Not really, this makes his task force including a Republic-class Star Destroyer make more sense. Thats one of the "New Class" ships that is the focus of the New Republic's Shipbuilding efforts.

I was going to say I think the Jedi Shadows were disbanded after the Sith collapse and start of the rule of two. They are sith hunting specialists after all, without the sith they'd have no place in the order.

Republic-classes, though ungainly, are pretty formidable ships. 350m shorter, and 20% stronger than an Imp-I. While not the strongest ship out there, it's still far stronger than almost any frigate or heavy frigate we'd field.

I was reading the Wookieepedia entry

Capitol world will be uploaded tomorrow.
In the mean time, Everyone should be aware that there is a 558 Million Mile wide Active Super Black Hole in the Sector, a monster who's debris ring stretches 60 Astronomical units in diameter.
locals call this behemoth "The Pit". In ancient times it was worshiped as a god of Death and as a Demon by the Native Species in the Sector. In more Modern Times it was used as a method of execution, with condemned criminals being suited up in a vac suit and thrown in.
More to follow as I piece my information together.

I suppose you could have the same warning for the Zeltron colony... Do not approach lest you like parties.

Thats honestly not what I'm worried about. But the end fact being, that it doesn't matter. Because what happens is gonna happen, no-matter what one says.

And people wonder why I don't trust anyone to be my successor. Everyone seems to need someone to moderate these disputes. The attempt at working together seems to be failing faster than a starving hutt, and I'm sick and tired of the whining. 30+ pages in less than a week, and for something that has been mentioned, talked about, and generally fixated in the works numerous times before, the progress has been slow.

I'm about ready to simply lock this thread down and say forget this, because everyone seems to be unable to make much of a debate, and acknowledge the issues. Such as:

1) 13 vs. 17: what are the advantages of each year? I'm about ready to say shut up and pick 15 ABY, since that's the medium and damn whatever canon event is going on. We want to try to be by the book, but Anyone that remembers Shards of the force remembers it was only 10 ABY, and I managed to come up with 3 jedi, 3 sith, a droid army, massive NR fleets, and stuff that /shouldn't/ really exist properly. if it's just canon issues, we can try to let setting slide some.

2) Why do we really need such open ended jedi options? What are /you/ going to be making that requires it? Much more importantly, in this RP, why are jedi so prominently needed anyway? Short of DA, nobody has any plans for making one, do they?

3) Normally I assumed Cale was going to be the main GM. Not me. So is there any complaints that are fundamentally sound to propose someone else? or are we going to utilize his judgement?

4) Everyone's focused on building the systems. But I have yet to see the Sector rangers, the NR, and the terrorist organizations numbers, ships, stats, and crew being discussed and solidified. Only the imps have actually been talking about what they're in need of and agreeing on what they're going to present.

5) And finally, I want to know WHAT you plan on doing, and how this fits into everything. Period. Why they exist, what their purpose is, etcetera.


Once we get THAT down pat, I see no reason to be worrying about galaxies and whatnot. WE can't even get the mechanics in place, and people are just powertalking. I really dont' want to lock the thread down and toss it aside until every one of you starts acting more mature. If that happens, you will not like the RP, and you won't like me. I would rather not sit down with each of you individually like kindergardeners in time out and ask you "what's wrong with this" and "quit being selfish".

As the only confirmed New Republican, I've already settled on what I'm using. It was posted a few pages back.
