John used the tip of his right index finger to push her head back up to look into her ember eyes. "...Its more then the jeans, right Rae?" He asked her with a smile, a safe smile, a trusting smile. "Beneath this sexy little body lies...what, exactly?" He asked gently. "...You can tell me, Rae..."

He smiled at her uneven answer. It was a pretty strange question to ask to begin with, and she had answered it admireably.

"...I really dont know Rae, only you know...but i'm hoping i'll get to find out....if you let me."

He put his arms around her then, holding her close. "I'll tell you this much, though...you dont have to be scared around me. Not ever."

She would hear his chuckles rising deep from his chest as he rubbed her shoulder. So this was her M.O...to hide behind her looks and charm. It wasn't the worst thing to do - hell, he was as guilty of it as ever, though his was easier to penetrate - it was so easy to destroy a man's strength once you knew his weaknesses...

He couldn't help but look up at the clock at the other end of the food court, the time ticking on. He sighed heavily. "...What time do the banks shut aorund here?" He asked sadly. He was comfortable dammit....and he didn't look forward to what he had to do next.

"Very true..." He said, stuffing the rest of his sandwich into his face before drinking the rest of his water down, stsnding to offer his hands to her, grabbing up another fruit cup as he did. "Come, lead me their woman...my addled brain does not know the location."

Ater all, the sooner they were done here, three sooner they could go back to bed - and maybe order dinner in?

The whole ride over, John had been sullenly silent, not even eating his fruit cup before they got to the bike to put her bag of unmentionables into one of his leather knapsacks before riding to the GNB. Even the feeling of Raven's hands around his waist didn't elict the dleighted shiver she'd first received when they left the Stadium earlier that day.

Now he stood outside the bank, pulling his sunglasses up onto his head to keep his hair from his eyes, tugging at his beard with worry. "Er....yeah, I think thats best Rae....besides, this kinda concerned you too, in a small way..." He looked down to her and chuckled nervously, holding his hands up. "Not in a bad way! But....well, you'll see."

Taking her hand in his, he walked them into the bank, the revolving doors swinging shut behind them as a small car pulled up on the sidewalk, three men exiting the car carrying heavy duffel bags, the three either wearing hoodies with their hoods slung up or baseball caps with sunglasses. The car they alighted from sped off almost as soon as they left, and they entered the building quickly.

The bank was almost empty - closing time was drawing near, after all - and the tellers stations were free. John and Rae would approach the first teller, a small nekojin with brown ears and a warm smile. "Hi, welcome to Gaian National Bank, how can i help you?"

"You're holding a safety deposit box for me, under the name Tomorrow. The box number is 2501." John said.

"One moment sir..." The girl said, checking her computer system...before smiling. "Your box is in the vault out the back, please come with me..."

The little neko would hop off her chair and walk around the back of the teller's station, opening the door to walk out to meet John and Rae, shaking their hands both as she lead them to the vaults under the bank.

At the entrance, the three shrouded men were doing something to the door, involving chains and a padlock from one of the duffel bags....

The little neko lead them down a large winding staircase to a massive vault door. "This is our safety depoist room....as you can see, we value secuirty very highly!" She said with a chuckle, pressing a few numbers into a keypad to electrocnically open the door, the big shunts in the door sliding out and allowing it to open with a short hiss, the woman walking over to try in vain to push it open, almost scraping her shoes against the ground as she shoved her tiny weight against it with all her might.

"Er, allow me..." John said with a nervous smile, approaching her to open the door with one hand, swinging it wide for the lady, who tutted and wiped the sheen of sweat from her brow.

"They may value security here, but they could value some decent cleaning services too!" She half-muttered to herself as she led the two into the vault, John having to stoop to enter the enclosed box buried in the ground.

The vault was not really that big, but had enough space for John, Raven and the neko teller to stand in it comfortably. A small table and chair sat in the centre of the room, where the user could peruse their safety deposit boxes in private.

The woman unlocked and pulled out John's box, placing it down on the table before handing him the key. "Okie dokie, for safety reasons we're gonna have to lock you in while you check out the contents of your box - we used to have a camera, but people thought it was too intrusive, haha - anyways, just press the button beside the door and i'll come and let you out." She walked over to the door, pushing it shut slowly, grunting and huffing as she did, her voice coming in through the small slit before the door shut. "Hope you love-birds have fun!"

Then it was shut, John and Rae trapped in a small room with a table, a chair, and a safety deposit box.

John looked down at the box with a heavy heart, shaking his head as he sat down. "...I think i should be happier about this, i guess....well, maybe not happier, more like....accepting that it is what it is..." He said as he unlocked the box and pulled it open. "...but i guess all things have to come to an end."

The box was relatively empty. It contained an engraved silver pocket watch, a single but large pearl, a pack of playing cards....and an envelope.

Raven could touch or play with any of the other things, but John went straight for the envelope, opening it and tipping out the contents - a letter of anullment of a marriage for John Tomorrow to sign, and a wedding band. His wedding band.

He sighed heavily, before looking up to Raven. "...Do you have a pen?"



Back upstairs, things were getting heated. The nekojin teller was grabbed and thrown into the back of the teller's station with the rest of the girls, a man weilding a shotgun screaming at them for the codes to the vaults. Another man covered the entrance, completely locked down, whilst another was going through the rooms, his assault rifle pressed to his shoulder with practised presicion.

"Perimeters clear! I'm gunna summon it!" The man with the shotgun called, the two other men nodding to him as he ran down the corridor down to the vault room...



John accepted the pen with a smile, marvelling at her magic - before grabbing her arm as she almost dropped the pearl, shock and fright in his face and voice. "Careful! Thats very valuable to me..."

He sat back down in the chair and looked over the paper. It basically said that Amber and his wedding vows were being anulled in the eyes of the government, and that they were free to be seperate again. Since John had dissapeared and had left all his money to Amber anyways, she got the lot - but it wasn't like he needed money.

As he signed the thing, he looked to Raven quizziacally, puzled by her tenseness. "Are you okay, Rae?" He asked, his voice touched with concern as he folded the piece of paper and pushed it into his pocket...



Outside the vault door, the shotgun toting robber placed his weapon on the ground and pulled out a piece of thick chalk from his pocket. Tracing a sigil into the ground a few feet away from the vault door, he knelt before the sigil with his hands clasped and prayed loudly - "Pazuzu! Heed my call and send me a demon strong enough to rip this door asunder!"

He then produced a knife from his belt and, presenting his open palm tothe sigil, slashed his hand open, blood spilling onto the ground...

...And causing the ground to tremble slightly.

Wtihin the vault, John was putting his things into his pockets - no need to leave them in the box, now he was back - and had to steady himself by placing his hand on the roof as the ground buckled. "What the ******** was that?" He hissed.

He grimaced, moving to the speaker pad and pressing the button. "Hello? What's g oing on out there?" he called -

Before something slammed into the vault door, the vibration reverberating throufh the whole vault, knocking the chair over in the process.

John jumped in front of Rae almost immediantly, shielding her with his body - before realising nothing had happened. But something would. "get behind the table, block your ears and open your mouth - i'm busting out if here..."
