((I hate to say it, but it does seem a bit OOC to me for Seto to just comfort Yuugi like that. ^^;;
Course, that's just MY opinion. razz
BTW... where's everyone else? Are you guys waiting for us to finish this up and just lurking, or what?))

Yuugi made no reply, not knowing what to do. It seemed like the world had spun upside down- he had lost his other half, hadn't come to terms with THAT yet, tried to get away only to run into Seto... who was acting utterly, unpredictably strange for him, and unpredictable in general for that matter...
He didn't know what to think, and all he had wanted was to be alone.
Yuugi bit his lip, another sound tugging at his throat, as his body reacted to the stress, confusion, pain he was feeling in the natural way it did so- breath hitching with the sobbing Yuugi fought.
He didn't want to cry, didn't want to be weak. Even at the end he had cried, and it felt like he had let his other half down by doing so. He couldn't even see him off with dry eyes....

That was it, Yuugi broke down. All the thigns he had been thinking about, resisting, fighting.... even with Seto there, he couldn't do it ******** Kaiba, if he didn't want to leave, he didn't have to. But Yuugi couldn't hold it all in anymore.....

((Well, I at least have been lurking, since it would be awkward for Jounouchi or Anzu to do anything right now since Malik was the last one addressed in our area. ^^;; ))

(Whoops. I'm trying. sweatdrop )

He sighed as he rubbed his cerulean eyes, a little frustrated at the pace things were moving at. Knowing he could do nothing now, Seto merely stood up, brushing himself off, and tossed a tissue to Yuugi.

"You did what you had to do. Get it out and get over it." With that blunt advice (if you could call it that) he turned to leave, trying his best to ignore the other boy's tears. He couldn't do anything, he knew that. So why stay now? And he'd be damned if he lost control and went to comfort him again. One act of kindness a week was good enough for him.

As Seto walked off to find another part of the park to rest in, he glanced back quickly. He almost felt sorry for Yuugi. Losing anything was bound to mess you up.

(Well, Yuugi really wouldn't have much else to say, methinks. So I guess we'll wait on Malik and for you guys to settle that situation. Tis ADK's turn to lurk now. XD)

(Agh--School has ruined my Gaia life. I cant be on at all on weekdays. Thats why I've been so..not posting-ish. D' smile

Lilac eyes blinked several times at the response for Jou and Ryou. They actually...wanted him to stay? Letting out a nervous laugh, the Egyptian slowly nodded his head.
"Uhm...Okay, sure." he replied rather meekly; it was akward being around the people he manipulated so much in Battle City. At least they were forgiving.

"What should we do about Yuugi?" he asked, eyes wandering down to the area the smaller teen ran off to.

((It's understandable; school is evil...))
Jounouchi sighed looking down, "He said he wanted to be alone... so we should just let him get his thoughts together..." he said with a frown. Anzu frowned as well, "I hope Yuugi will be okay..."

Ryou tilted his head. Manipulation, so not a big deal, he didn't even remember Battle City at this point. "We should just let him alone," he spoke softly, smiling at Malik.

Malik nodded at Jou's answer, glancing at Ryou as his soft, quiet voice carried toward his ears. He grinned back, making quick eye contact before shyly looking back down at the ground.

No matter how he looked at it, this situation couldnt be any more akward.

"I'm sure he'll be okay." he replied to Anzu.

((ZOMG! Ohkami lives! heart

Well, actually, she's lived for a couple of days now, but had a lot of reading to do. sweatdrop

I'm going to semi-recycle my first couple of posts from reviving Atemu, since my half of the story technically didn't change at all, and I really liked them ^^;. But I'll change them around a bit to incorporate ADK's idea with the sennen items.

One thing I'm confused on thus far though; didn't Kaiba know about what transpired with the ceremonial battle? I mean, he was there, and he offered to be the one to duel Atemu, so I'm a little confused as to why he's sort of clueless of it. But that's ok.))

Onuris Zahur sat perfectly still at his desk, his mind buzzing with anticipation. This was it, for years he had waited and prepared for this day. Endless, grueling hours of work; and now everything was falling into place. The seven items had been the most difficult piece of the equation to locate, but by a streak of luck they had all been placed together in one location for him to collect. And the wait was well worth it; for hopefully there presence would make the whole operation run smoother, the final product more powerful. Now, the final peice was being put into place. All that was left to ressurect his creation: the soul. His dark brown eyes stared intently at the view screen, all was still quiet in the room, nothing had happened yet. There were scientist, operating the machines that would summon him, as well as watching through the one-way window to make closer observations. The window was made of indestructible glass, he would be completely under their control once awoken, but you still could never be too careful.

Suddenly the lights in the room flashed to unbareable brightness, then dimmed down to absolute dark. Although his body remained poised and still, completely dignified, Onuris was beaming on the inside. Out of the shadows, he could just barely see a figure rising, and moving towards the window. For a moment, he even swore he saw a pair of crimson eyes stare directly at him. It may have merely been a video image, but the gaze was still piericing.

Slowly, the figure approached the window. From his side it was tinted too dark to see, as well as sound proof, but he still somehow seemed fully aware of what was going on on the other side. Upon reaching his destination, he reached a hand up and pressed it against the glass. The scientist simply watched in amazement, as the hand began to be surrounded by swirling purple and black shadows. The shadow pulsated across the window until, without warning the glas exploded, sending shards of glass everywhere, breaking machinery and impaling scientists in it's wake.

The figured stepped through the window-turned-door, and into the well lit observatory. His skin was dark, and his eyes piercing red. A golden pendant hung from his neck, shaped like an upside down pyramid. His hair, unruly and spiked, was three-colors: black with blood red at the tips, blonde bangs. Atemu.

A smirk graced Onuris' lips. It was official, they had done it. Atemu had been ressurected, and in merely thirty seconds had already proven powerful enough to break the highest quality indestructible glass money could buy.

A voice came over the speaker on his desk. Sir, the ressurection was a success, but three of our men in the observatory room were badly injured by the glass. One looks like he may not make it through the injuries.

"It doesn't matter," He replied, pressing down the talk button on the speaker. His tone was icy, void of any emotion, "One man is a small price to pay for the entire world."

Ryou cocked his head shyly at Malik's quick glance. It was kinda cute. He nodded softly at the general situation, before finding his shoes highly entertaining.

Malik wanted to lurt out, 'So now what?', but found it to be a rather rude thing to say, so he shuffled his shoes quietly.

After a few more silent moments, he just couldnt handle it.

"So...what do we think we should do now? I suppose Yugi wants to be alone." he commented quietly.

((Hey, welcome back Ohkami! heart Glad to have you back. And to answer your question, this rp is going by the manga instead of the anime. In the manga Kaiba was in America at the time of the Final Duel, so he wasn't there to witness anything. That's why he doesn't know what is going on. ^^))
Anzu gave a slight nod after Malik's reassurance, "Yes, thank you Malik..."
After Malik's question, Jounouchi shrugged, "We could just start walking somewhere instead of standing here. Maybe we'll find something to do on the way." he suggested.

Malik nodded. "Yeah, I suppose so." he said.

"What place do you have in mind?" he asked, continuin to shuffle his feet absentmindedley.

((Thanks for the clarification, Kistune. I must have missed the note about this being manga based sweatdrop . And I've only seen the anime version of the ceremonial duel.

But this is the last post I'm going to shamelessly knick off of the original RP. It's actually two posts "condensed" into one, so that I can get back into really roleplaying again instead of copy pasting. But from here on, I'm probably going to need someone like ADK to play random ATZ corp members again, so I have people to interact with. ^^; ))

Atemu stepped through the window out into the observatory. He looked around; everywhere there was broken mahcinery, shards of glass, pools of blood, injured bodies and overall, utter chaos. All his doing. He smirked at his work, he sure had caught these people, whoever they were, by surprise. Now all that was left was the problem of where he was and how he got there. He had been sleeping. But how long had he slept? He had a feeling it was a long time. Now he was in this strange laboratory type place. What was most odd was, this place felt strangely familiar, though he didn't remember ever actually being there.

He felt a hand on his shoulder, and his body went rigid. He turned sharply around, ready to kill whoever it was that had dared to touch him. But he stopped just before dealing the blow. He took in this man; white coat, clip board, black hair and brown eyes, and a thick smell of chemicals and disinfectants. He could not kill this man, this man was one of his masters. masters. The word felt awkward to him, even moreso did the thought that someone had control over him. But he knew these men were masters, they always had been. Perhaps his long sleep had discombobulated him? His arms fell to his sides and his muscled slacked. There was no need to uphold his offensive position, he could not fight these people.

"Well, I see you've finally figured out where you are," The man said, a clearly fake smile crossing his face, "You caused quite a bit of damage in here, but that's alright. We expected you to be a little confused when you first woke up, and it's nothing we can't fix." Atemu could tell the man was lying, and that the damge most definitely was worrying him. But he didn't voice his suspicions, if his masters felt the need to lie to him, then they had every right to.

"Let's go," the white coat continued, "I'm sure Mr. Zahur is anxious to meet you."

The white coat led Atemu out of the observatory and into the sea of people that had developed around the door.People were staring at him in awe and amazement, or with looks of absolute joy on their faces. Some were whispering at ninety miles a minute to the person next to them, while others were left completely speechless.

He was led quickly through the mob and into an elevator. The white coat pressed a button indicating that they would be going to the top floor, the only one above ground. The elevator 'dinged' to a stop and the door slid open. They stepped out into the sunlight upper level, it took Atemu's eyes a moment or two to adjust to the harsh light. Then they were on their way down a long hallway.

When they reached the door the white coat issued for Atemu to enter, apparently he would be the only one going in. He opened the door and stepped inside to find himself in a massive office. Sitting in a finished oak desk in the back of the room was a man that could only be Onuris Zahur. The head of the company. The man in charge of all the men in charge. Atemu was fairly surprised that he had been brought to see him so soon. First the overly excited crowd outside the door, and now a private meeting with the Head CEO. Was he really that important?

"Hello, Atemu." Onuris said, his voice, posture and basically everything else about him 100% professional.

"H-hello." Atemu replied. The word seemed to be a little difficult coming to him, and he realized it was the first time he had spoken since he had awakened.

"How are you feeling?" Atemu didn't respond to this question. He wasn't really sure how to, since 'confused' didn't seem like the appropriate response, but he couldn't find a word that would better describe how he felt. Onuris seemed unbothered by the lack of response. "Well, I'm gald to see that you are alright...Hanif!" As he called the name, the scientist who had brought Atemu here entered the room.

"Yes, sir?"

"Atemu here seems to be in fine condition. I think he is ready to start his training. Bring him down to the game room. We will start by testing his mental prowess there. Only the strongest opponents you can find for him."

Yes, sir. Right away." The scientist, Hanif, ushered Atemu back out of the room. Atemu just walked on, even more confused than he had been before. training?
