Hello everyone! I am a new member (pretty obvious sweatdrop ) and I am really interested in learning Japanese. I love Japanese music and animation, a lot. I'm in gaia also because it is anime-based. Anyway, you can call me wOrM for short, and I am going to graduate from college very very soon. When I do, I will use my free time to really study the language Japanese. *serious mode* O_O hehe.. I hope this guild can help me, and when I am good enough, hope to help others too. ^.^

Hi! I don't care what you call me as long as it isn't Stephanie, or something along those lines. My real name is Tiffany Rose. I'm 15, going to be 16 in March. I was born in the year of the Monkey. I normally have a template, but I'm on a different computer. I have been into the Asian culture since I was really little. Like when I first could read "made in China". I am learning Chinese on my own right now, because my school lacks the Japanese language classes, but not the Chinese. So that's mainly the reason I'm here, to learn Japanese and Hopefully not confuse it with my Chinese studies.

Hello everyone!

Hajimemashite. Watashi no namae wa Saenorel desu. Doozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

... that's about the extent of my Japanese. wink

Anyway, I'm a writer/musician/artist/dancer, and I've been interested in the Japanese culture for several years now. I had a chance to live in Japan for a month earlier this year, but it has done nothing to sate my appetite; in fact, it's only made it worse!

I've been studying Japanese on my own, but as it has been noted, Japanese is a bit of a difficult language for English speakers to learn, so I'm excited to pick up some tips from the forum. Thanks! *bows*

So my name is Michèle, and im 18 years old. I live in the netherlands, zuid-holland.

I'm learning japanese on my own for maybe half a year. I really love to go to japan but need a partner, learn the language, and have the money.
So at least ive started at learning the language and i know some basics. My main problem is katakana, kanji and making sentences. But im working on that now.
An other reason of learning japanese is because of my japanese friends. So im very motivated to learn the language.
what keeps me from learning fulltime is school...

My hobbies are writing/ making music (on my saxophone)/drawing/painting.

Hi everyone ^^
I'm obviously a newbie, I'm 18 years old, I'm french and currently live in Montreal..... You don't need to know my real name, but if Mistouflette is too long for you, you can call me Misty ^^
Anyway, I don't speak Japanese (yet!!!! I'm gonna be the bestest Japanese speaker one day, just you wait >_<) well, I just know one word or too really, but for now, I am more interested in learning about the Japanese culture in general.
I am a bit of an anime addict (and it's real cool cuz I don't know a lot of anime, so I am discovering new anime everyday and it's awesome ^^) and my dream goal is to go live in Japan (well..... as soon as I learn Japanese that is sweatdrop )
So yeah, as I said, my motive to be here is to learn everything I can possibly imagine about Japan and, when the time comes (cuz it will!!!! Just wait 'til I perfect my Italian and then, Japanese here I come!!!! whee ), to be able to share my knowledge of the language with people more experienced in order to improve ^^
Until then, Ja Ne!!! (did I spell that right?? eek )

おはようございます。じこしょうかいさせていただきます。USUのマリンダです。ロガーンのしゅっしんです。せんこうわせえぶつがくです。にねんせいです。ロッコのおんがくがすきです。にほんごもすきです!どうぞよろしく。

Good morning. Let me introduce myself. I'm Malinda from USU. I'm from Logan. My major is biology. I’m a sophomore. I like rock music. I also like the japanese language. Please be kind to me? xD <333 Or rather, nice to meet you.

I'm not very good at japanese yet. I took my first semester of it this year at USU. I’m continuing next semester, and I hope to minor in it. I'd like to go Japan sometime, but I have no idea when. I'm majoring in biology to become a chiropractor. xD I don't even want to attempt to spell that in Japanese。I really need to practice my skillz during the winter break. :3 So, that's why I'm here.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Ohayo gozaimasu!
5:30am here but I didn't sleep yet ^^;
I am new to here 8D Well, first post.
Looking for people at the same stages as me to practice with, I don't know a lot, but I'm using some books and stuff to help me, although the lazyness certainly dosn't help! So anyone who could keep me on track would be amazing too ♥

Hello, I am XInternetOtakuX, I am 15

I have been trying to learn Japanese by myself, using pocasts and stuff by japanesepod101.com, it was pretty helpful, except I had no way to really practice it besides repitition, I also am in the midst of learning Hiragana, but all I got is flash cards( crying ). I really hope to gain a better understanding of Japanese culture, i find it so interesting, like their Valentines! The girls give the guys gifts! Way different then it is in the U.S.(But they do have a day a month or so later right? White day?)

anyway, I hope to get a lot out of here, and hopefully give back aswell!

So, yeah, I've been struggling to learn Japanese on my own for over two years now and I have made a little progress. But I'd like to go as far as I can and not only learn the language, but more about the culture and everything that goes with it. ^^ Pleased to be here!
