. The crewman pointed out behind them. "Slave traders, following at close speed." Jack grimaced and told the men to speed things up. They had to outrun them, he hoped. The last thing he needed was Alex or Lucia being taken for slaves.

Lucia was hugging Alex and she buried her face in her chest,"It's okay Lucia...." Alex saw the slave traders boat from the window,'No....not them.' she thought.

Jack jumped down from the crow's nest cursed as the wind died making them slow down. "Arm yourselves men!" He shouted pulling his sword and going to the front of the ship. He could see the traders getting closer.

Soon Lucia saw the ship,"Mom whats that ship." Alex picked Lucia up,"Slave traders...just stay away from the door and windows, Lucia. Jack please be careful." she said backing against the wall and then sitting down on the ground.

Soon the sounds and cries of a battle could be heard through the door and the clinked of mental and swords. Jack fought with his crew and manged to have the upper hand for awhile at least.

Soon the door was broken down and Alex and Lucia were dragged out of the room,"Get off of my daughter you bloody traders! Jack!" Alex tried to get out of there grip but then she got slapped.

Jack spun cutting a trader's head off clean. He saw the traders with Alex and Lucia and growled running over. He stabbed one in the back and killed another hacking through as many as it took to get to Alex. He pushed her behind him and faced the trader with their daughter. "Get your hands off her now, trader," Jack told him pointing his sword at him. The trader pushed Lucia to the side and tried to attack Jack but jack forced his arm behind his back and stabbed him through the heart.

A trader snuck behind Alex and put a knife at her neck and he said,"We let go of the girl if we have the woman or you keep the woman and we take the girl your choice." Alex looked at Jack,"Let her go Jack....she is more important
