x████████x x████████x Bela looked at Keith oddly, because she knew he knew, she didn't smoke. Of course not! It would make her lungs weak, and then she wouldn't be able to go long dancing without letting out some coughs and taking a lot of moments to catch her breath. And if that wasn't bad enough, she'd end up talking like Doctor Girlfriend; not that she even knew who the hell that was.
"No, but I know Walter carries some with him. You think I can charm him into giving me one for you?" Bela asked with a mischievous smile, falling right back into their little alliances. Of course, it was going to be harmless... this time, anyway. Bela, however, didn't take Keith's deep dislike of Walter at the time into account. And she wasn't stealing from Alice, in any case. She had just managed to recover that friendship, and was in no hurry to go and screw it up again! No matter how much Keith would ask her, she wouldn't steal from Alice. x████████xBELA JAMES x████████x THE MISGUIDED HEART

Walter was nursing a cup of tea he had brought in, in one of those coffee warmer cups. When Bela and Keith came in he looked sympathetically to the two. Walter was watching Keith with his violet gaze and when he asked Bela for some cigarette's it gave the Brit an idea.
Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a almost full pack of cigs, took two out and offered them to Keith. "How have you been ol chap?" Walter asked with a light smile. "And you wont have to charm me tonight Ma'am, not for that anyways. The poor bloke has been through enough." Walter added as he looked to Bela. ______
Pip came out of the Grindhouses's bathroom still fiddling with his braid that wasnt cooperating today. He had done a french braid on himself how many times since he was like 5? "Walter. Eets not cooperating." Pip whined lightly as he came behind the counter and up to Walter. "Fix eet. S'il vous plaît?" Pip said as he turned his back to Walter. His eyes went to Bela and Keith though. "Bonjour Mademoiselle and Monsieur." Tonight was a slow night and just getting started to boot.

Keith stared at Bela for a moment, then Walter, and finally Pip. A whole minute of silence with him just staring at all three of them... before he burst out laughing and laughing and laughing. His left hands went to where his wound was, the laughters making it hurt as his right hand went to his forehead, passing through his hair as he laugh. "Haha.. Haha.. ********... you're all so .... pathetic....hahahaha" Was there a better way to describe the situation? The cold hearted b***h acting like a mother, one of the guy he hate the most just offering him his cigarettes and the big tall bulky mercenary complaining about having a bad hair day."And you called me gay when Frenchy here is complaining about his hair...." He took one of Walter's cigarette and lit it up, taking a drag out of it. "Meh, I shouldn't be talking. I'm ******** worst than the three of you combined." It was true. No one was as pathetic as him. Everything he had blindly done for Conor. That was ought to be the joke of the century. He looked back at Bela, half grin still on his face. "Thanks.... Walter..." Yeah, probbaly one of the first time in his life, he was thanking someone other than Conor. Not that he hated Walter anymore... well, not as much as before. He coudln't care less now if he had attacked Conor or not. Nope, didn't care anymore... Okay, maybe a little, but he didn't want to think about.

x████████x x████████x "You are such an ungrateful f**, Ginger." Bela scoffed, when he actually called all three of them pathetic. "Thanks, Walt." she thanked Walter too, instead of ruining everybody's day by turning into a major utter b***h so early into the day. She looked around for a sec, looking for the other bartender. The one with more meat on his bones. "Hey, where's Matt?" Bela asked Walter, but it could have been toward Pip, too.
He must be coming in later, or something. "Ugh, whatever." Bela said after a beat, not bothering to wait for an answer. "Walter, give me the usual." Bela said, though that didn't really help any; she never drank anything too many times to consider it a usual. If Walter was smart, he'd get that she was just asking for a random drink.
Bela jumped up to sit on the bar top, crossing her legs one over the other; like she usually did. It was her favorite spot! Placing her heeled feet onto one of the stool seats. "And now that I think of it, where's Alice?" she asked, this time directed at Pip. Tilting her head to the side as she asked, leaning back onto her hands, which she placed at the edge of the bar right behind her. x████████xBELA JAMES x████████x THE MISGUIDED HEART

"Dont be so hard on yourself ol boy." Walter said before he left the other cigarette there on the counter for Keith.
"Drink coming up Ma'am." Walter said as he made Bela a Midori sour. He served it up to the girl before answering her.
"Matthew i believed said he would be a little late this evening." Walter added before he turned to Pip. "Well you sorry Git i cant braid your hair if you dont hand me the comb. And take off the damned eye patch you know that has to go on last, blimey fool." Walter shook his head at Pip.
"Oui, Walter is right." Pip said to Keith before he unhooked his eye patch and set it on the counter. Now the Frenchmans damaged eye was revealed. A nice vertical slice throw his eye, leaving him blind. "And 'ey i 'ave to care about t'is blonde mess. Eets grown out since i was a baby." Pip said to Keith. "She 'asnt come down yet. Eets still early." Pip answered Bela.
Walter then started brushing Pips long hair out. "All but the bangs you mean." Walter added as he set the brush down and began the long process of a French braid in the man's hair. Luckily Pip and Walter were near the same height, and around the same build.. alright Pip may have been more muscular but honestly the two where just tall lean males. But thankfully this made it easier on both males.. so one didnt have to sit while the other did his hair. Okay yeah Keith was right it sounded gay. But hey! they looked good!

"I'm an ungrateful f**, you're a cold hearted b***h. We go so well together, don't you think?" He replied to Bela, before taking a drag out of his cigarette. He wanted some alcohol but... he still didn't trusted Walter enough to pull it out. One simple little mistake and his drink would have been ruined. He could wait for the sexier bartender to come back. It was strange for Matthew to be late. It wasn't like him. He never was late... or sick. He was a complete and total workaholic... or at least that was the impression he gave Keith.
"So, seriously, what the ******** is the deal with you two? Have you ******** her yet?" He asked the frenchman, in referecne to their boss. Someone would have had to be blind and death to not realized that Pip was majorly crushing on her. It was almost pathetic... how many time had he said and/or thought the word Pathetic in the last two days? This was getting repetitive.
He scratched the side of his face, feeling an inch due to the makeup he had placed to hide his black eye. Yeah, he had told Bela he wouldn't use it but damn, he changed his mind. He was officially borderline now! He had the right to change his mind! Unfortunately, scratching there removed half the makeup, revealing the state of his eye... which he really just wanted to hide if Clark did come in like he said he would. Or Avien. yeah. That woudl just be awkward and he could do without awkward for now.

x████████x x████████x Bela chuckled, seeing that Keith didn't have anything else on her. Ice b***h, that's what he always called her. By now, she wasn't even bothered by his little comment. But, to keep up their little banter, she went along with it. "I may be a cold whore, but I'm nothing close to a b***h. Or do you see me eating out of a dog bowl and sporting a tail?" Bela smirked, feeling like a smart a**, for once. Really, Keith always beat her at these little games, but at least she could put up a damn good fight. Of course, she had been on all fours before, and even licked more than just a guy's face. But really, so hadn't he?
And then came his question about Alice and Pip, and even she craned her head to look at Pip, then. Oh, Keith. Your not so subtle tact was such a treat! Bela would have at least tried to be sneaky. But, Keith, oh no! He just whipped that right out there. Since Bela was looking at Pip, instead of Keith, she didn't notice him peeling off the make-up. Of course she would have frowned and offered him some make-up to hide that ugly bruise.

"All done ol boy." Walter said, he worked quick like usual. He tied off the end of the braid and patted Pip on the back to let him know he was done. The dark haired male went to doing idle cleaning work, though he listened to the trio and kept his eyes on them. _
Pip frowned at the mention of Alice and what was between them. He shook his head and turned towards the two, his injured eye clearly visible now. Grabbing his eye patch from the counter he slipped it through the upper part of the braid and around his head before he secured it and readjusted it to sit over his eye.
"Not really anyt'ing at t'e moment." Pip said honestly as he took out a cigarette of his own. He focused on lighting it and taking a long drag. "And no i 'avent. Eet seems we want different t'ings. But i'm too much of a fool to give up yet." Pip smiled sadly as he met Keith's gaze. "She doesnt believe in love. For a Frenchman like me, a 'opeless romantic. Eets 'ard to believe." Pip said as he took another drag on the cigarette.
"But maybe if you did sleep with her it would help you get over the crush dear boy." Walter added gently.
"Oui... " Pip seemed to frown at that statement though. "Not'ing new t'ere. I fall for a girl.. she only wants sex. We make love.. and t'en never calls me again. I am so sick of t'at eets not even funny. C'est la vie.. no?" Pip said as he looked to Bela and Keith.

Keith smirked back at Bela. "Bela, you just described exactly how I see you every day." He told her with the cockiest attitude he could get, his grin never leaving his face. Ah, that was good sport. Always put him in a good mood. "Love?" Keith repeated with a raised of his eyebrows. He glanced over toward Bela at that moment. Did she believed in it? Did he believed in it. No, not really. Not anymore, anyway. Children fantasies, that's what it was and for a certain reason, he had a feeling that was how most strippers around the world would feel. If Love did existed, he doubted it would ever be anything more than one sided. Someone was always using the other more... Sometime ever more than you would have believed in the first place. He simply said before taking an other drag of his cigarette. He raised his eyes, meeting Walter's. "Can I trust you not to ******** up my drink?" He needed some alcohol right about now. He had went over 24hrs without any. He was getting into withdrawal... That, or he wanted to make sure some memories died before they bothered him more than they were starting to bother him.

x████████x x████████x For some reason, once love came into the equation, Bela (psychologically) recoiled in disgust. What was up with these people and LOVE? Bela had even glanced back at Keith, mirroring the same skeptical look on her face. That was it, right there. A connection, of some sort. Something they actually agreed and both understood quite well. On the other hand, Keith was betrayed... but Bela, she had gone down the road of self-destruction. She started acting out as a way to get attention when she was younger, but it wasn't just that... nothing ever was just what it seemed with Bela. There was always a secret or two, hidden right up her sleeve. The only one who actually knew where she hid all her aces was Alice, and sometimes even she was fogged by Bela's smoke and mirrors.
Bela had noted Pip's wounded eye, but she was actually not that visually affected. Her coolness to his affected eye and the subject of love altogether, was just very disturbing. Her silence saying everything, cynicism shining through. If only he knew how much he really affected Alice; he'd be surprised. Her blue eyes were unintentionally cold as she looked at Pip, but all this had went through her head in a matter of moments, and in another she was looking at the entrance door, instead.
Had the blow out at New Year's left people so drained that they didn't want to come back? Hmm, in any case, she had dolled herself up just the same. Patrons, no patrons... Xeiro, no Xeiro... she could very well just sit here and continue giving them the silent treatment. Bela didn't mind.
Using her drink as an excuse not to talk, she looked at the stage. Her eyes seemed distant and nostalgic, as she regarded the night that played out no less than a week or so ago. x████████xBELA JAMES x████████x THE MISGUIDED HEART

Pip had watched both of Bela and Keith's reactions to his little speech. It just made his heart sink more over the whole issue. Maybe it was just a stupid notion, and maybe it was really lust he felt and no love. But he had loved his boys like a family. Did no one here believe in love of any kind? No.. not these two.. of course not. "Oui.. eets a stupid concept.." Pip said with a frown as his gaze dropped. ___
Walter bit his lip in order not to retort to all that. Who where they to smash Pip's heart into the ground? But he held his tongue, he had seen the Frenchman go through this before. A bit of heartbreak now and then wouldn't kill someone...
Setting his sights on Keith, Walter nodded. "Tell me how and i wont ******** it up." Walter said with a smile of confidence. Hey he wasn't just a flashy bartender. He served up drinks fast and accurately. All he needed was the recipe to the drink and how exactly Keith liked it.

"Yes, it is stupid... possible to love someone, but being loved back? I won't believe in that. Relationships are just someone liking to give more than he should and someone taking twice as much." Cynical, much? Yes, but could you blame him right now? He probably wouldn't have been half as hurt if Conor hadn't make him believe he was feeling the same for him. Would he have come up straight to him and tell him he didn't really care about Keith and was just using him, Keith woudl have probably continues like that forever, accepting that he like Conor more than the boy liked him. But, lying to him about being friends and caring? Thinking that Keith was just.. disposable? Yeah, he had the right to be cynical.
Bloody Ceasar… Like a Mary, but with Clamato. Highball glass. Extra Spicy, three times. Lemon Pepper instead of Celery Salt. Four dash of Worcester. One spoon of horseradish. One Once of lime Juice. With spicy bean and celery stalk. Add Pickle if you have any. And I repeat, lime, not lemon." He stated, repeating word by word the same order he gave every time he went to a new bar... either that, or someone had just copied and pasted his order from Page 3.

x████████x x████████x Keith was being way too harsh, but he really did have a right to be ******** pissed. However, Bela took the opposite tactic. "Pip..." Bela said gently, oh so very gently. "I understand. I understand exactly where your coming from." Bela spoke with such fragility, it was shocking. It was a mind trick, of sorts. By speaking with such tender care, it would either give him some comfort and harden him, or it could just as well hit him harder than anything Keith had just said. Her tender words belied the intention of her words. Was she trying to help him? Or hurt him?
"I know what you think of us," Bela started, turning a little toward him, locking him in place with her baby blues. "You think we're cold and heartless. That we use people. That we're so broken that we can't even comprehend love. Or maybe, your possibly thinking our lives have been so screwed up that whatever concept of it has been beaten out of us. And you pity us." Bela never broke her soft tone, even though Keith could very well feel insulted by what she just said.
"But, try to look at it from our side." Bela leaned back from him, which meant to the side, for her. "All we see, is a man who builds his hopes up and then sees them come crashing down around him. Every time acting surprised at how easily people can use and destroy him." Bela went on to say, her words would be insulting if she didn't sound so sweet. "Fact of the matter is, we pity you, too. Maybe even more." Bela confessed, dealing the final blow.
"So, don't you dare pity us for growing some balls and facing things head on. We don't want your pity or your sympathy, and Alice doesn't either." Closing on that note, she turned her back to him, expecting a wave of insults or, conversely, that he play the mind rape back on her. Keith should be proud, she had thoroughly just told Pip to man up and accept that the world sucked and he better know that looking at the world through rose tinted glasses, yeah, that was gonna get him nowhere. x████████xBELA JAMES x████████x THE MISGUIDED HEART

Pip met Bela's gaze only to be stunned by what she said. But in a way she was right. He shouldnt be surprised by another woman turning him down. And in a way he did pity them but not to the point she was making it seem like. In a way though he had nothing to say to that. She was right, he was a fool. _
"Thats a bit harsh Ma'am. Truth or not in such a statement." Walter said gently. He got to making Keith's drink exactly as he described it. A Bloody Ceasar, with clamato, in a highball glass, extra spicy times three. Lemon pepper, four dashes of worchester. One spoon of horseradish and one ounce of lime juice. A spicy bean and celery stalk, and he did manage to find a pickle to add to it.
"There you are ol boy." Walter said with a light smile to Keith as he set the drink down infront of him. Of course he expected the male to find something wrong with the drink and b***h him out. With how they were being towards Pip this night, Walter wouldnt put anything past the two. But he really didnt want an argument this evening. Working with Bela and Keith was draining. And tonight Walter didnt care to bicker. __
"T'en what do you suggest i do Mademoiselle Bela?" Pip said after a long silence. He knew what she would say. Forget about Alice, or just ******** her and leave her. And maybe he should. But it really did hurt him that the people he worked with.. Walter and Matthew aside.. wouldnt, couldnt believe in love. Had the no one to trust? To lean on in times of need? No one to share thoughts with or ideas? No one to have your back when things got bad? They were right he did pity them. Because when they got older.. gray and brittle boned. They would have no one but themselves... living alone, no one to visit them because they never let anyone close.
But was it really his place to say otherwise for them? If thats what they wanted then so be it. Pip would take his rose tinted world and die happy with the delusion. He knew the world was harsh, they didnt need to tell him. Not after loosing his boys. Everything had gone downhill from there.

Keith looked at Bela while she made her little speech. So true, so very true. He looked at her in the eyes, telling her silently he understood and approved everything she had just said. He wouldn't say it out loud, however. He still had a bit of pride left.. somewhere. He looked back at Pip for a second before shaking his head. It wasn't really pity but.. it wasn't far form it either. Maybe... just maybe it would be better for Pip to keep believing in those fairy tales. Ignorance is bliss... Let the poor fool believe in it until it blows in his face.
He decided not to bother with that conversation anymore, and turned his attention towards his newly made drink. He took a sip, Not expecting anything really... It had too much horseradish.... Not enough worsheshter... lacking a bit in tabasco too... Still, could have been worst. Passable...." He simply told him before taking yet an other sip. "This place is dead... who killed all the costumer?"
