Remus watched from the shadows of the alley. Behind him, Farskon was sitting in between the two guards. The Imperator desperately wanted to help Emma and Scribbler, but he knew that he was in no condition to do so. He also knew that he would be the last line of defense in getting the paladin out of harm's way if the Enchantress and Scribbler failed.

The Paladin could hear the thoughts of the god almost brush him. He was annoyed, despite already being occupied with pain. Farskon never really had any respect for any deity and was tempted to respond mockingly to Orin.
The Paladin instead reached out and gave a small red vial to Remus. Offering it to him [[Item: Hypertonic, restores 15 health at any time, can only be used outside of battle.]]
[[You're full health already so don't use it now]]

[[Enemy Health left: 106]]
One Conjured warrior fell, and then another from a police officer firing a less crude version of the conjured warrior's weapons. There were two left untouched who charged in with their rapiers.

[...ow.] "Hm." The rapier sought to punch holes through the paene, and while she could manage to leap back, a flurry on the part of her assailant dragged her back to earth. Gashes appeared through her jacket, her arm, and she clutched at her gut, bleeding heavily. "D-damn!"

((Editing...wow, pathetic.))
Caught between trying to appease Odin and defend against her attackers, Emma failed at both and caught herself a rapier in the leg and in the stomach, and she fell, bleeding, delirious from mental and physical pain alike.

"I...refuse...to end here!" A whirlwind of ink slammed into the remaining warriors with a soul-energy imbued fury. Another smaller one would be summoned to pick up the enchantress (after her spell), and under cover of further ink blasts, shuttle her to Remus...if she needed it.
[d'aww, so close. at 18/100 if it's cumulative, from last round.]

Emma's last act before fainting from blood loss was to throw a last sphere of flame at the conjured warrior, but she blacked out before she could see if she hit the damned thing or not.

Remus accepted the vial from Farskon and turned to watch the battle. He resisted the urge to run out and help them. The Imperator grabbed Farskon by the arm and pulled him to his feet.
"Come on! We need to get you to safety." the Imperator said gruffly. He quickly walked through the alley, with Farskon in his grip. The two guards trotted obediently behind.
"Scribbler, Emma...don't die on me." the Imperator thought, unsure if they would get it or not.

The conjured warrior stumbled back in pain fading to ash, but it was not going to die just yet. It fire from the hand crossbow once more, straight at Scribblers face.

((s**t's really hitting the fan now.)) Remus came out of the alley onto a different street. He pulled the hood of Emma's cloak over Farskon's head to better disguise him. Remus felt a faint twinge in his mind as Emma and Scribbler fell. Remus knew that the Imperial fleet couldn't reach him in this other world. So he gave out a distress call of a different sort.
"Hrothbert? Hrothbert!! Are you there?" Remus thought as he quickly walked through the streets of Nodnol.

A very harried voice responded to Remus.
I'm trying!
RIGHT. Enough of this, sorcerer.
A howling wind swept around Remus, Scribbler, Farkson and Emma. The sounds of battle could be heard in the air, and the scent of blood was heavy. There was a hunter's horn in the distance, and the cawing of ravens. And...hoofbeats?
An elderly, heavyset man riding an eight-legged horse rode down from the sky, snatching all four up in an instant.
The wind howled, and Odin and the bent and broken four were gone, back to the Black Forest.
