Demetrius immediatly felt the lack of him, but he nodded, not showing any negative emotion, sure that it would only offbalance Raffh even more. "Of course." The elder coon murmured, nodding. He took the lead, hands tucked behind his back, staring off at the clouds.

(Will repsond to Javert when brain decides it wants to write him. XD wink

Raffh followed along behind Demetrius, relived the coon accepted his problem. He stomach growl at him reminding him of more urgent and simple to fix solutions, and the fluttery feeling return because now behind Demetrius he had a nice view of the coon's back and for some reason it looked tasty.

The coon continued to walk on, looking back once every so often to make sure that Raffh was still okay, smiling softly at the cat every time he did so.

Javert merely shrugged, as he wasn't overly eager to be having this conversation in the first place. If they weren't even aware of, or dealing with, the dangereous criminals living among them, what good were they as superiors?

Raffh looked up at Deme catching one of the catches and giggled. He walked to Demetrius and placed a hand on the others arm. "I'm fine. I'm not going to fall down," he said softly.

Demetrius smiled softly, amazed at how much that contact meant to him - it was amazing as well how much Raffh had grown on him - and nodded. "Just making sure..."

"I'm sure..if I was beliving I could fall I would insit on you carrying me places," he said flushing slightly and recovered by giving the coon's arm a gentle smack.

((Wow, watch me be oblivious >>))

This was indeed a problem - why did all the issues have to crop up at once? What on earth had Balin been up to, if anything? His alpha was... competent, surely. The follow-up of the past few months, when he had been confronted by misconceptions and the penalty of hastiness on all sides, had convinced him of that. But now he felt the doubts returning...

"I shall... return at a later date then, perhaps - you will forgive me for priortizing," he decided then, turning to leave the flat with much more decisiveness than had guided his arrival.

((And watch me again, yaaaaay =D))

Not so bad a place - sizeable, clean enough - far too far from anything properly disreputable for the Captain's tastes, but things were as they were and you took what you could get in new territory, even if it did decided to bundle you up for slow roastings over a ritualistic bonfire.

This didn't really appear to be the cannibalistic sort of establishment, however, and Jack was gratified to note that, though he kept the observation strictly to himself. "Home sweet home?" he asked in declaration to the now-slightly-less-staggery William. The boy'd get the hang of it someday. Actually, it might be better if he didn't. At least he'd still have a headstart then.

(Yaaay oblivion~

...Wait. XD;;; )

"Perhaps." The inspector grunted, with the undertone of 'If you were not to return, it would be no great loss to me'. It was...shoddily concealed, but at least a half-assed attempt was made, simply because the respect of one's superiors had been drilled into the coon.

Bastien followed to the door, glancing back at Javert over his shoulder with the slightest of frowns.

"Something like that." Will replied, perhaps a tad sourly, wondering just how far Jack would 'escort' him. Upon reaching the large glass doors at the main entrance, he turned and gave a thin-lipped smile. "I think I will be able to make it the rest of the way." He announced, and then as an afterthought, and obviously forced, "Thank you."

((....We may be yaaaay'ing a little too many theengs, methinks xD

Yaaaay wait xD))

It wasn't disrespect that got on Atticus' nerves, oh no - nor insubordination. He expected no obedience until he'd proved himself capable, that much had been true even before his second departure. What really irked him was impotence. And damned if he'd fall into that trap again.

"I think I should like to speak with my Alpha before approaching these wayward pack members," Atticus said lightly though stiffly to his counterpart as they made their exit, not looking any direction but straight ahead. "In which case... I suppose we shall be seeing each other rather soon, though our time now is to be cut short." Still standing on formality, having been so shocked into authority

"Mmhm," the Captain responded vaguely, rather fascinated with the relatively pristine condition of - was that real glass? Fingers tapped upon it - real, bonafide glass. Strange idea.

Then, wait - dare he believe it? "Thank you?" Jack grinned very broadly and looked over his shoulder to the boy, "That's rare courtesy, William - strikes me that I ought to be thanking you for remembering the words at all." Jibe jibe jibe.

(*giggle*

If Atticus and/or Balin DOES manage to show themselves competant leaders, it'd probably be a really good thing, because...well, it's Javert. And he'd be loyal as hell, as long as he thinks that those above him are worth working under.)

Bastien nodded, honestly a little offput by that formality. "...Yeah. I'll see you sometime later, then." His words were a little stiff.

Will simply growled and pushed back Jack with a "Good day, Jack." as he entered the building, planning to - now that the suggestion had been planted - flop down in bed and sleep off the rest of his intoxication.

(If Jack doesn't follow him in, I can always have Norrington coming out of the building...)

((*cackled involuntarily at the idea of minion!Javert* >> Oh man, that's glorious xD

Oh dearie, what could possibly possess Jack not to follow? razz He does have an image to keep >>))

"Later," Atticus echoed distantly, already caught up in the issue of... how exactly he was supposed to level with Balin now that he'd not only returned but returned with problems that his Alpha had apparently been neglecting.

Sigh. Of course it wasn't going to be easy. And he was gone.

Jack nodded amiably with the clear dismissal and then very easily ignored it, following the boy inside with that peculiar swinging stagger, looking about with a graciously silent curiosity.

(*gigglegiggle*

...Good point.)

When he heard footsteps, Will - forgetting momentarily that he was drunk and therefore rather unstable unless he really concentrated on not being so - turned quickly on his heel, a bad idea since the world then promptly decided to spin around a few more times than he had intended, and he just barely kept his balance by firmly planting his feet rather wide apart. All in all, the menacing, disapproving look he had meant to give Jack was...rather ruined. "Jack." He bit out. "I'm fine now, you can go."

The Captain stayed his ground then, arms out spread in such a manner that it was impossible to tell whether he expected an embrace or to have to fend off an attack. His head bowed with a gracious sort of smirk as he wagged a finger at the boy's announcement, "Ah, dear William, I am no longer here exclusively for your benefit."

The smirk turned into a more amiable grin as he gestured vaguely and expansively about, "I am attempting, if you will allow, to regain my bearings."

"Your bearings?" Will snapped at Jack, crossing his arms over his chest and staring at him rather venemously. He wanted to be left alone. That had been the entire point of allowing the pirate to 'escort' him back to his home.
