I know nothing of bidding and auctions. I don't know how long it normally takes until someone usually begins bidding...

With a high starting bid it usually takes a while to get it started, but at least you are secured so you won't need to work for less than that amount. With no/a low starting bid, if you are lucky, a few people may start bidding in the beginning, and then they will hang out and become attached to the thread and you, and perhaps be willing to go higher than they would otherwise, in my experience. Yes, the psychology of Gaia Art Auctions. I will write a book sometime. rofl
Advertising (wearing the banner in your sig and posting a lot in all the forums and guilds) and link swapping with other threads (I prefer swapping with art contests) helps. smile
