Being grabbed by someone and pulled into a hug so tight he could hardly breath, Tait froze. He felt like ice as the shockingly hot being said something he couldn't make out....And suddenly a pathetic....Terrified relief smashed through him, making his heart throb through his chest, and his breathing die out for a few moments. Who was this person? Why were they treating him like....Like....

"i don't care if you push me away, Tait! i care about you, okay?!! I'm right here, Tait!! don't worry, I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere, it's all going to be okay...It's okay, Tait...Everything is okay...Every thing's okay...Don't push me away, Tait...Let me help you, let me in, I swear it'll be okay, I swear over my own dead body it'll be okay...." Staring into the mysterious persons chest, Tait, who lay limp against them, stopped breathing entirely, to struck by shock to even move away, though he felt the odd sensation like all his strength was evaporating and he was becoming incredibly weak. The rain suddenly started falling so hard, it was a down pour. The drops were larger than coins.....The sky was crying. The heavens sobbed. "hang in there, Tait....." The mystery person whispered, slowly rocking back and forth.

Something snapped inside Tait, like a wall. A wall that he had build for years to keep nothing from getting in or out. To keep people from getting into. His watery eyes went overboard, and he suddenly threw his arms around the figure who was hidden from him by the very tears of the sky, and grabbed his back so hard it actually probably hurt, as if desperately holding on. As if, if that person were to disappear, he would simply die. As if he didn't want to be alone. He sobbed, crying out loudly, wailing like a child who was finally getting the attention he had never received as a kid, and that he had always begged for through his scowls, and his yells of anger and looks of hatred. His head buried in the persons chest, holding on for dear life. He was almost gone....And he didn't want to disappear. He didn't want to be alone any longer.

Looking up, Tait still couldn't see the person. Water fell from his long eyelashes, hitting his thin cheek bones, and running down his pale skin, to fall from his chin into the unknown. Looking up, he suddenly felt the urge to know everything-anything-about this person. This wonderful person.......The only person to ever break through his walls.....It was aggravating how little he knew. He didn't even know what they looked like.....It didn't matter. He didn't care. By now rain was running down his face, mixing with tears and sweat, only adding to the chill of his skin. The boy shifted, and fear washed over him, making him shake. Gripping his back harder, he was about to bury his head in the man;s chest again, but a warm hand suddenly lined his jaw bone, and forced his head up, so he looked right at his face. The face he couldn't see...His face warped into one of utter agony.....It wasn't fair.....He couldn't....He didn't....He had nothing to give. Why was this person....So kind hearted?

Getting up, Tait felt as if he wasn't wet at all anymore. "No..." he breathed slowly. "If I do.....I won't be able to stay like this.....Please..." He was desperate again. Reaching out, he trailed the faceless boys neck. "Please..." He begged. "When I go back....It'll be my fault again. I just.....Want to stay out here." Taking a step, his ankle twinged, and he slipped, grabbing the guys waist. "Ugh.....This is so pathetic...." He muttered, starting to go back to his usual behavior.

catching tait under his arms when he slipped, his eyes fell on his swollen ankle. "we don't have to go back in there." he said quietly, then he swooped him up into his arms and started off across the school grounds and towards a small abandoned building he'd discovered sophomore year. "i swear, it's completely secluded and one hundred percent safe." he could tell tait was starting to break away again. he didn't want him to break away again....

"well..." aki started, thinking about how to answer him. "i guess i just followed your voice." wow, that sounded cheesy, he thought, but pushed that thought away, glancing down at tait and smiling when he saw how red he was. "don't worry, you're gonna be fine." he said calmly, kissing his forehead briefly. "i'll fix ya right up."

kicking the door open to the little shack, he walked over to the cot off in the distant corner, kicking the door back shut behind him and locking it. he could hear the rain still pouring down outside; tait's eyes were red from crying. swinging him onto his back, he swept off the bed, then laid him down on it, plopping himself down in a nearby chair. "if you want something, i'll go get it for you..." he eyed him, waiting for a request.

Nodding, Tait sniffed, trying to stop himself from crying like an idiot. Rubbing his eyes, he opened them. His jaw dropped. "AKI?" He asked, dumb-struck. When he knew the guy who had kissed him....Was AKI....He turned even redder. Getting up fast, he said "Why'd you help me?! YOU'RE the one that's SICK!" Before falling, hitting the shack's wooden floor, his twisted ankle throbbing. Hissing, he pulled his leg to himself. Rubbing his eyes, redder than even the color red itself, he said in an odd voice "Why would you help me....All I've ever done is make you feel like s**t with my bad attitude. I even got you....Got you sick...." Now looking angry with himself, he said "You probably hate me, yet you're so nice.....You didn't. Couldn't. And now you're stuck with me. The last person you'd probably want to be around at a time like this....And you-" Biting his lip, he blushed..."You......" Clenching his fist, he looked down fast, his wet bangs flopping to cover his ashamed face.

Still looking down, Tait sat with his legs sticking straight out.....His shoulders started shaking. Sniffing, he ran his arm over his eyes. "You like me now....But...Wh-When you find out what happened.....You'll run like everyone else!" He said, tears sliding down his face. Trying to stay calm, he kept his head down so Aki couldn't see him crying, though he could probably hear his attempt at muffling his sobs.
