"Ahhhhh! "Synd freaked out and grabbed onto the edge of the little pond as she fell in. Rising to the surface, her eyes barely stood over the edge of the water and she mumbled something under her breath, coming up as lots of air bubbles.

He laughed and fell back into the water, holding his sides as he sunk. "Oh you should see your face! Its priceless!" He laughed hard and couldn't stop now.

Synd twisted her mouth into something like a frown, but soon gave way into a smile as she pulled herself out of the pond. "Aren't I priceless to begin with?" She said sarcastically.

Nexus remained still as the day faded to night, his eyes closed.. body leaning against a tree as he considered what to do. He had woken to find blood and gore around him, a young woman and her pet dog reduced to nothing but flesh fur and blood. The unlucky pair... only the latest in 'serial killings' that had plagued the city these last two years. His other side would never be content, it seemed.. Brooding on this he was roused by the sound of wood snapping, his empty gaze resting on the thin branch he had been grasping. always.. he mused, watching sap form and drip to the ground.. always wanting to break things..

Quarentine smelled the blood, and she hadn't eaten in days. She'd been hoping to snag lunch on a wounded rabbit or something, but she found alot more carnage. There was a man leaned against the tree, that struck her as odd. She swapped to heat vision, trying to determine if he was vampire or lycan, but he was neither. She swaped back and walked closer. nothing scared her anymore, except maybe a good long look in the mirror.
Standing opposite him she scrathced the back of her head with the tipps of her claws. " You do this?" she asked. To her, he looked puny.

His gaze flicked to the woman, nonplused at her appearance... either physical or presence-wise. Someone had been bound to smell this sooner or later, after all.. A sharp ache split his ribs, right hand rising to his chest as his gaze narrowed with pain. Damn.. something must have kicked 'him' earlier.. " No.." he mused softly, looking down at the carnage. " .. This was not me." yet a chuckle answered in his mind, the voice all to familiar as it whispered mockingly.. Liar...

Quarentine put a finger to her head trying to block out the stupid radio signal She used to be the sweetest girl... what an ironic song. "Well that's a releif, at least I know you're not crazy." she said it fairly obvious he was lying. He was bloodied up too, blood splatters and what not, and didn't have a scratch on him... he must not be human." Do you have a barcode tattoo?" she asked turning to show him hers.

He blinked, the action slow.. betraying his hint of shock at how the conversation had turned. " Not that I am aware of.." Nexus had never searched for marks on himself.. had never thought to do so. His gaze was drawn to her hands, studying her claws.. and something in his mind purred in approval. The pain lashed again and he rocked back on his heels, sighing as a familiar sensation caught him. He did not have time to even warn her to flee, his mind blinking out as talons formed around his fingers.. Crazy, she said.. well, she was right about half of him.
Nexus stood still for a long moment, lifting his gaze to her own as he smiled.. a flash of predators teeth. This one smelled of hunter, not prey.. it interested him for the moment. Offering one talon riddled hand, he offered roguishly.. his voice darker, edged in pure sadistic glee. " Of course.. you may search me, if you desire."

She looked at him a second, and thought for a moment she ought to be suprised, but she wasn't. "Ok. But I bite." she said, the remark striking her funny bone, and she let out a little chuckle to herself. "Did you wake up in some lab too or were you just born this way?" she asked, incredibly casual. She couldn't find one and let out a soft damn. She'd been trying to find the a*****e who turned her into this for months now.

" Magic, lovely, we were born this way.." Prowling closer he gave what sounded like a pur, stepping close enough to catch her scent .. adding absently. " Science made you, I can smell it.." It was, perhaps, the most he had ever spoken while his animal ruled him.. but then again, she was not a prey-beast. And, obviously, she was female. Ignoring, or perhaps lured by, the possible danger she posed.. he moved closer and bent his head down, rubbing his cheek against her shoulder.. his mind shifting further to that of his gargoyle self. " Not enough blood tonight.. need more humans."

She watched him carefully not quite sure if she'd have to rip him apart or not, and rubbed her muscular belly "yeah... I'm hungry too... but I think I'd rather eat a werewolf." she sighed. She didn't smell one in the area... oh well. She took off her mask, so when she spoke it revealed rows and rows of needle like teeth. "I guess we go that way?" she asked showing her teeth mostly because she didn't want him trying anything funny.

" No wolf that way." Nexus' gaze slid down, curiously, to her mouth; his larger frame pushing into her steadily until a tree hit her back, keeping her still. Her warning was clear, even a creature such as he could sense it.. become fascinated by it. His hand brushed her jaw, talons stroking --not her delightfully sharp teeth, as he had first intended-- but her full lower lip.. careful not to p***k her as he studied the gesture. " Beautiful.. Yet you hide this."
The corner of his mouth curled up in a cold smile, his gaze unblinking as horns started to curl from his skull.. one wing working itself from his back with a series of audible cracks. Yet through this a strange elegance was clear, calculating and wicked... all the while his gaze remained locked on her face, even as his eyes became a glowing white.. looking down at her steadily. " You are a puzzle, Miss lovely.. why are you not afraid?"

She looked at him with the undeniable confidence. "Should I be?" she asked coyly it a bit of a taunt. She saw his gaze however and decided to answer honestly. "Welp, the way I see it, I wasn't sopposed to be made. So if you did kill me, it wouldn't be too much of a loss, there'd be more food for you and less untimely deaths at a time blah blah blah emo s**t.
On the other hand though, my creater, who ever that is, had craftmanship and I'm pretty sure you could rip me to shreds and I still wouldn't die, just turn around and try to do the same to you." she said flexing her claw. "Besides, I don't think you're stupid. And I don't think I'm the one you're trying to kill." she looked up meeting his eyes with a daring sharp gaze. "And you smell like romance." That statement she'd put lightly, it was more like a dog in heat but he wasn't female. Obviously. She assumed he didn't cross creatures like her often, and females ones even less, so she'd humor him for now. Until he crossed a line without her permission. Then she'd hurt him.
She pushed out her hips, toward his and cocked her head to the side. The radio signal was driving her insene at the moment, it was distracting. Take me home tonight, I don't want to let you go til you see the light...
Damn 80's music. She ran a clawed hand up his arm, resting it on the spike jutting from his shoulder. "I thought you were hungry." she teased.
