John looked at Noko. She didn't need to say anything to him. He knew what had happened. He set his bookbag down and laid back on the bed.

"Oh boy... you're marrying flame boy? Best of luck to you for that then... and yeah, I guess I'll come." Regina blinked at the phone. "Was that reese? He's there now?"

Noko turned her back to reese for a moment. " yeah. that was him. Wanna talk to him?" This was going to be the hard part. She watched john take off his bookbag and sit down on the bed again. Right now thats where she wanted to be. curled up in bed. " And yes we are getting married."

TNL gulped upon hearing the institute and 'is that Reese' mentioned so closely during the conversation. I probably shouldn't listen, but I can't very well close my ears. He quickly picked up the small mess in the kitchen and walked back out of the kitchen.

"Your life... I don't understand love just yet so I don't know how it feels or why you're doing it. Best of luck though..." Regina sighed, watching TNL leave the room. He can't be jealous... can he? "Yeah, put him on... just to try and reassure him somehow."

" Ok here hold on. " Putting the phone against her chest she looked reese directly into his eyes. " Its regina. She has something to tell you but i swear if you go bezerk and break things your in for it. Not by me and john but wandas next door " she knew wandas temper and her peace and quiet be interupted hell would be paid. She handed the phone to reese and sat down next to john.

Reese accepted the phone when Noko handed it to him and put it to his ear. "Regina?" he said tentetively (SP).

Reese chuckled nervously at the question. "Not exactly," he answered honestly. "I've been worried about you. You've been gone a long time to have been out with a stranger. Where are you?"

"Don't freak out... but the Xavier Institute." Regina answered, looking back at TNL. "The brotherhood is an okay group, but I don't know the full extent of my powers and it's so disorganized. I just don't feel like I'd get to train or anything there... most of the group wants to be lone wolves..."

Suddenly feeling playful she crawled into johns lap. Looking down at the ring on her finger she smiled. Then a thought hit her. " John where did you get this. " She asked a smile still on her face. She had a feeling he held up a jewelry store or robbed another bank.

Silence reigned on Reese's end of the line. she was where? "The Xavier Institute? You're joining the X-Men? did that guy brain-wash you?!"

"No... no brainwashing involved..." Regina sighed some. "It's something I"ve been thinking about for a while. Pyro as a leader just doesn't bring the group together. Not even setting up training sessions to get us to learn our abilities to the fullest. I want to know what I'm capable of, how to control it more... Though I still don't think humans are ever going to coexist with us."
She felt the need to add that. For anyone in the room or on the other end of the phone, maybe as a reasurrance for Reese himself.

John smiled and gave her a hug. "Well I don't know how to classify that. ...Hmm I guys you can say..well we can technically say it came from the bank. I bought with the bank money I had leftover, from when I'd gotten the hummer. I was gonna ask you then, but then we just had all those lovely problems that put it out of my head."

Reese didn't know what to say. Did that mean they were enemies now? Did it even matter? It's not as if they could have been anything more than friends anyway. He had absolutely no control over his power and he had a brief flashback to the last time he'd had a girlfriend, making his knees shake, and he found a chair. When he spoke again, his voice shook. "Well, I guess it's for the best..."
