As the man dove under Scorpion, the metallic tail tried to swipe downwards to slash at him. The blades missed their target, and Scorpion grunted as something hit him in the abdomen. The man bounced off of the door and knelt on the ground. The blades of the tail scraped against the metal door that was now behind him. Scorpion kept his eyes trained on the man, and only looked away long enough to check his stomach. There was a long scrape running along the green metal where the arrow had sliced across. Fortunately, the shot hadn't been strong enough to pierce through the armor. Scorpion looked up again, readied himself, and shot forward again. His orders were to subdue the intruder. If that couldn't be done, then he was to be eliminated. If he couldn't get rid of the man's weapons, he might not have any other choice but to kill him. Probably be better that way anyway. This man could be from his old laboratory. He could be one of the men from before. Hired to come back and take him away. Take him back into that small room. He wouldn't allow that.

The Count lost all sense of relaxation when he saw that the arrow had only scraped the metal. They would not be enough and he had not explosive arrows. The only thing he had going for him was science. The suit was metal, when metal got cold in would shrink. The Count notched two liquid nitrogen arrows, leaving him with three more in the quiver, and then shot them. One heading directly at Scorpion the other towards the ceiling for the same raining effect it he had used on the symbiotes. But then Scorpion had reached him. Edmond thrust himself into the wall to avoid the primary attack but he felt a sudden pain in his stomach. When he looked to see what is was he found a gash across it. Either the tail had hit him or he had hit it but the end result was the same, something had cut him. Now he needed to hurry. Over time he would only lose blood and that would slow him, weaken him, eventually if he was not fast enough, he would lose this fight.

Realizing that he had drawn the first blood, the Scorpion turned himself around to prepare and attack the man again. He was distracted only momentarily when he realized that he was having difficulty moving his right arm. He glanced down at it for a moment, fining something glossy covering his armored arm. The only thing that could have caused that was the arrow that the man had shot straight at him. Now he knew he needed to take out the man's supply of weapons. Or... take him out completely. Turning his attention back towards the man, Scorpion lunged again. Claws outstretched, and tail aimed for the man's torso.

The Count waited until he had to move and when he did he dove to the side with the intent to get Scorpion's tale stuck in the wall. He was not sure how strong either of the objects were though and could not only rely on that. Using great speed he notched and fired two more liquid nitrogen arrows leaving him with one more and about half a dozen normal arrows.

The tail slammed into the door as the Count had intended it to do. And, to his fortune, the blades of the tail did become wedged in the center of the metal doors. Scorpion knelt on the floor and tried to pull himself free of the door. Instead he watched as the arrows smashed against the door and his tail, freezing the tail in place, and forcing the rest of his tail to become immobile. The man roared in frustration, and began trying to thrash his body free; jerking and kicking at his tail to snap it from his body if needed. He always had his claws, and there were still more 'guards' on their way to this hall.

The Count had his chance to strike and could take his chance but he hesitated. He notched his last liquid nitrogen arrow and took aim. "I am willing to make you a deal, you open the door for me and walk away, and i will not end this right now. Live to die another day." That was the Count's final and only offer. He did not want to kill this creature who was only defending his home. There was nothing wrong with what the creature was doing, but the Count had promised Rosie answers, he was a man of his word.

Nine1122 Permission to kill if you want. He was an extra character that was brought in for plot purposes *years* ago. The Count will have someone a bit more challenging if he is killed though. Scorpion stared back at the man and gave him a snarl. "Liar. You're with that other lab. You're just going to take me back! They told me. They told me any intruders were probably from the other lab. I won't let you take me back. I won't!" In a burst of energy, Scorpion lunged forward. His tail was torn loose with a metallic cry of metal being wretched apart. The man continued forward, claws aimed for the Count's throat. He was far too paranoid about the laboratory that birthed him to care about his own safety. He'd been this way since he first escaped from the lab. And then again from SHIELD.

"No I am not." The Count said before Scorpion lunged. He did not want to kill the man and saw only one other option. He did not have super strength or speed just enhanced human strength and speed but that would be all he needed. He dropped his bow and the arrow and lunged for the wall taking two steps up and pushing off it onto Scorpion's back. With no tail he had less to worry about. The Count wrapped his right arm around Scorpion's neck and used his left to secure the hold. Then he began adding pressure. He was trying to put Scorpion to sleep in a manner other than death. When he found he could apply no more strength he attempted to slam Scorpion's head into the wall.

Scorpion snarled as he felt the man's arm lock around his neck. The metal armor kept the Count from completely putting him into a sleep hold, but the pressure he was putting on the neck of the suit could be a problem. Plus... he was now in a spot that Scorpion couldn't reach him. The man inside the suit growled again and began thrashing to try and throw him off. It wasn't long until he felt his head slam into the wall in front of them. THAT managed to make him settle down. Scorpion stopped thrashing and instead put his focus on trying to pry the man's arms away from his throat as he tried to regain his senses. As an idea drifted by, Scorpion lunged himself backwards, trying to slam the Count into the wall. Unfortunately with the room still spinning, Scorpion missjudged where to lunge, and instead shoved himself and the count away from the wall and into the center of the hall.

Edmond could tell that Scorpion was disoriented when he moved them into the center of the hall. It would be a bit easier now but The Count did not relax. He held the hold and once more tried slamming Scorpion's head into the wall. The blood loss from the cut on his stomach would become a problem soon if he did not deal with it and the longer this fight took him the more likely reinforcements would arrive to help Scorpion.

Scorpion grunted as his head was again suddenly jerked into the wall. This time his thrashing became much weaker; the lack of oxygen and dizziness finally catching up to him. He shoved himself away from the wall one more time, but lost his balance and fell to the floor. His body thrashed for a moment, then grew limp on the ground. As the hallway grew silent thanks to the end of the tussle, a new set of footsteps softly echoed from far down the hall.

It was when Scorpion went limp that the Count let go. The first thing he did was run over to the door. "Rosies! any chance you found some way to open it for me?" He asked.

There was a long silent pause, then the little "ghost" Rosie slid her head back through the wall. "Um... well I could try to pull you through like I did with my double..." she answered. "Or there's some stuff in here that I can use to try and open it. The door might explode though." she warned.

"well they already know we are here so just blow it up." The Count said before taking many steps back away from the door. he wasn't sure exactly how it would blow up if it did and wanted to be a safe distance away.

The girl slid back into the other side of the door. She then turned and rand back down the long hallway towards the chemical room that the other duplicate was in. After bolting into the room, and past the inky double that was skimming through bottles of pills, she ripped a metal box out of a cupboard on the other side of the room. Inside the box were small metal explosives that looked as though they were mean to be attached to walls. She didn't know exactly how the things worked, but machine stuff tended to blow up if she phased through them. Could always try that if she couldn't figure them out. Heaving the box into her arms, she made her way as quickly as she could back to the large secured doors the Count was waiting behind. ~ * ~ As the Count waited on the other side, the footsteps grew louder. They weren't the rushed, heavy steps that had accompanied the symbiote creatures. They were calm, deliberate paced, and... rather normal sounding.
