Ruque's brow furrowed gently. "Why is it like that?" he asked. "Why does the time do funny things here?"
If there was a reason for it, perhaps he could understand it better ...
Aliya giggled. "I'm sure that will be all right," she smiled, holding out her arms to Naida. "Come on, time for your hug."

Miyu frowned for a moment it was really hard to explain seeing as it was one of those odd quirks that took a while to wrap one's mind around.
"Uhm.. well I'm not sure, it's just one of those differences between worlds. When you're in a different world there are rules of nature that might not be the same.. I guess time is one of them."
"Yay!" Naida squealed as Feng handed her over to Aliya, "Huggies!"
"I think you're more active that I am," Feng laughed.

"Rules of nature?" Ruque questioned, tilting his head curiously. "What's that mean?"
Of all of Celebor and Niyana's children, Ruque was the most curious, and had the greatest hunger for learning. When someone indulged him, he could be hard to stop.
Aliya laughed and hugged Naida close, squeezing her tightly and wiggling her back and forth. "Yes, hugs for you," she giggled.

Miyu tried to think, she wasn't so good in knowing this world, though she spent a lot of time with her Uncle Yukito who told her many things.
"Simple things... like uhm.... when the sun comes up, when the moon comes up, how clouds are formed or how rain falls. From world to world they could change, though Gaia, our birth world and here are very similar...."
She paused to think about it.
"Whee!" Naida hugged back all happy that she was getting to hug Aliya.
After a few moments she looked up at her.
"Okay! I'm full, I want to be with Ecthlion now."

Ruque blinked again. "But the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and the moon ... the moon ..." He frowned. "I don't know ... I've seen the moon all times of day and night before ... and I don't know about clouds ..."
So how would he know if it was different between worlds?
Ecthelion grinned and reached up to take Naida from his grandmother. "Okay," he agreed. "But you gotta be careful, I'm just little so I'm not so strong as Ada is yet."

Miyu smiled softly, "I don't think there are those type of differences here though... I think it's the same for all our worlds... but... I think I remember Uncle Yuki telling me that the oceans are not salty here unlike back in Gaia."
Which suggested there was less salt content in the ground itself.
"But I mean.. sometimes there are differences, it's just hard to tell, but our worlds were created differently, that's the most important thing."
"I'll be careful!" Naida pipped up as she wrapped her arms around Ecthelion.
She grinned from ear to ear, happy to be with her friend.

"Really?" Ruque asked in amazement. "How were the worlds created? Why can we go to all of the different ones?"
He was so full of questions now! He wanted answers!
Ecthelion grinned and held Naida tightly. She was heavy - but then, she was half fish.
"So what you wanna do?" he asked her. "Maybe Nako has cookies for us!"
Aliya's eyes sparkled brightly. "Maybe I do," she agreed. "Would you like some cookies, Naida?"

"Well...." Miyu began to fiddle with her fingers, "Every world is created differently, like the Goddesses created our world, and this world.. well you need to ask someone who knows more about the history here than I do."
She didn't know that much really, well she had a feeling Aragost knew far more about the history, and not just because he knew everything.
"Yay!" Naida nodded so quickly it looked like it might fall off, "Cookies! Pleaseeeeeeeee!"
Her mouth shaped into a wide smile as she said this.

"Who would know about all of that?" Ruque asked eagerly. "I'd like to learn more, if I can."
Aliya laughed at Naida. "Well, come on to the kitchen then," she smiled, motioning for everyone to follow her. "There's plenty to go around."

Miyu had never met anyone with so many questions (well she had but hadn't realized it). Still she ocntinued to answer the questions as best as she could. Before anyone had realized it time had gotten away from time.
Whether Miyu was ready or not, it was time to return the children to Celebor, even if it meant running into Ruran, and from the sounds if it Feng had not made Ruran happy.
She tired not to twitter her fingers as they stood outside of Ulani and Ulrich's home, and she tried really hard not to look around nervously for Ruran as she knocked to return the children to their parents.
At least she wasn't alone, the children were here, and so was Feng....

It was Celebor who answered the door, since Niyana and Ulani were together in the kitchen preparing dinner for everyone. He smiled widely when he opened the door and saw everyone, and he stepped aside so that they could all come in.
"It's so good to see all of you again!" he beamed happily. "What are the odds that we would come here at the same time that you were all here?" He chuckled warmly.
Aras pushed past everyone and ran to her father, throwing her arms around his waist and hugging him tightly.

"Not likely... mi..." Miyu replied shyly, "Though you must have entered only shortly after we did. This is only our second day here...."
It made her wonder how they could have missed Celebor and his family being here.
"Yea," Feng affirmed, "It was probably one of those just missed us moments because there were a number of us. Well you know the usual, but this is great! Now we can talk and catch up and -"
"And I wondered where you've two been all day," interrupted a voice as Ryu appeared behind Feng.
"And what have you been up to?"
"Personal day," Ryu replied, in otherwords he needed sanity.

Celebor chuckled softly. "Mom did say something about a recent departure, yes," he agreed, "but we had a time just getting through the mansion. Our first time there after all."
He put one hand on Aras's back and grinned at Ryu. "I see nothing's changed with any of you."
Ruque slipped past everyone and headed to the kitchen to see his mother - and to see if he could help out.

Ryu chuckled at Celebor, it was hard to imagine Celebor the little boy they had known. He watched as Ruque left for the kitchen and nodded.
"Of course," Ryu grinned looking around he noted Kanis but... "I thought you have four children, Feng only came with three."
"Err..." Feng coughed, "Yes well..."
How was she going to say this without being down right rude?
"He's a sourpuss," Naida pipped up.

"Ruran needs some very special attention," Celebor said dryly. "I'll head out to find him in a bit. In the meantime, I'd like you to meet the rest of my family."
He smiled warmly. "This is Aras, I'm sure you remember her," he began, nodding at the girl who was still hugging him around the waist.
Aras looked up at Ryu, but didn't say a word.
