During Kedrick's silence, Arielle was able to finish her breakfast and her drink. She stood up and walked over to the sink, rinsing out her dishes and cleaning them off. Had she made everything more awkward just by stating that? Sure, it was somewhat true, but she didn't really feel like that towards Kedrick. She felt like something more to him. She looked back at him just as he managed to snap back to reality. She listened to his idea and nodded and gave him a small smile. "That sounds like a good idea. I think I could go for a Disney movie today, how about you?"

Kedrick turned, grinning at her like a cheshire cat. "you read my mind." he said, putting a hand on her back. "come on," he said excitedly "I'll show you the den." Kedrick lead Arielle into a side room branching off of one of the many hallways. The den was smaller than most of the grand and glitzy rooms of the house, it had a t.v , an end table, and and comfortable leather couch for two. but there was one other thing. The bookshelf. it went from floor to ceiling, it had ten shelf's and each one was almost five feet across. The top five shelf's where filled with all the books that where frequently read, or that simply couldn't fit in the library upstairs. the next two down housed boardgames and card games of and size shape or color. but the bottom three shelf's where reserved for, as kedrick said, an archive of movie. The shelf had everything from Dracula and the titanic, to every Disney/pixar/dreamworks film ever release. "what do you think?" he asked, "you pick."

"That must mean I'm magical now," Arielle said with a light giggle as she followed Kedrick, or more realistically, being pushed by Kedrick lightly. When they reached the den, she noticed how much cozier it looked than the rest of the house. Amidst the beauty and splendor of the rest of the house, the den was the only area that seemed to be more natural in her mind. She stared at the large bookshelf, her eyes widening in surprise. She looked at each shelf until she reached the movies. Her eyes quickly scanned until she found a movie that she wanted to watch and pulled it out. "Lion King?"

"Lion king?" he asked as though to confirm it, his face spread into a smile, "great, one of my favorites." he commented mild as he took the DVD from her and put it in the player. He gestured to the leather couch facing the TV. "have a seat, I'll get popcorn. " he said, then added with a smile. "pause it for me if I'm not back in time." Kedrick walked out of the den and into the large, open room in the front of the house. He circled quickly out of it and into the kitchen, rooms like that made Kedrick feel small, insignificant or inadequate, one or the other. He put two bags of popcorn into the microwave, closing the door, he watched as the two bags inflated like papery brown balloons. when the timer beeped he pulled out the two bags, he winced slightly when the hot bag came in contact with his skin. Quickly as he could, Kedrick dumped the two bags into a crystal looking punch bowl. so it wasn't what the fancy bowl was meant to hold, it didn't really matter to kedrick. He carried the bowl back into the den, "popcorn." he said, handing it to Arielle. Kedrick had made it just in time, the screen had just faded the the blackness before the movie started. Kedrick flipped off the lights and eased himself into the seat next to Arielle. for a moment before the movie started, everything was pitch black, Kedrick could feel the leather seat under him, and could hear Arielle's soft breathing in the seat next to him. Then the movie started and filled the room with it's flickering bluish light. He smiled and glanced over at Arielle.

"I believe that's almost everyone's favorite," Arielle said with a light laugh as she walked over to the couch and sat down. She nodded to Kedrick and decided to let the previews and trailers play instead of skipping them, especially since she had to wait for him. It was so entertaining watching things like that from years ago and could only imagine the difference if she was watching a VHS of the movie. Once all of it was over and the movie reached the title menu, Arielle was slightly hesitant to press play, but she knew that she would have to pause it got too far.
She turned her head when she saw Kedrick enter and smiled. "Well, you are definitely right on time." She turned back to the screen and she felt her stomach growl lightly when she smelt the popcorn. She took a handful of popcorn and looked back at Kedrick. She was going to thank him, but she noticed him smiling and looking at her. Her cheeks grew warm and she smiled nervously. She couldn't bring herself to speak as she began to eat the popcorn in her hand and returned to paying attention to the movie.

Kedrick drew in a sharp breath when she caught his eye. He dropped his gaze quickly. that's how it always seemed to be, he would look, she would catch him, and both would look away, embarrassed. Kedrick turned his eyes to the screen rather than Arielle, allowing himself to get wrapped up in the movie. Absently he reached over to the bowl of popcorn in Arielle's lap, taking a handful and eating it. He couldn't imagine a place he would be more happy, it seemed so novel, so picturesque. It was like something you'd see in a magazine, a movie, or even an anime. Just the two of them, in the relative darkness, watching a movie they both enjoyed. the only thing that seemed to be missing was an arm around her shoulder or a hand hold. Kedrick's drifted back over to her, he wondered if she would mind.

Arielle had missed watching Disney movies, especially since she hadn't watched them in such a long time. The Lion King was definitely one of her childhood favorites, especially since when she was younger, she could sing almost every song in the movie. The opening sequence of the movie was always just fantastic. As she continued to eat her popcorn, she laid her head gently on Kedrick's shoulder and sighed happily, feeling quite comfortable from where she was at.

Kedrick blinked in surprise, turning slightly to look at Arielle's hand. His cheeks tinged a light pink color, almost invisible in the darkness, but he quickly banished the feelings of embarrassment and smile. He reached up, lying his hand on top of hers with a small smile. He tipped his head back slightly, leaning it against the back of the couch, watching the movie with half closed eyes.
It seemed altogether to short a time before the movie ended. Yet it did, and before he could really realize it the credits where rolling and the popcorn bowl was empty. Kedrick turned to her with a smile. "that was fun, I'm glad you picked the lion king, I had forgotten how much I liked it."

Even though Arielle's cheeks were slightly warm from feeling Kedrick's hand on hers, it was still a good feeling. She just continued to sit there, head laying on Kedrick's shoulder, her hand covered by his, and a smile on her face as she ate more popcorn and watched the movie.
"I never realized how much you can miss a movie," Arielle said with a grin as she sat her head back up and looked at him with a smile, "I'm glad I picked it as well. I could go for another movie, but I do need to get dressed and ready for dinner and stuff. Don't want to start late."

"mh-hmmm." Kedrick agreed, standing up and stretching his arms over his head with a sigh, allowing his muscles to relax. "Question is..." he said, allowing his arms to drop back down to his sides. "what to make for dinner...." He frowned slightly, pondering this question. Kedrick though back to the almost two years that Dimitri had stayed with him in the mansion, trying to dig up the old memory of some of his favorite meals. He closed his eyes, thinking back.
"what are you making?" Dimitri asked walking into the kitchen. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and leaned over Kedrick's shoulder to stair into the pot. "looks like mud...." he said distastefully. Kedrick scowled playfully. "It's not mud you lint-head." he said with a grin, he shoved him back with the palm of his hand, then with a large-mouth spoon, scooped up some of the concoction. "it's beef stew." he said, and, ignoring Dimitri's protest, shoved the spoon into his mouth. Dimitri swallowed, taking the empty spoon out and handing it back to Kedrick. "okay, so it doesn't exactly taste like mud." he said, to proud to admit he had like it. Kedrick raised an eyebrow. "well, that's good, I planed on feeding it to the stray cat that comes around every so often." "WHAT!?!" Dimitri cried in dismay. "YOU'RE GOING TO FEED IT TO A CAT!?!" Kedrick smirk. "so you do like it." he said with a sneaky grin "go on and sit down, I'll serve it up."
Kedrick opened his eyes, glancing at Arielle. "hey...you wouldn't happen to know how to make a beef stew would you?"

Arielle shrugged her shoulders, trying to think about what she could cook. Then she realized she had no idea what Dimitri liked or what his preference was in the kind of food he ate. Before she could even begin to panic, Kedrick had returned to reality and asked her if she knew how to make beef stew. She thought about it, a light frown appearing and shook her head. "I've never made that before. Do you know how?"

Kedrick rubbed his chin. "I did....two years ago....." He said with a frown. "I'm sure I still have the recipe around somewhere...if I had that we could probably figure out how to do it...but...I moved a lot of my old recipe up to the attic, it may be up there." he said pacing in a circle for a moment, trying to remember. He glanced side-long at the clock that sat on the bookshelf, he hadn't realized how late it was already, since they had eaten so much popcorn nether of them seemed very hungry. He looked at her, his frown of puzzlement fading to a childish smile. "come on, Let's go find it!" he said, taking her hand and pulling her down the hallway. When Kedrick got in a childish mood like this, there was no deterring him from his goal, and his goal at the moment, was the attic. He stopped short in front of a door at the very end of the hallway. He released her hand and pulled open the door. Behind it lay a steep, dark staircase. It looked dark and foreboding but then Kedrick turned on the lights and the eeriness faded away to revile just a plain, shabby looking staircase. He gripped the handrail, "it's up here somewhere." he said glancing back down at Arielle.

Arielle nodded and followed after Kedrick, giggling happily. He seemed so happy at the moment. Was it the fact that there were going to have a treasure hunt to find the recipe. To be honest, it made her feel very excited for some strange reason. She was honestly a big kid. Once they reached the attic, she looked at it in surprise and smiled. "Seems like we have a big fondness for attics, don't you think?" She laughed and followed behind Kedrick, ready to help him find what he was looking for.

Kedrick nodded his head in agreement without a second thought. "mh-hhm. I love attics." he said as they began the steep ascent up the stairs. "I used to love looking around in my own attic even though I already knew where and what everything was. But I've only been in my grandfathers attic one or twice and nether time was to explore." He turned his attention back to the stairs so as not to catch his toe on a step and fall. "here we go." he breathed softly, looking around the attic room. It had a shabby looking wood floor and a slanted ceiling. On the west wall was a small hexagonal window. But it was what was inside the room that gave it it's aura of splendor. old sea trunks, boxes and crates where stacked high, Little rabbit trails lead between the mountains of cargo. Arielle could see racks of dresses and other clothing scattered here and there. " Kedrick grinned. "looks like we've got our work cut out for us. Well, no place to start like the beginning. Lets get looking."

"That's the same for me," Arielle said with a grin, "My cousins and I always played hide and seek there or did some dress up with some of the old clothes. Still, I can't believe I didn't notice the wedding dress until I looked at my parents wedding pictures." She felt herself smile at the memory of the dress, almost like she could feel the garment against her skin, "I still can't believe I'll be wearing that dress when I get married."
She took in the view of Kedrick's grandfather's attic and gasped in awe. It was so much more amazing then her grandparents. She honestly couldn't wait to inspect it and have her own little adventure there. "Wow... This might take us some time, but I know we'll find it. Should we split up."
