Indeed, evolution takes at least thousands of years. @_@ Besides, in the real world ravagers would be incredibly inefficiant... Giant clunky beasts that would need massive amounts of food, that could barely move, and that didn't even have fingers. They wouldn't be able to bring live hosts back to the hive, and they would be gunned down in a few seconds by any minigunner or exosuit pilot who saw them. A drone or a runner, on the other hand, could easily be sneaky... And they could take out an exosuit in a second with a mere pounce at the opening to where the human pilot sat.
Exosuits would actually be horribly inefficiant in the long run as well actually... A platoon of ordinary marines could get in and out and maneuver a lot more easily, making them quite superior to a group of exosuits which couldn't even dodge anything or move at more than a crawling pace. They're only effective in Extinction because in that game there is no dodging, and all that mattered was brute force.

Personally, I've always seen it as a very mobile tank. While it may not be able to manuver well in close quarter environments, it does provide a heavy armor and support role for the Colonail Marines. But then again, there's really nothing in the xenomorphs arsenal big enough, aside from the queen and a praetorian, that would require the exo suits weaponry. All in all, it'd be great for human and possibly yaujta vehicles and heavy infantry. But not xenos. neutral That didn't accomplish much. Don't know why the hell I typed all of that...
