The Condor would sense that its territory was being invaded once more and began to move itself into a tighter ball, closing the gap of its wings it looked around for any sign of those who dared on its domain. When it saw only one being, immediate and proud, it looked into her eyes and a wash of emotions would suddenly flood over her, compelling her to point out the location the location of any other threats in the immediate range.
As it stared into her eyes it closed its wings around the central point in front of it's body and kept its gaze focused. It seemed to be trying to learn something, to understand, and tightening up around something of great value.
Another call would ring out through the forest, the beast in a low, almost growling call, warned any others that may have traveled with this lone human to leave it be. To leave this place and it to its peace.

Chōumei Sue Akamichi || Rank :: Konohagakure | Title: Genin | Rank: D || Class :: Performer/ Bukijutsu || Chakra :: 400/400 || Stamina :: 180/180
食 As chōumei made it well past the tree line she'd meet with Yasu-chin to get the details of the mission her, Kirumi, and Kyo made it to a clearing where a massive bird that had a size comparable to giant trees of konoha stood before them. Kirumi kept her self in the rare to hide in the cover of trees just before this clearing and as Chōumei sighted the avian beast she couldn't help but to audibly announce, "Dang aren't you hefty, you could feed my family for a week...if you're lucky." Feeling for a moment he strain of Yasu-chin's mind busy at work Chōumei would place her hand to her temples from the unfamiliar strain of thought and calculation that was a far distance from her intuitive nature. Through the noise and sudden silence her team rang through on there own thoughts and Chōumei called back to reassure them all, " Alright, Tsu-chan I'll try and get you an opening. Kiru-chan don't sweat the small stuff and watch my back I trust ya, and Kyo I think we need to measure the big birds reach and just where its roost en...
Chōumei's mind would cut out to some form of static and the noise would come over as a sound of chirping birds through the link (think chicken sound). In her mind she was holding onto chicks but off apart from the three she was holding was one that was dead. On the outside Chōumei's physical body would seem to move to a narrative based on this hypnosis, causing her to point at the locations around the bird her teammates were hiding. While drawing her sword to thrust into the ground before her audibly after using it as a pointer syncing in time with the territorial scree h of the massive bird. Eyes glazed over, it would look as if Chōumei was sleep walking functioning on a subconscious level. It was a clear statement to leave, and Chōumei's posture resembled that of a knight swearing fieldity.
((OOC:: you guys have to break me out of the hypnosis, but that could be easier for us given our collective skills. ))

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXThe sensor technique dispersed as the bird tightened into a ball. Tsubaki blinked with her regained eye and sucked her teeth distastefully as she watched the bird cautiously. The damned thing wasn't making this easy. She was still covered under the treeline, but then Choumei's mental orders cut out and she was suddenly pointing out their locations in time to the Condor's squawks. "Son of a b***h," she muttered as her leader pointed right at her. Choumei was informing the bird and destroying any element of surprise they had.
Genjutsu. It had to be. And if Tsubaki had learned anything, it was that genjutsu could be overwritten. She fell back in the forest a few yards, though she doubted it would change much if Choumei pointed to her location again. The genin moved around the bushes and small obstacles until she was just behind the captain. She apologized, briefly, and brought her right hand onto Choumei's right shoulder. She activated a genjutsu that would make Choumei believe her clothes were dirty and disgusting. In her head, the clothes would cling in a way that could cause rashes, and her movements might feel stiff from the visual of drying mud everywhere.
It was a little petty, but it could bring Choumei back to her regular self.
While he continued to gather his shadow one of his worst hopes had come true, somehow, in some way, that bird was doing something to affect her. Affect, that was putting it lightly, it was controlling her. Taking a deep breath he coordinated his offensive with Tsubaki's. As she moved to touch her right shoulder, a barrage of twelve seperate thin needle like shadows raced across the ground from Choumei's left directly towards her. Right now they would serve dual purpose. While choumei, hopefully, would check her right shoulder out of instinct the shadows would ensnare her. If she was somehow seeing everything the bird was seeing and vice versa then this would confirm it. Leaping from his perch down to the ground in the clearing directly behind Tsubaki he mentally called to her,"Break choumei's link, and fall back."
Reaching over his shoulder with his right hand Yasu took hold of his long straight edge katana. His other hand quickly came up and pulled on the knotted string causing it to fall open and the scabbard to fall to the ground exposing the blade. Bringing it in front of him in a one handed hold at the low ready he extended the fingers of his left hand and drew in the last digit forming a one handed ram seal his fingers then extended again and formed the ram yet again. The moment he formed it, from the bird and Choumei's right rapidly swept a pitch black wave that was three feet wide and thrice that tall. One way or another he would know the extent of that birds link with her. If she evaded the shadows then it meant their vision was linked. If the bird evaded the wave then it confirmed it.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Kyo was hiding behind a tree, peering around it while listening to Chōumei's strategy. The bird was massive and the female had no qualms about telling the bird that. Just as she told the orders to the allies, Chōumei got to Kyo and cut to white noise, chirping and something akin to clucking. The dark-skinned female began pointing them out, one by one, before drawing her sword out and thrusting it into the ground. Jumping into the trees, Kyo moved closer to Kirumi, holding his wakizashi defensively. "Kiru, I'm close, but we should move." He told her, keeping his eyes on Chōumei. Tsu moved up behind their leader, placing a hand on her shoulder as Yasu made his own move. Taking advantage of Tsu's hand placing on the other female's shoulder, shadows slithered along the ground. He would also pull out his blade and made a wave of shadow fly towards the Condor. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Choumei's plan seemed solid enough. She barked out orders to all of the members of the squad, Kirumi being tasked with watching her back before her thoughts were suddenly shut out. It was like reading a message before the letters and words turned into gibberish. Instead, what came from the dark skinned leader was the sounds of birds chirping, much like a roost of chickens in a farm. Confused, the young Yamanaka watched as she pointed out each of their positions to the bird, causing her to curse to herself. "Somebody break her out of it before she starts fighting us!" She said using the mental link all of them shared. The newcomer to the group spoke to her about changing positions, the female nodding as she hopped to the next branch among the treetops and continued moving until she had moved to the other side of the bird previously. Yasu and his friend seemed to be dealing with their newly hypnotized friend, using another Nara clan technique to chain her where she stood. This relieved the girl somewhat, though still made her uneasy. If this bird knew genjutsu or a variant of it, this could be a very difficult mission indeed.
As Choumei maintained a link with the beast she would see something different now, a man, dressed in rags and carrying a bow. The man shot at 'her', placing an arrow in her breast. Recoiling from the pain she attempted to defend her nest, only to have the man in rags draw closer, smashing an egg as he reached for... Darkness, a sudden wash of shadows.
The connection of the beast was not a visual on both ends, as was told when both Choumei and the Condor were crested upon by the wave of shadows. The beast however, maintained its composure and the shadows that crested onto its body would scatter into the winds, the shadow tendrils scattering back into the forest as it did so. A faint red glow could be seen around the bird as it did this, and the plates of bones upon its forehead and wings only grew larger.
Thrashing its wings out wide it turned to face the being that was behind it, Yasu. Re-positioning itself around a makeshift nest, three eggs contained within, a fourth broken against the stump where the object of import was supposed to be, yet was vacant. It screeched loud as it attempted to find exactly where the boy had gone, but not seeing him in the direct line of sight, it hunkered down once more and called out in the direction of Yasu, knowing, through the brief command it had given the tanned blonde woman, his general (not direct location.)
As the beast turned, the hypnotic link with Choumei would be broken and she would feel a wave of exhaustion crash over her, just as Yasu's shadows had.

Chōumei Sue Akamichi || Rank :: Konohagakure | Title: Genin | Rank: D || Class :: Performer/ Bukijutsu || Chakra :: 400/400 || Stamina :: 180/180
食 being freed from her hypnosis Chōumei would feel the cling of Yasu-chin's shadows and the gross and disgusting cling of "dirty clothes" causing her skin to crawl. She'd visibly shiver as she'd breath deeply quietly trying to regain her resolve after that draining ordeal of the birds hypnotic capture, but something rang true in those visions. Chōumei was a Shintoist and her belief's followed that their was a spirit for every facet of life and nature and the world of the spirits and man were best served by providing balance between the two. This bird wasn't just possessing her for a short while, they were talking, well more like it was talking to her. Seeing the truth behind the imagery of the broken egg and the three that were nestled underneath the mother perch she saw how this creature wanted to express to her their similarities. Once back in possession of her faculties Chōumei would call out to her squad Telepathically. "OSU~! Yasu-chin back off now! Leave the poor woman alone, she just lost her egg to the one who took the damn box! We're too late here, we need to move on, but..." roughly coming to her feet and withdrawing her blade back into it's sheath (as Yasuhiro's shadow might allow if not she'd just struggle to stand).
Trying to call the birds attention back to her Chōumei would yell out."OI~ Big Birdtha, I get ya sistha I really do, the b*****d with the arrows done hurt your babies! But ya done been messing with my head, and ya should know...I can't let ya hurt my friends even if we made a mistake and rustled your feathers a bit! You're a big gurl so get over that mistake, and in exchange how about you show us where those baddies done ran off ta okay Shugah?! Before possibly drawing the birds attention back onto herself; Chōumei would try to explain the circumstances of her hypnosis...well as best as her reckoning could manage to her team. "Alright if the birdy takes me under again don't move in she's just talking to me and I know she's meet with the person who took the box. It's one of those gut feelings guys so I can't feed ya the logic to it just know it's what I'm picking up from the visions she's putting in my head."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXTsubaki sighed with relief as Choumei seemed to return to herself. She clearly reacted to the genjutsu she'd been under. The squad telepathy came in handy once more as her leader filled them in. The box was taken (and so was an egg) so they needed to move on. They had an objective!
Admittedly, Tsubaki's mouth fell open a bit as Choumei started a conversation with the bird as if the whole hypnosis thing hadn't just happened. It made Tsubaki curious as to the exact extents of Choumei's forgiveness, but gods help her she didn't want to cross the line. She listened intently to the next set of orders and nodded in agreement. "Right, right, just uh, share visions with the bird." It sounded ridiculous aloud, the medic realized. Maybe that's why Choumei had used the telepathic link. Well, no matter. She didn't have a better plan and they needed that box. There were going with this plan, it seemed.
As he watched the wave scatter against the bone of the creature, only swelling them in the process, interesting. Well that answered two questions all in one go. First that chakra coming into contact with the beast made its armor stronger, and second that it was not a visual linkage. Though once he had ensnared Choumei and she regained her senses he released her quickly enough so that she could do what she willed. [4/4]
When Choumei ordered him to cease his offense against the bird, and why he should, he felt himself torn inside. On the one hand he had to follow orders, on the other that bird had to die. Taking a seat up against one of the trees he folded his leg and formed a simple pointless seal. This was starting to piss him off. He just wanted to find that damn box, get rid of the poxy bird, go home and get something to eat, and go to sleep. Simple as that. [1/4]
Spiking his chakra up once more illuminating his left arm he twitched another seal out holding it in place while closing his eyes and trusting his team to inform him should the poxy bird go apeshit. Turning his thoughts inwards he continued to think on the subject. He would most definitely follow her orders but he wondered if he could convince her to help him drive off the bird. Otherwise he was going to have to come back and do so alone. [2/4]
Taking a deep breath yasu changed the way his fingers were shaped in the ram seal to that of the dragon seal. While he himself could not use Katon, he had long since thought of ways to allow him to do so without having the ability to change into that nature. With a sharp inhale he forced an amount of chakra into his chest, then as slowly as he exhaled it allowed the chakra to slowly settle. [3/4]
Taking another deep breath he waited until his chakra had fully settled before he was going to move on again to another element. Once everything had settled down and he was serene again he smiled softly. In this moment despite how irritated he was before about the bird, it was out of his control. So he coiled his fingers together into the shape of the ram. From there he forced his chakra to become electrically charged. As he continued to build up static, it became quite evident what he was doing as every few seconds a bolt of lightning raced across his skin. Though once he had created as much as he could he would release the seal and the chakra. [4/4]
Opening his eyes he stretched out his right leg and brought his left up closer to his body as he watched the bird and Choumei intensely. Though, every couple of seconds his eyes drifted to Tsubaki, why they did so was beyond him. But they did it none the less. Without meaning to he even allowed a bit of his concern for her seep into the mental connection. It wasnt that he did not believe she could defend herself it was simply that he was concerned. This bird, if they had to fight it, was more than a match for all of them combined.

Kirumi was relieved to see that Choumei was back to her old and upbeat self after she was relieved on her hypnotic state and brought back to their team. She had some news for the group as well, informing everyone that whoever that was here with the box had came and gotten away with the lives of one of her eggs. Still hiding among the treetops, Kirumi thought to herself while observing as Choumei spoke to the bird, wondering if she could even understand what the squad was telling it. She spoke with the group telepathically once more, this time telling them not to interfere if the bird brought her under its control again. While she was very much against it, assuming that the bird would command Choumei to attack her own squad mates, she silently grit her teeth as the idea behind this. "You better be sure about this, Choumei..."
"Iron is the support to hold up great things. I'll be the support for those greater than me!"
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Following Kirumi, Kyo moved through the trees as Tsu got close and placed her under a Genjutsu. Chōumei was back, and wnet on to inform them the box was missing. She then went on to talk to the large condor. It seemed she wanted to be placed back under the hypnotic trance she ha been it as the bird had been communicating. Tsu seemed on board, if a bit hesitant. Yasu seemed upset and was making a seal that wasn't for forming chakra, that he knew of. Kiru seemed the most tense. She clearly didn't like the plan. Kyo was on the fence himself, ready to attack or defend himself and the temporary squadmates all the same. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The Condor made eye contact with Choumei once more and where they had broken off last time would replay. The man shot her with an arrow, then dashed in to reach for the object among the eggs. She attempted to make eye contact with the man, but as she did a large flash of white light would emanate from the the man. She heard twigs snapping and the sound of branches crumbling, but it was not enough for her to follow, as the light faded from her eyes, the protective beast looked around, seeing where the branches had snapped. It had gone towards the eastern gateway out of the village.
Releasing the hypnosis, the large bird would have a wing extended towards where she gathered the man had run, and where broken branches and mud marked a path.

食 It would seem the bird understood Chōumei right away and as soon as it reset its focus on her she'd continue the vision she was having from before. To the others it would seem like Chōumei's eyes would glaze over and the sound of chirping would return to the mental link, but the vision it's self was singularly an experience Chōumei would receive. Standing proudly with her arms folded undr her bust with a smile on her face Chōumei would shake her head as the hypnosis released her and she'd announce audibly. "OSU! Thanks birdtha! We're gonna hunt'em down for ya so don't worry." If the other's were watching they'd see the bird pointing it's wing towards the eastern gateway. With out much more Chōumei wave goodbye to the creature as she'd run in the direction it pointed her. " By my kami lady amaterasu I'll make sure they get what's coming to em Birdtha you better believe it! Osu!
Finally remembering the mental link Chōumei would sound off with her team. Running at full speed towards the gate and trying to make sure she ket her eyes out for any visible signs of those who'd been through here before. Who ever they were they weren't quite as well trained in the ninja arts it they left broken branches behind, but then again it could of been the rush to escape birdtha's wrath. "We're off to the eastern gate of the village, they took the box there, or at least the one guy who ambushed birdtha with an arrow. So be on the defense for long range attacks and blinding attacks. They blinded her for their escape but I'm not sure if it was a weapon or a jutsu. I'm pretty sure our formation from before should work, but since we're not only focused on the search team I want Yasu-chin playing middle field supporting me for the vangaurd, and and Tsu-chan in the back stealth approach. Kiru-chan and KyoKyo~, you two good on support and counter genjutsu assistance? If so let's pick up the pace folks we're not sure how far they've gotten. Stay off the ground and keep an eye out on mud tracks and any branches broken along the path high and low. Might give us a idea about how many we're dealing with."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXChoumei stood still as she presumably watched a vision sent from the bird. Suddenly, she reanimated and followed the bird's wing; Tsubaki strugged to catch up at her leader's full burst. Eventually, Choumei filled them in and Tsubaki studied her surroundings for mud and broken sticks. She fell towards the back as instructed. A part of her wanted to ask for more details about the vision, but something about it felt intimate. She also wanted to ask if Yasu wanted to keep it as a pet or something, even though the Nara didn't have any of the makings of a tamer. Instead of both of these, Tsubaki simply spoke through the telepathic bond. "Are we really calling that thing Birtha?"
