This was a tricky question and I apologize for not clarifying it well enough. What I was asking for was how many Elnoyle cards would you need to refine in order to have enough Energy Crystals to complete all the uses they have, not counting Ammo Refining and Spell Refining.
As far as I know, you need:
2 Energy Crystals - Lionheart
4 Energy Crystals - Save the Queen
2 Energy Crystals - Shooting Star
1 Energy Crystals - Quistis's Blue Magic "Shockwave Pulsar"
12 Energy Crystals - To teach SumMag-30% to each GF that does physical damage.
Altogether, that adds up to 21 Energy Crystals. Since you need 10 Elnoyle cards to refine into 1 Energy Crystal, then you'd need 210 Elnoyle Cards.
Whew sweatdrop ... lets try something easier.

if its the attack that drags you down to 1HP its called "Sai" if i remember rightly, i haven't fought thm in a while though
