Plopping down at the bench before Lark's vanity as she was pushed that way, she let her friend brush her silvery white hair out. A considering look crossed her features, "I couldn't go too much, I don't have anything new to wear. From what I've seen, you should always wear something new to those."

He slowly raised an eyebrow at her words before his own brigade reflexes kicked in and he was up and behind her, her body gently bumping back against his as she jumped back and he steadied her lightly with his arms around her somewhat, looking over her shoulder. "Just a little mess, no harm done." Turning her to him then and inspecting hr head. "Save for a bump to the head. Feel alright?"

"But...isn't it rude to always be borrowing your things? And I wouldn't want to make too much work for anyone else." Thinking for a moment, "What else happens at these things? Besides the dancing? I'm not very good at it."

"It's just a carpet, it can be replaced or cleaned. Your head however is not so easy to take care of." Watching her test her footing before he merely swept her off her feet and carried her over to his bed, setting her in it. "You shouldn't try to go anywhere, just give yourself a moment." Inspecting her head once more, just for good measure. After all, he was an accomplished healer as well. "How was Valeessen?"

"Oh." Watching her friend getting ready for things as well, or rather unready. "Suppose I have to at least try all the different ones out, if that's okay with Glynnic." Blinking then as if she remembered something. "Oh...I'm not keeping you from him, am I?"

He watched her skeptically, after all hits to the head no matter how little were a cause for concern. Especially if she showed signs of being weary, because that was bad in some cases. "He's a good elf." Sitting on the bed as well and looping an arm around her shoulders he pulled her up and let her lean against his shoulder, more or less attempting to keep her from reverie without being obvious. "Should I got make us some more tea?"

She wasn't quite sure what an open invitation was, but it was probably better not to ask that one. "What are you teasing him about?" A look around the room and then back to her friend. "Do I reverie...here? Or somewhere else? I think I'm fine. My feet are sore though."

"Convince me more that you are and I'll stop worrying. It's what I do." Giving her a grin though as she fondly spoke of the obsidian she held so dear and then moved on to more single minded matters of present. "Fair enough." Getting himselp up then and disappearing for a moment to grab a towel and coming back to sop up lukewarm tea water. "Do you need me to bring you your change of clothes? You may want to sit a little more, but I hardly think like that."

"Does it?" She didn't get why exactly but she could see the reason behind it. Wandering over to the bed she looked at it a moment as if she wasn't sure if the invitation was okay or not to take before sitting down on the plush mattress, figuring it was best not to be rude. "I'll be fine." Taking the notion with a smile and a nod of her head to her friend. "I did have fun. New things are always great."

"Not many people do." Getting up and heading them down to her room, of course looking in on Vale on the way by - he was passed out face down in his pillow - before continuing to her room. It was of course was usually immaculate and organized but it looked like she had been doing various decision making over her attire for the night.

Heading to the dresser, he pulled open the top draw and surveyed it's contents. Her wardrobe figured though, seeing as you could only be but so formal and uniformed during the day that you should indeed be as loose and free as you wanted at night. Pulling out the red silky slightly sheer material, her draped it over her arm and headed back to his room where she was resting. "Here you are."

"Are you trying to sneak up on me? You know you rarely ever do and when you try I catch you most of the time anyway." He was lounging on the bed of course already attired down for bed.

Picking up her heels, he set them aside so they wouldn't be in the way, as he had a penchant for tripping over things in the open spaces at home, before turning to her question. "Ah, so it's true with even you. Woman will never be able to get themselves out of their fancy attire by themselves." Coming over to her and resting his hands on her shoulder before brushing her hair away from her neck to reveal buttons and taking to undoing them down to the small of her back. "I do hope you enjoyed yourself tonight though. I'd hate to think I was a horrid party partner."

"What man should be comfortable with the knowledge that his daughter is with her beloved just down the hall, doing who knows what." Pulling her to him with a grin. "I am comfortable. Especially when I have you to plop on while enjoying reverie." Though the eyebrows said different less innocent things.

He gave her a raised eyebrow before a light chuckle and closing his eyes, turning his head away. Though that's was all he did rather than fully turn away. "Modesty?" Letting her change though and opening his eyes when she gave the go ahead, not that he'd admit to peeking. Giving her a smile and an approving appreciative nod. "Well, now that you're comfortable, I can get so too." After all, he was still half dressed in fancy. Cleaning up the floor some more he disappeared for a moment, coming back in looser fitting pants and a loose fitting, opened front tunic. Coming to her once more, he took her face in his hands and tilted her head up, examining her head once more. "You'll be just fine, that's a forgone conclusion."

"I'm a young man, I still have a lot of defects about me as I'm often told. Whether that's good or bad is up to the company I keep." Shaking his head at her though remaining as casual as ever. "You probably would be too. After all, it's a little warm tonight."

"Yes you have. But I worry, it's what I do." Letting his eyes drift down to hers at her question, letting more silence pass before he closed his eyes and sighed lightly. "Because I care for you. I shouldn't, but I do." Letting her go and running a hand back through his hair as he straightened his posture some.
