Colche

PostPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2005 2:01 pm

"Pet" colche replied touching his furry arm a soft whisper of a puurr leaving her chest as she rolled her slender fingers along the fuzzy fur. She smiles "pretty" she looks up at Ian with an innocent smile before turning her gaze ona Amaya "am..I..yuh" she spelt out the name and was about to say something else, maybe, when hargun shouted and she jumped out of her skin toppling backwards off of the picknic bench and looking around with wide frightend eyes. She takes a few deep breaths, shuffling backwards a few inches. Her eyes drifted back to the table, she hadn't finished eating yet, "no work, no work" she mumbled, reassuring herself, trying to calm herself she hadn't expected anyone to be so, so very loud it had frightend her quite a bit.

"...Pleased to meet you, Amaya...." He bobbed his head a bit in greeting....

And nearly had a heart attack as Hargun sat down and started yelling. The fur on his tail puffed out, and he could feel the same on his chest under his shirt - he winced visibly, sliding away a bit on the bench.

But what scared him most was what the loudest voice was repeating....

'Do cats eat bats? Do cats eat bats? Do bats eat cats?'

He went so far as to turn away, visibly cringing and perhaps looking a little sick. But then he heard Colche fall, looking towards her with a soft (but still very frightened) look in his eyes. His grin looked very strained by now, and he leaned down, holding out a hand for her.

"...It's...okay, Colche. Sh-she was just s-s-surprised." His tone was soft and nervous.

Green eyes glared at Hargun, annoyed that her false confidence had been shattered so easily.

Wreaking ball, thy name is Hargun.

Though she did smile regardless, holding up her water bottle and squirting the red-head with it to get her to lower her voice. "Some kinda lizard and... god, that's disgusting." She stared at the chocolate covered ants and the candy coated roaches.

Amaya's eyes widdened at how frightened Colche had gotten and she went over to her, kneeling down and rubbing her shoulder, holding the other gently with her clawed hand. "Hey, hey. It's alright, nothing's going to happen, okay? Hargun just got... excited." No work? My god... Now she had a feeling what the poor girl went through. She frowned and pulled Colche into a soft hug, rubbing her back. "It's okay, no work. Nothing's wrong." She glanced over at Ian and Julian, making a motion to them. "See? They're okay, everything is alright."

Ian smiled as Colche pet his arm and called him pretty. Crouching down beside the scared girl. "It's okay," he said trying to puzzle out her 'no work' comment. "Hargun won't hurt you." He soothingly patted the girls head. "There is no work here. You don't need to worry." He looked at her worry in his gaze. "Are you alright now?"

Colche slowly, very slowly calmed, she looked at Julians hand and was about to take it when Amaya came over, her voice was soothing and she wasn't at all frightend by her looks a tiny puurr left her as she was hugged and the gentle pet from Ian made her heart stop racing in her chest. She smiled lightly, the smile didn't touch ehr eyes though she visably caled and stopped shaking. She licks her lips in a nervous manner taking Julians hand she stands a little wobbly on ehr legs, it was a bit of a shock being scared like that. She looked at hargun then,. biting her bottom lip she edged around the other side of the table and pulled her tray back towards herself, she wasn't going to leave it again and to proove this she bolts what is left on her plate as swiftly as she can watching everyone with nervous eyes, stareing at everyone as if it were her last meal, seh soon finishes and though she now felt sick she was full and her face was coverd in chocolate. She sat stil her eyes twitching between the occupants of the cafeteria, it was okay, no work, theer was no work, cant be frightend any more, have to be brave like the starfish.

Pointing Julian out as an example of someone 'all right' was a questionable choice - he was shaky-looking, and his tail's fur hadn't flattened again yet.

Still...the actions to calm the girl were rather nice to see. People were supportive here...maybe he didn't have to hide QUITE so much....

As Colche took his hand, he gave her a timid look...but he avoided staring as he scarfed down her meal. Instead, he took up his own fork and knife, eating slowly and politely, nervous gaze fixed on his plate....

...Until he noticed, at a glance, the chocolate all over her face.

Feeling as if he should be discrete, he picked up his own napkin after a bite, dabbing at his lips while looking at Colche. He then cleared his throat a bit, waiting before he would continue eating. Maybe she would mimic?

Most of her attention was on Colche now, patting her shoulder once she finished eating. She looked at Julian and smiled at his attempt to get the raven-haired girl to mimick him. Looking around, she fetched an unused napkin from the table she was previously sitting at before handing it to Colche. Hopefully she would get what they were implying and wipe her face on her own accord. She'd have to take baby steps.

Ian sat down at the table and quickly stood up, wincing. Carefully moving his tail tip out of the way, he sat again and started eating his third apple. He finished it in a few large bites leaving nothing behind but juices on his fingers which he licked off before realizing that he was setting a horrible example for Colche. Grabbing a napkin, he smirked and wiped his fingerscarefully before depositing the used napkin in a waste receptical. "Julian," he said. "Do you know what you are becoming?" He didn't ask Colche that because she more than likely did not know, and Ian would eventually find out someday.

Colche watched Julian and took the napki, mimiking she could do, she was pretty good at it acctually. She smiles weakly and wiped her face in a childish manner releaving her face of most of the chocolate though there were a few smudges left over. She looks at Amaya licking her lips softly she blinks a few times yawning "sleep" she whispers, she found herself relying on somone again, she hadn't done that for days but the little shock of somone shouting so close to her sensitive ears had snapped ehr back in to dependance mode, at least for today any ways. She had eaten and like any big cat after food it was time to sleep the day away in the shade.

She blinks a long blink and shuffleds off the bench giving a long, wide yawn she rubs her eyes before toddling off out of the cafeteria back to her duplex and her comfy bed. She glances back once and smiles weakly at the people milling around the table still, her first time in a large group hadn't been too bad, everyone was very nice, even if she had gotten very frightend at the slightest thing. She would be calmer next time, maybe. She yawns again finally leaving the cafeteria and making her way home.

Julian gave a little wave as Colche left, then turned back as Ian spoke. He attempted to loosen up a bit, but the grin was fixed on his face - and the Cheshire Cat was still mumbling in the back of his head.

"...A cat of...some kind...I think...." He took a bite of chicken, tail flicking behind him.

'A CHESHIRE Cat, Julian,' the voice reminded him tartly.

He cringed.

She waved a gloved hand to Colche as she wandered out of the cafeteria, probably heading back to her duplex to sleep. "Bye-bye Colche!" After waving goodbye, she turned back to the others and took a seat. "Well that's not too bad, it could be a lot worse." She'd be a cat any day over a lizard in her book.

((EEEHEEE HEEE. : D Bare butt))

Hargun looked at Colche rather bewildered... and to Julian too. "... I said something wrong..?" she asked as she watched Colche have some sort of spasm then leave.

She was completely unaware of Colche behavior, having never met her before, but she waved anyways. "Uhm.. Im sorry! Bye?" she said, trying not to sound too loud then turned back to Amaya.

"Sorry.. I didnt mean to make her.. and sorry I.. freaked.. out.." she said and scratched at her now rather red with embarassment face.

"Somebody help me out here though.. whyd.. whyd I scare her off?" she asked, and hung her head down while poking at her food with a non needed fork.

Ian shrugged. "I've scared Colche off once before, though I don't think she remebers that. I'd say she scares easily." Ian stood up. "Sorry to eat and run, but I have to get going now. I have an urge to just be alone for a bit. Sorry again." Ian waved and deprated from the cafeteria heading back to his duplex.

Julian gave a little wave to Ian as he left, looking a bit more relaxed. Sure, he was left with two teenage girls...but he didn't mind quite so much. He liked kids, for one, and there was a little less company now. Less of a crowd...which was good, as Julian was nervous in crowds.

"...I guess not...but it didn't make it any more easy to handle. I mean...I...I don't...handle pain very well. I was probably heard screaming on the other side of the world." A feeble laugh.

He swallowed a bite, grinning his wide, eerie grin at Hargun. He was trying rather hard to ignore the Cheshire Cat's hisses about cats eating bats - it made his stomach turn, and he didn't want to think about it.

"...She was j-just startled. It wasn't what y-you said...."

"I think she's just really... jumpy. Not used to crowds are loud noises." Amaya gave a light shrug to her friends question, not entirly sure herself.

"See ya, Ian. Take care." She gave a smile and a wave as Ian headed off, glad he was taking everything so well.

A frown spread across her features as the thought of hearing someone scream in agony. Julian's tail was pretty long, which was probably what hurt the most. "I'm sorry..."
