(( Sorry for the late post: just remembered the Senior Exit due next week. >>; ))
Asako sighed, suddenly a bit embarrassed by Akerian's stunt. Geez, now everyone is going to think we're, like, best friends and all that...all I'm doing is helping him out. He's nice and all...but not exactly the 'cool' type. she mentally complained.
Then she realized that she sounded kind of petty, and also pretty mean if Akerian was still within receiving distance. But that's not his fault...and he is really nice. Geez, this mind-reading thing is harder to deal with than it seems.
Sighing, she figured that she might as well get it over with. "He's helping me out with increasing one of my abilities." she said, not wanting to get into the details of her end of the bargain. "It's nice of him, really, since we've only just met." (She didn't want them to think they were too close--especially in that way. "He's really a sweet kid; but yeah, a bit too dramatic for my tastes."
Even thought Asako was a little over-the-top herself, it was more in a everyday life way; having someone constantly playing up the tragic or epic drama at a school (even though it was located in Faerie) was starting to make Asako a little uncomfortable.

(( Ooooooh... riiiiiight... I knew that sweatdrop ))
"Oh, OK." Rhm nodded. He kind of wanted to know more, but he wasn't going to pry. "Akerian is teaching about using abilities?" Pan mused. "Maybe he could help us..." I dunno, Rhm thought back. I thought we'd just wait for control to come normally... "And what if it doesn't, Rhm? Hm? The first few times we've been lucky, but what happens when we wake up over a cliff or something?" Rhm remained quiet to this. Instead he said out loud, "So," he clapped his hands and said cheerfully, "Asako, you got a story you want to share?"

acarian flew up and settled on the roof. " i hope she remembers soon that i can read minds." acarian thought to himself settling on the roof and pulling his wings in. acarian sighed and looked up to the sky. "within the next few days, i can be rid of vlad, and i will finally be able to be ignored." acarian grinned.

Aqua toyed with the last of her food, then pushed her plate away suddenly. she was in a bad mood, and being completely ignored and then insulted by that vampire girl hadnt helped. she stood up and walked towards the door of the lunch hall, her red demonic tail swishing angrily, and her wings still retracted.

((No, KurimusonChishio, you're perfectly fine! We'll see you when we see you! ^_^
Because of time constraints, I'm moving Asako out with Akerian. Sorry for the wait.))
Asako sighed, suddenly not so much in the mood for stories. Besides, I'm keeping Akerian waiting--that's probably rude of me...
Standing up, stuffing the last of her food in her mouth, she chewed then said to her assembled companions, "I'm sorry about this, but I'm gonna go meet up with Akerian." Forcing a smile, she added, "I guess you'll have to wait on that story. See you all around! And I'll see you, Anne, at our dorm. Bye!"
She deposited her tray where the others were stacked, then walked to the window Akerian had flown out of. Feeling incredibly stupid, and hoping no one was looking her way at the moment, she called out to Akerian.
"Akerian!" she said aloud, then sent I'm ready! Come get me! But she couldn't help adding, This feels really stupid...

acarian chuckled hearing asako yelling through the window. "it would've been a lot easier if she just thought about it." acarian thought jumping off the roof and spreading his wings. he glided down, went through the window, and landed in front of asako. "well, shall we start this?" acarian asked, grabbing asako by the waist and flying back through the open window. acarian soared strait up and landed on the roof, setting asako down. "now getting started, we need to expand on your ability of possession." acarian said, sitting down. "now, do you know what possession is?"

Anne was also finishing her meal when Asako left. Full-mouthed, she stickied with a wave and a wink to say goodbye to the girl. She was curious about the whole Akerian business; after all, he had also asked her for mentorship..."He really is dramatic...and rushed." She didn't appreciate either of those qualities.
Suddenly, she noticed she had been left alone with the two boys she fancied! The thought nearly made her chuckle. Emptying her plate, she smiled at the two. "I guess that leaves you, Rhm! You owe me a story about Faerie, still! And I'm sure Jake wouldn't mind hearing it as well!"

Rhm popped the last bite of fish into his mouth. He swallowed and put a finger on his cheek, his ears twitching. "Let's see... what's a good story for newbies in the Faerie Realm?" He smiled. "Well, no story is more close to me than my own." Pan looked up in alarm. "What are you doing?" Relax, Pan. These guys have told us stuff about them, and that's what this school is for: learning about yourself and the people around you, right? "But-" Besides, everyone here has something like us. We're not going to get run out of town or anything.
Rhm cleared his throat. He voice took on a soothing rhythm as he got into the story, his cat-like way of subtlety undulating his voice unintentionally creating a hypnotizing effect. "I grew up in a little human town called Grameir with my foster parents. Apparently, I was dropped at their door when I was just a baby, but that's neither here nor there. They tried there hardest with me, and I love them, but they were old and were just normal people within the town. They couldn't stop the bullying or what people said about them behind their backs." Rhm's green eyes had taken on a distant look. "When I was five, Pan manifested and that pegged me as someone with magic, which made me even more of an outcast." He smiled fondly at Pan and placed a hand on her. "Though I wouldn't trade her for the world. "Life went on like that for a while. I was something of an outcast, true, but I had a few friends and I was... not happy, exactly; but content. Because of my heritage I was better at hunting and gathering than the other boys, and for that reason the Mayor put up with me. "When I was eleven years old, I woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare that I couldn't remember. But I wasn't in my bed; I was in the middle of the field behind our house. Neither me nor Pan could remember how we'd gotten there. I thought maybe I had sleep-walked, so I just snuck back into bed, went back to sleep, and by the morning didn't think anything about it. "A year later, a little before Tutelary Eve, it happened again. Except this time I woke up on our neighbor's roof. It was the nightmare I couldn't remember again. We were both shivering from the snow, but Pan had enough presence of mind to notice that there was no tracks leading to or from the house. No footsteps on the roof, either. The snow was a blank canvas. We climbed down from the house and made our way back to our place. Jumping into the warm bed, we silently agree not to think about the strange event till the morning. "There was some talk the next day about the mysterious footprints that had appeared, but luckily for me enough snow had fallen to hide the distinct shape of my tracks. "I woke up in a place that I didn't go to sleep in twice more in the next two years; Once on a bale of hay and once actually inside of a neighbor's kitchen. It took a bit of skill sneaking out of there, lemme' tell ya." Rhm was silent for a few seconds. "Ten months ago I was out hunting with a group of people. The hunt had just started and my short-bow was still on my back, the draw not even strung yet. Maybe my allergies were acting up, maybe there was something on my mind, I don't remember. But out of nowhere, a huge black bear was standing on it's hind legs in front of me. I slowly backed up. The bear just stared at me. As slowly as I could, I reach behind me and began pulling out my bow. The bear sensed the threat and lunged at me. I jumped back and stumbled into a sharp lip of a rock. I fell back and the bear smashed a huge paw into me and I flew into a tree. I slumped down, a gash on my forehead dripping blood into my eyes. Through a red haze I saw the bear charge toward me. I shut my eyes tight and prepared as best I could for the swift death that was sure to come next." Rhm smiled slightly. "And it never did come. The tree at my back was suddenly not there anymore. I fell back and slammed my head against the ground, blacking out."
Rhm silently looked out the window at the sun. He opened his mouth and then looked around, startled and a little embarrassed as he realized he was telling a story much longer than any of the others had. "Oh, sorry," he half mumbled. "I was rambling. You probably don't want to hear that much." He look up, hoping that maybe they did want him to finish, but not expecting it. Talking about his old village had brought back to him how it felt to be simply humored. Not really part of the community but something that the people around him put up with in return for it not getting too friendly with everyone.

Jake lent an ear to Rhm's voice as he began his tale. The word "newbies" made Jake chuckle a bit, but for no real reason. As Rhm's story slowly unraveled Jake found his jaw dropping ever so slowly.
Not having many friends because he was different, having his ermine appear to him, doing things in his sleep that he has no explanation for, you know - he's not that different from us Anko stated in a relaxed tone, head still in paws.
The young man nodded his head to show that he had heard his familiar, but was too interested in Rhm's tale to say anything else besides, "Mhmm."
All too suddenly, the cat-boy stopped speaking and before Anne could even say anything Jake chimed in, "Wait, that's the end? What happened? Did you teleport or something?"
This kid didn't like to be left hanging at the end of an intense story, he wanted all the answers (( cool ))

Asako gasped, startled, when all of a sudden Akerian flew back through the window and landed in front of her. Before she could speak or even open her mouth, he picked her up around the waist -causing another gasp- and flew back out the window with her.
Asako felt the ground fall out from beneath her as the soared upward, and it was all she could do to keep herself from screaming like a maniac. She clung tight to Akerian, afraid of slipping out of his grasp and falling to her death. Oh, Kami, I'm gonna die! Please don't let me die! She thought, terrified. She shut her eyes so she couldn't see the ground growing farther away beneath her, and prayed for the experience to end.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity -though it was more like a few seconds- Akerian set her down on the roof. Once Asako's feet hit the ground, she collapsed down onto her knees, shaking slightly. Ohmigod...that was so scary! I can't believe I survived that...that... She felt like fainting, but could not seem to manage it.
Not even waiting for Asako to calm down, Akerian sat down and spoke. "Now getting started, we need to expand on your ability of possession." he said, all too calm after what he had put Asako through. "Now, do you know what possession is?"
If Asako was not still too terrified for the necessary scathing wit, the words out of her mouth would be something along the lines of 'Of course I know what possession is, you maniac! I'm a kitsune, after all!' Instead, all she could manage was a faint "Y-Yes, I d-d-do."

acarian chuckled at asako's thoughts. "come on, it wasn't that bad." acarian said. "now," he said, a little more seriously. "i"m going to teach you about spiritual possession," he said, continuing. "basically, spiritual possession is having your spirit on the outside and your body on the inside. ill show you." acarian bowed his head and blocked out everything else. he concentrated on his spiritual energy and let it flow out of him. he fought through the fear that then entered him. he then started to fade and become one with his spirit. one his spirit was fully outside, he floated of of the building and darted around a little, to show control. he then proceeded to float back to where he was before and change back. "that's what i'm going to teach you how to do." acarian said. "the first step, block out all noise around you. go into a state of total peace. next step, let your spiritual energy flow out of you. give into it. third, you should start to fade, then you will be a spirit and have the ability to posses. so, wanna give it a try?"
