Ken was born into a family of strong bloodline userss. They all practiced the abilities of Hikari Seishou and where all remarkably good at it. Upon coming of age Ken was tested and proven to have the same drive and will to become a Hikari Seishou user as everyone else in his family, it is their gift.

Upon being chosen in the family to be a main user Van was given a test. He was forced to use his power to find his brother who had been hidden in a room, this test however was dangerous, if Van could not find his brother in time he would have been killed. Van disqualified himself from the test unwilling to risk his brothers life and so he was shunned from the family and sent from their secluded hideaway. Thusly he left to the sand village and has begun his life a new...
