Eventually the buildings in the clearing came into view. She was trying to keep herself out of view, but she wanted to take a look. As she got close enough, it appeared to be the right place. It fit the description, as far as she could tell.
She slowed her pace a little bit as she noticed someone standing outside the main building. It looked like he was looking directly at her. She froze for a moment, not knowing how her arrival would be treated.

After many days of wandering near-aimlessly, Sage made his way back to the dojo. He dragged behind him a handcart full of various spices and herbs. took me this long just to find all the spices I need. they probably forgot about me or something....oh well, just means I have to make pancakes that are extra special this time around....maybe I'll make use of some of the spices I have with me...no, those are special ingredients...if I used those up on pancakes, I would have to go wandering around for another month to get them again. wait! of course! I'll make chocolate chip pancakes...no one can resist thier yummy goodness! just as none expect the spanish inquisition, none shall expect the joyous springtime of flavor that will dance about thier mouths as they taste the power of proper cooking!
As he amused himself with his thoughts, Sage began to hum a tune. He continued to Hum as he dragged his cart up to the entrance of the dojo.

Seph kept his hands in his pockets. He wasn't smiling anymore, but he wasn't frowning, either. He yawned a bit, wondering if she would ever continue her trek towards the dojo.

As Sage set the handlebar of his cart to the ground, he looked around the entrance of the Dojo. First he looked to Seph and nodded, then he followed Seph's gaze and looked to the lass. After a few tense moments of silence, Sage spoke loudly, " am I interrupting a staring contest or something?"

She noticed the smile leave his face.
Oh crap. Maybe I shouldn't have come.
She stood for a moment trying to decide what to do. She'd obviously been seen, but no one was coming at her... yet no one was calling out asking her business here either.
She looked around a bit, trying to see if she could see anything that might be a trap. It would explain why he wasn't coming towards her. Why would he if there was a trap that would take care of her without him having to do a thing.

Ignoring Sage for a moment, and as if reading the woman's mind, he rose an eyebrow. This was the first student that had not just barged in. He wasn't used to timid. "Come on in!" He called then turned to Sage. "New student, I'd assume." He smiled.

Sage laughed loudly and heartily for a few moments, before saying, " oh? and here you had me going for a bit. either of you two hungry? I've just now returned with a cartload of rare herbs and secret spices..."
As he says the words 'rare herbs' Sage moves his hands up in front of his face and wiggles his fingers, and as he says 'secret spices' he makes different motions with his hands. Waving them around in front of him like a street magician conjuring a 'spell'.

He grinned some. "None for me, thanks. I made some stirfry earlier today. But you should ask her, she might be hungry."

With a nod, Sage turned and looked in the general direction of Damaris. " So, up for food new student? it's never smart to train on an empty stomach....unless your learning how to use your energies to replenish your body's reserves of nutrients...but since your new here, I doubt you'd be trying such a dangerous to learn thing as that."

She cautiously stepped into the clearing. She hadn't seen any traps, but that didn't mean there weren't any. She knew there was alot of ninjutsu and genjutsu that was well above her realm of understanding that could work against her.
"No thanks," she said quietly to the strange man with the cart.
She walked towards where they were standing. So far so good.
"I take it this is the Gaia Ninja Academy then?" she asked of the first man she'd seen.

"It is." He smiled. "I'm Sephiroth Eric Giddeon Mousser--or just 'Seph.' This is Sage." He motioned to the man with the cart. "And you are?"

As Seph motioned to Sage, he took a pose. the overall effect of the pose would be that of a hero after a long struggle....If it were in a painting. As it were now, Sage looked more like a Bufoon with a cart.
((I'm going to be around here for a while until NWN stops crashing my computer after running it for five minutes.... sweatdrop ))

"Damaris Kimura," she said, finally letting her guard down. This was the right place, and it seemed like getting new students wasn't too out of the ordinary for them.
"So you are accepting new students?"

"We're accepting members. Whether or not you become a student is at the discretion of your sensei. What element?" His voice remained pleasant, and it wasn't a front. He was a kind person, and it shown in his facial features and voice, despite the nasty scar that crossed from one eyebrow down to the opposite cheek.
