Ishio's couldn't help it as his smile widened once she had told him the meaning of her words. When she had grazed his lips, he was a little pained as she pulled away before completely kissing him. He knew why she had done it though so he did not persist, not wanting her to worry about his own health. He set his hand against her cheek after her neck sentence and kissed her lips gently, not being able to resist any longer. He pulled back a moment later and set his forehead against hers, not caring, or noticing how uncomfortable his position was. "Sounds beautiful." He complimented on her phrase, although he wasn't sure what a Ko'olau breeze was.

Lani smiled and closed her eyes as she felt his lips against her own. She held it there for another moment or two until he broke it. And when he did, she opened her eyes to meet his loving gaze. "Ipo? I-I mean...Ishio...Do you want to know what the first thing that popped into my mind when I first met you was?" She asked as she chuckled underneath her breath, a tad embarrassed about out she fumbled up his name with Hawaiian terminology which meant 'sweetheart'.

Ishio's eyes glanced upwards and it was obvious that he was thinking. "Look at that sexy b*****d?" He laughed a little and that made him begin to wonder what she had thought. He was hoping for a cute response, but he would take whatever he got with complete bliss. He groaned slightly as he felt a slight pain from being bent over like he was and lifted her head and somehow got his legs on the couch and lied down next to Lani, resting her head on his arm. He smiled and waited for her answer to what she had thought of him.

Lani laughed gently, noticing the new positioning of their bodies on the couch. She quirked a brow at Ishio for a moment before shaking her head slightly, her hair swaying with her movements gracefully as well. "Actually...I thought in Hawaiian again..." She said before she thought for a moment, trying to remember what it actually was. "I think it went something like, 'Mai `ena i ke kanaka i laka aku.' Or something like that..." She said with a cute smile as she stared into his eyes for a moment, letting them have a moment of silence just so they could stare into each other's eyes and see the love of the other person return it ten-fold. She then snapped back to reality with the definition of it. "The literal translation of it means: 'Do not shy away from a person who is attracted to you.' And I thought that was both relevant yet hilarious for that moment where our eyes met and we spoke for the first time..."

"Really now?" Ishio still had a hold of Lani's hand, which he released and placed his hand against hers, palm open, before placing his fingers between hers and holding tightly once more. "I'm glad that you came here, Lani." He truly had no clue what he'd be doing if Lani hadn't shown up at the school. Ishio thought he'd probably be hitting on the other girls or something boring, but finding his love, had made him full of bliss and he did not want another person in his life. Maybe it was high-school love, doomed to end before they graduated, but he hoped not and would try his best to keep that from happening. He lifted his arm that was currently under Lani's head and pulled her a bit closer against him as he closed his eyes to think.

"I'm glad I came here too." Lani whispered back to him before she felt him pull her in even closer to him. With one hand currently interlocked with his, she simply moved her over to place it on his chest while she moved her head into the crook of his neck. "Ishio, when I first came to Japan, I knew nobody. I hated everything about here. I missed my home, my ohana, my friends, but since I met you. I've had a whole new perspective on life, especially when living here. So far, you've already done so much for me, even when I never asked you to do such things in the first place. You are amazing and my first and only love. I love you Ishio Kawazaki and I want to be with you until the day I die. Or at least No Kau a Kau; For Eternity..." She told him with closed eyes, putting as much love and passion for him into each word, letting it spill out of her openly.

Ishio's smile failed to waver as she confessed her feelings for him. He was beyond happy after she had finished, hearing her words had brightened everything about his life. He lifted his arm and brushed her hair with his fingers, kissing her forehead as well. "You make everything bad, everything terrible, melt away in my life. Thoughts of my past disappear as I kiss you or hold you. Just having you near me brightens my day beyond belief." He kissed her lips gently. "Lani, you are the only one I that I have ever loved and you shall remain that way in my heart forever. I only hope I can bring as much happiness to you as you do for me." He removed his grip on her hand and draped it over her waist, pulling her in to a very intimate kiss.

"Ishio..." Lani began as she stared into his eyes, blushing lightly as she did so. "You make me feel more than happy. You make me feel loved. And that's all I could ever ask of you to do.." She told him happily before she felt him pull her in for a deep yet ultimately intimate kiss. She took the hand that was on his chest and moved it upward to his neck, tugging on it slightly so that his head moved forward, holding his body against her own now.

Ishio's hand drifted up to her cheek and rested there as they kissed once again. He could feel the love and passion she put behind the kiss and returned the feelings as best as he could. It was a miracle that such a girl was lying next to him, feeling things such as love towards him. He smiled as he kissed her, thinking, no, knowing, that the happiest days in his life had been yesterday and today and he was sure there would be more to follow. He stopped for a brief moment to say that he loved her, then continued kissing her. He chuckled slightly into the kiss as he thought about how class had probably started or was about to and that they were making out on their couch.

Lani smiled as she continued to hold Ishio tight to her body as well as kiss him as passionately as he was to her. But after awhile, she began to get lightheaded again, and not in the good sense. She soon reluctantly broke the blissful kiss, cringing as she did so, since it had been so perfect. She then moved her hands from his face and chest and covered her mouth before she coughed a few times, at first it was soft and then it quickly turned violent, her body heating up like it was earlier. "I-Ishio...bring me my small...blue bag please?" She asked of him in a soft voice just above a whisper, almost pleading for him to get it with her eyes. She hated herself for stopping such an amazing moment, but she knew that he would think that her health was worth more to him than his own pleasure. And that was just one of the many reasons why she loved him: he was always so considerate of her and her feelings.

Ishio kissed her on the forehead, upset that a sickness had intruded with their kissing. He got off the couch and went to the room. He came back out with the bag she had requested and set it on the couch, next to her. He sat down near her feet and set his hand on her leg as he looked at her lovingly.

Lani smiled, nodding to him as she opened it, taking out a few containers as she coughed once more, becoming more delirious now. "Mmm,here we go..." She said with a smile as she took out a water bottle and took a few pills, one to reduce fever and aches, another to reduce sneezing, coughing, and just in case, vomiting. It would take awhile for the effects to kick in so she just placed everything back into the back before zipping it closed, now holding onto her stomach in a sort of pained way.

Ishio moved the bag out of the way after she'd finished up and walked back into the room to retrieve a blanket. He stepped back into the living room with his bed's blanket and lied down next to Lani, pulling the blanket up and over both of them. He wrapped his arm around her and held her close, trying to help a little by bringing comfort to her. He just hoped he wasn't making things worse. It was his fault this had happened and he loved her, so the least he could do was make her as comfortable as possible.

Lani snuggled in close to him, coughing into her hands once more before she just laid there. "Ishio...I hate doing this to you. You should be with your friends or at school or something. Don't hinder yourself for me..." She whispered to him as she opened her eyes, glancing up at him as she nibbled on her bottom lip roughly. "You have a life too, and it's not to be here as my mother, caring for me when sick. I can do it on my own..." She was still a tad delirious, so she didn't know what she was saying exactly-a side effect to the medications- but she was still thinking of it regardless.

Ishio chuckled a bit and ran his hand through her hair. "I'll be completely fine. I may look like a guy who pays attention more to woman than grades, but I'm actually quite intelligent. I'll be fine missing a day of school and about friends, I don't really have many here yet anyway. It'll be fine. Besides that, I don't want to leave your side right now." His hand rested on her cheek for a moment before going back down to her waist. "Please, don't worry about me. Just rest. I'll take of my problems when I'm sure you're ok." He kissed her on the cheek once more before just staring into her eyes.
