Research and New Faces Junyi Little Caroline's first visit to the GMFC. It was something that Luna might've considered to be a milestone, if her attention weren't currently focused on the dull pain of the healing incision on her abdomen. Ten pounds. Caroline was born at over ten pounds. How the hell did Luna manage to carry her at all? None of that really mattered right now. They were in the clinic, and, as usual, they were to wait. Luna with Caroline wrapped snugly in her arms, and Caroline with her face buried in her mother's chest, unwilling to face the overwhelming size of the clinic. And Jokeph, the ever-present guardian, sitting uncharacteristically close to both of them. Surion Rakamash He was dressed for work, all be it he'd gotten off work only a few hours previous. He wore a heavier coat for the weather which he currently had zipped all the way up. He pushed he way into the clinic pulling off his helmet as he came so he could shake his hair loose, which promptly fell over half of his face, and kicking residue off his boots, he didn't want to make any messes here, it was a clinic after all. He'd not been there since shortly after he and Nani started to date, and now he was even older and had other agendas then simply visiting and seeing who all was around. Junyi "Mfff," Caroline declared, burrowing even more tightly against Luna as she perceived Surion's intrusion into her peace and quiet. Luna, however, raised her head to peer at Surion, eyebrows raised. There was something about him she found familiar, though she knew full well his was a mind she'd never been introduced to. She sent a bleary, sleepy projection of greeting at him; a small mental poke to see if he would be able to understand her. Surion Rakamash Surion looks around rather briefly, seemed like something was nudging at him though he did not place who or where it was coming from, a brow raised slightly, more curious then anything "Hey there" he greets moving into the clinic and dropping his helm on a chair, his tail moved to rest loosely around his legs as he unzipped his coat and shrugged it off, it was warm enough in the building he didn't need or want it. His eyes landed on the infant in the arms of hte one he saw in the room and a small smile formed... Junyi Hello, Luna answered a bit awkwardly, head tilting to the side as she regarded Surion. If this were any other day, she might've approached him and started asking questions about why he seemed familiar. But with a newborn baby, she had to admit she felt a little self-conscious. And the attention Caroline was suddenly getting was making her obviously uncomfortable; with a small whimper, she turned her face away from Surion, her tail twitching underneath the blanket she was swaddled in. Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania steps into the clinic pushing her hand through her hair. She was actually stopping by only for a moment to grab a few items for her mother. She was grumbling like she always did this early in the morning before heading off to work. Cause see even though she didn't have to teach classes she had a lesson plan she needed to get turn in. Rubbing at her eyes she doesn't even notice anyone as she walks over to the counter. All she had to do was get those two book, then head back to the estate to the school. Surion Rakamash This only caused his brow to raise a touch more as his eyes left hte infant and returned to Luna. He had had 'voices' in his head before but certainly not by another person. He looks back at the coat which now had a small head poking out of it's depths where Senti had 'nested' in a warm pocket while Surion was riding.
After a moment he looks back at Luna "Uhm cool, yeah..." While he felt to some extent at ease here he was a bit nervous about his plans of what he wanted to find out "Cute little one, just one in your clutch I presume" he nods and lazily holds a hand out towards his coat without looking at it for Senti to escape it's folds."Senti warm senti like riding there" the little dragonette was chittering in his head and he was just about completely ignoring hte extra familiar voice A familiar scent and Surion turns his head "Mela?" it wasn't someone he'd expected to be there Junyi ...Clutch? Luna's confusion was plainly visible on her face. ... I don't understand. All right, NOW Caroline was curious now that yet another person was invading her exceptionally large "bubble". Were she older, perhaps Sun Tzu would have been going through her mind. "Know your enemy and yourself..." A pair of alien, near-solid brown eyes peered out from Luna's chest. confused Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania frowns before glancing over, it wasn't that she didn't want to see Surion. Just after getting all this time off from work only to have to return wasn't something that made her a morning person. Walking over slowly she wraps her arms around his waist before resting her head on his back " I don't want to go to work." Lifting her head she glances at the other two giving them a nod before she looks at the other man. Tilitng her head she arches a brow " Jokeph? Is that you?" she turns looking back at the woman looking at her carefully. She knew her, she knew she did. She just couldn't place the name. Surion Rakamash Surion smiles softly and his tail moves to loops loosely around her as she held him from behind, it wouldn't inhibit her movement and would fall away should she move away, but it was easier then trying to reach behind himself with his arms, which he instead rested and gve a softs squeeze to her hands instead.
After a moment he responds to the question "Clutch.. it's what my people call having children..." Senti comes to a rest on his shoulder but out of Nani's way and grows silent feeding slightly off some of Surion's excess energy
Surion looks towards the male Nani adresses, the guy had been quiet to that time well technically most of the building had... out loud that is. Junyi Jokeph's head snapped up, regarding Tinania with curiosity. She knew him by name, but it was taking him quite some time to place hers. However, it would be rude to not reply. "Yes, it is I," he signed, hands a flurry of motion. "But I don't remember your name." Do you need me to translate that? Luna projected to both, her lips pursed in thought. I don't know if you know sign language. And... Her face flushed involuntarily as she stared down at Caroline, eyes locking for a moment. Yes. She's my daughter.Back into the folds of Luna's shirt Caroline went. Nooooo! Caroline didn't want to be the center of attention! gonk Krista_Darkangel_Silme Stepping away from Surion, Tinania actually smiles even if she was still in need of sleep " Its me Tinania, I met you when I was a teen." she had a feeling many of the people who she knew wouldn't reconzine her. She hadn't come around the clinic much since her growing. Tinania looks over at Luna watching her hands for a moment before she smiles " Aww she shy isn't she? Surion you should play nice." she was jesting with him as she study Luna for a moment. She couldn't place it, but she knew this young woman. Shaking her head she glances back at Jokeph " So how are you?" her wings flutter slightly behind her as she cover her mouth yawning for a moment. Surion Rakamash Surion chuckles "Play nice... ok mela" and his eyes immediately shift green and he creates a ball of water that above his hand changes shape, and again and again slowly from things like a balan, to a heart to other simple things. Course he doubted it's what she meant but he was in a good mood.
He was quiet for a time letting her reaquaint with people she knew and had not seen for a while. "Little one ... that one is yes yes Senti thinks very little" Senti continued his chittering in Surion's head as he usually did Junyi Well, this was something Luna simply didn't "get." But she did smile appreciatively and nod, attempting to dislodge Caroline long enough to get her to look at the pretty water. But Caroline wouldn't budge. DO NOT WANT. stressed Torvil Torvil entered the Clinic slowly, his eyes looking around for familiar faces. It had been a long time since he'd come here, and it'd been a long time since he'd seen or talked to his son. In truth, he was worried about his son's welfare, as well, the split betwen Torvil and Surion's mother had not gone particularly well. Torvil had though his request reasonable, but it turned out it had not been, and things had fallen apart, but... That was something he didn't feel like dwelling on at the moment, and he wanted to talk to his son, he wanted him to know that his father had not forgotten him, and that his father still loved him. When he spoted Surion speaking with another group of people, as well as the ever recognizable Tinania, he smiled, and slowly started to approch, not speaking yet. Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania chuckles before she glances at ehr watch. Eye widening she frowns "I'm gonna be late." pulling out a pen and paper she writes her number before handing it to Jokeph " We need to catch up my friend. It was nice to see you again." turning Tinania nodding to the young woman and her child "It was nice to meet you. Maybe if I had more time we could hang out." Turning towards Surion, Tinania eyes fell on the man behind him. She didn't show any emotion that she was shock to see him. Only a smile appear upon her face. Leaning up she give Surion a quick kiss on the lips " I need to head to work love. I'll be home early tonight." stepping away from him she makes her way to the counter grabbing the books her mother wanted. Heading toward Torvil she stops to look at him for a monent. She miss talkign to him, and if she had the chance she would have now. Wrapping her arms around Torvil for a moment she hug him close then kisses his cheek " Its good to see you father. We need to catch up sometime soon." pulling away she bow before making her way back out of the clinic. As much as she love to stay and catch up with family as well as friend. Work came first and it was just somethign she had to do. Surion Rakamash Surion smiles and the water evaporates, if the child didn't want to see he was fine with that "She's cute, maybe one day she'll let me show her". His eyes shifted blue once more as he returns Nani's kiss as she turned to leave, "sounds good Nani, I'll be waiting for you" he watches her hurry off and freezes slightly when he hears Nani adress someone as 'father' and then he notices the familiar scent and turns his head "Dad" he said, whlie shock wasnt on Nani's face it certainly was written all over Surion's face. Junyi This was something that perhaps Luna wasn't supposed to be present for. She could feel herself tense as a feeling of awkwardness rippled through her body, and then-- "--MooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOO!" wailed Caroline, the bovine cry erupting like an explosive volcano. She'd had enough with the comings and goings and awkwardness and shock and--!!! Excuse me. With Jokeph's assistance, Luna and the wailing baby shuffled toward Dr. Haladet's office. Torvil "Hello Surion," Torvil said, trying to keep his voice steady and familiar, and not slip into a formal address, this was his son he was talking to, not his neighbor. "I trust that you are well?" He asked, his voice starting to strain a little, slowly getting used to talking in informal phrases. It had been a long time, and suffice it to say, Torvil was a bit on edge, he didn't know how well Surion had taken the split. "How is your mother?" A polite question, the true fact of the matter was, that Torvil had moved on, but it would be good to at least feign interest in Ala's health. Surion Rakamash "Yeah, I'm ok, Nani returned, and has her memories back... And we have started to talk about a family..." Surion loops his thumbs into his beltloops looking at his dad, of whom he was no longer shorter then. "Mom is ok, she went back to the city..." Truth was his mom had not said two words to him about his dad since her return from the city, neither good nor bad. "Sought out the Wisens there... something she needed to do for her own sanity" His voice normal, he certainly hadn't expected his father to appear anywhere but wasn't telling everthing about his mom either, he pushes his long hair out of his face and over his ear and nods. Torvil Torvil nodded slowly, he understood, Surion was his mother's child, and Torvil was not going to go and jeapordize that. He smiled again. "Yes, I kind of noticed that when she hugged me and called me father, and that's wonderful news," He said with a slightly bowed head. The fact that Ala had gone back to her people in regards to her mental health began to make certain puzzle pieces fall together in Torvil's mind. He had a mental ephiphany, and wondered if Ala had alway been crazy or if it was just a recent thing. Either way, he wasn't going to push the issue, after all, mental problems ARE genetic. Last thing he needed was to trigger his own son into a breakdown. Hearing a bovine cry Torvil's head snapped in the direction of the moving child and he relaxed, he hoped he had not caused that, but he was rather sure he hadn't, he looked around for the parent's of the child, but assumed the man with it was the father. Surion Rakamash "Least she gets out of the house and does stuff now, and has gotten on with life... Anyways uhm what brings you here? I thought you weren't leaving the cliffs anymore" He wanted to draw the conversation away from his mother, his tail moved around his legs and he tips his head slightly to one side as Senti slinks down his shoulder and wraps himself around his bonded's upper arm Torvil Torvil drew his attention back to his son and he was more than glad to let the conversation change, he didn't much care as to what was going on in Ala's life, she'd made her choice, and she would have to live with it. It was no skin off of Torvil's nose. "Well, truth to tell, I came to see how you were doing. I don't know who implied I was going never leave the cliffs, as well, lets be honest, there is only so much one can do there," He laughed weakly. "Though, things are far better now than they ever have been, so I can't complain." He shook his head slowly. "I also came because I wanted to let you know that I haven't abandoned you, you are still my son, even if your mother and I aren't together anymore," Good riddance to that... a particularly bitter part of Torvil chirped in his head. It had been a rough transistion but Torvil was good now, and he was working hard for his people and he felt rather well taken care of, he'd not gone looking for a new mate, but that would come in time. "So, how are things?" Surion Rakamash "Good, working hard, taking care of things around the house... that kind of thing, I just make sure Nani is provided for and all..." he pauses "How's granddad and grandma, and all the others" he couldn't help but wonder about them, after all they had been a large part of his life for so long and he no longer even heard from them. He had begun to feel... forgotten by them for lack of any other description Torvil Torvil's face slowly started to grow grim. "Your aunts and uncles and cousins are well Surion." Torvil said, and then decided to drop the bombshell. "Your grandparent's passed last week," He said with a slow bow of his head. "It was unfortuanate, but once your grandfather died, your grandmother just didn't have the heart to go on. They were burried yesterday." He said with a final tone. "It'd good that you are well though, and I am glad to hear that you are taking good care of Nani, she is a very special woman." Surion Rakamash Surion staggers a little... dead... two people he very much cared for were dead... he stared at his father for a long time "Dead... buried yesterday... " and then something hit him, something he didn't expect... a touch of anger "Guess you had no intentions of telling me... not unless I asked..." there was no anger in his voice however, it was completely even and he'd yet to quit looking at his father Torvil Torvil shrugged. "It really all depended on how things went in the conversation I suppose, for all I know, you wouldn't have wanted to talk to me because your mother may have attempted to color your judgement of me," He knew Ala wasn't above that, he knew that all too well. "But yes, they're dead, and in a much better place now, we didn't know my father was hiding his condition until it was too late, and by the time we found out, he had already died from his heart attack, there was nothing we could do. " Torvil refused to sigh. Instead he reached into his pocket and pulled out his watch, checking the time. "I have to go," He said with a strong voice. "I have a few more places to be, and a few of them close in an hour, and I need to give myself time to get there, sorry to have to run so soon after dropping such terrible news on you, but. Well, I guess life just isn't fair," Torvil said as he started to turn on his heel. "It was nice to talk to you again Surion," and he started to head for the door. Surion Rakamash "Yes life isn't fair... even for you" he frowns his happy day turning sour... And his father's obvious hatred and attempt to color Surion's own feelings which were his own and noone elses upset him. He turned away from his father and headed for the counter, he had things he wanted to find out... And now was the time, and with that he dropped his hand ont eh bell not looking towards the retreating male again Lillian Haladet Despite the sound of Caroline wailing in her office and Luna's near-panic in attempting to soothe her empathically, Dr. Haladet was eerily calm as she left her office. "Yes, can I help you?" Torvil Torvil left the clinic, feeling better than he had going in. He felt as if a large amount of his weight had gone from his shoulders, in fact, he felt as if his entire soul had been lightened. His last ties to Ala had been severed, he had realized that today, when he'd heard about her plight and not cared. He was finally free. He lifted his head to the sky and let out a happy shout. Then turned into the darkness, and headed to do his errands. Surion Rakamash Surion snaps his attention to the lady who comes to the counter trying to forget what had just happened, he puts a smile back on his face and speaks "Hi, uhm just curious for information if you would be so kind... my mate and I are considering having a clutch... We both had our parents go through this clinic, so was wondering how that all works and stuff..." he was slightly rambling but he hoped he was clear Lillian Haladet Lillian flashed Surion her brightest smile, reaching for a clipboard and a pen. "Name, please?" Surion Rakamash "Mine? Oh.. I'm Surion, Surion Rakamash..." he was beginning to feel more at ease, and he was eager to find out information that effected his future far more then the male who had just vacated the clinic minutes before Lillian Haladet "Surion Rakamash." A pause. "Oh! I remember your file very well. It was the empty one." Lillian set the clipboard aside and folded her arms across her chest. "I suppose you're going to tell me you don't have medical records to PUT in that empty file, mm?" Surion Rakamash Empty... he knew nothing of this, though he could remember that the only doctors he'd ever seen had been in Kazeha. "Uhm medical records... I was born in Kazeha?" he looks rather sheepish now, he'd never been told he might need to see a doctor here, or get any checkups or anything else for that matter Lillian Haladet "I'm going to need your records sent here." The tone in her voice emphasized that this was NOT a request. "We need to keep up on all of our charges; parents and children. So I hope your local doctors can understand that we're going to need a copy." She retrieved the clipboard, and the bright smile was back on her face. "Now, you do realize that having children is a big step. Are you financially capable of supporting a child, Surion?" Surion Rakamash "Sent here, uhm I'll try, I dont know how Kazeha works... and the only thing they have is records of my birth... I've never seen any other doctors since then... ever" He pauses as she picks up the clipboard "Yes I know, I had the talk when I hit maturity and my powers manifested... and I went on my first hunt" and with his relaxeness Surion slacks a little on the concentration which held his many scars hidden and the scars that raked his torso and upper arm on one side became visible, but he paid little attention to them regardless of his mesh-like shirt "I work at a nightclub five days a week, make about twenty bucks an hour, so income is good..." Lillian Haladet Lillian didn't even bat an eye at Surion. "And are you and your mate emotionally ready to handle a baby? How long have you been considering this?" Surion Rakamash "Well to be honest we've talked about children a long time, though not really seriously till recently, since she broke her curse which she didn't want to pass to her own children" Surion nods as he thinks about this and says it too Lillian Haladet "Talk a little more, mm?" One more sweet smile, and then Lillian set the clipboard aside. "Pick up a few pamphlets while you're at it." She gestured to a rack of colorful pamphlets by the door. "And while you're at it, could you hold out your arm?" Surion Rakamash Surion nods slowly, listening to the doctors words and turns his head to glance at the pamphlets she mentions, without much thught as to WHY she might want to see his arm he holds it out anyways towards her, it seems like an innocent enough request Lillian Haladet And with the speed of a bolt of lightning, Lillian reached into the pocket of her labcoat and, in one graceful arc, brought a syringe into Surion's arm, withdrawing a small sample of watery blood. "Hm." She shook the syringe a bit once it was out of Surion's arm, studying the liquid thoughtfully. "Well. I'll be right back." And off to another office she went in order to properly store it. If Surion looked closely, he may notice that she'd developed a new spring to her step, as if she'd found an interesting new toy to play with. Surion Rakamash Surion's head snapped back to face her in shock, he certainly hadn't expected that... and when she let go he pulls his arm back to himself and his gem on his forhead lights up for a short time before she turns away his arm healing immediately as though she'd never punctured the skin. As she wanders off he stares after her the gem slowly fading to normal Lillian Haladet "You know~" Lillian called from the room in the back, the clatter of bottles and tubes punctuating her words, "If our medical records on you weren't a blank file~ I wouldn't have had to do this." She finally returned with two boxes of band-aids. "I have unicorns and power rangers. Which do you prefer?" Surion Rakamash Surion shakes his head in wonder at her statement... He eyes the bandaids "Uh what are those?" he'd never seen a bandaid, he'd never needed one. He'd once again hooked his thumbs in his beltloops Lillian Haladet Ah. Lillian understood now. "Never mind, then." Surion Rakamash "Ok" Surion lifts a brow for a moment and then nods. "Sorry, guess theres simply things I dont know what are... like those things..." he nods and the little dragonette hops off his shoulder and lands on the counter directly in front of him tipping it's head and looking at her, after all he was watching out for his bonded, not that this lady seemed like any real threat Lillian Haladet "It's all right," Lillian reassured him. "I just find that surprise works best in those situations, is all." A wink. "Now, if we're done here, I've got a patient to tend to." Surion Rakamash "All right thankyou for helping me and talking with me" he nods "I dont want to keep ya" and with that he turns away , gathers his stuff and heads out "Thanks again" he calls before he exits

Posted: May 22, 2006 10:37 amOld Friends It was midnight, the moon high in the clear sky, but Surion wasn't paying any attention to the moon, he was inside, he was at work. The doors of the Nights Portal were open, it's lines and bouncers in the normal places, and inside upbeat dance music blaring in the room and filtering out the doors as the people inside danced to the music forgetting the world outside and their problems.
Cliff had the night off, and Malcolm had been in the Castle for days, so being the older brother, he decided it would be best for Mal to get outside. Where better to bring him than to a nightclub? He grinned and put his arm around Malcolm's shoulders. "Relax.. You'll have fun," he said as they waited in the line to get in. The closer they got to the doors the louder the music was, and once inside they'd see a very large dance floor surrounded in tables and booths, un upstairs guarded by bouncers for VIP, a DJ booth up on a hydraulic lift and amongst the dance floor raised platforms each with a dancer atop them, male and female alike.
"Go sit down at one of the tables, and I'll get us drinks," Cliff said. "I'm not old enough-" Malcolm's mouth was promptly covered by Cliff's hand. "Go find a table and sit down." The feline lowered his eyes and nodded, then went to the nearest empty table. A figure trying to avoid the crowd, which was hard enough to maneuver for someone used to it was overly large today, but the figure had ways around that issue as he flew over the heads of everyone, and over the tables before landing on a nearby platform, the only empty one at the time only to start dancing. Moving smoothly to the beat of the music his wings spread wide. It was Surion, dressed in his normal clubbing gear, baggy black jeans which had chains hanging from the waistband in loops, and a mesh shirt with a dragon over it's shoulder and around his torso and various other things to complete the outfit.
Malcolm's ears twitched as he looked up, feeling the wind from the person flying. He blinked and squinted.. He looked familiar.. but he couldn't place who or where from. After a time a woman climbed the platform and stopped near the top reaching up and passing a drink to him, or attempting to, but Sur wasn't paying much attention to anything but the music and it took the female yelling his name to get his attention, he pauses and crouches on the platform still several feet above heads to take the drink and talk to her a moment
Malcolm still couldn't figure out why that guy looked so familiar. "Like him or something?" Cliff teased, sitting down next to his little brother and putting two alcoholic drinks down. Malcolm blushed heavily. "N-No.. Cliff! I told you I'm too you-" "Shh! Geez, do you WANT to get me arrested?" Surion's ears were more then used to the music, as he moved to stand once more he peered over the crowd and tables, his eyes passed right by Malcolm and Cliff's table only to backtrack and land on the pair, a brow raised a little, the only brow that could be seen as half of his face was obscured by the long dark blue and silver streaked hair as he began to start dancing once more
Cliff downed his shot glass, then looked at the dancer that Malcolm was looking at. "Well.. You've got good taste if you are interested in him." Malcolm blushed heavily. "Cliff!" he whined. Surion dances, his mind wandering away from the pair at the time, at least for the time being, it focuses on the music instead, after all, it was his job to dance with the tunes. At the start of break however he peers back towards the table and then grins deciding to take a shortcut as he lets his wings unfurl and glides over the crowd dropping down near... but not next to the familiar face's table.
Malcolm gasped slightly when he landed nearby and looked away quickly, blushing heavily. Oh gods.. Was it obvious that he'd been staring at him? He didn't mean to.. It was just that the dancer felt so strangely familiar. But he couldn't remember where he might have known him from. Wings folding away the draconic male wanders with his hands in his pants pockets over to the booth and then leans on the end of the seat of the booth "Heya guys" he says casually, though loud enough to be heard over the blasting music of the club
Cliff grinned slightly, looking at the other. "'Lo.. You did a good job up there dancing.. For a mediocre one." "Cliff!" Malcolm hissed, elbowing his brother in the side. Surion laughs with a grin, "Well my boss thought I did a good enough job dancing to work here so I enjoy it" he pauses and watches the pair thinking for a few minutes "Still as shy as ever aren't you Malcolm"
Malcolm's eyes widened and he looked at him. "H-how do you know my name?" Surion shakes his head in amusement "You seriously dont remember me Malcolm?" he asks he tips his head a little, his hair barely sways, still covering most of his face and forehead, though he looks intently with his one uncovered blue eye directly at his old friend.
The pink haired feline looked apologetic. "I-I'm sorry... You look familiar.. But I don't know how I could know you.." Surion stands more upright and wanders slowly towards the other bench where the brothers are and taps a chin before smiling at cliff a moment and reaching past him to run a single finger along the edge of Malcolm's ear "Tell me... how is Elex?" he asks innocently remembering having played with the male's feline ears as a young child more then once.
Malcolm flinched back slightly when the hand came towards him, then stroked his ear. His eyes widened though when Elex was mentioned. "H-How do you know Elex..?" he asked weakly, feeling a bit scared. Who was this person?! How did they know so much about him?! Cliff growled slightly, pushing Surion's hand away from his brother. "Watch where your hand goes or lose it." Surion chuckles and withdraws his hand and then pushes his bangs over his ear revealing the rest of his face, including his gem. "Oh come on, you knew me since I was little, me and my family, and the keeper, you have a few little furry friends from the shop"
Malcolm stared for a moment, then his eyes lit up as it suddenly dawned on him. "Surion?!" he yelped. No way!! The last he saw him, Surion was a kid! Surion laughs with a grin putting his hands out at his sides a little as if in presenting himself "The one and only" he gives a nod of his head and then leans on the edge of the booth's seat, "so am I still such a threat Cliff?" he asks with a little bit of amusement in his voice
"Knowing what I do of your parents? Even more so," Cliff said, not amused at all. He didn't like people making moves on his little brother. Malcolm was too innocent for that. "Bah my father has a weird lifestyle, I dont much care for, and he's far enough away from here I dont bother worrying. As for mum... she's kinda secluded herself away from anyone and everyone ever since my father and her broke up. Besides I'm happy married by my people, engaged by my fiancée's" he waves his ring hand a little. "I was just teasin, I used to play with his ears with I was a child innocently not knowing the difference, I'm not interested in him that way, just as a friend"
"Yeah, I'm sure," Cliff muttered sarcastically. "Let's just say I don't trust you." "Don't trust me if you don't want to, that's your prerogative" Surion shrugs and then smiles "Well I have to go, break time is counting and I'm hungry still... See you around" he nods and heads off leaving the two males

Backdated to summer 2007
Dragon meets.... Dragon...o ? Night was high, the moon full in the sky, the crisp cool air of the night broken only by the sounds emanating from the Nights Portal. Inside the music was loud, the dancers dancing and the staff of the club doing exactly what they were hired to do.
Surion was upon his platform not too far away from Nyoka, his mind focused on the music his tail moving with his body and for once his wings were open and semi-flared. He wore his normal clubbing attire of black baggy pants and a tight mesh shirt wrists adorned with the black studded cuffs. His long wavy hair half falling in his face covering half his features as he moved. a man in a cloak walks over and sits at an empty table and orders wine though doesn't specify what kind Time passes and soon Surion drops down from his perch moving easily through the crowd, he pauses at the edge of the crowd shaking his hair out some before stretching. He shoves his hands into his pockets and moves the contents of them from them to a small pouch on his hip as he moved along the edge of the dance floor and then amongst the tables heading for the back of the club the people getting a little sparse in numbers as he neared the staff elevator The man stands up and greets him "I am Dragono, can I ask if you are related in any way to a dragon?" He pauses blinking, glances around a moment, he's a little startled, he doesn't often get that particular question. "Uhm I suppose you could say that... Considering I am Kerrsalian Vampric Dragon" he looks the man up and down, the scent of him telling him that this was definitely noone he'd ever met before Dragono gets the feeling he is once again being inspected but continues paying no attention to it "both dragons and vampires I am familiar with though I have never heard of a Kerrsalian before" "Not many have, there's not many outside the Hidden City... " Surion's wings rustle a little behind him as they settle loosely against him "Why do you ask if I'm related to a dragon?" he has yet to divulge his name, of course... he wants to know a little bit before he does too Dragono continues trying to be as casual as possible not wanting to draw attention to himself "some of your features are very draconic in nature and I thought it possible you might be a part dragon" "Well I doubt I could get a whole lot more obvious" he laughs and smiles, it wasn't in his nature to hide, least not when he was at work, perhaps when hunting but not here... "I'm Surion... " he looks at his platform for a moment thinking about what time he had free for his break and then without a shred of hesitation dropped into a seat at where it was obvious the man had been sitting "Want a drink?" "Well I it nice to meet you Surion and a drink would be much appreciated though I know little about the beverages here." A brow quirked slightly as he had his mate's sister grab a drink for Dragono, not to mention himself though that got him looks since he worked there. He had chosen to let the bartender pick a drink for the man across from him, the man had Surion's interest, and there was no denying that "around here, I take it that means you aren't from this general area?" He wonders slightly at the nature of beverage he was likely to get then continues talking to Surion "I only arrived recently so I am quite unfamiliar with this area" He leans on an elbow and nods "I see, a traveler then... Lots of stuff around this area, though right around here this is the most interesting thing..." The drinks arrive the one placed before the draconic male a very distinct crimson red, much different then the drink placed before Dragono before the waitress wanders off The beverage appears to be more of the same wine he had gotten when he had first arrived which at least seemed safe to drink "Well I do have to agree this place is very interesting I know of similar places but none really like this" "Gaia is a place all of itself I suppose" Surion takes a finger and pushes his long bangs over one of his pointy ears uncovering the 2nd half of his face revealing the royal blue gem in his forehead and when he opened his mouth to drink, his pointy teeth. There was only a moment's pause between the loud music, "really that different though?" He notices the gem and thinks that he should find out the purpose of that later "In some ways very much the same as many places I have been but still quite different" Well that was vague... at least to Surion, but he was nothing if not curious and sort of persistent in nature. "I see. I imagine most places must be different." he stops talking drinking yet more of the red liquid which was proving a little thicker then a plain old normal drink but that wasn't phasing Surion in the least. Dragono finds it interesting that they are serving what most likely is blood to vampires in public but adds it to the already long list of unusual things he has found since he has arrived. "Most places actually are mostly similar but the machines that lack magic are something I rarely see alot of" "Machines that lack magic? Well you may or may not be shocked I suppose that's yet to be determined" he pushes his now empty glass aside and without breaking eye contact Surion's blue eyes shift to a distinct emerald green in color as he forms a small ball of waters between his open hands with the intent to wash his hands with the liquid "I take it there is a lot of magic ... wherever it is you are from?" so he can do some magic and apparently has some display when he does Dragono thinks wondering if that is the limit of his abilities or he has other as well "Yes, It is rather common actually." Now his curiosity was perked as he washed his hands then leaned forward against the table his eyes returning to normal, he thought nothing of what he'd just done, he often did "Really?" Intrigued and somewhat puzzled by the sudden interest considering Surion just used magic in public without any sign it was unusual. "Many people where I am from have some ability though there are still alot who do not." "Gee that kinda sounds like this place, not everyone has the powers to do magic of sorts..." He taps the table lightly with a finger to the beat of he current song "Some that have stronger powers then even mine are my mother and aunt... My mate has powers of her own nature, I doubt I've even seen all she can do" Looks around the room thinking this reminded him somewhat of where he grew up but far more friendly at least in appearance. He thinks to himself so other than the machines and some cultural differences this place is much like may other places I have been "Then is there a reason you use the machines rather than magic?" "Well probably cause not everyone here has the power to use such abilities..." he nods "Not everyone here uses magic, so we rely on other means... whether that be machines or just plain hard labor" he glances briefly about and then back to him "You say this in a way that makes me suspect you use magic on a regular basis... or rather... powers, to me it's not really 'magic' per say" "I do have some magical ability and what you say does make some sense I have seen some machines before but none this complicated" Looks at all the machines thinking of all the ways what they do could be done magically "Complicated?" the idea of this is a bit farfetched to Surion "These are not complicated, most of what you see here is just every day equipment" he looks at the lift the dj booth sat upon and then back at the man before him. He is intrigued "So there are many things of this kind here?" "More then I could ever list, many people have come up with all sorts of devices to help out mankind" he takes a sip of his beverage "I would like to see the surrounding area and it would be helpful to have a guide would you mind showing me?" "I can after my shift" he looks up at a clock "I have about 2 hours... that all right?" Considers for a little while then looks at the lift and lights "That will be fine I will look around for a while" Surion nods "Then I will take my leave of you for the moment and finish my shift" he stands up and heads back into the crowd Watches him wander off then takes out a piece of parchment from a pocket in is cloak along with a quill and starts writing something

Dragon meets.... Dragon...o ? ~ Part 2 The couple of hours passes fairly quickly for the young man who had returned to dancing, and soon the club was emptying out. Pocketing all the tips he'd received Surion jumps down from his pillar and heads towards the male he'd spoken to before
Dragono is busy looking between his parchment and the lift and lights and adding things to the parchment
"Hey, I'm just gonna go grab my coat from upstairs and I should be ready to go" he tells the man curious as to what he was writing
He looks Surion then at the parchment I last time decides it is done rolls it up and puts it and the quill in his pocket "Ok, We can leave when you return"
"Okay, I'll be right back then" he heads for the elevator, pulling out his keycard as he does and then disappearing into it, when he returns he's removed the choker and wristbands and was pulling on a coat
Dragono is waiting when he returns looking around the room "Lead the way I am unfamiliar with the area" not mentioning he is also unfamiliar with the exits not having used one to get in
Surion nods pulling his hair out of his coat as he heads for a side door
Follows and adjusts something hidden under the back of his cloak
The door Surion left through turned out to lead into the car park "Uhm, do you have a vehicle or...." he stops and turns to face Dragono
He looks at tall the things ate the large metal carts? "Assuming you mean one of those I unfortunately do not and lack a horse as well"
"Okay this should be interesting uhm.. one sec" Surion looks around for something and then finds what he needs "Mom would kill me if someone rode my bike with me without a helmet" he explains as he grabs some chalk out of a sidebar of a nearby motorcycle and starts to draw on the concrete beside him
He watches him draw figuring what a bike is will become apparent soon enough as well as why it would endanger one's skull
By the time Surion was done drawing he had drawn an alchemist's circle and put what he needed into it and after a moment he was using it, turning a chunk of scrap he'd found into a reasonable helmet for Dragono
"You do transmutation?" he asks wondering what other skills Surion has and how skilled he is
"Yeah, my ... my dad taught me when I was old enough to learn it" he stoops and grabs the helmet handing it to Dragono before his eyes turn green and he takes a moment to clean up his mess with waters
Taking the helmet he inspect it to see how well it was made then puts decides to drop it on his head "And where do we find your bike?"
Surion's eyes returned to normal "Uhm right here" he says with a laugh dropping the chalk back into the side bag of his bike.
He looks carefully at the bike and then mumbles something "How do you keep it stable? I would think with the wheels like that it would tend to tip over.
"Once it's moving it has no problem staying upright" Surion replies raising a brow, this man was something else. He mounts the bike pulling out his keys as he straightens it up and turning it on, filling the area with a loud rumble before pulling his helmet that had been obviously adjusted for his horns on.
Thinks this place would be a gnome paradise then gets on the bike behind Surion being the only possible place for him
He was glad he did not have to explain that much tot he male as he backs the bike out, "Anything in particular you'd like to see?" he asks over the sound of the bike
"As much as possible preferably starting with the general area as well as a place to stay" came the reply
Surion nods and pulls out of the lot, he didn't change his normal routine of speed, so the ride into town didn't take very long and soon buildings were around them and he did slow down
He was now understanding the need for some sort of defense due to the great speed is glad he did better than the helmet before leaving "I understand why you do not use horses this is a great deal faster"
"Horses? no one rides those around here, least not for anything but recreational use" he replies and begins to point out things around them.
Starts familiarizing himself with the area and taking note of things that are unusual to him which appears to be quite a bit "Do you live in this area?"
"No, actually I live with my mate on Emerald Haven's land" he replies "It's a lot quieter there" he smiles at that thought
"Yes I expect quieter would be generally preferable there is far more noise here then most of the places I have visited though there have be a few louder"
Surion laughs "That's Gaia for you" as he reaches the far end of town "been like this all my life"
Thinks he would prefer to avoid being in town itself due to the incredible noise "Would it be possible to see your Island?"
"Well it's not an island but I suppose so" Surion turns the bike heading back out of town and speeding up, he didn't know why but he trusted this male
"You said that magical skill is not uncommon here and seem to be generally accepted do people often have jobs relating to their skills?"
"Sometimes" he replies "It really depends on what a person can find, or likes to do regardless of skills" soon the city was left behind and they were out in the open land
"What kinds of magic are common I have seen you do some sorcery with water and some Transmutation using symbols which appeared to be close to wizardry but I am not sure how common either is or to what degree especially considering much seems to be done without magic at all"
"Uhm well my powers over water come from my heritage, alchemy is something I learned, there are a number of people around who perform some kind of magic or another, some born with the ability others who learn it" he slows knowing they are nearing the haven's borders
Dragono finds it interesting that alchemy here seems vastly more developed "The helmet was done with alchemy? What other kinds of things are done with alchemy?"
"Various things I guess, My brother has joined creatures, I think I did once too, but only once" he slows more and then pauses in his words "I'm not sure why but I trust you, in order to take you to where I live I have to give you the address, it's cause of a enchantment on the land" and after telling that to the male he gives his address to Dragono
Memorizes the address and looks around for things radiating magic "Did you make the ward for this area?"
"No, my mate's family did" he replies and speeds up once more as areas of the land which weren't previously visible to the male he had with him would start to appear and Surion turns down a drive
He watches the area appear trying to determine the exact borders of the ward
Surion speeds up driving deep into the area till the house comes into view
Finds the house to be very open "Your house has quite a few windows"
"My mate's family had it built, far more number of enchantments on it then i can shake a fist at" he pulls the bike to a stop in front of the house
Carefully removes himself from the bike "This is alot more peaceful than town"
"It certainly can be... depending on how many of the others are home" he turns the bike off and gets off heading inside though pausing to pet the head.,.. or rather one head of a huge three headed dog before unlocking the door
Walks up to the door next to him while watching the dog to see how it reacts
The Cerberus was actually asleep and didn't pay the man any attention "Come in" Surion opens the door and walks in not bothering yet with his jacket, a quick look around revealed most if not all the others were not home
He enters the house and looks around "You said others live with you?"
"my mate, and a bunch of creatures we take care of, it appears they aren't home though with the exception of Cryon" Surion moves deeper into the house
With no warning behind Dragono was a soft 'pop' sound.
Dragono turns around seeing what the pop was
What it turned out being was a woman, not as tall as Surion, but by her appearance very much in relation, she raises a brow "Who's your friend Sur"
"Hey you're back, how was the hidden city mom... and this is Dragono, I met him at work.. Dragono this is my mother" he introduces them
Bows slightly "Nice to meet you"
"Likewise..." she nods her head giving the man a smile "I heard your bike from the main estate, " she tells her son
"That's cool" he replies and then returns his attention to his guest his mother passing him heading towards the back of the house "So this is my home"
Looks around considering all the extremely large windows "It has a very open design"
"I like it I cannot complain" he smiles and nods
Dragono stops and thinks about something for a moment then takes out the parchment that he had written on and hands it to Surion "What do you think about these" are rough drawings of the lift and lights and some notes on size shape and apparent functioning based entirely on appearance as well as some other symbols it is obvious he is not an artist
"Well, it looks like the DJ booth at the club to some degree, have you not seen machines like this before?" he raises a brow looking up at the man
"not of that degree no though I have been to mechanics which has a great deal of machinery" he replies
"Well that one holds my boss who is the disc jockey at the club above the dancers so he can see whats going on" Surion explains
before Surion can continue Dragono stops him "mechanics I can understand to a degree though I know of someone would find it a great deal more interesting if you wouldn't mind meeting him"
"Oh really? I suppose I dont see the harm in that, Now though? it's kinda late" he glances at a nearby clock
"Imeadiatly would not be required I would prefer to hear more about your alchemy first in fact"
"Oh? what part of it catches your interest?" the young man asks Dragono curiously
"Your alchemy differs greatly from the alchemy I am familiar with mostly it is used where I am from for treating metals and making some small but useful items"
Such as this pulls a small rod out of a pocket with a few of them on his belt and hands it to Surion
"It's possible to do many different things with alchemy" Surion replies taking the small rod he was being handed turning it over in his hands and curious to it's use
looks at Surion obviously not figuring out what the sunrod is "hit it against something hard"
Surion nods glancing around for a moment before smakcing it against a nearby endtable
the rod makes a crack noise then glows with about as much light as a bright torch
"Well now thats pretty cool, mind you I personally wouldn't have much use for it unless it were to be sitting on a surface I would just do this" he lifts a hand his eyes shifting green once more and creating a ball of energy about the size of a golfball which is glowing quite nicely
"That works as well though I find them often useful and they neither burn nor require using magic, Anyway I take it you use alchemy differantly here so what things do you commonly do with it?"
"Most common use for me it to create things needed that we dont have, my brother teaches Alchemy in Kazeha at the academy there, but there is more things then I can explain... wait here for a moment" Surion says and disappears down a set of stairs returning with a book, before he can even start talking his mother re-enters the room
Seeing the book in Surion's hands she frowns, "I want to talk to you before I go home Surion, and I dont want to hear about that alchemy stuff... not after..." she leaves her words hanging there
"Yeah ok mom, I understand" he turns to Dragono "Come on lets go to my office we can talk there"
Follows Surion and looking to see the expression his mother has as they go
"My mom and dad broke thier bond recently, I learned this from dad, she's starting over and doesn't want reminders" he explains softly as they walk throught he upper hall to the office door
"I see so it has to do with a painful reminder rather than a danger" continues to follow him to the study
"Oh yeah most definetaly, she's seen both of us use the skill many times" Surion opens the door and moves into the room
Follows him into the room "Could you discribe how you do alchemy or is that defined in your book?"
"Yeah well i'm not such a hot teacher so you can take a look at this if you want" he turns the book to Dragono just as a strange metalis blue and silver creature emerges from hiding zipping around them "Tez leave him alone, he's a guest" Surion scolds it
Looks at the metalic creature "A construct?"
"A fandangle actually, I've had him since he was a cog, I was just a boy then" he wanders around the desk and sits down
"I am not aware of what a fandangle or a cog is so it would help if you could explain"
"Sorry, it's a creature that is made by a place called MEF, it bonds with a person, this one is named Tezlopica, he's been with me since I was little, my mate has one I believe it's named lolipop" he tries to explain
looks and sees what the creature is doing "so it is a form of construct?"
"I suppose, I never really looked into it... my father tried to at one point, Tez wouldn't let him" he laughs
"He is an interesting construct. You didn't really explain what a cog was though?"
"sorry, a cog is basically a younger version of his older self" he explains
"I see so it is a construct that grows" looks for a place to sit
"Yeah, basically" there was chairs all over the room, well only a couple but still...
Sits in the chair closest to the desk "Now back to the original subject which I believe had something to do with that book"
"Yeah, alchemy" he pushes the book across the desk towards Dragono
Opens the book and looks at the first few pages
There was a LOT of text in it and some scribbling in the edges written rather small.
attempts to read the text looking for the basic theory of alchemy
"It can get pretty intricate, but who knows, if I can learn it I'm sure others can" he leans back in his chair the light bouncing off his pendant for a second as he does
"Possibly you could teach me some of it though it would have to be as we travel. We should probably get going if we want to make town before things get to lively in the morning"
Stand up
"Perhaps, it's not something I can teach in a short time.... " he pauses for a moment "Yeah it is getting along on time I suppose we should go see your friend..." he stands up as well , he was still wearing the coat "Give me a minute though, be right back" he leaves the room for a moment to speak to his mother
Waits for him to return while looking around the room
Surion was about ten minutes and then he returns to the office where Dragono was "Okay, she just wanted to talk to me for a few minutes"
"The are the clothes you would prefer to travel in?"
"Yeah I suppose I should get out of work clothing" he realizes he hadn't yet changed, tossing his jacket on his chair he leaves the room again, when he returns he's wearing black pants and a top
"Are you ready?"

backdated as rp was started and not completed in august
a family disappears in a world of no memories "Yeah I think so" Surion grabs his coat pulling it on, he could hear his mother moving around downstairs and knew she was getting ready to head home
"Then lets go" Mumbles something then touches Surion's shoulder there is a loud bang and a bright flash then they are standing in the woods with his mother and a pile of objects falling on them
Surion's gem flashes brightly as the shift between planes happens and he closes his eyes suddenly loosing his footing and landing on his a**.
Shicala herself had gotten hit by one of the larger items, and was knocked out, her gem had flashed for a moment, around them all was items... they were all items from his office.
Dragono looks around as things bounce off him like he is in armor looking displeased "That was not supposed to happen."
"What the hell" Surion looks around them, he sees the trees, though he almost has a empty quality in his eyes. But only just a little
"The spell appears to have reacted to the gems you both have. I believe it would be dangerous to try it again before I have figured out why"
"What?" Surion looks up at him at the exact moment as a small leopard spotted dragonette scurries up Surion's arm wrapping his tail around Surion's upper arm, if Dragono had looked at all the items that had appeared around them, the dragon had a moment before been solid and attached to a crystal bladed spear
"are you two ok?" looks at the little dragon but finds it not exactly important at the moment
"Uhm, well it looks like mom is not exactly awake to ask... As for me... " he pauses and blinks "Where in Gaia are we... and better question, how did we get here?"
"We actually are not in Gaia. Where exactly should be somewhere near waterdeep in faerun though with how the spell reacted I can't be sure yet. For the second question it was a plane-shift spell which we will not be doing again till I find out what happened exactly."
Surion stares at the male trying to figure what the hell was going on, "Plane-shift ... from where?"
"Traveling magic from Gaia to here it was just supposed to move just the two of us a few miles from town it is how I got into your I think you called it a club?"
He says nothing, though he continues to stare at the male, his face holds a very confused expression.
His mother groans slightly and pushes to sit upright
hands her a small bottle "drink this it will help"
Shicala looks up at him "Uh.. thanks... who are you?" she takes the little bottle and then looks around
Surion stands up and brushes his pants off still looking around
"I am Dragono we have already met once but I will explain later for the moment just drink that"
Shicala raises a brow, she doesn't remember meeting this man, though he seemed nice enough
"Where did you say we came to this spot from?" Surion suddenly asks as he looks back to Dragono
Stops "It seems that may have been worse than it seemed. We will collect the things that seem important and move to a safer location to discuss this and Drink the potion it will make you feel better" hands one to Surion as well then starts picking up items that seem important or useful
Surion looks at the bottle and then downs it before moving to help Dragono pick up his belongings, by the time he was done helping the three of them had everything but the shelf, some pens and paper and a few odd office supplies in their arms
any wounds Surion received from the falling items start healing immediately Dragono does not drink a potion himself though he seems to be completely untouched by the falling items that hit him once done picking up items sorts them into things they should be carrying and finds places to pack the others "We should get going and you really should drink that" looks at Shicala "traveling wounded will be
more difficult and draw attention of things I would rather not have to deal with"
She raises a brow, the gem on her forehead glowing lightly as a scratch across her cheek disappears quickly along with the aches of the fall "I dont need a potion to get healed" it was one of the few things at that moment she could remember.
nods "Then we should be going" ask Surion "Do you know how to use the spear?"
Surion nods "Yeah I know how to use a spear" it seemed very large chunks of his memory were gone, less then his mother but enough. "Don't recall where I learned it.... but I know" the looks of confusion streaks across his face again for a moment
"As long as you know how to use it that will help just follow and let me deal with anybody we come across" looks at the sky for a little while then picks a direction and starts walking
Surion nods and motions his mom to come to. They pair follow Dragono through the woods, neither being very loud, if one didn't know better, they'd both been taught how to hunt
Dragono moves through the woods with little difficulty and making little noise though trying to make better time than any real attempt at stealth appearing quickly to realize where he was and adjusting his path "We are not far from town we will stop before we go in so I can make some preparations"
"All right" Surion speaks for both him and his mother, the dragonette had returned to it's spear which Surion was holding in his hands
They soon arrive at a road a little distance from a large wall Dragono stops "I hope it is just that spell that is reacts that way" mumbles something and touches Surion. Surion changes appearance to look like and average human male in travelers clothes "good this should save some difficulty" then does the same to Shicala resulting in her looking like an average human female "Lets go"
Heads down the road toward the wall
The pair look at each other, both had previously had their wings folded away, so the main things hidden were their horns, and tails and of course... their gems. "Okay, not usual to have others here I take it?" Surion inquires as they resume movement
"others yes some but you two are unique and I will need to spend enough time already explaining to you about here when we arrive about how you got here I would rather not spend my whole day explaining to them as well" as he says this you can see that you are walking up to a large gate that goes into the city it is open with some guards talking to some of the many people and carts going in and out
"That makes sense I suppose" Surion agrees as he shifts the weight of the items he is carrying
"What is this place" Shicala says quietly not wanting to draw attention to herself or the trio as they walk through the gates and she looks around
"This is Waterdeep the one of the largest cities in northern Faerun and the largest trading center I was planning on bringing Surion here to talk to a gnome artificer here about some of the things I saw but considering the apparent memory loss I will be unable to do that"
"Faerun? uh... never heard of it" Shicala looks as confused as ever as she adjusts her glasses on her face
Surion sighs lightly, this guy was talking about memory loss... well it was certainly true he couldn't remember needing to talk to anyone...
Takes them through town and down several streets many with shops and people selling many things though the most advanced technology seen is clockwork and horses and carts can be seen until the streets become to narrow
The pair following Dragono watch where they are going, watch around them, trying to get any idea where they were, though neither did.
Takes them into a small inn asks them to wait walks to the man at the bar and says something to him. The man gives Dragono a bottle and then drag drops some coins on the counter returns leads them up the stairs at the other side of the room
Shicala was going to be glad when she could put down all the clutter she was carrying
Surion on the other hand couldn't care less, he mainly wanted information
When they get to the top of the stairs he leads Shicala to a door unlocks it and gives her the key "I have gotten rooms for us here" gives another key to Surion and indicated a room right next to the one he just opened "mine is the one at the end"
"Drop your stuff in your rooms and you can get food downstairs it is already paid for"
"Thanks" Surion replies and both of the pair disappear into Surion's room depositing all the belongings there. They talk quietly to each other for a time before heading downstairs
When they come down Dragono is already there drinking what was in the bottle from an ornate goblet
Surion and his mother join him, they were both in fact quite hungry and dug in quietly
The food served is very good though not at all fancy. While sitting there they can smell what Dragono is drinking it smells very strongly of alcohol and mushrooms
"Thats an odd smelling drink" Surion remarks as the meal begins to draw to it's conclusion
Shicala by this time, now full, yawns as she gets more sleepy
"I grew up drinking this unfortunately it is difficult to get here" gives Surion some in another goblet though it seems to be an incredibly small amount
Surion tries it, raising a brow, he decides it's an acquired taste for certain "Definitely different" he muses, though unsure what if anything he was comparing the beverage to
Is somewhat surprised considering drow wine is considered to be one of the most powerful drinks on Faerun and the only reason Dragono can drink it is because he was forced to his entire childhood "it seems to be though not many people do"
Shic excuses herself deciding to go to bed, this leaves only the two males talking
Surion "Kay mom" he says as she walks away "You seem to like though, I suppose that's what counts"
"I have acquired a taste for it yes. I believe we should all get some rest we will discuss what happened we we all get up. Those spells will wear off of both of you by the morning and there will be rings with the same effect for each of you ready by then. "
"Sounds like it.." he nods hearing the instructions on getting to bed "Okay, well I suppose we should all get to sleep..." he had no idea what time it was, but he was in fact tired as he stood up to head for the room Dragono rented
Dragono gets up soon after and casts several spells on the doors of the 2 rooms and several more on his own before going to bed

Senti is here, so is Tez, theres a number of things that happened, like how did mom and I wind up in the woods with stuff I recognize as mine, and why do we have to hide what we are, I kinda feel a sense of deja vu here, but I"m not understanding why. Well Dragono can help me I'm certain of this, and perhaps one day thse mysteries will be solved

Posted: Jan 24, 2008 2:50 amPsudo Dragons & Weapon Masters Nearly a year had passed, and Surion remembered no more then he arrived in the woods with Dragono and his mother. Now and then he went with Dragono on his travels, but not all THAT often, his mother went with him a little more then he did, he himself had grown somewhat secretive.
during this time Dragono visited many people of various kinds around Waterdeep some friendly and others exceedingly dangerous discussing various subjects, often magic of some degree. When not traveling he attempted to discuss with Surion and his mother what they remembered and their magic
Dragono was one of the very few that Surion was completely open with. At this point he felt no need to hide anything from the male. He often pondered much about what he didn't remember, and some about some of the belongings he had with him.
He returns to the place he calls home one day with a creature on his shoulder, well Senti his dragonette was on one shoulder, and a small red and black dragon
had decided he needed to take residence on the opposite shoulder, Surion had no idea what KIND of dragon it was, but a companion wasn't something the male was going to turn away, he just hoped Dragono could tell him, he'd taken to calling the thing 'Kuyl'
upon seeing the creature Dragono says "I see you have found yourself a familiar, a psudo dragon is fitting one. I guess I should give you this" takes a small book out of one of his pockets and hands it to Surion
"A familiar?, this guy decided he liked my shoulder and doesn't want to leave it." Surion looks at Kuyl for a moment and then turns to see what Dragono was giving him "What's this?" he takes the book looking at it in curiosity
says "read it" then starts looking for something else
Surion raises a brow motioning the small dragon's off his shoulders which they do as he pulls his heavy cloak off. "All right" he flips the book open looking at the text and mumbling to himself softly in a language other then English, he hadn't even noticed he was doing it as he idly puts his cloak on a hook, still reading
inside the book is the basic concepts of faerunian magic as well as beginning wizardry and some spells after which are an endless number of blank pages that should not actually fit in the little book
Surion sits on the arm of a armchair and flips through it until he gets to the blank pages "A lot of information in this... little book" he muses still not looking up, he uses his right hand which has his two rings on it to push his hair over his ear.
"it is a spell book the blank pages are for spells you find or make yourself all wizards have them of one kind that one is convenient and very difficult to destroy" then he hands Surion a little bag with quite a few different gems in it, it can be noted that previously Dragono has made most of his transactions in information rather than money "those are for whatever else you need"
Surion puts the book down taking the bag looking down into it a grin a spreads a little, oh the joys of liking the shine of gems. The grin lasts only a moment "I never did show you I can make a crystal of my own kind did I" he asks, still looking down into the bag
"no you have not. I would be interested to see this" Dragono sits down to watch what Surion does.
Surion puts the bag aside setting it with the book he'd been given, his eyes shift to the green Dragono had seen several times in the time since they had met. He turns his hands palm side up, over one hand he creates a ball of water, about the size of a large marble, over his other hand, a ball of energy. Dragono may have seen Surion use both of these skills over the months on their own... Now
Surion brings both of them together closing his hands around the two balls which cause a bright flash of light when as they disappear into his hands. Surion's eyes return blue and he opens his hands tossing to Dragono a crystal about the same size as the balls of water and energy he had previously held, the crystal was perfectly clear, it had a VERY light hint of blue.
"that is an interesting skill if that doesn't take alot of energy you might want to keep a few they my end up being useful" puts the crystal he was handed away in a pocket
"Mom calls those water crystals, I think they are nice. So tell me more about Kuyl" he nods his head towards the red dragon who had curled up atop the back of a chair to sleep
"He is a psudo dragon a type of small dragon that many of the more powerful sorcerers and wizards have as familiars which is probably why that one attached itself to you. They are more of an animal then a real dragon and lack a breath weapon but they do have a sting that can put somebody to sleep for hours or even days" looks at the dragon " The psudo dragon is why I gave you the book you may have
skill in wizardry and having a larger variety of magic you can use can keep you alive.
"Really?" now this interested Surion greatly, mind you much of the things that Drag had taught him he liked. "So the dragon gives you reason to suspect wizardry skills? What kind, anything in particular?"
"other than that I believe you have most likely bonded a familiar without knowing it. I am not yet sure though I would suggest you try what is in that book to start and avoid distance traveling spells since I still am unsure what happened before" the contents of the book were a few utility spells and some combat and defensive spells but nothing involving travel
"All right, yeah I'll spend some time on those over the next while. Did mom go out on another of those darned hikes she seems to like to go on?" he hadn't been home long enough to make any other guess then this
"She went out though I am not sure where I was busy rewriting a spell of my own" This may seem a little odd because he had nothing to write with just seemed to be sitting holding his sword and doing nothing when Surion arrived earlier
Surion nods, it was a little odd, but certainly not the first time he'd heard the male say this. He slips backwards letting himself slide into the chair looking at the two rings he wore, the gold one that said 'Tinania' on it, what that was, he did not know, and the silver one that Dragono had given him a long time ago
Dragono looks at him sitting staring at the rings "Do you remember something about the other one or still trying?" Dragono has so far told them what he knew about them their relationships to each other, how they came here and why they are stuck but little about their old world
"No, I have no idea, something tells me it's important, otherwise I wouldn't have had it to begin with, but beyond that I really have no idea what it means, or even where I got it. There's a lot I still dont know, and I really dont remember this 'Gaia' place you have told me about, in all honesty I dont even remember where I was before the woods... only what you've told us" he frowns and his gaze l
leaves the rings and looks towards him.
"Unfortunately there is little that I could tell you about Gaia I was there a very short time and it would serve little purpose to do so since I can not take you back." Put his sword that he has been holding all this time back on his back and stands up
"Yeah I know, you've told me, it's just odd that's all." he sits up more "So what's on your plans for the next while Dragono" his eyes on the sword half curious why the male always had it with him, though he'd yet asked about it, or been told
"First I think we should try and find your mother" heading slowly for the door "Then I believe I will go back to Skullport to see if somebody I know there can help me solve a problem"
Surion nods "Sounds like a good plan by me... now? or in a while?" he stretches as he asks these questions
He stops as he gets to the door "finding your mother now. Skullport after some preparations and if you intend to come as well you will need to learn what is in that book and more before we go"
"All right I'm coming I'm coming" he stands up scooping the bag of gems up and putting them in his pouch on his hip before rousing the dosing psudo dragon and slipping his cloak on once more. As he scoops up the book both dragons make their way to his shoulders
Heading out the door he pulls his cloak on as usual and appearing as just another person on the street "Do you know where she has been taking her walks?"
"In the woods near some water I believe" he replies after a moment of thinking about this and catching up to Dragono "Where exactly I'm not certain..."
"Then we will need to look outside the city" heads for the nearest gate moving through the people in the street without difficulty
Surion nods his agreement and then chuckles "Yeah.. considering I dont see any patches of trees in town"
"There are a few but none large enough to count as woods" Still heading for the gate "I wonder what it is she is looking for on her walks"
"Dunno, you'd have to ask her" he replies and taps his chin "Only she would know that one" he was glad when they cleared the crowd
"I have not yet though obviously she has not found it yet and if she decides to come to Skullport there will be no place to have such walks to look. So I will ask." As the crowd clears they arrive at the gate Dragono heads through it without hesitation guards pay little attention to anybody leaving
Surion nods, they walk for some time until Shicala can be seen slowly walking in the distance deep in the woods, unlike in town it's obvious she has the ring off cause she's staring out over the water with her wings completely unfurled
Dragono walks up behind her quietly looking to see what she is staring at then says "Have you found it yet?"
She looks up "Found what?" she looks at him slightly confused, she'd only just been staring at the water
"Whatever you are looking for out here" Is glad to see that she did not jump at his speech doing so would have indicated she was not paying any attention to her surroundings
"I'm not really looking for anything, I just cant be myself in the city, I like stretching my wings, is there something I should be looking for?" she lifts a brow
"Looking to be yourself is still looking for something and it seems that you have found it." not in a hurry anymore sits down on the ground against a tree and leans on it "Anyway I came out here to discuss something with both of you. I have already told some to Surion"
"What is it?" Shicala turns to face him her wings sliding back into her body and out of sight, but her tail and her horns were still visible
Surion is curious and plops down near another tree as the two dragons move into his lap
"I am planning a trip to Skullport to to see somebody who may be able to help me figure out how to avoid what happened when you got here. I would like you both to join me."
Surion's brow raises at this comment "You mean the fact that we cannot recall almost anything prior to the woods?"
Shic looks from Dragono to her son, her son had voiced her exact thoughts
Still leaning on the tree looking at both of them "Yes and I may need you with me in order to figure it out"
"I'll go" Surion's response was immediate, there was a lot in his past he wanted to see if he could retrieve somehow, and all attempts he'd made so far had failed
Shicala's response was not as fast, she thinks about Dragono's words, and she looks at her son's reaction. After a couple minutes she nods "All right, Skullport it is"
Dragono was in no hurry to get up having more to say "Skullport is a dangerous place and I will need you both to be able to take care of your selves." looks at Shicala "your son has shown some signs of possible skill in wizardry so I have given him some things to help him. Unfortunately I am unsure in what area you may have skill. you seem to have some skill in healing though useful this will not defend you"
Shicala nods, and looks at the water for a moment her eyes shifting to green, "Instinct tells me I have defended myself in the past" she pushes her sleeve up, from her wrist to almost her armpit on one arm it was littered with scars.
considers the scars "either you have had to defend yourself alot in the past or I hope you do it alot better"
"They looks all the same age, I think they were all at the same time" she creates a small ball of energy much like Surion had earlier just smaller, MUCH smaller and tosses it at the water where it exploded on contact
"If you have more skills of that kind you may be able to defend yourself, you will have to decide but this is the kind of magic you find in Skullport" Dragono tosses casts a short spell and throws a small red bead out over the water as it arcs into a fall it explodes into a 40ft ball of fire "and that is just one of the minor spells that is in the book I gave your son"
"And that was a tiny ball of energy" Shicala says with a nod as she watches the ball of fire taking control of the waters inside lifting both hands sending a spray at the fire ahead of her. "But regardless, I'm sure we'll be ok"
Surion had been half listening, but Dragono's mention of the book had him curious about it again and he was skimming through it again
in the book he finds several elemental spells 2 of which are fireball and delayed blast fireball which describes the bead Dragono there are also cold spells, force spells, some utility and some defensive spells such as a simple spell called mage armor for creating a field of magical energy that protects you like a suit of plate without getting in your way
"If you believe you have what you need then I will start preparing. But if you believe you require another skill before we go I will teach you what I can or find somebody better it does no good to find a way for you to return if you are not alive to do so"
"We will be together as a group will we not?" Shicala frowns slightly as she lets her hands drop and faces him as her eyes return to blue
Dragono looks at her very seriously "As much as possible that is what I intend but there are many things that can happen and I prefer to be prepared"
"well then we'll just plan for everything to go as planned" she nods as she slips the ring on her right hand once again hiding what she really was from the world around her
Surion pockets the book once more and looks up
"Do you believe you can learn what is in that book in the next 2 weeks? I believe the concepts are similar to your alchemy though with some differences" Dragono says to Surion as he stands up
"If I work at it I think I can give it a true effort, and have a good chance at it" he nods being realistic in his reply
During the next few days Dragono spent most of his time teaching Surion wizardry and and what little he could to Shicala
Surion himself put all his effort into learning what Dragono had to teach him, taking few breaks and often practicing even when Dragono was not around. He made his own notes in the book he'd been given and put as much to his memory without referring to the book as he could
after those days Dragono gets up one morning wakes them and asks them to come down to the in he has something to talk to them about then goes downstairs and sits at a table in the corner
Shicala was a touch slower then her son, but then what female wasn't.
Surion on the other hand was downstairs within five minutes running his fingers through his long hair as he approached Dragono's location
He waits till they both arrive while drinking his usual mushroom scented wine
Shic sits on the arm of a chair her son currently occupied "what did you need Dragono" she says stifling a yawn
I will be having somebody visit me this evening he will be staying the rest of the week he is a great fighter while he is here if you wish I will have him teach you. Though when you deal with him outside of fighting do not trust anything he says and never go farther than behind the inn with him no matter how wise or right what he says seems
Shic raises an eyebrow, but at the same time had grown to trust Dragono's judgment in these matters
Surion leans forward "What kind of fighting is it?" he inquires far more interested then his mother
"he is a weapon master other than the fighting skills of monks any other he can teach he has spent his life learning nearly every style known" Dragono explains
Surion nods, this in and of it's own did interest him "All right, sounds good by me" he nods playing with the two rings he was wearing as he did
Shicala listens and ponders more before replying "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to learn some"
"I must inform the inn keeper as well I have yet to tell him, you should get food while I do if you are training with him you will need the energy" stands up and walks over to the inn keeper who is standing behind the bar says something to him. He suddenly turns very pale but nods then starts as if he were going to close then inn for the night
The pair nods and heads for food, Surion notices the inn-keep's reaction but says nothing of it, an hour later both were well fed and Surion had his two dragons near him
Dragono comes back to the table with breakfast of his own and eats while the inn keeper proceeds to close the inn
Shicala disappears back upstairs leaving the pair and the dragons there
"Why is he closing up" Surion asks Dragono quietly noticing the actions of the innkeep "It's still morning"
"because does not want anything to happen to his customers or the reputation of his inn" came the response
Surion raises a brow questioningly. This guy Dragono was bringing must be nasty. Without a word he pulls out his book opening it and reading it again as Drag eats
Dragono finishes his breakfast then says "Do you have any idea what form of combat you would prefer he teach you?"
"To be honest I have no idea, I haven't really had to rely on physical means of defense or offence as yet" Surion admits not looking up from his page until the last few words of his sentence
"it is always wise not to rely entirely on magic there will be times when it will be limited or completely unusable"
"That's definitely true, do you have any recommendations what would be the best kind of thing for me, you know what this guy knows better then I do and what would benefit me" Surion leans on the table looking now directly at Drag
"The weapon should always be what fits the wielder best which is something you will need to decide my weapons are made for speed over strength". He draws his sword and lays it on the table and for the first time Surion had seen he draws the dagger that he keeps on his right side and lays it next to the sword the sword is a katana who's blade looks like it was formed from a single black crystal the dagger has a Kris blade of damasas with serrated edges and when Surion would look at it he got the sensation of deep agony coming from it "The sword was left to me the dagger I made they make up for my limited skills"
Surion nods, his eyes exploring the surfaces of the shiny objects, he always did like shiny items, these ones intrigued him in a way, he was a bit surprised about the dagger, he'd been there so long and had never known about it. The sensations he got from the dagger he felt they left a lot to be desired and wondered how Drag dealt with that "I see" he speaks aloud "That makes sense"
He puts them both away "now that you have seen what I use we need to find something that suits you if your mother is going to train as well we need to find her something suitable as well" he heads upstairs to find Shicala
Surion nods and ponders this idea but does not follow Drag
Shicala on the other hand was flipping through a book leaning against the headboard of the bed, the door was shut, and the curtains drawn tightly shut as she had removed the ring for the time being, just wanting to be herself
Dragono knocks on the door to Shicala's room Then says through the door without opening it "Surion and I will be going to acquire suitable weapons for him you may wish to come and choose some for yourself as well"
Shicala looks up "Yeah ok... Hey I wanted to tell you something" she slips the ring on her right middle finger and goes opening the door before he leaves the area
Dragono stops from heading back down and turns around "What is it that you need to tell me? "
"Remember you were talking about that trip to Skullport right.... trying to sort out things that happened when we came here..." she stops in the doorway one hand on the doorframe
"Yes it was a mistake of my magic that brought you here and I neither intend to leave you stranded here nor go without knowing what caused it and visiting skull port has be best chance of finding out what that would be"
"Dragono, no matter what you discover... I'm not going back, I dont know what it is, but something tells me there's nothing there for me anymore..." She watches to see his reaction as she spoke "I can't and won't stop Surion, I know he wants to know his past, but... It's just a feeling, that there's no reason for me to return there."
"So you will be staying. In that case this trip and the training may be even more important for you than it is for him. I will tell you something else as well the one I am going to see in Skullport is a priestess of the dragon god Io and she may be able to help you find what to do here better than I"
Shicala nods "Makes sense by me" she agrees, and moves to follow him pulling the door shut after her
"Then we should head off I want you to have what you need before this evening" Heads back down stairs to find Surion
Shicala nods her agreement and follows after Dragono, Surion would be found once again reading the book Dragono had given
Dragono tells Surion that they are going to the weapon smith as he heads out of the inn
Surion stuffs the book into his pouch and follows after Drag, he grabs his cloak on the way out and this in turn sent both dragons scampering after him and up his cloak onto his shoulders
The weapon smith Dragono takes them to seems to not be the most popular but on the walls in his shop has dagger, maces, many almost every imaginable type of sword as well as spears and axes hanging or leaning on the walls all of which seem to be very well made "Look at what is here and see what feels right to you"
The pair began to browse and it wasn't long before Shicala's eyes were drawn to a couple daggers, whether or not they were meant to be purchased together Shicala did not know but they were small and Shicala liked the idea of that
Surion took longer to search his eyes catching on the many shiny surfaces around them, he opted for a sword, a light one, but strong one.
Dragono buys the weapons they found as well as a katana from the weapon smith after which takes them to a armor smith and gets Shicala a chain mail shirt before taking them back to the inn
Surion and his mother settled back into the inn once they returned, both of them inspecting the newly acquired weapons more thoroughly
The sword is a leaf blade long sword made so it is lighter than it looks one of the two daggers is larger and looks like it is made from silver and the other appears to be a normal well made fighting dagger
The pair talked between themselves about the weapons while they waited for what was to come
not to long after somebody in a cloak opens the door and comes into the inn ignoring that it says it is closed he immediately removed the cloak revealing that he is a dark elf and walks directly for Dragono
Surion looks up hearing the door open, neither him or his mother speak, they just watch
The when the dark elf reaches Dragono he gives a deep bow and says mockingly "Dragono your humble servant has arrived" Dragono looking very annoyed replies "You get the greatest thrill out of seeing how much you can irritate me, Draklor" Draklor smiles and replies "Why would I want to do such to one as mighty as you?" with just as much sarcasm
Brows rose on both Surion and his mother and wordlessly they look at each other for a moment before watching the scene more.
"I didn't ask you to come to taunt me I want you to teach them how to fight as well as give me the information I asked you to get" The first part amuses Draklor "You can start by teaching them then when they are recovering and I had better not need a priest you can tell me the things I asked"
The part about the priest seems to weaken Draklor's mood some but not entirely
Surion had to hold back an inward chuckle as he leans against the armchair watching
Draklor seems to have heard Surion smiles at him and says "You first" and draws a large sword from his side at this Dragono stand up says "See me after training" to both of them heading up stairs as he passes Surion he whispers very low "mage armor"
Surion stands shedding the cloak, his real defense never showing, not that it would as there was only two ways to kill him.... and one had form of protection that his long-forgotten father had placed there as a child and it had never gone away. He takes the sword in hand and waits
Draklor says "Are you going to stand there and waste my time or attack?"
Surion holds his tongue at a smartass reply and instead takes out that reply with his sword moving in an attempt to attack the dark elf
Draklor defends easily and returns a vicious counter causing as much pain as possible without doing permanent damage "Either do better than that or I will just kill you and hope she is a better pupil"
"Good luck killing me" Surion states, his eyes suddenly changing color, and in pure instinct from his teachings from his aunt he is more prepared for the future. He can remember the abilities he has, knows he got them taught by someone related but nothing else. The gem on his forehead glowing for a moment healing what pain had been inflicted
Shicala shakes her head her eyes already shifted to green much like her son's as she watches what the dark elf has to teach
"That is a little better maybe now you will actually put up a fight" the next attack goes much like the first though not as instant and for the rest of the evening Draklor spends the rest of the evening taking great joy out of making them suffer for every mistake they make till they can no longer stand to fight "Tomorrow do better" he heads upstairs leaving them laying on the floor
Though sore, neither was truly hurt, their gems both glowed for a short time and once the dark elf had left Shicala sits up. Surion however just props himself on one elbow and looks towards the direction the dark elf went.
Draklor goes to Dragono's room enters without knocking tells him the information he asked for, the pupils are weak, he is done with them for the night and then leaves and takes and empty room without waiting for any response
Surion stands and helps his mother up "Lets head for bed" he says handing her the daggers from beside where she sat and taking up his sword heads for his room, his mother also heading for bed.
When the head up Dragono is waiting for them at the top and gives them healing potions "If you need them take them they should heal any wounds you have left, He is likely the most cruel teacher you will ever have but he is also one of the very few that can make you truly skilled in such a short time"
"Dragono" Shicala says shaking her head moving to hand it back "After all this time you never will remember will you" she asks softly with a chuckle
Surion laughs "I think he likes to forget we aren't quite ... human" he says in undertones so not to be overheard by others also handing it back
"I remember but I still do not know the extent of that ability and do keep that from him he will find out if he can, Go get rest he will be teaching you for the rest of the week and you will need it"
Surion nods and heads off in the direction of his room
Shicala pauses placing a hand on Dragono's shoulder telling him very quietly into his ear that he'd know if either her or her son had taken too much to heal, for they would pass out till their bodies healed and energies returned before she too took leave into her room
Dragono nods and watches them go to bed. The rest of the week goes mostly the same from the middle of the day till they can no longer stand each night Draklor pounds them taunts them makes fun of them then leaves them on the floor to go to bed during which their fighting skills increase greatly

Posted: Jan 24, 2008 9:59 pm Planning for SkullPort After several days of training with Draklor in the morning when Surion and Shicala come down stairs the inn is once again open and everything appears to be back to normal. Dragono is already up and as usual eating breakfast
Cracking his neck a little Surion peers around not entirely awake and much looking forward to a morning meal to see the inn back to it's previous state he stops at the bottom of the stairs "Wow" he muses
Shicala herself really wasn't paying attention to anything, and was rubbing her eyes as she walked, she bumps into Surion and without word or opening her eyes moves around him not even noticing
she ghosted the banister a little as she moved into the room
Dragono beckons them to join him at his table.
Surion nods and wanders over dropping into a chair "Hey there" he greets Dragono
Shicala didn't see him beckon but it was her target location anyways and likewise drops into a chair greeting Drag with a cross between 'good morning' and a yawn
"Morning I believe you will find this to be a better day. have been told your skill with your weapons has improved though not exactly in the most complimentary manner" Dragono smiles "I believe he said that you may now finally be skilled enough to defeat a sleeping hatchling"
This earned Dragono a bit of a glare from both of the mother and son pair that at with him. Neither had used their powers as neither really wished to reveal themselves to the drow male
"That means you are as skilled as most seasoned fighters Draklor considers nearly every fighter to be unworthy of his notice"
Surion shakes his head in disbelief "Dragono that guy has a lotta balls. I bet he'd even say something like that to some of the most ruthless people out there"
Shicala rolls her eyes "I'm going to get us some food, back in a moment" she gets up and heads towards the counter
Dragono nods "He would and does and usually they are never seen again I know many who have died to him some for simply being there when he was. He is one of the most vicious beings I have seen"
"Well if never see him again it will be too soon" he nods as he leans on the table talking to Drag
Dragono leans back in his chair relaxing now that he is done with his breakfast "I take it you have figured that he left?"
"Well why else would the inn be open, besides the fact the guy barely let me and mum have breakfast before he was hounding us to train" Surion reasoned
"Yes, the innkeeper was grateful when he found out that Draklor had left some time last night" Dragono looks around the room "And it is a lot more comfortable when he isn't here. He does his best to irritate me at every opportunity"
"How do you know the guy?" Surion inquires sitting upright more as his mom brings him a plate of food and then she too sits down to eat
"I had errands I had to do which unfortunately resulted in me having to meet him immediately upon meeting him he decided to kill me I was lucky enough to defeat him and since I have been the only one he has any respect for" Dragono considers for a second "If you think you can beat him with a blade I would reconsider if I had tried to do so I would be dead there are very few who wouldn't"
Surion nods listening to Dragono's explanation and after a moment starts to eat
"So what's the plans now" Shicala spoke up
"Today we rest after the last several days I suspect you need it and tomorrow we will be leaving for Skullport."
The pair nods "All right, so rest and pack stuff up" comes the reply before finishing up the meal
"I am already prepared and have everything you will need other than your personal items for you as well so those are the only things you will need" Dragono sits up and orders some more to drink "Other than that if there is anything you would like to ask before we go do so though I am not always as free with information as some would like I will tell what I am able"
"So you are saying we should leave stuff here? or bring it with us.... and what method of transportation we taking?" Surion wanted to know these things, it'd been long time since they'd gone to Skullport
"We will be walking any other method would be either difficult or..." and Dragono seems displeased about this "possibly dangerous and thus it is easier if you don't pack anything not truly important to you. Anything left will be safe in the inn"
"Understood" Surion says with a nod and moving to stand "I'm gonna go deal with this" he nods
Shicala wasn't in so much of a hurry as she finished her meal
Dragono looks at Shicala "Anything you would wish to ask or simply pleased with the little you know so far?" Dragono has noticed she appears to have little interest in anything other than her place outside the city
Shicala looks up "Dragono I already told you I'm going more for Surion than anything, I'm not going back to wherever I came from" she tells him quietly once Surion is outside of range "Now if there is anything I really need to know please do tell me"
Dragono waits for Surion to head upstairs "Then I shall. First tell me about your spot outside the town"
"I don't know I find it..." she searched for the right words to describe it. "Well to be honest almost like a safe feeling, like I'm in a setting that is me. I've tried other places that are secluded as well, but that one seems the most comfortable, I feel I can be myself there without worry"
Dragono nods knowingly "You described how it feels but what about how it looks as well and things that are different about it?"
"Well what can I say about it, it's a secluded area with a body of water away from town. Unlike near town it seems that seems to have people around it I've seen very few" she adds
"ok then what about Draklor you spent several days being trained by him what can you tell me about him?"
"He's an arrogant dark elf that I doubt has ever been put in his place, and at the rate he's going likely wont. He certainly knows his stuff I'll give him that but beyond that I'm certainly not fond of him" she nods
"And if I were to say he was not a dark elf what would you say then?" Dragono asks questioningly
"Then what the hell is he" she almost laughs at her own response to this one
Dragono smiles finally having her attention "Why don't you tell me? You should be able to figure it at least part of it on your own"
She laughs "well from looking in his eyes from time to time when we were in combat I'd say... he has background which comes from a draconic heritage...." she doubted that she'd told him she'd come to realize it was a ability she seemed to have
Dragono nods "Looking at his eyes... well I would have preferred your conclusion came more from actual observation but that is true Draklor has not only draconic heritage he IS a dragon and a very old one that form he takes simply because he knows it makes me angry"
"I didn't say looking AT his eyes I said IN his eyes." she smiles "Never the less he's arrogant, simple as that"
"That is a common trait among dragons and something you get used to if you deal with them for any period of time hopefully you will not have to deal with him again"
She nods "I hope not" Shicala leans back and stretches her arms above her head and yawns once more "I suppose I should"

Posted: Jan 24, 2008 10:00 pmA return to Gaia Surion Rakamash It was mid day, the tall dark-blue and silver streak haired male walked through Barton, he was wearing a long very dark blue cloak , black trousers with a few belts on them, and his alchemy pendant, Also a loose white cotton shirt, he wore heavy boots, and a leather pouch on his hip. The area around him was much different then the male had grown used to over the past nearly a year, Faerun was nothing like this at all, Dragono had taught him how to plane-shift, and he'd told Surion where he'd come from, the boy could not remember any of this at all however. To anyone who knew Surion there was one very huge difference, to the naked eye his horns and tail were not visible, this was due to a ring he wore, a gift from Dragono when he first had arrived in Faerun. The other thing the boy had with him were two small dragons, one, leopard print and sitting on on shoulder talking in his mind, the other a deep blood red with black accents. Elliot Shimofuri Mid-day. Or rather morning for Elliot Shimofuri. He had a horrible habit of partying all night long and sleeping through most of the day. Noon was indeed early for him! The red headed boy reached up and ruffled his messy morning hair. He was wearing his favorite h.NAOTO chain pants along with a skull t-shirt that adorned a few skulls, belts, and chains. The rattling of chains followed him down the street." Man. What a bummer. " he said while glaring at the piece of paper in his hand. It was a a slip that said he needed to get his asthma inhaler refilled.
Once looking up from his slip he spotted him. And that cloak! It was so cool! Was that h.naoto? Was it Anarchy?! What brand was it?! He had to know ! " Excuse me..." He said to the mysterious stranger. " But....where did you get that amazing cloak?!" Surion Rakamash Someone talk to Senti's bonded, who this that talk to bonded... Boy talk to Surion The dragonette that spoke in his head chirps fast, but not so fast Surion wouldn't understand himSurion turns his head towards the voice "My cloak?" the male blinks "I got it in WaterDeep" he replies, theres a secretive edge to his voice. It had become a force of habit in the areas that Surion lived and travelled to keep much of things to himself and not share too much information, one never knew who was untrustworthy Elliot Shimofuri Elliot didn't have very many manners and picked up the edge of the cloak. " Oh this is very warm! " He nodded to him self and then finally started paying attention " WaterDeep? Is that some kind of department store?" He asked the older boy while tilting his head to the side. ' WaterDeep? WaterDeep? Have I heard of that before?' He though while letting go of the cloak. Surion Rakamash "WaterDeep is a city" Surion puts simply as he watches the boy, wondering what he was so interested in his cloak for, after all to Surion it didn't seem more then a comfortable, and protective garment that Surion just happened to like and it held a large number of it's own secrets. Senti on the other hand was a little more bold then Surion and skitters down the fabric using his claws in the fabric to stay on the cloak as he comes to a stop a few inches from the red-headed boy's hand What he want, what he want he chatters in Surion's mind though mostly ignored by Surion Elliot Shimofuri " Oh! " He said asking as if he knew where he meant. Elliot couldn't help he could feel he knew this guy. Somewhere inside him he knew he had met him before. " Hey, don't I kno-!!!" Elliot jumped back started mid-sentence when the little dragon thingy skittered towards him. " Oy!!! What a cool toy!!!" Surion Rakamash "Senti get back up here" Surion says quietly reaching down his cloak to snatch the dragonette and put it on his shoulder once more "Sorry... He's a little adventurous" He pushes his hair over his pointed ears, which made more of the boy's face visible, including the gem that the hair usually hid.Toy! Toy! Boy call Senti toy! The dragonette was almost never in his wooden state on the spear anymore and was shocked to hear someone call him a TOY!!"Senti be quiet" Surion tells the dragonette even though the only one who would hear the dragonette was him Elliot Shimofuri " But thats so cool. " He poked the little dragon's nose. He had never seen anything like it. Where did it come from? It was definitely made by the Japanese. Definitely! But changing the subject. the red headed boy jumped back startled, a horrified look washed over his face and he turned pale. With a shout he pointed at the boy. " YOU!!" Surion Rakamash "Me... uh what about me" one brow raises hearing the outburst. He didnt think he knew this person. He takes a single step back feeling a lil aprehensive at this pointAbout this time both dragons with surion stand up eying the boy watching for any signs that he may be a threat Elliot Shimofuri Elliot raised a brow. Maybe he was wrong. No he was sure it was Surion! How could he forget a rival! When he was younger he had the biggest crush on Tinania. But, she ended up with him! " Your Surion Rakamash right? S-so erm...how is Nani? You two still together....? " He asked shifting his glance side ways. Maybe if he was lucky they broke up or something. Maybe he could look her back up. 'Wait no thats crazy! Gah! I seem like a stalker if I did something like that!' He thought and ruffled his hair a bit frustrated. He was indeed a strange kid. Surion Rakamash "My name is Surion.... Yes... " he didn't know the last name Rakamash, that was one thing that still didn't come to his memory, and Dragono never had told him that name. "Nani? I am sorry I'm afraid I'm not sure who you are refering to" he scratches his forehead with a confused expression using his right hand, the two rings he wore were on that hand, one was the one he had which hid his features, the other, well Surion had no idea where the second one was from. It had a word on it, he didnt know what it meant either, but he'd not gotten rid of anything that he had had with him that day in the woods which he his mother and Dragono had taken to town with them. Elliot Shimofuri " Wow..." He looked awe struck. Maybe the break up was so bad he was in shock. Or the break up was so bad that he pretended that he couldn't remeber her. How cruel he thought as his mind continued to jump to conclusions. But the glint of his ring caught his eyes. " Then why do you still wear that? Didn't Tinania give that to you? " Surion Rakamash "Tinania...." Surion pauses, that word... name? he knew he turns his hand over looking at the ring, his expression of pure confussion that couldn't be faked "Tinania.. thats a person?" he looked at the ring again, he never had figured out the meaning "I am sorry, I only came to this place a couple hours ago, Dragono told me I came from here, but honestly I dont know any of this place" Krista_Darkangel_Silme It was the first time since Lucas them for his trip, that she was actually allowed to leave Free Haven. So where did the young fairy decide to head, none other the place where she spent most of her time when she was first born. She figure it would be a good place to get some info on raising a child. Stepping into the clinic, Tinania's wings folded behind her as she carried a huddle dragon boy in her arms. Her messager bag slung over her other shoulder. With a smile, she chuckles as the little dragon boy reaches for her bonytail " Seiji, you can't pull on mommy's hair." she didn't seem to pay attention to anyone around her as she makes her way towards the desk. Seiji giggles as he glances around. His small wings were pinned back against his back due to the blanket wrapped around his body. His thick blue hair cover his golden eyes alittle. His small blue dragon light claws however kept reaching for the blond strands that seem just out of reach. Setting her bag down, Tinania push her hair over her shoulder as she looks over the diffrent books. Although she had babysit before, this was different. Propping Seiji up, so he could look over her shoulder he let out a little noise. HIs eyes taking in the place around him. It was nothing like Free Haven, that much was for sure. Surion Rakamash Surion looks around him he was looking for familiarities, ANYTHING he might remember, so far he saw none. He looked from building to building, eventually seeing what looked like a medical facility, he'd witnessed several different techniques in healing, and was curious what this place practised and so wanders inside, his ring still on thus hiding his tail and horns. He look around seeing many chairs, but very few people. Elliot Shimofuri Elliot straightened up. Looking at the guy. Maybe he really didn't remember her. " Well" He said following the boy as he suddenly stood up and started towards the old clinic. It was exactly where he was headed before he got side tracked. " Well " He piped up after a moment of silence. " Do you remember this place?" Krista_Darkangel_Silme Moving over to the couch, Tinania sets Seiji down on it next to her. Shaking her head she leans down brushing a kiss to the young fragon boy's forehead " Your a hyper one aren't you? Think you can sit there just for a few minutes as mommy looks over this book for a moment." when Seiji does nothing but blink at her, then giggle she laughs. She knew this was going to be a crazy visit. Within minutes of saying what she did Seiji sure enough tried to get himself off the couch. Only to have Tinania carefully grab him by his tail holding him right where he was. Surion Rakamash "Uhm no, it just looks like a medical place, Faerun has a few, mostly in waterdeep that I've seen at least" Something about the place seemed mellowing, he didnt know what. Senti scurries down Surion's cloak and onto the floor... a new place! he wanted to explore! He runs around skittering across tile, sliding down through teh rows of chairs, going EVERYWHERE, noone woulda been able to miss this little creature"Senti come back here... Why cant you be like Kuyl and stay put!" Surion scolds the dragonette loudly, the red psuedo dragon sitting calmly on Surion's shoulder Elliot Shimofuri Elliot nodded. " There is a feel to this place. " He smiled to him self nodding. That was when he noticed her. For a moment he was happy. And then he was shocked. Tinania was there! And she was holding a child! Wait she has a kid or was it hers and Surions?! Maybe?! " AH! Tinania!!" Krista_Darkangel_Silme Glancing up when her name is spoken, she blinks seeing Elliot. With a smiel she waves to him and his friend " Elliot, hey its been a long time sweetie." Standing, she picks up Seiji just so he doesn't attempt to get down again. Walking towards them both, her fairy wings flutter, but remain folded behind her. Leaning forward she hugs Elliot before she pulls back " So who is your friend here?" she didn't have any idea that it was indeed Surion, as he didn't have the wings, horns or tail. Looking Surion over with her emerald aqua eyes, she arches a brow. Even though he didn't seem familiar, at the same time her did to her. Seiji looks over the two males before he hugs close to his mother. His claws digging into her light pink wool sweater. His mother was always warm to him, that he had to fight sleep when she held him. His tail smack her jeans as he makes a couple of silly noises. XBear It had been a while since she had gone to the doctor’s, and she needed a prescription filled along with a checkup. Surprised to hear multiple voices in the usually vacant clinic, the Skullmonkey quickened her pace while attempting to stuff her receipts and the package of medicine into the pocket of her bright purple peacoat. Against Mom’s advice, Tourma had cut her hair above her shoulders short (relatively at least) and funky. Today it was wavy and up in a messy short pony tail with chunks of bangs falling into her face. That way, she could wear a hat and not have horrible hat hair when she removed it. When she pushed open the door to the main waiting room, she blinked stupidly and took a quick inventory. There was only one that she really recognized, and the last time she had seen him was at a hospital. “Uh… Hellllooo there?” She waved to the other people in slow, and large rainbow arc of a wave. Hitsuzen "You're joking, right? You can't possibly think I'm going to stay here by myself..." Sphinx grumbled, standing alongside his caretaker's car in the parking lot. "Get out of the car."Amon was held in the crook of one arm, the child burbling contentedly as he looked from his father to Hitsu as each spoke."Sphinx, I have to go shopping. Unless you don't want dinner tonight. I think everyone else would be a little miffed if I didn't bring home food." Hitsu explained, sounding lightly annoyed. It had been no less than ten minutes since she'd arrived and tried to drop the two off. "I'm going to look like a fool, a man carrying a diaper bag." He huffed, frowning lightly as Amon found this an appropriate moment to giggle."Look at where you are. I really doubt you're going to be the only person carrying a diaper bag." She responded, ignoring the glare she received. Finished with the argument, she put the car in gear. "I'll be back shortly, just be nice to everyone alright?" He wasn't given time to answer, as she left before he'd have chance to object. Sphinx watched her go, an expression of dread on his face. "The Gods are pissed at me." He murmured, then looked to his son. "I guess there's no choice, then. Shall we?"Amon cooed in response, though whether it was a true attempt at an answer Sphinx did not know.Slowly, father and child approached the clinic. Sphinx opened the door cautiously, as though awaiting chaos of some sort as soon as he stepped inside. He hadn't been here in a very long time, and thoughts of if people in this place would scold him for not visiting tugged at his mind. Of course, had he not been forced, he would much rather have remained at home. Surion Rakamash Having been scolded the jaguar printed dragonette skitters back to Surion and up his cloak. Wow it really was filling up in this building quickly, did they all have a medical issue? "My name is Surion" he replies having been the only one left in the room at the time of the question. His eyes travelled around the room, his hands pushing his bangs out of his face and over his ears as the wind had dislodged them Elliot Shimofuri " And who is this? " Elliot gave her a quick hug back as she moved in. Once looking back at the girl he couldn't help but notice the little one in her arms. He looked cute clutching to his mother so protectively. " Ah well you know him. Well I guess it is hard to tell with him hiding his eyes and all. " He nudged Surion to take down his hood. " Take down your hood man." Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania seems to pale the moment the male spoke his name. Looking at Elliot she shakes her head then tries to smile " This is Seiji, he is my adopted son." taking a step back, her hand seems to tremble as she clutches her bag " I need to um...go get some more books." turning she gives a wave to the other people before moving back to the counter. Setting Seiji down, she breathes in slowly before she closes her eyes. Why did she just get smacked hard, or at least felt like it. Blinking, she looks down at she felt a small hand on her cheek. Seiji wrinkles his face up before he attempts to slip back into his mother's hold. Tinania smiles as she holds her son, turning back toward the others around her. Her eyes kept darting back toward Surion and Elliot only to dart away again. She needed a distraction, just so she didn't make her way back to the two boys. XBear For a moment she simply watched the ongoings quietly before following the girl with the delicate butterfly wings, which were colorful and caught her attention easily. Plus she had a cute little kid that hopefully wasn't near pooping time yet. "Hey there little kid thing and owner," Tourma said in a sweet talk to babies voice, giving the older girl a smile to show she meant no ill will with her terminology. "Oh and don't worry, boys are dumbshits, and I'm Tourma. Sup?" Hitsuzen Sphinx stepped into the clinic in silence, swiftly making his way to a vacant chair. There were lots of people here. Well, it was even more crowded at home, but he still found this awkward. Glancing around quietly, he assumed that none of them had noticed his arrival. That would be great. He could remain invisible until Hitsu came back to take them home. Easy.Meanwhile, Amon wriggled a bit in Sphinx's arms until he could get a look at this new room. There were new people all around, and from the smile on the infant's face this was apparently a good thing. He gave a joyful squeal, apparently announcing his presence. Surion Rakamash "What? oh, sorry I'm used to WaterDeep and Skullport" he pushes the hood down, and then almost as an afterthought he pulls the ring off his other features becoming visible, his wings still folded away, there seemed to be enough... different people here hiding his appearance wouldn't be an issue. He slips the ring into a safe pocket in his cloak as the young woman who had been talking walks away "Uhh" now he's confused, people here seemed to know him, least one anyways. He notices the one with teh infant, even the flamboyant young woman who had opinions of males he did not agree with.
Surion pulls off his cloak setting it on a nearby chair, the Psuedo dragon he had with him jumped down and settled onto of itSenti on the other hand decided to explore the people in the room, he'd already met the redheadded boy now he headed for Sphinx and the baby, he was small, only fierce when he wanted to be Elliot Shimofuri " Woah thats cool. " He said looking over at Surion's horns. He was definitely not from around here. Shaking his head he remembered he had come here for a reason. " Be right back man. " Elliot said as he shuffled his way over the to receptionist and handed her a note. After a few minutes she handed him another note and a clip board to fill out. " Man I hate filling these things out." He groaned. Krista_Darkangel_Silme Tinania focus on Tourma before holds nods "I'm Tinania, and this is my son Seiji." looking down at Seiji, his eyes deem focus on Tourma fluffy tail. It was so bright and colorful like his mommie wings. moving his claws, he seems to reach out towards Tourma. Tinania blinks before she looks towards Tourma again "Your right, they do. But not all boys. This one here is a sweetheart and seems he wants your attention." she wasn't actually use to Seiji wanting to leave her arms. Everywhere they went he would hide his face if someone tried to even touch him. XBear "That's because he's still all mini and stuff still," she made a face at him and playfully whapped him with her tail before dangling it just out of his reach of the wee one. "Yeah, I know Elliot, but I doubt he really remembers me. Who's the horny long haired one?" Peering over towards the two boys, Tourma caught sight of the new arrivals, waving at them to be polite before turning her attention back to Nani. "So I guess you don't go out as much now that you've got Kiddo here?" Hitsuzen Amon was distracted by all of the smells, sounds and colors for several moments. Until... What was that? He peered down toward the floor, at the little dragon that was curiously approaching. He blinked, expression curious. Then, he gave a toothless grin to the creature, and reached toward the floor as if wishing to pick it up.Returning Tourma's kind gesture, if not just barely, Sphinx was a few seconds late in noticing their visitor. When he looked back, however, he certainly noticed? "What the heck is that?" He said, raising a brow. It was small, and to Sphinx it didn't seem like it could be much of a threat. He'd keep an eye on it, though. He didn't want it to bite the child. Or him, for that matter. Elliot Shimofuri A very loud chirping ring tone filled the clinic's waiting room with tune of Sarajevo Christmas Eve. Elliot shuffled through his many pockets in which he finally found his purple razor cell phone. " Hello, this is Elle?" He said in his usual cheerful voice. " Oh, yeah I just picked it up. Yeah Mom....yeah...alright I will. Wait don't go into my room...there is nothing in that box...wait...mom...MOM! Gah! She hung up. " Elliot said a little bit frustrated. He looked up at Surion. " I have to go before mom finds my stash..." He said in a hushed tone to Surion. " Hey but if you need a place to stay since you don't seem like your come from around here." Reaching into his pocket and pulling out a card with his name an phone number on it. It also read ' Lucky Chopsticks, Elliot Shimofuri , 555-912-4444'
" Well see you again Surion. " He said turning toward the door. He gave a quick wave to Tinania. " See you! " And with a quick step Elliot headed out. Surion Rakamash "Hey yeah ok, thanks" he didnt think he'd need a place to stay he planned on returning to skullport late that night. He took the number anyways though pocketting it, it might come in handy in the future. His attention was split as he made sure the dragonette was behaving. Well that left Surion kinda standing there doing not a whole lot, so he decided to figure out what kind of healing they practised here and explored a littleSenti on the other hand didnt find the baby exactly what he wanted, he was far too adventurous, and he sensed yet another dragon-like creature here and scurried around the room till he could see the child standing by the two females, and from there crept slowly closer to look Krista_Darkangel_Silme "Not as much as I use to. Have to keep this one from trying to hurt himself." Tinania chuckles as watches Seiji eyes go wide from the pop to his face by the tail. Lifting his hand Seiji rubs at his face before he attempts for the tail again. How dare it smack him in the face, when he got ahold of it. It was getting sucked on as far as he was concerned. Tinania couldn't help but chuckle again as she looks at Tourma "Yea I know Elliot also. I think he might have a crush on me, as he always seems to freeze up when I am around." pausing she glances down at Senti, her brow rasing as she watches Senti creep closer towards them. Surion Rakamash "Senti come" Surion says and heads for his cloak. The Pseudo dragon hops off of it as Surion picks it up. The young man slips on the cloak extending a hand to Kuyl who quickly moves up it back to his place on Surion's shoulderSenti looks back and forth between the girls, the child and Surion, Senti want see he pouts for a moment but opts AGAINST getting left behind and scurries over to Surion and up his cloak"Nice to meet you.. maybe we'll see each other in future if I'm in Gaia" he says to the females and nods his head to the male "Bye to you too" he pulls the ring on once more before slipping back out the door

Posted: Mar 11, 2008Surion's Scribbles This place, this world, while I know it's where I'm from, I cannot tell anyone that I remember it, some places feel like they should be familiar but they aren't.
On top of that there are people here who seem to know me, I cannot place them or remember them. I found out the word o my ring.. Tinania isn't just any word either, it's a person, the redhead guy... Elliot called her Nani, the way he was speaking... it was like I should know her. She is very attractive, But I don't know, I cannot say I remember... at all
Lo knows... I do want to remember more, perhaps some of these people can help. After all, I don't even know my whole name...

Posted: Mar 11, 2008 6:00 pm Luna the Counsellor? Open RP transcribed from page 899-901 of main threadSurion Rakamash Surion walks through town, he'd plain shifted once again, more curiousities and desires to maybe recall anything from his past on the top of his mind. With cloak closed and hood up obscuring parts of his face he pauses in front of the building he'd entered last time which had had people who seemed to know him the last timeBonded know this place yes yes chirps the little jaguar patterened dragonette on his shoulder into his mindThe other dragon that was on his opposite shoulder just silently watched protectivelyAfter a moment's contemplation and a soft reply of "I know" to the dragonnette he pulls the door open stepping inside Junyi Actually WORKING at the GMFC was something Luna didn't think she could ever get used to. But then again, there wasn't much for her to do. Just sit around, talk to people, play with the blocks... it was just like old times, really. Now, she'd taken off her sandals (again) and was on her knees on the reception desk, rooting through some of the cabinets she couldn't reach otherwise. Now where, where, where on earth were those cotton balls...? She'd sensed the visitors to the clinic before they entered, but she still whirled in surprise as the door opened. And as she regarded Surion with the look of a deer caught in a pair of headlights, she still sent a faint poke his way; a pang of recognition and a question that could be anything from "what are you doing here?" to "can I help you?" Surion Rakamash He pauses in the door it was half closed behind of him. After a moment of hesitation the young man steps in completely "Hello" he replies now very much used to the feelings of others projecting ... or at least speaking in his mind. Surion lowers the hood of his cloak his long very dark blue hair falling loose around himSenti's little head tips his head to one side curious about the female within Junyi Ah! Luna knew him, after all! With a shy smile, she gathered the hem of her skirt in one hand and lowered herself to the ground. It had been a long time since she'd last seen Surion; she barely remembered him at all. But here he was, and here she was, and here were some adorable little dragons, yes they were, yes they were! --But enough cooing; how was he? Surion Rakamash It was much emptier in the building this time, to some degree this relieved him, though at the same time not. "You seem, well you feel familiar somehow" he muses after a moment. Surion seemed a lil secretive if anything but that was how he was these days, he'd not tell anyone where he lived, or where he went when he left. The red psudo dragon sits up more on Surion's shoulderSenti watches for a moment but then skips down his arm onto the seats nearby and then curiously towards Luna Junyi Luna rather liked it when it was quiet. She still felt rather overwhelmed when the clinic was full; it was always a welcome break when it cleared out. But really, enough about her. Why was Surion here? Was there something he needed? Something Luna could do for him? ...And would the little curious one mind if she petted it? Surion Rakamash Surion watches Senti scamper away towards the female and then unhooks his cloak setting it on a chair the psudo dragon hopping down atop of it almost as if to guard it. Senti stops right in front of Luna standing on his hind legs looking up at her"Seems Senti likes you" he muses watching the dragonette before approaching Junyi Ah, was Senti its name? Luna reached out tentatively to gently stroke the underside of Senti's chin. And, Luna added as an afterthought, it would seem Surion did not remember Luna all that well. The feeling, she reassured him, was mutual. She punctuated her projection with a sheepish smile. Surion Rakamash Senti looks at her hand apprehensively for a moment but then lets her, his wings move contently as he doesHe stops at the counter, Senti's ease around her reassured him in a way "I've been here once recently, some seem to know me, but... I don't know how" he seemed almost hesitant to share this little bit of information with her Junyi Luna continued to gently pet Senti as she mulled over this new information. Why, she wondered, was Surion guarding this information; that he did not know how others knew him? She understood well that it was troubling to him, but did it, perhaps, embarrass him? Surion Rakamash Embarassed no, just very secretive. "I'm Surion by the way" he offered no last name, he did not know it. "This is Senti.." he motions the dragonette Luna was petting, "and the other over there is Kuyl"Senti didn't move from the petting he seemed contentKuyl on the other hand was laying protectively atop the cloak on guard Surion Rakamash Embarassed no, just very secretive. "I'm Surion by the way" he offered no last name, he did not know it. "This is Senti.." he motions the dragonette Luna was petting, "and the other over there is Kuyl"Senti didn't move from the petting he seemed contentKuyl on the other hand was laying protectively atop the cloak on guard Junyi Why was that? Why did Surion feel the need to be so secretive? Surion Rakamash Surion fell silent, he didn't know what to say. Faeyrun was a world where it was safest to guard your secrets, to not share too much information with anyone at all, and Surion did not know how to explain it without seeming offensive Junyi But what Surion had just said; not recalling others... That wasn't a secret. It was an easily recognizable fact. Surion Rakamash "I know why but... thats besides the point, I'm trying to see if I can , well.. remember anything from my past" he sighs not being completely open, but enough to maybe see if she had any ideas or suggestions Junyi Luna smiled reassuringly, shifting her weight on the floor so that she was sitting comfortably. It would only frustrate him and depress him if he struggled fruitlessly to remember his past. But what he was doing now; exposing himself to familiar sights and simply being there... that was a step in the right direction. Just let the memories come as they may. Perhaps, she reasoned, they would resurface on their own. And if they didn't, then at least he would be making new memories. Surion Rakamash He smiled but he held little hope of the memories returning of their own accord, he'd been trying to remember for a while, it had only been during the last plane shift he'd made that he found out the word on his ring was not just a word, it was the name of a person. "We'll see" he muses Junyi All things take time, Luna reminded him gently. Obviously, the memories were still there if he still had flashes of familiarity Surion Rakamash "This is a true fact" he agrees. Surion shifts his weight, he found her easy to talk to, which was a good thing in his mind Junyi Well, that was Luna's job, after all. GMFC counselor, at his service! 3nodding Surion Rakamash Surion laughs, she 'sounded' so official in what he got from her. He shakes his head smiling, "well thankyou" he tells her. He leans more against the counter a bit, his loose shirt settling comfortably, he was not wearing anything like he used to save his pants which were very similar to what he always wore in the past, one thing had very much changed though, he no longer hid the scars that littered his torso and shoulders, least not the way he once did Junyi Luna laughed quietly. It was something to get used to; that much was for certain. But if Surion ever needed someone to talk to; even someone to just listen... Luna would always be here. Sure, it was her job, but she wouldn't have taken it if she didn't want to help others. Surion Rakamash The dragonic male straightens up once more "I do appreciate your time..." he pauses his words listening to the chittering dragonette in his head and then chuckles "And Senti likes your petting" he adds Junyi And Luna enjoyed petting Senti, too! 4laugh But more importantly, Luna was happy to have helped in any way. Surion was welcome in the clinic any time; after all, he was one of them. Surion Rakamash 'One of them??' Surion's face was clouded with some confusion he was unsure what this meant Junyi One of the children of the GMFC, of course. Why else would he find this place so familiar, mm? Surion Rakamash Surion looked at a loss for words trying to sort this information out. He did wonder why, but never really had put two and two together "I am?" Junyi Luna nodded resolutely. Yes. He was. Surion Rakamash The look of confusion never left Surion's face even as she confirmed this statement."I... Uh..." he had no idea what to say Junyi Don't try to overthink it, Luna warned him. New, surprising information is like a puzzle. You may certainly be tempted to solve it right away, but difficult puzzles are tricky, frustrating things. And you may want to throw it away if you don't solve it right away. But imagine that this new information is a puzzle Luna just gave him. Simply hold onto it. Don't even try to solve it. Just keep it. Maybe one day, you will look at it and know instinctively how to solve it, but until that day, don't force it. Surion Rakamash Surion nods slowly "Yeah" he looks around a bit, well what she said did make sense, even if those memories were absent. Perhaps there was something about this place which would unlock something from his past... And help sort out what the draw was he felt the need to plain shift for. Junyi With a happy sigh, Luna stood and brushed the dust off her skirt. She certainly hoped he'd find the answers he was looking for. But even if he didn't... She hoped the new memories he was making now would be happy ones. Surion Rakamash Senti could sense Surion's feelings and skitters back up Surion's arms onto his shoulder Bonded ok? it chittered in his headSenti's question snapped Surion out of his stare "What? oh.. yeah Senti I'm fine" then turns his attention back to Luna "Confusing information, but I suppose it makes sense... Would also explain how people here knew me" he states with a nod. Junyi Just hold onto the information for now, Luna reminded him gently. And do come by more often. Surion Rakamash Surion nods "Yeah I will... well I should probably go" he had a lot to think about, which he planned to do in his favorite thinking spot in Faerun Junyi Then Luna will see him another day! With an added request for him to stay safe, she once again climbed up on the reception desk and resumed her search. Surion Rakamash Surion nods and walks over picking up his cloak and slipping it on, both dragons settling back onto his shoulders. "Thankyou.." he says to her watching her a moment before turning and heading for the door.

Posted: April 26, 2008New Faces "Okay Surion, tell Dragono I'll be back at the inn in a while, I want to go to the lake for a bit too before returning" The woman was speaking to a young man with very dark blue hair which contained silver streaks. The male was taller then her by a few inches, wearing black pants and a off-white top and black vest. On top of that a black cloak, but the part that stood out most about him was the small dragons that sat on his shoulders, a deep red one with black parts on him and a cougar print and colored one with a very long tail.
"Right, ok, well we know where to find you then if we need you" The young man nods and turns disappearing into the crowd.
The woman now was alone, she wore pants that were almost black but closer to a midnight blue that barely stayed on her hips and were baggy. She also wore a off white top. Her hair was long, close to her waist and nearly black but if the light hit it just so it shone with a hint of blue. She carried in her arms a cloak also black and she seemed to be fidgeting with something underneath it as she browsed the shops around her.
A tall young man wondered through the market place looking around. Exploring the new area he had just arrived in. It was all new and all so different then from where he was from. He looked around over the people seeing everything and everyone. A place like this was all new and so strange to him. He moved light on his feet around the crowd. His light gray cloak moved with him covering his over the top clothing and bright silver hair, the only thing that really shown of him was his Ice blue eyes piercing the sunlight.
Shicala does a very abrupt about face done with what she was looking at, she did not watch where she was going as she moved. Nothing seemed extremely unique about this woman, she appeared about 20 maybe a year or two older in age.
“Whoa” he spoke startled as a woman turns into him. Something had caught his eye as well and he wasn't fully aware of her till he ran into her “I am so sorry” he spoke regaining his balance. He looked down to see who he had run into hoping they were not upset by his lack of awareness.
"Oops" she catches her own balance and scrambles to pick up her cloak which she'd dropped. "I am sorry I wasn't watching" she spoke and her apology came out the exact same time as his
He kneeled down to try and help her pick it up smiling as he stood " it was my fault" he spoke just loud enough to hear. Keeping this cloak tight around him.
Taking the cloak from him she pushes her hair over her ear "It's ok, honest" She raises a brow, her blue eyes watching his peculiar behavior, she had stuff she hid herself... but still...
He flipped his cloak hood down after he handed her the item she dropped. His light skin and hair shinned in the light. "still was rude of me"
"You are forgiven" she slips her cloak over her shoulders so she doesn't have so much to carry, "I wasn't really watching where I was going either"
He smiled lightly looking down making sure everything was picked up. "That makes two of us"
She didn't have anything else with her so there was nothing left to pick up. Something about the silver hair on the man before her struck something, like a long lost memory that she couldn't remember. "I'll keep closer eye when I turn"
He smiled and flipped his cloak back up and went on his way to what had found his eye
Shicala watches him for a moment and then she herself works through the marketplace heading for the gate that heads out to the lake
He picked up what he needed from the shops around. Looking over the people for a way out he was not the biggest fan of all this many people in one area. He headed out the gate to what looked like an open area. He began to wonder
She passes him not really noticing him, she pauses at the gates to the city turning to see if anyone followed and then slips out into the trees
He wondered around looking at this new territory it was of huge interest him. He couldn't believe how great it was.
She relaxes slightly as she gets deeper into the trees, she was heading to her favorite place to think, usually alone, rarely with her son or Dragono. She also found it to be the one place she could really be... herself. Once there she stood on the beach and stared out at the water after setting the cloak on a nearby rock
After a few he began to follow the girl who had passed him. Something about her intrigued him as he tracked her keeping his safe distance behind. Making sure to keep a mental track of the land he passed.
She didn't notice his presence as she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. Letting her concerns wash away as she plays with the ring she wore on her right middle finger
He stood at the tree line watching her. Wondering what she was doing.
She slips the ring off pocketing it, not knowing she was being watched, and that in it's own released the spell that hid what made her different from everyone around her. A long thin black draconic tail and a short pair of black horns no more then 2 inches tall was all he would see from behind her at this point
He watched her. His jaw dropped in wow as he watched her transform.
"Better" she says softly to herself, she hated hiding what she was, but Dragono had long ago told her and Surion that people who looked like the two of them did were not people that would be normally if ever seen here.
He studied her from his hiding spot "wow" his whispered smiling he couldn't believe it was the same person.
Her head turned abruptly looking in his direction, her hearing was extremely good because of what race she was. A look of shock registered on her face to see someone standing there. The sun hit the blue gem firmly embedded in her forehead as she stared
He hid deeper in the thicket of the tree line trying not to be seen. He saw the refection and knew what she was he smiled slightly
"I know you are there" she calls out slipping the ring back on quickly
"Why hide?" He shouted from the tree line keeping his cloak held tight
"I could ask you that too" she replies looking towards the trees and then slowly heading for them
He prepared his stance to run " I am not hiding who I am just from you" he replied as he shifted
"Okayyy..." she replies and after a moment ... almost literally vanishes. Though she was still there.
He listened awaiting to hear her movement
She didn't move for a long time and then she did taking a light step forward
He didn't understand where she was he couldn't hear her. He whistled lightly listening for the reverb of the sound waves
She didn't stop moving till she was beside him and then she became visible once more "Why are you hiding" she asks
He jumped back "she's fast" he thought "I hide from all" he replied pulling his hood lower
"I see" she says and crosses her arms looking at him, she looked exactly as she had in the city as she stood beside him.
He looked at her closer his eyes filling in what he saw earlier he re-questioned the thought earlier 'she is more then appears' he smirked lightly
"So?" she turns and walks away from him towards the water once more. She'd been so careful till this point, she didn't know where she'd let her guard slip.
"I am sorry" he spoke softly
She looks over her shoulder back at him. "For what?" she asks him
"Following you" he replied flipping his cloak down
"It was bound to happen eventually" she admits and then stops looking back at him "I just need to watch my surrounding better"
He smiled lightly "I shouldn't of followed you"
"I'll survive" she smiles at him and nods, "What made you follow me anyways?"
"Something about you just intrigued me" he replied smiling lightly
"I see, I guess there's not much point in hiding it from you... you've already seen... most of it" she slips the ring off once more
He chuckled lightly " I don't bite too hard"
"But I do" she grins revealing the two sharp canines in her mouth.
He laughed "don't think human tastes all that great"
"All blood tastes good by me but... I don't drink much of it lately" she turns and wanders back to the water's edge where she had been when she first noticed his presence
He didn't move just watched he felt bad he must of ruined her day
She pauses and looks back. She lifts her hand in front of her, never looking away from him, if he could see well enough he'd see her eyes shift a bright emerald green and she was creating a ball of water in front of her
He watched her actions, his eyes moving from her to the water
"Don't make me start a water fight" she laughs "Come out here" she grins
He slowly walked out keeping an eye on her "Water fight?" he asked as he walked up
She laughs and throws the ball of water in his direction, dodging it would be difficult, it would seem she had a control on the ball of water which was ... un-natural
He turned awaiting the impact
It stopped right in front of him.... it did not hit him
He turned back once he realized he wasn't wet he raised an eyebrow at her
She laughs "I said don't make me start a water fight" seeing his expression
He now realized what she meant "you wouldn't?" he asked not really knowing her
"What wouldn't I do?" she grins as the ball of water split into 2
"Why do I have a feeling my cloak is going to be soaked" he groaned not moving
"It wouldn't be... if you would come out of back there" she smiles giving him one more chance to come out from behind the trees
He shifted his wait and ran forward not wanting to be soaked in water
The water disappears completely and Shicala's eyes return to blue. "That's better" she takes a deep breath "I'm Shicala by the way... That's my name"
" Nice to meet you" He smiled "They call me Tenor"
"You aren't from around here are you?" she abruptly asks as he gets near
"Not really I just wonder anymore" he replied looking out onto the water
Shic nods "we've been here over a year... I don't remember where we came from before" She follows his gaze "You like the water?"
He nods as she speaks "I love it" he replied watching it reflect the sunlight onto his pale skin
"So do I, and I have some control over it, well technically I have a lot of control over it, it's something I can do..." She stands right beside of him looking at the lake
He smiled "control of it?" he asked now knowing how she could of soaked him
"Yeah, I can control water, and create it too" she smiles, she slips the off-white shirt off, revealing a tank top, puts it with her cloak and then sits down on the ground.
He looked at her in confusion
She didn't notice him looking down, she was looking at the water still and playing slightly with her hair.
He smiled lightly watching her every action
Her back was slightly visible, the skin seemed, unusual... Unlike anyone else of her people besides her own son, it shimmered slightly and had two small round spots on her shoulder. "It's peaceful out here" she muses quietly
