He put his hand underher chin "Candice, your a beautiful girl. You can always find someone else if i dont make it out of here. Plus even if i'm not with you physically i'll always be with you." He kissed her again then put puth his arms around her again.

She kisses him back softly. "My mother must think I'm stupid for falling in love. She's always encouraged me to stay single because love leads to kids, and it's dangerous for children in the districts." Candi says and sighs, she repeated her mothers words word for word.

She let's herself giggle even though she was scared for Hakeem. "We'ev got to find a way." She whispers and stares into his eyes.

He kissed her back and noded. He layed down streching out, but leaving enough spacefor her to lay down, and move around. He shut his eyes and went into a light sleep.

Hakeem begings to have the dream he's had every time he sleept since he met district 3. He dreams of killing district 3, and saving canice. They both make it out alive, and (basically what happens in the 2nd and 3rd book to make it more clear) save all of panem from these "games".

After a while Candi covers him with a sleeping back and smiles. He looks so peaceful in his sleep. Her thoughts drift off to her three brothers and she sighs. She missed them terribly. She closes her eyes and sees the two thirteen year old that look exactly like her, she also sees a baby with his mothers jet black hair and deep blue eyes. This made tears fall down her face.

Hakeem just happened to wake up do to the pain from his wounds at the time she was crying. "Is something wrong" He said as he crawled next to her.

She shakes her head as she remembers the day she was chosen. Her mom hysterical when they got to say their final goodbyes. She begins to rock back and forth.
