*Luciel flaps over to Lyssan as Hopian comes closer. The young dragon is entranced by the opal on his forehead, which glitters with all the colors of the rainbow. Hopian very gently takes Luciel from Lyssan's arms and holds him close..his love for his brother apparent in his every feature. He then hands him back to Amestru, who has just sent for the nurse*
So...you're Amestru? Nice place you've got here. Are these my brother's rooms?
*Luciel breaks free of Amestru's arms and flaps around the room, avoiding the nurse who has just come in*
So, what's yer title...I'm Lord of all Lightning...be ye king of Wolves?

amestru smiles at the talkative lion... there are those who call me that... lyssie calls me her chief bottle washer though... our kingdom be small and we must all lend a hand from time to time...
so can you help him... i won't be afraid to say i'll miss the little bugger iffin ye can... lyssan has told me of the troubles which have plagued the mage and how he came to be in this state... but i've grown fond of luceil and wish there was someway he could live to grow into his own... iffin what i understand of the situation is true... he'll be lost once kerobian returns... suppressed with no chance of maturing on his own into that which he was once meant to be....

Theoretically, no...there is no way. My blood could release Kero...but it could also keep him as Luciel. I'll leave it up to you...do ye wish him to drink my blood, or not? Perhaps...Kero could come up with a way to seperate himself...I've seen him pull dopplegangers. Self seperation shouldn't be too different from that.
*Catches Luciel and hands him to the nurse*

I can't contact him yet. But If you'll let me stay...when he is released, I will speak with him. He trusts me more than anyone, except his beloved.

hmmm... i tell ye what... i'm running out of spare rooms here... ye have yer choice... stay with luceil or bunk with jor... me brother snores tho... terribly... says lyssan with a grin....

*Luciel, being who he is, flaps away the instant the nurse takes her hands off of him, shooting off into the distance in the blink of an eye. Hopian, meanwhile, talks to Lyssan and Amestru*
So...what did my brother's spell originally do to you...is it Inari?
And this is a wonderful place you have...makes some of the palaces I've seen look like pigsties.
Although I may have come up with a way to try for my brother's recovery...but it will have to wait until Luciel is about the mental and physical age of four.

lyssan sighs and shakes her head... rhea's tampering caused the spell to regress me to a very young age... not quite as young as luceil is now... and truth is my mental capabilities didn't seem too impaired... but poor ame here would have had a lot of explaining to do had he even looked at me cross-eyed... kero was trying to unweave the spell when it snapped taunt and landed back on him... trouble is... he already has that little duality problem and it kind of got out of control
so... which of yer sibs is that one?

Ye mean Kero...he's not a gem-child, technically...His onyx was stolen from Desdemon. He is bound to me by blood...Ye see...I'm a vampire...or was, until recently. One of the rituals I knew was a bonding ritual...by mixing our blood, we bound ourselves to each other...as brothers. The two of us fight together, and we both complement the other. My other siblings are easily recognizable by the Gemstones on their foreheads...just watch out iffin ye meet one with an onyx or a jet and it's not Kero...those be our foes.
As for Kero...he is my closest friend. And that was Luciel shooting across the sky. I ask again...will ye get him, or should I?

lyssan grins and pops up next to them.... hmmm... i guess lightning is faster than starlight... but only just... so where was he off to.... did he say... he seemed to be heading for the orchard again... i thought he didn't like that place?

He didn't say...I think he was just running from his nurse...must have gotten away pretty quick...I kin still smell him. *Takes Lyssan's paw and pulls her back to the palace, transforming them into bolts of lightning until they reach the courtyard, where he carries Luciel up to his rooms*
Sorry about my brother, Nurse...what's your name? I didn't realize he'd do that. Here he is.
*He hands her Luciel, who immediately starts struggling against the nurses arms*
Inari...has he been a child long?
