Nathan sighed. They needed the blood, they were poor and they were desperate. Killing was their last option, and to get blood, Nathan would have to resort to it. "Alright. I'm with you." He said as he followed Alaric. "I'll follow your lead, Al. I don't do well with confronting humans." He shied away some.

Alice's jaw clenched together, near crushing her teeth. Once Alec had pulled back she spat in his face. He was right, she did feel a passionate hatred. But the satisfaction she would have when his precious curse was ripped from him at her hands was enough to make her smile.
Alec stared down at her, his hand nearly breaking her jaw. She began to laugh. Starting out as a chuckle and growing until she was almost mad with laughter.
Alec wiped her spit from his cheek as he glared down at her. Clearly doubting her sanity, but was unsure if he was pleased about it. His grip loosened on her jaw, allowing her to laugh more heartily. Frowning, Alec stood and brushed his deep maroon pants off.

((( Tries to revive the Cure gonk ))) Jasper was startled awake by a crashing noise. His eyes flew open, and for a terrifying moment he thought he saw her. His hand clenched into a fist and he almost snarled.
“So, what’s the status?”
The familiar voice soothed him, allowing him to really focus on the strange face and recognize it.
“Syvra,” he breathed. The short period of sleep had helped him a lot; his voice was already much softer, though nowhere near his old tone. “You look…different.”
He smiled grimly, but the expression melted as quickly as it had come. Her phone call confused him, but he decided against questioning her. “Our status….well, we aren’t doing so great, as you can see.” Jasper gestured around the room to indicate the few remaining people and the condition they were in. “So if you have a plan, I’d be happy to hear it.”
Jasper looked down and noticed Jess asleep on his chest for the first time. His hand went to her face and stroked her cheek as gently as he could with his trembling fingers. She didn’t deserve this life, he thought. She didn’t deserve the pain and suffering. He would fight to get the Cure back, if only for her.
“I’d like to strike today,” he mumbled, not wanting to wake Jess. “Or early tomorrow. It’s not too late.” He looked up at Syvra, staring into her eyes intently.
“You were there,” Jasper said in a strong but quiet voice. “You know what must be done…that we must kill her to be Cured.” He shook his head. “I don’t want to do it. I will if I have to, but…I would prefer if you did it.”

Alec shook his head.
“How sad to see one so young lose her head…and at a time like this!” He wagged a finger at her small figure on the floor as though scolding her. “You really must pull yourself together. These are hard times. Now!” he said, his expression suddenly changing. “Where were we? Ah yes, our food has arrived.” He walked over to the table, plucking something up and tossing it into his mouth. He swallowed it hard and made a face. “I do hope you enjoy this more than I do…” He smiled at some joke Alice didn’t get.
Alec trotted back over to her side, and without warning bent down and lifted her up. She started to kick and struggle against him, but he ignored her and brought her over to the elegant crimson sofa. With a smile Alec dropped her onto it.
“Stay put,” he said, sounding like he was talking to a punished child.
He nodded and made his way back over to the table. After musing over the selections for at least a minute he finally decided on what he wanted and piled it high onto a plate. He walked over to Alice’s side and set down the food at the table there. “Eat and enjoy. You need your strength.” Once again there was that mocking smile.
Alec plopped down in a chair across from her- the one holding the dresses- and nodded encouragingly. “After this you may try on some of these fine clothes. I don’t why Logan ever though it was okay to let you walk around in those rags…they look atrocious.”

Jess smiled slightly in her sleep at the sound of Jasper's raspy voice. It may have been a lot rougher than it used to be but it was still her Jasper. Then he started to stroke her cheek with his shaky fingers. Her eyes began to open her eyes when he began to speak in a hushed tone. "I'd like to strike today or early tomorrow. It's not too late...You were there. You know what must be done...that we must kill her to be cured." She felt his head shake. "I dont' want to do it. I will if I have to, but...I would prefer if you did it." Jess slowly opened her eyes, "Alice..has to be killed?" she looked away.
"If it's her life for my old life back.. I don't know if I want to do it.. sure. It would be safer. Sure I would be happier and Jasper would be more likely to stay.. but..to take someones life that I've already connected with...I don't know if I can.." She picked up her head carefully and looked at Syvra. "Isn't there another way to be cured, Syvra.. Can't we just..drink her blood or something?" Jess then looked to Jasper, not knowing what to say or do. She just knew that she wouldn't be able to kill Alice. Even if it would win back their human lives.

((( Yeah, I know what you mean and I completely understand. No worries, I know who stayed and who didn't. And yes, you pretty much are the last Rouge. >_>
I'm going to give this a few days, maybe. If nothing happens to get it going I'm gonna have to pronounce this thing dead. )))
