*And so he continues piping...and now he doesn't hold back...he pours his heart and Ai's into the song...the pangs of separation...the grief of loss...the puzzle with its missing piece...the children who watch for mommy to wake...not knowing that she might never be there...the love of a family, when joined as one...the grief they feel when one has left...the desire of two who love one another, to be together, in each others arms...the all-covering sadness of two whose hearts and souls are bound together by true love, when they are forced apart by another...borne aloft by his emotions and his music, enhanced by the passions of his fiery magic, and granted strength by the willpower that commands the Void itself, these images pierce into Paradisio's core...and as Kero promised, Alice's pool of tears has found a twin*

Again he feels that amused annoyance flicker across the surface of his thoughts, only the amusement has a sharper edge to it, somewhat bitter and sharp... the amusement of one who could easily be pushed in the other direction.

He sees Bez hunched over a long thin emancipated body, that is sporting a wild mop of russet red hair. He doesn't see Tam face, but a hint of movement shows him that the bard is very much alive.

*Kero smiles, and puts away his pipe...after trilling a nice long hymn in thanks...and to dry up the tears of the angels...though he leaves the new beach...might be fun...and flies down to see the two angels whom he has come to love*

He lands outside the cavern and prepares himself to enter. Inside he hears Bez's voice clearly, but Tam's is muted and too soft to make out clearly. Bez is openly weeping, while the other voice seems to be consoling. Across the clearing he hears the sounds of the children returning. Passura's laughter intermingled with the unfamiliar voices of two adolescent girls. Emnast's voice brings up the rear.
"I still don't understand why we have to wear clothes. We never did before." grumbles one of the feminine voices.
"Mara... I won't take no for an answer. You WILL wear clothing and that is that." grumbles Emnast testily.
"Oh... I don't know... they both looked pretty fine to me..." says Passura with a chuckle.
There is the sound of a solid hand smack and Kero finds himself wincing in response.
"Keep your thoughts to yerself." demands the other girl.
"Sheesh, Ari... did ye have to smack me so hard?" grumbles Passura with a moan.
Before Kero can move the four enter the clearing. Passura leading the way, rubbing his cheek, followed by two long legged adolescents, demurely wrapped in a pair of sheets. Emnast brings up the rear and his face is a study of confusion, fear, and embarrassment.

Emnast looks up and seeing him, hurries forward. "Luceil, where have you been... the girls... one minute they were cubs... the next... what's going on... Ai hasn't... has he?"

Yes....Talesian has returned...and why are these young ladies adolescents? Shouldn't they still be children? My studies all indicate that when a baby shapeshifter follows it's parent, it takes the age of its mind, not its body.
