The Red Cloak did a little anime-ish fall then leaped back onto its feet. "WHO ARE YOU!? A VASH THE STAMPEDE WANNABE!?"

"A boast is an exaggeration; what I said was merely a statement of the facts," Gatz pointed out politely.

"So, if since you really seem set on fighting... I'm called Gatz. I've heard that it's polite to introduce yourself before a fight--" he said, setting up his stance.

"--In case you kill your opponent."

Gatz gasped in surprise as the man threw off his cloak.

"... Weren't you in Kingdom Hearts as a child? Or some other game by Square?" he exclaimed, careful not to let his gaurd fall as he chuckled. (( xd ))

((Guys like that do look cool, which is probably why the look is a bit over-used. xd ))

As he felt the heat forming, Gatz quickly jammed his umbrella down and openned it, hopping on board. The explosion blasted him into the air, a small stream smoke following him.

"Well, well. I was wondering a bit if all your family's abilities would be confined to projection from the body, but that doesn't seem to be the case."

Gatz flipped over in the air at the top of his arc, holding onto his umbrella like a parasol. He looked at his opponent bemusedly as he slowly started floating down.

"At least the fight should be mildly interesting," he mused outloud.

Uh-oh, cute civilian... Gatz thought. He floated a little closer to her so that he wouldn't have to shout so much.

"Kasuma, it's not that I don't appreciate the support, but this isn't a regular arena match. This guy's really trying to kill me--though he's not doing a very good job at the moment."

"The arena wards should keep you safe there, but I'd really rather you leave in case I need to cut loose..."

((... Looked down? But she's in the stands above the arena floor...))

Gatz noticed the heat beginning to gather again, this time underneath of the umbrella--where he was hanging.

Well, I can either let go and dodge this, loosing my weapon for the moment, or-- Gatz snapped his umbrella around to start it spinning. It wasn't as effective for simply hovering in place, but the Light Feather technique* should keep him in the air long enough for this...
*Technique where the user moves as if they were almost weightless. Used in the Ruler of the Land manga, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and just about any other Kung-fu flick were somebody has obsene amounts of hangtime/jumping ability.

The flames appeared in a sudden explosion like the last attack, but this time the combustion seemed to halt in midstride, slowly moving as if being sucked towards some vortex formed by the umbrella. Satisfied that the explosion whas contained, Gatz ended his Light Feather and whipped his body around, using all his weight to change the angle of the gyroscoptic force in the direction he wanted. After that, a simple flick of the wrist and a quick release sent the umbrella on a spiralling path towards Leo... along with the stream of fire that was quick unfurling behind it as it closed up.

Yeah, I'd much rather go for an attack if I have to toss it away in either case... Gatz thought to himself as he landed.
