Arris smiled, drawing his broadsword. It shone dully in the light, but it was still as sharp as a kings blade. "Who are these people?" He looked at the vampire and nodded. "Are you related to this girl?" he asked.

"Cobolt back off!" She barked at her brother. She looked at Vane. "It's ok little one," she told him. "He's not after you." She looked back at Arris. "This is Cobolt and Vane. Cobolt is my brother and Vane is my friend."
Cobolt growled but did as Kiara said. She was his generation pack leader after all. He guarded her flank as was his job.

Arris looked puzzled. "I had no order to kill anyone under a certian age." he turned to Kiara and smiled. "You speak as of you challenge me, you sure you want to that?" the hunter twirled the blade casualy and returned it to a armed stance. "Im ready anytime..."

Kiara looked at Arris sadly. "It's not my place to decide your fate," she said. She looked at her brother. "Cobolt...Take Vane home. He should eat something soon. Watch over him and tell mother. Don't give her any details. I will explain everything when I get back."
Cobolt growled at Arris. He shied back when Kiara turned and bared her white teeth at him. He looked at Vane. Come along little one, he told Vane. Kiara can take care of herself. Besides, mother likes you and would love to cook for you.

*Vane hesitates then without saying anything he goes to Kiara and hugs her and places something in her hand*"Pprotection...Pplease kkeep. Ddon't wwant tto llose yyou."*He goes back to Cobolt.He gave Kiara his necklace that he hide from all eyes.He was given it by a powerful person who he didn't know when he was only 3 years old.But his adopted family told him to hide it so none would take it that it was special..He wanted Kiara to have it now*( This is the necklace  )

Kiara smiled at him and slipped the necklace on. She watched as Vane and Cobolt retreated. She sighed when they were out of sight. She relaxed slightly and leaned against a tree. "It's the job of the Family Counsil to decide," she answered his question. "But Rhomy was in my pack, so my word has great weight. But mine is not the final word." She ran a hand over her ribs where an old injury bothered her from time to time.

*Vane stumbles as he and Cobolt retreate..He smelt fresh blood but it wasn't wolf or vampire it was human. He blinks then his red eyes glaze over and he walks from Cobolt and walks to were the scent of blood was coming from*

Arris glanced at Kiara and walked around in a circle, till olding teh sword at his side. He wasnt about to let his gaurd down yet. "That is interesting. So will i be able to plead my case, or will the decision be immediate?" he asked. "If that e the case, im not going out without a fight, or a bang. Nothing scares me more than the night of my villages slaughter. This would be nothing." Arris said almost mockingly.

Kiara scowled. "My family would never dream of declaring someone guilty without first hearing their side," she snapped. "We are fair and just. And-" She groaned in pain as her old wound hurt her.
Cobolt shifted and turned. He smelled blood. "Vane be careful, I smell-" but Vane wasn't there. Cobolt turned and saw Vane heading to the source of the blood scent. He cut him off. "Vane! Control yourself!"

Kiara gasped for breath. "It's-nothing!" She said. She hated looking in front of anyone. "Old injury. Nothing more."
Cobolt closed his eyes and sighed. I'm gonna hate myself for this tomorrow, he thought to himself. He used his massive teeth and cut open his own leg. Blood flowed from his muscle and dripped on the ground.
