Ciara sat silently beside Aleski, letting him scream. She knew it was good for him to let that go. She knew the cards were useless without her, so if these people knew anything at all, they wouldn't be interested in a bunch of paper.

The mixture of anger, frustration, and sadness had caused Aleksi to quiver as he sat. The quaking slowed to a stop, and he sat in silence. "I'm sorry Ciara." he said hanging his head in shame. "I didn't mean to say that to you." he apologized.

"It's alright, Aleski," Ciara said quietly. "If it upset me, I would have stopped you. You needed to scream, everyone does sometime. And that isn't the worst I've had said to me."

Aleksi smiled slightly, he raised his head. "Yes, I suppose." he said. "But it pains me to treat anyone as such. I reserve my anger for those who deserve it." He turned to her. "You've done nothing to me to make me say such things." He paused and looked down with his eyes. "I've just been searching for so long..." he said cutting off.

"Then they've got to be somewhere, right?" Ciara said. "Maybe the cards just didn't interest them."

Aleksi took another deep breath, calming himself further. "I suppose." He said quietly and seeming exhausted. "What do you suppose we do?" He asked turning his head slowly to look at Ciara.

"If they recognize you in weapon form..." Ciara was speaking as half-formed thoughts popped into her head.

"I wonder if they would steal me again..." Aleksi said staring forward as thoughts rushed through his head. "I suppose that would be worth a try. But we cannot simply go pick up your cards and replace them with me." he said pointing out the difficulties in what she had said, "If they had been watching, then they would see us and it would be too obvious. Besides, when they got me last time, there was a mage which locked me as a weapon. If that happened I wouldn't be able to defend myself."

"If I go out and get my cards, carrying you in weapon form...I might be able to undo the spell if that happened. I can get my cards and walk around for a little bit, see if that tempts them out," Ciara suggested.

"It's crazy enough to work." Aleksi said smiling dastardly as another personality took hold. He held out a hand to Ciara. "Grab it." he said quickly, he gave off a strange air of insanity and unbalance whenever he switched to this personality. To most people, it was unsettling as his voice grew darker, and his smile often widened to a frightening grin.

Aleksi un-necessarily tightened his grip on Ciara's hand. He melded into darkness, allowing his form to shift about. He hardened back into reality as the same dark weapon as before, the hand he had gripped Ciara with was now a dark red handle, and the rest of him hung as a chain from the handle. His nude figure could be found in the reflection of the blade. His usual personality had returned. "Sorry for grabbing your hand so hard Ciara." he apologized.

"It's fine," Ciara said, looking into the street. She stood gracefully and ran to her cards. She knelt by them and moved to return them to her bag.

Aleksi yawned, he hated being as a weapon for too long, unless he was fighting. He looked around from inside the blade at the buildings that went by as Ciara walked around.

Ciara put the cards back and began walking around, randomly. She held the blade casually by her side.
