I looked at her a little oddly as stood up from my pack and said,"Are you sure Beth you've only met me a short while ago, I could prove to be a savage blood thirsty beast and besides have you no family members at your home to ask consent? I would not like to cause stress or make anyone feel uncomfortable in their own home. After all one should not have to face stress in one's own household."

"No one should be left without a place to rest their head. And, if you didn't mind, it would give me a chance to learn more about preternaturals..." Bethany said, shockign herself with how brave she was being. "And I live alone." she concluded quickly.

"Well if you think it's alright and if it will benefit your curiosity then I accept. But please for future reference you should be very careful with mythical beings like me. If you ever think you might be in danger from me don't hesitate to do what ever you can to get away." I told her as I picked up my pack took out my favorite long coat and slipped it on. "Well lead the way Miss Beth." I said as I held open the door for her and bowed slightly.

"i'm be sure to run really fast and scream very loudly." she said with a shy smile before picking up her book and heading back out into the rain. "The gate... shoudl be unlocked now... right?" she asked, hunching over to protect her book from getting wet.

Julia looked back quickly to give the wraith a quick, shy smile, before running for the gate. She didn't even think to ask Josh for a coat as she stopped to push the gate open, sneezing once more. Oh, she was going to feel like crap later...

I sat back against a far wall, as I watched a girl come and leave with Joshua. Once more, I had yet to know what I should do. The lady who had welcomed me into this manor had disappeared, so until she returns here I shall stay

I noticed Beth sneeze as she opened the gate taking one last look at the inside of the manor I nodded to Mr. Spyridon, and said to Adele,"I'm sorry I can't stay Miss Adele but I shall be back after all, I have much to ask of the hostess and perhaps make more friends with all of you." With that I took off outside catching up to the young woman. "Here I would hate for you to get sick after just meeting a lycan." I said while tossing my other coat over her shoulders. Then I followed her.

"Thanks." Beth said, stoppign just a moment to pull the coat tightly around her. "But what about you? Oh... right... lycans don't get sick from normal things like colds, right?" she asked as she walked off of the estate and onto the sidewalk. "My house is... 3 blocks down and 4 up... I hope that's not too far..." she said. She then inhaled sharply and squeezed ehr eyes shut for a moment before slowly exhaling, as if trying to keep from sneezing again.

I looked at the clouds while rain poured on my face. "No it's not to far at all actually." I followed her in silence for a little while until I decided to ask her some things that had me a bit curious. "So Beth is that book something of importance to you?" I indicated the book she had been taking extra care of.

"I... have a fondness for books. Especially techinical books. I borrowed this one from the library, I don't want to return it damaged. It's about quantum physics. Some people think that quantum physics are the gateway to breaking beyound the rules of time and space, and may one day allow us to travel to distant stars and galaxy." she said. She suddenly stopped talking and blushed. "I'm sorry... I usually don't talk so much... most people find me... boring, I guess..." she apologized and then fell silent as she reached the end of the third block. She stopped, and looked left, then right, then left again, presumebly to check for cars on the road, before starting to cross the street.

I chuckled after she fell silent. "It sounds interesting, is there anything else you can tell me about it?" I asked with interest. I looked ahead as I waited for her to tell me more about the subject. I thought I saw a familiar face down one street but I decided it couldn't be them.

Bethany actually stopped mid-step for a moment, before talking again. "Well, most of it is really just theories. Especially since they haven't figured out how to get past the time-space paradox yet. Quantum physics si such a new science, that many are still scoffing at it. But the book says that if a device could be built that worked on quantum physics instead of traditional physics, they could not only travel great distances in a short amount of time, but could also stop travling through time in a linear process... in short, they could travel to the past or the future. If it really worked, someone could literally be anywhere at anytime. The only problem would be the time paradox. If you change one small thing... you could drastically alter the timeline. And then you may not exist, which means you didn't change the timeline, which sets you back up for changing it, leaving everything in a never-ending loop." she said, in one long leangthy diatribe. She stopped as she realized they had actually walked past her house. "Oh geez, I did it again..." she turned around. "Third house down... sorry..." she mumbled.

I laughed a bit as she mumbled sorry. "No need to be sorry Beth, that is actually very interesting and us missing your home just means that you had more time to explain it to me." I grinned widely as she led me to her home. "So what other things interest you Beth?" I asked hoping I wasn't prying to much into her personal business.

Bethany grinned as she walked back to her house, pulling her keys out of her pocket. "Everything." she admitted with a slight blush. "You'll see what I mean in a moment. If I new ahead of time that I was going to have company, I would have cleaned or something first..." she said sheepishly. She then opened the door. There were bookshelves all against the walls of the livingroom, filled to the brim with books. And there were stacks of books all over the floor, small trails through the piles that people could walk through to get to the other rooms. From the spines that were visable on the books, she was reading just about every nonfiction subject known to mankind, but the largest collection was on biology, mostly preternatural biology.
