Emma continued their kiss for a while longer before pulling away, not wanting it to get out of hand (*coughclothesoffcough*). Like always, she rested her forehead against his and caught her breath for a moment, a blush apparent on her cheeks. She looked up at him through her lashes and mouthed with swollen kissed lips, 'I love you.'

Connor's breathing was shallow as the kiss was broken, his eyes sliding open to a half-lidded state as always. Love was evident in his bright, now soft green eyes as he smiled warmly. Having caught his breath, he responded with a voice so soft and gentle that if one didn't pay attention, they'd miss it. Even with the quietness of his voice though, the intense emotions within it were louder than any volume of sound could create. "I love you too."

Emma nearly broke out in tears for the happiness that she felt inside her. It was so unreal to her that this was happening to her. That this man was saying these things to her. How was she so lucky to have his arms wrapped around her form? How was she so lucky to feel his lips on hers whenever she felt like it. Unable to contain it anymore, a tear slipped down her cheek as she gave him the greatest smile she could muster and hugged him around the waist with her tiny appendages.

Connor's eyebrows furrowed in concern at the sight of a tear sliding down Emma's cheek. Seeing her smile though, he smiled in return and held her close. Instinctively, his hand came up to cup the side of her face that the tear had travelled down. He caressed her cheek with his thumb, wiping away the tear and wearing a loving smile all the while.

((omg, i just finished typing a five page essay and i swear to god i think my fingers are going to fall off. haha))
Emma smiled as she hung onto him for a moment longer. She pulled away and stated, "We should get something to eat in the kitchen and watch a movie to fall asleep to." She walked out of the pool, dripping wet and without a towel, and walked into the house, not caring that she was leaving behind a puddle of water wherever she stepped.

Connor nodded in agreement and exited the pool. At first, he blinked a few times and looked around for a towel - after all, he'd been taught that it was rude to track water in one's house. But after seeing her walk in with no regard for the tracks of water, he shrugged and followed after her.

Emma stuck her head into the refrigerator and searched for appetizing food, unaware that her butt was in the air, wiggling around cutely. She smiled when she saw a box of cold pizza and some grape juice and grabbed it. Forgettting that there was a shelf above her head, she banged her head on the bottom of it as she went to move her head out of the refrigerator. OW! she thought as she sucked up the pain and shut the door with her foot and placed the food on the counter. She rubbed her head where there was a growing headache and looked up at Connor. "Cold pizza, or warm pizza?" she questioned as she placed some pizza on paper plates.

Connor's blush returned full-force as she wriggled in front of the refrigerator. Attempting, and actually being slightly succesful, to tear his gaze from her cute actions, his eyes were jerekd back to her when the sound of her head hitting the shelf reached his ears. A crease of concern immediately appeared in his brow as he tilted his head, about to make a move toward her but stopping when she moved away from the refrigerator. Nonetheless, he spoke with worry laced throughout his voice. "Either is fine with me. Are you alright?"

Emma gave him a nod with a cute smile before handing him a paper plate of pizza and a cup of grape juice. She grabbed her pizza and juice as well and walked up to her room, expecting him to follow. She placed her items on the bed and walked over to the shelf that was beneath the television and searched for a good movie. I feel like watching...THIS ONE! she thought as she picked up Definitely, Maybe. "This movie is okay with you?"

Connor took the plate and juice with a curt nod of thanks and followed Emma into her room. Careful not to knock Emma's items over, he sat on the bed and placed the plate and juice on his lap before looking up. A wide smile spread across his lips as she picked up the movie. "Sure." Though he kept his voice fairly calm and even, he laughed happily inside. I love this movie! A faint snicker resounded in the back of his mind. Shut up. It's a good movie. After brushing off the odd, inward banter, he brought the pizza to his mouth and speedily gobbled it down - It was his usual pace.

Emma jumped up and down in happiness as she turned and put the DVD into the DVD player. She grabbed a remote, turned down the lights, got in the covers next to Connor, and ate her pizza as she selected the play option on the menu. Throughout the movie she laughed, cursed at females (such as the journalist), and was saddened when he didn't go out with the April ((i think that was her name)) at first.

Connor chuckled at her antics, barely avoiding choking on the piece of pizza he was chewing on. Being the type that was usually silent during a movie, he ended up laughing softly throughout the film due to both Emma's reactions and the movie scenes themselves. At the end of the movie, he wore a warm, pleasant smile. Such endearing films brought him great joy - not near as much joy as Emma did, of course - but a great amount nonetheless.

After the movie had finished, she turned off the t.v. with the remote, placed her cup and plate aside, and pulled Connor under the covers with her. As soon as he was under, she was glued to his side, her soft skin brushing against his for they were still in their bathing suits. Like a baby lured to sleep it's mother's lullaby, Emma had instantly fallen asleep, cuddled up against Connor's warm body.

Just as Emma began to pull him beneath the covers, he'd placed his plate and cup down. Connor wrapped his arms around her, content with her being so close. Finding himself somewhat restless for the time being, he opted to just let his eyes drift shut and listen attentively to their breathing patterns. As if lulled by the soft sounds, he fell into a peaceful sleep, all the while wearing a small smile.

Emma awoke to a rising chest and warm, soft skin on her cheek. She opened her eyes and saw the color of skin before her, causing her to realize that Connor had spent the night last night. A smile graced her lips as she looked up at the peaceful Connor and kissed him in the middle of his chest. Wanting to get a few more moments of sleep, she closed her eyes again and cuddled deeper into Connor.
