] ╔══════════════╗ ¤*Amarante*¤ ╚══════════════╝ Upon returning after an unsuccessful hunt for her target she had no doubt that he was hiding somewhere from her. Her return to the headquarters had proved to be the same as her other trips, on her return trip she had detoured away from the base and had done some training. Her return to the headquarters brought a terrifying new change to her appearance. Now covered from head to toe in a armor she stepped foot into the premises of the headquarters. To her surprise a familiar chakra presence came her way, it was indeed the aura of her partner Lilith, despite not seeing her in what seemed like years she was easily remembered by the bright ninja who once called herself Inari. She now mostly went by Amarante, her appearance had been very well changed, but she was still recognizable by her body language and her attitude.
“Well well, look who it is… Lilith-chan it has certainly been a while,” her voice was now cold and somewhat muffled by the armor, making her sound somewhat like a robot. Her steps were as graceful as ever despite making a metal sound with every step. The Ivory armor was contrasted by the black Akatsuki cloak wrapped around her waist and worn over her legs. She crossed her arms as she walked towards her elder akatsuki, her arrogance reassured with her next statement, “hopefully you recognize ore-sama” referring to herself in an extremely arrogant manner. Her speech was more proper now, despite her over whelming arrogant attitude. “It surely has been a while, you look nothing like you did last time I saw you, I’m sure I do to.” She moved past her old partner and walked right into the building. “I believe it would be best we talked, agreed?” Entering the room she noticed the ring on the table. Her former reading on the Akatsuki had once bore her ill feelings when thinking about the ring that she had been robbed of. Reaching down she smiled under her expressionless mask. Placing the ring on her thumb she looked down at her right arm, now covered mostly by armor she wore her Akatsuki headband on her bicep. Her form now bulked up with more muscle mass.
Seeming like a completely different person she had no problem honing her new powers. The lightning powers and jutsu she had learned before she left were amplified by her now metallic body. Her swordplay had been improved and her seven sword style well honed. The training she had done wonders for her body and mind. Now more confident in her mysterious armor donning the ring of her former position holder master Pain. Without even looking back towards whether or not Lilith was back in the room “I have a personal mission of my own, but that will nonetheless slow down our ambition as Akatsuki, I do believe we have quite a bit of work to do. Under the orders of the Akatsuki scriptures we have a couple problems before hand regardless.” Realizing full well that Lilith was her superior she nonetheless calmly and orderly spoke as if she was the leader of the entire organization. “Whether or not you want to listen to me is none of my concern. I believe I act under the guidelines of the organization when I say that we need to first need to fill the ranks of the organization. The few of us, no matter how strong we are, cannot manage to control this misshapen land by ourselves.” The eyes of the mask allowed her to easily sense chakra levels when looking at someone. Her body and power both increased dramatically by her new armor, that she was still learning how to fully harness. The point remained the same, they really did need to fill the numbers of the Akatsuki, and then move forward with their domination. “So what do you say partner, shall we consider finding some organization worth members?”

Lilith Zakura Five years have passed by, and what a long five years it has been. The five years were split in to three main activities. One was training, always important to stay at the top of your game. Her body hasn't changed a bit over the past five years. She still had the same tiny build, but any who took her apperance for being weak was a fool. The second thing she spent her time on was scouting towns. She would scout each and every village that she could in the time frame for ways in, their defenses, and hopefully any potential members that would be interested in joining the Akatsuki. There were a few ninja's out in the world today that wanted to join the Akatsuki, knowing of their past and the privilege that it would be to be a member. But sadly most that she found weren't qualified to join. The only current members of the group, at least that she knew about were her, Inari, and Kagame. The third thing she would do was search for Inari. She would always return to the HQ hoping to see her note and ring moved showing she has returned. But it was five long years, and day after day the ring and note sat on the table collecting dust. When she traveled to the villages scouting she looked for her, but no luck. There was no trail of her at all. Wherever she was, she did a great job at covering her tracks. Lilith could not even find a hint to where she was, as much as this fact frustrated her, she was sort of impressed by this. Lilith generally had no trouble tracking people down. Underworld connections really helped her out in that department.
Lilith stood in front of the entrance of the Akatsuki building staring off down one of the paths that led to the HQ. She had spent many days just staring off down the trail deep in thought. Her eyes blinked an elongated blink before she opened them. Her eyes quickly shot to the left as she sensed someone's presence making their way towards her. It seemed so familiar, but she couldn't put a finger on exactly who it was. But the voice, even muffled, and even so cold sounding she could recognize that voice. It was one she hasn't heard in to long. She turned to face her old friend for the first time in ages. "Inari....." She whispered under her breath, unsure if she was imagining this whole thing. She just stared at Inari speechless as she approached her. She has changed so much, that was most definitely true. Her voice different, mannerisms, and attitude. She could tell already, it seemed she had grown up in the past five years. She looked over Inari's new appearance, and well she was now armored from head to toe. She wondered if she looked the same under the armor.
She followed Inari in to the HQ, her steps were silent and barely noticeable, especially behind the clinking of Inari's new armor. Lilith could only imagine what kind of power that armor held for her. Inari entered the main hall, Lilith quickly followed and stopped once entering the main hall staring at the table. She just watched quietly as Inari took what was rightfully hers, her ring. The emblem of her acceptance. It was long overdue, but she finally had it. Lilith wanted to say something, but she wasn't very good at knowing what to say in most situations. So she was glad when Inari brought up the business of the Akatsuki. "A personal mission?" Was her only response to all that Inari through her way. Lilith began to pace back and forth a bit running her hands against the walls of the building. Her fingertips successfully felt the roughness of the walls, and collect dust. She stopped walking and let her hand slowly slide down the wall as it fell to her side. She turned her head so she could stare at Inari's mask. "We will find members. I have been trying for the past five years..... I haven't had much luck. But perhaps if your personal mission is big enough to take notice...." She said letting her sentence trail off. "Let's take care of your business. Afterwards we will find more members...." she said as she walked back towards the main hall's exit and stood in front of it. She popped her umbrella up and rested it against her shoulder. "Lead the way Inari, I would like to join you in this, if you don't mind of course." Regardless of Inari's answer, she was going to follow her anyway.

] ╔══════════════╗ ¤*Amarante*¤ ╚══════════════╝ Inari’s mask showed no emotion, making her even more difficult to analyze. Her moods constantly swung before. But that was five years ago. The changes she had gone through had continued to make her a more perfect fighter than before. She was now almost entirely unphased by emotional draw backs and involvement of fighting. Her goals were now more concrete and stable. She posed an enormous threat to past and future opponents who would no doubt attempt to cloud her mind in the manner she had allowed them to before. It was almost as if Amarante was an entirely different person. The armor allowed her to show it on the outside and her honing of skills would show how much she had internally grown. Her skills with the seven blades were increased to a near perfect level. Her affinity for lightning chakra had improved as well using the metallic armor as a conduit to further increase her abilities with lightning elemental jutsu. The Curse mark’s lash back on her abilities was now so slight that she hardly noticed it. She had become incredibly resilient to outer pain, she still hurt when she was hit but showed no signs of faltering. Her endurance was increased dramatically during her training. The past five years had been spent mostly in seclusion, she had acquired the armor and begun training, that was how she had spent her years. To say she missed Lilith was an understatement. As partners they were bound by both Akatsuki code and an unseen bond that allowed them to work so in sync five years ago. It was apparent that that hadn’t gone away in her absence.
In terms of pure combat ability, at this moment it seemed like Inari had the advantage over Lilith, but in terms of chakra level and overall power, it was obvious that Lilith was still more powerful. It wouldn’t be long however before Inari’s innate combat prowess and special techniques would push her past Lilith. Whether or not that day came soon Lilith was still the superior, despite how it seemed with her offering to following Inari and everything that was going on. It would seem they took different paths during their five year stints of seclusion. Lilith had done a ton of research on the villages and on potential recruit ninja. If she knew where they could find new Akatsuki then it would be wise for her to lead the way, but still she insisted on following Amarante on her mission. She had been convinced that during her training she would vow revenge on those who had exposed her as weak in the past. This included everyone who had defeated her in the past. Of all of the names that came to mind Adell Temuri’s name returned again and again, she was curious as to how strong he had become since she had left him last. Inari still considered herself a top ninja of her class, as well as being capable of fighting ninja above her own level. She bore such resentment towards him for really no reason at all, he hadn’t done too much to her to inspire such a vendetta on himself. Regardless she felt as if he had to die in order for her to live as an Akatsuki. If anyone knew about her existence they would be able to hunt her down and would ruin her ability of being incognito as an agent of the organization. She without a doubt needed to eliminate the threats to her character, everyone had shadows of their past that haunt them and she was sure that Lilith had the same ghosts. She would allow her a chance to hunt down her past as well.
As far as Amarante knew, there was only three Akatsuki agents active right now. Herself, Lilith, and Kagame, she had done her homework on the organization and the fact that she held the Rei ring that once belonged to the leader of the Akatsuki. Inari had grown her own mind to the fact that she could full well become the leader of the entire organization, neither Kagame nor Lilith possessed what appeared to Inari as the potential leader of the organization. Although she was the most junior agent of the organization she had no doubt that she possessed the drive to become the leader, she would put the bug in Lilith's ear that she planned to approach Kagame about the leadership of the organization. But for now they had certain things to attend to.
"If you truly wish to follow me on my mission, we will be leaving at once. I suspect that my target will be making his way towards the Hidden Mist village." Crossing her arms she turned towards the entrance and sat back on the table, "Right now with our partnership being the only two who are making things happen. That would explain why the organization is growing at such a low rate. You claim to have to leads on recruits. If we have some leads on people we can attempt to train into being agents..." Standing up she walked to the door and looked out at the wintery landscape, "at the very least we can look to do is put them into the ground. If they aren't worth turning into an agent, we will have some fun in the process." Amarante seemed more driven than ever, she had never felt so driven to do something, even her feigned title "Heroine of the Mist" meant nothing to her compared to the power she harnessed now. She would travel with Lilith to recruit new Akatsuki agents while disposing of their pasts in an orderly fashion their true mission as Akatsuki began today, five years prior to Inari's first joining.

] ╔══════════════╗ ¤*Amarante*¤ ╚══════════════╝ Somewhere between the Hidden Leaf Village and the Akatsuki headquarters Inari Amarante sat alone on the rocks near the Naka River that ran past the village. She sat overlooking the river listening the rushing water run through the ground with such impressive force. In her hand she spiraled a small mass of chakra reminiscent of a small rasengan, but with a fraction of its power. She had become so powerful since her journey had begun and she couldn’t take the life of one boy, this thought frustrated her greatly. Closing her palm she crushed out the chakra mass and laid back on the rock, her metal body crashing against the rocks. “What am I doing? I have no way now of realizing my dreams of becoming a storied heroine, if the kage are standing against us does that mean we are on the wrong side of this war?” She seriously contemplated the fact that the Akatsuki may not be a smiled upon as she thought they were after all. Although she thought the people were enthralled by her presence she thought it might have also been, because they were following her lead, or were they just afraid of her, hoping that Adell would stop her in her tracks. On the outside the armor was crafted by her by someone on her training journey to protect her body and the injuries she had had inflicted on her body. She had been disfigured and burned greatly in that battle, she wasn’t proud of her lose by any means especially considering her body now had to be permanently covered just to function at the level she needed it to. In reality however she felt as if she was hiding inside the armor, hiding from the world, she needed more power and she wasn’t able to accomplish that on her own.
As the snow fell around her she felt a presence approaching her, a massive amount of chakra that she knew wasn’t by any means another shinobi. Closing her eyes inside her mask she awaited the arrival of the presence, whether it wanted to kill her or talk to her there was nothing she could do against such a massive chakra source. As it approached ever closer the aura became almost to much to bear. Sitting up she never turned around to face whatever approached her. In her usual arrogant tone of voice she spoke the first words, “You may as well tell me what you want, instead of just feebly trying to sneak up on me. I assume you don’t want to kill me or you would have tried already.” Looking down still at the river Inari was a tad worried about what was behind her but was brave, or stupid, enough to at least try to reason with whatever it was. With her legs crossed she placed her hands on her knees and awaited the response.
“Pitiful little girl, now that I’m closer to you I am beginning to realize just how weak you are, maybe I made a mistake.” The voice was powerful to say the least, she wasn’t sure it was anyone she recognized, but by the words he had muttered to her it was clear that he had been doing at least some sort of homework on her if he once thought her strong. As she simple sat there waiting to see if he had anything more to say she decided that it was her turn to talk again. The chakra was massive but she felt as if she would still be able to take it out, no matter how much higher the chakra was than her own she felt like she would be able to at least deal some damage, she was an Akatsuki and wasn’t worried about fighting fair so she could take shots a normal ninja wouldn’t consider.
“You underestimate me, I am currently recovering from a battle, if I wasn’t I’d love to put you on the ground next to the opponent I just defeated.” For some reason she was inclined to act more arrogant around this thing, standing up she brushed her legs off and turned around. To her surprise a massive snake was behind her, massive was an understatement, this snake towered above all else in the forest and the surrounding area, she was surprised it was able to get this close to her so silently. Smirking under her mask she realized that this creature was far more powerful than she initially could tell simply by his chakra level. “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you, apparently size does matter when it comes to snakes doesn’t it?” chuckling under her breath she looked up at the massive creature with awe as she was beginning to realize the potential of this meeting.
“Stupid girl, you’re jokes don’t impress me so stop making them. I’m here for something we can both benefit from. If you choose not to listen that’s fine but I was drawn to you for a specific reason, I would like you to be able to satisfy my needs.” The snake spoke to her as if it wanted to make a deal with her. He spoke in such a arrogant way that made Inari smile, he was similar to her in attitude, although she wasn’t as big as he was she easily realized the potential of being able to strike a deal with such a creature, a mutual agreement between warriors has never been unconsidered by Inari, if she let Adell live she would at least hear this beast out.
“Easy now big guy, my satisfying doesn’t come easy or cheap, I don’t care if you’re a big snake or not. I’m definitely not easy, especially to animals, but I’m sure that we can work something out.” Turning back around she looked over at the river as the snake brought its head up beside her and looked out with her, its massive rattling tail shaking behind it. It was a deafening sound even though it was probably hundreds of feet away. It appeared as if the snake was willing to hear Inari out. “I’m in need of serious power. Unbelievably uncontrollable power even, the fact that I am just one woman doesn’t seem to be enough for me. I hate to say this but I think I’m nearing the limit of what my body can accomplish on its own.” Crossing her arms she looked out and realized the fact that she really was approaching her body’s limit. The mask prevented her from using her peripheral vision to the point where she could see as much of the snake as she was hoping. So she turned her head and looked up at the large purple serpent. As she looked up at the snake he looked slightly down towards her and began his response.
“Hmm, so you need someone to allow you to increase your power. I happen to need someone that will help me achieve a specific goal of mine…” pausing the snake looked back out towards the river, “as much as it pains me to say, a human would be able to accomplish exactly what I need to have done. I was looking for a human ninja to help me out however…” Pausing again a sly grin came across his mouth, “you seem to me like you’re more of a weapon than a human. You are made of metal, you are a sword to be used by a usable master. And I believe that we would benefit from a contract between the two of us. My name is Manda, the king of the snakes, and if you truly would like to bring up a contract with me remove your right gauntlet and let me make the necessary chosen mark.” Looking back down the aura from the serpent began to emanate towards the iron woman. Inari smirked under her mask and chuckled again under her breath. Grabbing her glove by the wrist she turned it and her hand spun all the way around, removing the gauntlet her entire hand detached from her wrist.
“Sorry Manda, afraid that arm isn’t quite able to be written on,” Undoing the wrist armor she revealed that arm had been severed about halfway down her forearm, “lost it a few years back, sacrificed it to kill my opponent, that’s what type of warrior I have become.. my body has reached my limit and I have to start sacrificing body parts to win battles. I’m not willing to give up too much more if you know what I mean.” Even in such a serious situation talking about making a contract with a massive creature like this could be trouble. She didn’t care though as she was seriously at the point where if Manda didn’t want to complete the contract it wouldn’t be worth it. Replacing her gauntlet and bracer on her artificial hand she undid her left gauntlet and bracer to expose her arm, as pristine as it always was, with the exception of the odd scar. She was worn out, her training had caused so many wounds and battle scars that had both increased her bounty by kage controlled ninja and the damage done to her body. Rolling the sleeve up under the bracer she revealed her bare arm to the snake. “Well lets do this then, I would love to help each other out King of Snakes. We can be great friends I’m sure of it,” she sarcastically joked with the snake still. Inari flexed her hand and closed it. Slowly a intricate tattoo that would be the summoning seal for the serpent wrapped around her arm and sealed itself with a larger seal that wrapped it all up. “That’s it then? Or is there more?”
“So far so good, if you’d like to stay and chat I’d be more than delighted,” he was just as sarcastic as the young woman. A being of such magnitude would be more than reasonable an ally for someone as ambitious as Inari. In a way she reminded him of the most memorable person he had ever made a contract with, Orochimaru. “All I would need from you is the sacrifice of one hundred people, the same deal I made a long time ago. If you could simply fulfill that I would be glad to repay the favor by offering my services to you. Not that I would refuse your requests now little girl, I simply am placing the raw end of an unfinished deal on someone who I believe has the heart to finish it.” Inari placed her bracer back on but held her gauntlet in her hand as she listened to his offer. She was glad to take one hundred lives, in a way it would help her reach the heartlessness that she craved so much. Moving towards him she touched the great snake and began to talk about her own ambitions.
“Look, all I need you for is power, I will easily make a trade with you. I want you to help me defeat my enemies, no more and no less. The Akatsuki have provided me with a chance to change the world, whether that be in your interest or not is not of my concern. I hate to say that I need help but you are neither ninja nor human, so I would gladly sign myself on with you for the help that I need.” Removing her hand from his body she noticed that she had a cut on her palm, it must have been from his scales, her blood was on him now, it slowly absorbed into his skin, grinning as he spoke Manda began to go on a little speech about how he saw her, “You, little girl, have the ambition to propel us both to a fascinating new level, I think that us working together will work out great for both parties. You have not only my power to call upon but the power of all the snakes in the world. I will see you the next time you call, I am glad to have such a loyal weapon so eager to give her blood and the blood of others in my service.” With that the snake slithered off into the distance, disappearing under the flowing water of the massive river. Manda, the King of the Snakes, had left his mark upon the arm of the Heroine of the Mist.
She remained looking over the water, thinking about just what shambles her life had become. She sat down on the ground again, taking off the bracer and gauntlet of her missing hand she gazed down at the stump of flesh that was once her beautiful hand. She took off the other bracer as well, her remaining forearm covered in a mark that would bind her down with Manda until she died probably. Her death now seemed like a welcome event, she had been so disfigured and defeated so many times, she couldn’t muster the power to win a fight. She had wondered why she became an Akatsuki in the first place. To grow her own power, a selfish task, or was it to change the world, to a world which she ruled, another selfish ambition. As much as Inari tried to portray the hero she could never lose her stigma as an arrogant villain. She just wanted to be happy, something that hadn’t been an option for her for a long time. Reaching her hand onto her mask she pulled it off of her face, tears dripped into the mask. “My entire life is a struggle, I’m living in vain for a fruitless cause…” pausing she put her mask between her legs and wiped her eyes, she cringed at the feel of her own skin on her face. Feeling her face she felt the massive amount of scarring on her cheek that led up to her eye, she was no longer the woman she once was. She felt as if Adell really was wrong about her and that she had no more purpose to live for anymore. The Akatsuki were the end of the road, her contract with Manda reassured that her body was at its limit. She would now fight to the death, she had no more fear of death. “Lilith, even Kagami fears death. The inevitability that our lives will end fuels the hatred and madness of so many people. But in my right mind…” she looked down at the mask staring back up at her, “I realize that life has no greater purpose than to die, in the end… its all of our destinies. The journey means nothing, whether I die a hero or a villain isn’t up to me. It’s up to the people. Manda will only provide me with so much help. Unless I can find a greater source of power, something that I can harness to heal my body and return life to the way it was I will never be able to avoid that..” swiping the mask away from her she broke down into tears. A woman of her intelligence knew her life was meaningless, she would never find love, never be happy. Because of her arrogance and her selfishness, she drove herself to this point and knew full well that she couldn’t escape her loneliness and destiny. She would die alone, that was all there was to it. She cast her world out, she chose her own path. Looking away at the mask she rose up to her feet again. Looking down at the river she clenched her fist so tightly that it broke the skin on her hand open. She could even feel the ghost pain of her missing hand clenching its fist. “I, Inari Amarante… will destroy this world before I go… I will watch the world of ninja crumble under my feet.” Picking up the mask she placed it back on her face. “Or I will die trying…”
--
As Inari made her way towards the Akatsuki headquarters, her contract with Manda sealed and finalized she was reassured that she would be able to harness the serpent’s power in a way that would make her far more effective as an agent of the Akatsuki and in terms of her own goals. Personally her own power was great enough that she would be able to handle most opponents on her level as long as she didn’t try to fight someone to above her own level she would be able to handle herself just fine. Manda had convinced her that she was stronger than she realized and that he was going to be able to help her achieve the goals of the Akatsuki. The fact that he said he had worked for the Akatsuki before made her uneasy about the fact that the reality of the ninja was that they came and went with every generation just like everyone else. That would mean that unless she could find a way to lengthen her own life span she would only be able to accomplish so much in her lifetime. That depressing realization pushed her mind even further that she would need to be able to become something more than just a shinobi, she would work to turn herself into more of a symbol for the Akatsuki and for misguided prodigies across the ninja world. The fact that Manda was so calm about the truth about the passing of time, reassured that Inari was only human, she had seen herself as so unstoppable that she had neglected to realize the extensive damage to her body and the fact that she was deteriorating much quicker than a normal ninja.
Her arrival at the headquarters came with her walking to her quarters with her head down. She didn’t know who was there to welcome her and didn’t care. As she entered her quarters she looked up, books strewn across the room, filled with markings and tabs keeping her place. Screaming she knocked them across the room. She was miserable, her life was worthless, Manda was right, she was a weapon, she wasn’t a hero. She was a weapon of the Akatsuki and she knew that. The saddest realization that there was nothing that could be done besides welcoming her own death, sitting on the bed she openly wept. Removing her bracer and gauntlet of her right arm she drew her sword with her false hand. Spinning it in her hand she placed the blade up to her wrist. Tears running down her face and filling her mask she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
A loud scream came from Inari’s quarters. The rest of the night was spent in silence…

After things back at the Hidden Leaf village and the whole fiasco caused by Inari, things sort of just fell out. Inari and her partner Lilith had some matters of their own to tend to so it had been arranged that halfway through their trip away from the Village Hidden in the Leaves, one of the lower ranking members of their organization known as the Akatsuki would be his personal guide back to their hideout. He was told that he would be able to meet and speak with their current leader once he had arrived there, though he wasn't entirely sure to expect. Inari was a rather strange woman that wore a full suit of molded armor, which she could channel her lightning based techniques through. All he knew of Lilith was her intellect and that strangely dark aura she gave off. If the rest of this group was as strange as them, they had better hope they could give him what he wanted or he was simply going to slaughter those he could (more likely than not the entirety of their lesser members) and leave. He followed just behind the masked shonbi as they leapt through the trees. Being told they were almost there, he barely nodded, glad that the boring trip was almost done with. When they finally left the trees and slowed down, he was lead over to what was the hidden entrance to the secret hideout of the Akatsuki. His travel guide performed a few hand seals to reveal the entrance itself. After being given the right of way inside, he folded his arms over his chest and headed inside, absentmindedly considering the idea of beheading this minion, but decided he would do so after being officially let into the group. It would give the others less excuse to bother him over it. As he headed inside, he continued down the main hallway until he got deeper and reached what was likely the main room. Standing there with his arms over his chest he looked around curiously. " Where is the one called Kagami...?"
