Letting his eyes return to their normal position, Tegral lowered his head and began scanning the bases of the tree. Wait, scanning...that was something he did, didn't he? Blinking, his blue eyes suddenly fadeing into whiteness, he watched the trees. No, he wasn't watching the trees...what was he watching? Again his right arm rose out infront of him. Fire! Water! Energy!! Something! But again...nothing. Hidjie failed to register what he was doing...but he was looking at something...

"s**t s**t s**t!!" The man fumbled and dropped the briefcase. The case didn't open, but it being out of his grasp filled him with terror. Fumbling over to it, he quickly put in the combination to the lock. From there, the sound of the case snapping open could be heard. The man quickly fished the black pistol out of the case, and it's clip. Terrified, he loaded the gun, and looked around. There was more in the case, but he wouldn't dare touch it's contents.

"s**t...?" He tested the word, almost as if he had never heard it before. Blinking his eyes returned to their cold saphire blue color. His feet worked...why wasn't he moveing? "Who is there?!" His voice boomed, or tried to anyways. What did he just say? What language was he speaking? Right...left...slowly his feet forced the rest of his body into motion. Towards...what? The sound? What was the sound, anyways?

The man rose, a new calm cool on his face as he looked over to where he'd heard his words repeated. His hand brushed back his short black hair, as his eyes narrowed behind his glasses. He stood facing the man, standing sideways with the gun pointed at him. It was a dumb way to stand, reserved for action movies, but he was confident. His labcoat, now with the stain of dirt on it, rumbled slightly. He'd forgotten he'd turned the ringtone off his cell phone, and put it on vibrate.

Hidjie, just out of blind ignorance, mimiced the scientist's stance. Combat...? Maybe this was combat...but he did not have a weapon. Was that a weapon? No matter, he was a weapon. What weapon...? Who was he...? "Who is there?" What did those words mean...and how did he know them? Machines...he was a machine...plasma cannon! Nothing.

"I need you to get on the ground, just for a minute!" The man's voice wavered, but his stance did not. He was prepared to fire at Hidjie to get what he wated. Slowly he began to walk forwards, the gun still aimed at Hidjie. In his other hand he still tightly held the case, as if it were his lifeline.

Tegral's apperance wavered and flickered for a moment, almost as if a haze of heat had suddenly enveloped him. When the haze was gone Tegral stood in new clothes. Black as night pants, untouched by the dirt around him, an old brown jacket covering a red shirt, and a black hat. A large silver magnum tugged down the right side of his belt, but like the scientist Tegral's stance did not alter a whim.

"s**t..Again..." The man fired one shot, and even as he'd pulled the trigger he turned to run. He was not sure his shot would hit the man in the chest where he aimed, and he didn't want to find out. He'd blindly run from Hidjie, forgetting entirely about his cell phone. From what he knew, he'd just shot a machine capable of taking down a small task force.

Tegral's eyes grew wide, pain laceing through his entire body. Blood sprayed out from the wound that punched a hole in his chest. Pain...why didn't it hurt? The world seemed to slow as he fell backwards. His right shoulder hit a tree truck, the rough bark scraping at the skin under his coat. He felt that getting scratched up...but no pain. He knew he was feeling pain, but why didn't he feel it?
-Thud-
Tegral hit the ground, staring off to his left. He lay on his stomach, his breathing shallow. Breath? Why did he need air...? He was a machine, right? "...s**t..." Now he knew what that ment... "s**t..."

((Stupid Gaia.))
The man stopped finally, huffing as he tried to catch his breath. He expected to hear the whine of a weapon charging, then see the streak of energy that would leave him a smoldering torso. And yet, there was nothing. With a shrug, he started back towards his fallen oppenant.

"s**t..." Slowly Tegral's eyes flickered open. The pain was there...but it was dulled. He'd been shot, and he hurt like hell. He should have been dead, so why wasn't he? His arms began to move without him realizeing it, and slowly he began to push himself back up on unsteady arms. How long had he been down...? How long had he been dead?

Quite unsure of what to do, the man shrugged. He could always put the rest of the clip into the man if he became violent. For now, he simply watched. He was curious to see if this was the one he'd been told to take a sample from.

"Filthy b*****d shot me..." He knew those words too...but he couldn't remember ever learning this language. Now on his knees he paused, his right hand hovering near his waist. The large magnum still tugged at his belt, but aside from his had being in the relative area of the weapon Tegral did not look as if he was about to draw it. "Why in the hell did you shoot me?!"
Servos whined, servos? And Tegral forced himself back to his feet. Minor damage to his chest...minor?! He'd just been shot!! Calculations whirred through his head and stopped. "Whoa..."
Turning around, facing the scientist, Tegral raised a questioning eyebrow. Dried blood coated the front of his shirt, but asside from that he didn't look too hurt.

"Amazing." The man's eyes widened, as he adjusted his glasses once more. He was easilly outgunned, and he was worried. For the moment however he just held his ground. His gun was trained on Hidjie. Closing his eyes, he squeezed the trigger twice more, firing two shots at Hidjie's chest region. Clearly the man hadn't been trained to fight.

((And the first awakening begins.))
-Thud-
Tegral staggered back as time slowed again. Numbers flew across his vision, but when he closed his eyes they were gone.
-Thud-
His left foot instinctivly took a step back, to stop himself from falling backwards. Combat was painful. Chemicals were pumped into his body, chemicals?! Eyes opened, calculations flew past his vision, and a grid locked over the scientist.
"It doesn't hurt..."
Reaching down, Tegral drew the magnum from his belt. The hammer pulled back and slammed forward before Tegral could even aim the gun properly. Mid-draw the gun was aimed somewhere near the scientist's foot.
