Sarah smiled and nodded, "It's Sarah. Sarah Lacre. Forgive me, I usually am not this late in introducing myself. I figured you already knew my name from our previous meeting." she replied, sitting back and running her fingers through her hair. Did she really not introduce herself? She supposed she had been so caught up in anger that it slipped her mind yet that was no excuse. Why had she thought he would know her name to begin with? Though he had been sent out to kill her client, she herself hadn't suppose to be there when it happened. She felt guilty that she had forgotten, something like curtsy was not something to be forgotten.
She shook her head now, "It is painful, I will admit." she now said, feeling she should not just abruptly stop what needed to be said. "Veronica and I grew up together. We had joined the Academy the same time and were promoted not far from one another." she explained further, smiling at the memory. The two had been hard to get apart, of course it changed once they were promoted. They no longer went out and enjoyed themselves, Veronica had been moved to another station all together. "I was hurt to hear of her passing, she had been like a sister to me." she added softly, looking down to her plate. "But I had the last thing she said to me, I intended to investigate into the matter and found only small leads that soon dead ended. The council cleaned up perfectly behind them however I had gathered enough proof to exposed them but that's when I had been called to protect my client." she looked up to him.

Stardust Drifter " Well if she is dead, then hopefully I won't have a bloody wailing ghost nagging me constantly! Heh, though I thank you Warlock." he replied with a nod. The carriage rocked a little when it crossed some pot holes. Apparently it must have stumbled upon a road that hadn't been used in ages. Looking down at Roxanne's large belly then back at her Brillux shook his head. " I hope for your sake that you can find a cure for that thing inside of you. I doubt that's how you want to obtain yer demons...I don't think your belly could stretch that far.." he said in a serious, dark tone. "I couldn't agree more..." Roxanne returned, a hand gently rubbing her over distended belly. "If I had to go through this to obtain my demons, I would have chosen a different profession..."

No way! This woman was the ' Little Sister' Veronica had talked to him about! Of course this made Muse feel even more guilty but he was glad she told him. Maybe this meeting and Sarah's pregnancy were a sign from Veronica. A sign to protect or at least take care of her ' Little Sister'. He allowed Sarah to explain then gently took her hand. " Hey, I think we've talked about the Council and betrayal enough for today. How was the meal? Is the child happy? What about you? Sarah..do you need anything else from me? Like a foot massage or something? I failed Veronica, but I won't fail you. Maybe..this was all her doing? She always told me she had a 'Little Sis' that she was worried about. She must have mentioned you a dozen times while we were out on missions, though she never revealed her name. Heck, if both of us weren't tossed out I might have been under your command this very moment. Of course it would be under my real name though. Life is odd..I met you only a few times but through Veronica I feel as if I've known you forever. Now I feel just aweful for knocking you up like that. Sarah..let's travel together. I'll do what I can to keep you and the baby safe and warm. I'm not doing this because I want to take advantage of you, or saying you aren't capable of going at it on your own, I just feel like...maybe Veronica wanted us to meet." he said softly. Muse probably figured she didn't feel the same way, yet something in his heart told him that he needed to be here with her and the child within her. Even if they never truely fell in love and just became friends, Muse felt like he needed Sarah, heck maybe she needed him as well..to heal each other's wounds. ========================================== ========================================== " Aye! Ye should be havin' kids the natural way, not the magical way." Brillux mused lightly, " Though any bigger 'an we'll 'ave to wheel ye around in a cart! I could have seen you as a mage or maybe a thief. Ye seem crafty enough for those professions. Of course, they way you chant quickly, ye could have been an Alchemist too hah!" he clattered dryly. (I'm kind of lost in the plot with Roxanne and the others. Are they lost in a maze or heading to a town? ^^; Or both?)

The onslaught of questions and comments took Sarah by surprise, her brown eyes widen as she listened to everything that he said. Not because she was shocked but because it came out all at once and without breath. It took her moments to piece together all that was said. Furthermore, she had not expected him to take hold of her hand and could not fathom why her heart skipped a beat when he did so. She fought against the urge to snatch her hand away not because he was holding it but because the mixed emotions were frightening her.
Sarah, after digesting what was said, nodded slowly and tried ignoring her surprise. "Thank you." she now started, trying to compose her thoughts and heart. She only hoped that Muse did not notice. She did appreciate however the thought of having someone to reassure her during this pregnancy. Since Veronica could not be here she decided to take what was given to her, even though a part of her did not want it.
Now to answer all the questions, she took a deep breath, "Yes, I enjoyed the meal. I honestly haven't a clue if the child is happy. I cannot complain." she stopped a moment she try to organize all the questions, this man had just sounded like a child it was actually very amusing to her to say the least. "I do not need anything more at present. I appreciate the offer but I must decline. Um.. you did not fail Veronica and this would be kind of a cruel way to get us to meet if she did have something to do with this." though she knew Veronica was much more into jokes and twisted pranks than she herself was. It actually wouldn't surprise her.
Sarah looked at him strangely, "She was only a year older than me." being considered 'little sister' was never something Sarah condoned too, she hated when Veronica would refer to her as such but she was glad to hear that her friend had worried about her and thought of her. She thought to comment on the fact that he gave her a false name to call him by but thought to bother him with that another time. "Hm.. I hate to admit it but I can't do this alone. So yes I will travel with you." had she gotten all the questions? She surely hoped she did.
She sighed in relief and leaned back, "Well... where are we going then? I assume it will get dark here soon." she looked over to the window, the sun had inched away from it's usual spot. "But we have plenty of time to leave town. The decision is yours." her head was starting to hurt but most likely it was due to all the serious talk then sad talk then serious talk again. He was hard to keep up with that was for certain.
[OOC: Good lord that was a breathless batch of questions xD lol]

[OOC: yeah sorry about that. ^^; lol] Muse let go of her hand and helped her out of her chair. He had paid for the meal so they were free to go. One small check to make sure they had their weapons and other personal belongings he allowed her to leave first, to also kind of look at her butt while she left too. Sarah had a cute butt, plus it was sort of a habit he picked up. He looked up at the sky. " Well I figured we'd get a good night's sleep at the Inn before heading out. I'm not really in a hurry, and you probably aren't either. Would you like to take a small walk to digest the food or head straight to the Inn? I don't mind either way." he asked happily. [OOC: I'll try to keep my posts not so long and not so full of a lot of deep things. It was too much information at once. ^^; ]

Sarah took a deep breath, glad to be outside again. It seemed like forever since she had been outside. It was cool and refreshing, she closed her eyes and sighed contently. She did not want to walk yet she did not wish to be inside, why did she have to be contrary?
She looked around, people were still bustling around, so it wasn't completely quiet. She brought her hands up to her long blond hair and twisted to her shoulder, turning to Muse she pursed her lips, trying to think of something she could do. "Could we possibly find a place to bath?" now that she thought about it she was a mess and wanted to be clean not to mention her joints were aching for relaxation of any kind.
[OOC: Haha, no no keep it up. It makes my posts look meaningful xD]

Muse gave her a nod. To be honest he needed a bath too. Maybe he could try to sneak a peek..no..never again would he be a pervert. Besides, she'd probably run him through with her sword. The town was still bustling, but dieing down. " Follow me I know of a place." he replied with a nod as he began to walk. He would lead her to a bit more expensive Inn, but he had the money and it had baths. Muse figured she didn't want to head to the other area where a bath was. At least in the Inn you wouldn't have peeping Toms trying to look at you. Most of the men were either entering the 'fun' houses or bars to begin their partying night. Not all the men were like that, Muse knew of at least a good handful of men who were good men and stayed home with their wives. Finally they headed into the Inn. " So I guess you and your wife will want a room?" the Innkeeper said looking at them both. Muse blushed, " S-She's not my--" " Here! Don't worry about the pay, it's on the house tonight. I can't turn away a pregnant bride. My my she's elligantly beautiful. How did a bum like you aquire such a beautiful woman?" he Inkeeper teased handing him a key. " W-Well you see Sir, we----" " Oh no no! I don't wanna know! There's a suite for you both. A room with a nice warm bath for you and her is probably what you want right now." The Inkeeper smiled pushing them both along their way. " Kids these days, I hope your child is healthy and happy!" he waved at them as they were sort of pushed upstairs. " Well that was odd..." he finally replied as they entered the room. Looking at Sarah with a sort of shocked expression he blushed. " Uhmmm...the bath's are on your left.." he sighed flopping on the couch.

Sarah followed Muse into the Inn and looked around, just as she was about to walk away to look at something she heard the innkeeper and felt her cheeks burn up, "W-wait a min-" of course both of them were interrupted as the innkeeper continued onward with his onslaught of misunderstandings. "I-I am not-"
"Oh no no! I don't wanna know! There's a suite for you both. A room with a nice warm bath for you and her is probably what you want right now."
He practically had been pushing them up the stairs and interrupting them on purpose, she swore it.
By the time they made it to the room, she was flustered a brilliant red. She silently nodded to Muse's reply and walked over to one of the beds, she took a seat and sighed. Trying to gain some form of composure before she bathed, she felt a kick and grunted a bit, placing a hand on the small bump. She hadn't realized how early they could start kicking, sometimes she didn't mind but others she swore the child was waiting for the moments she either was trying to relax, calm down, or get comfortable.

Muse lay on the couch, not sure of what to think at the moment. Sarah was cute yes, but she wasn't into him. Would it always be like this? How long then would he have to 'pretend' to be her husband? Honestly, the child was theirs so why should they care if people mistook them for being married or a couple? As he dwelled upon these questions he quietly took a small nap, Muse was a bit tired after all. He wouldn't awaked until two hours later. Sitting up slowly he yawned a bit and heard the sound of singing coming from somewhere.

(Theres no real plot here atm, Zero's character is driving the carriage towards the school of wizards. She just doesn't have as much free time as we do clearly. xD Figured your rogue and Winter's knight would be bumping into the group to help spice things up. =P If you have any ideas of stuff to do, feel free to toss em at us. We'll grab em and ride them out. biggrin ) "I'll take that as a complement. I considered training as a mage but they all seemed to interested in their books. Same with alchemists, no worldly outlook. Just their books. As for a thief... well... I got caught a few times doing that growing up so that path was stomped out of me fairly fast." Roxanne replied, wincing as a sharp kick from within her womb connected with one of her ribs. "Lets just hope these things turn out to be children... If so... maybe one of them can train to become a mage or a thief."

(((Kinda admit, that's the same reason for my lack of posting. Heck I forgotten the purpose of my character's lance, the whole reason that connected him to the others. >< Well lets see, perhaps...and suddenly I lost my idea, wow that was fast.)))
Eric sighed, he knew the skeleton had some more words for him, but Roxanne stopped them short. It was strange, she looked bigger today than yesterday, if that was even possible. He continued to ride beside them, the boredom of silence seeping in as all he could hear was the sounds of nature and overhearing their conversation. The newly acquired lancer thought that Roxanne probably didn't like that, so he reluctantly turned to Mina for conversation to keep himself out of theirs. "Hey, Mina? You don't mind talking a bit, right? I got to know Roxy-erm, Roxanne a bit, but you're still a mystery to me. Other than the whole candle-witch thing. How do you know about this place?"

Mina looked over to Lance as he called to her. "I am?" She asked, tilting her head some. "I always thought I was easy to read." She looked to her belly then back to Lance. "Oh? I used to go to this school, well, till." she blushed some and coughed. "I, burned the dorms down while, trying to make crackle fire candles. They wouldn't let me use the lab and magical item crafting isn't allow to be done on the lawn for, well, the reasons they're not suppose to be done in the dorms." She looked ahead again. "this was before my magical bag and he little magic lab I've got in there. What else would you like to know?" She asked, looking back to him again.

That was surprising, and yet at the same time, not so much. "Please tell me you improved since then..." He said as he shook his head in his hand. He'd like to hope Mina didn't have a history of burning stuff down. "Speaking of which." He looked over and pointed to her bag. "Where the heck you got such a bag of wonders?" He asked her, that bag was a more peculiar item than the statues were. She had a whole lab in there, that was incredible in his opinion. He could have definitely used those on this journey.

"yes I have but my lack of training at the time wasn't to blame." Mina said. "You see to make crackle fire candles requires a volatile substance known as sparkler spice. One thing wrong and buooosh!" Mina threw her hands up and jumped some, rocking the carriage. "Your house is up in flames." She said looking to Lance. "oh my bag, I got it from my third school as a graduation gift. I've got the recipe to make them but well, it's very expensive and takes about a month to make." She said. "i could try if you want, with these little babies coming along I'm going to have to find a place to settle down, hopefully some place by a forest so I can get the ingredients to make some stuff." She looked up some and kept talking about how she could start her own shop.

The retired general was sitting upon the window sill looking out at the lit up town, the sun was just disappearing over the horizon. Sarah ran her hand over her stomach subconsciously as she sang softly, "Deceived by my eyes and all I was told I should see" the song held some meaning to the knight, it was something but her and Veronica would sing together when they were alone or bothered or if they were missing someone. At present Sarah could not tell why she felt the need to sing it, "Opinions not mine, the person they taught me to be" the song, now that she thought about it, reminded her a lot of what went on with the military.
The felt the baby kicked her hand and she jumped, startled that her hand was placed there. She looked to the small bump and ran both her hands over it, she wondered if she could parent at all? 'Can I truly be a good mother?' she thought.
"One night in the dark, a vision of someone I knew.." she pushed the thought aside, she did not want to worry herself over it right now. Sarah looked back up and out the window, having not realized that Muse had woken up from his nap yet. "And in the darkness I saw, a voice say, I'm you." she closed her eyes and sighed.
