"True, just not the children," Lore replied with a small smile, "It'll be nice to stay with Elrohir and Haradhel again, then we can go and visit Ulrich and Ulani."

Maybe even see how Adonai, Shael, Aliya and Amdir were doing as well, along with their children, or see if there were any new children.

Lore hurried along, but let Elnara continue tugging him, leading him along. His feet hit the hard marble flooring as they re-entered the building, making their way to the hall.

"We'll make it, don't worry."

There was a chuckle coming from behind Celebor as Yuki appeared right on time and utterly amused. Though one had to wonder when the normally cross dressing man was not amused. After all this was the guy who had to be yanked into line (preferably by the ponytail) by his girlfriend.

"Lore? Late? Pigs would fly first... though...."
"Yuki don't you dare go into how there could be flying pigs, this is not Gaia," Lore interrupted before his assistant could go on a rant how most of the 'never would happen sayings were not correct'.

Just then the queen came out of the Banquet Hall, her face slightly flushed from the excitement of the day.

"Ah, there you are!" she smiled at Lore and Elnara. "Good. Everyone is ready, everything is ready ... now, you four will be sitting at the head table - Celebor, I've arranged for Aras to join you, she's quite annoyed that she can't see you very much today ... Reave and I will sit with Serenity and Ga- Beren ..."

She laughed softly. "Still. Ah well. At any rate, it's time. Just come in when you hear yourselves announced."

And she turned and headed once more into the Banquet Hall.

Only the head table was the same as it had always been (though it had also been decorated); the rest of the tables, which normally ran along the walls, had been removed, replaced with smaller round tables, each of which sat eight people.

Beren, Serenity, Reave Sr, Amalthea, Arden, Wren and the queen were at the table nearest the head table, but the queen, rather than sitting at her table, stood at the end of the head table, raising one hand to get everyone's attention - quite a task, considering the number and personalities of the people whose attention she was trying to attract.

Once she did have everyone's attention though, she lowered her arm and smiled brightly.

"Family," she said loudly, "friends ... it is time to begin our feast ... but first we will introduce those who took part in the wedding today. As best man, Yuki - a human from Gaia, Lore's assistant at the library where he works."

There was a smattering of applause as they waited for Yuki to enter and take his place at the far left of the table.

Once Yuki was seated, Atalya smiled once more and went on.

"Giving away the bride today is Celebor, Elnara's own son, her eldest. He has his own family in yet another world and is here with his daughter, Aras, and he participates in the slaver hunts in the Borderlands."

More applause rippled through the room.

Atalya smiled.

"And last but far from least," she continued happily, "the bride and groom themselves - Elnara and Lore Aldrich Winters!"

This time she led in the applause and motioned for everyone to rise to their feet to greet the newly wed couple when they entered.
