*The light faded and Dani's eyes returned to normal, she looked down at Conner and whispered.*
"Connor?"
*He's body didn't move, and his eyes remained closed, Witchblade's healing powers did not work on the dead.*
*Dani's lip quivered with sorrow, and tears streamed down her face, as she sobbed into his chest loudly.*
"AHEHEHEHEEAGH!"

Iris put her arm around Dani.
"He's not coming back.. I'm sorry.'
She then hugs her.

Achilles! We did you get back? Have you seen Cassie? There bugs burst out of nowhere and I'm worried about her.

Slowly she started to walk away from him.

::Meanwhile, the Rogues had plowed a path through the remaining bugs, until there were none left.::
"Blimey. I think it's over. Whatever that was."

::Len turned to Hartley.::
"We done here?"
::Hartley looked at the open sky and shivered.::
"Yeah. Not ready yet."
"All right then."
::Len nodded and headed back to his apartment. Not one for sentiment or goodbyes. The other Rogue boys drifted off except Jesse.::
"Knock Knock!"
"Who's there?"
"You."
"You who?"
"Sorry, big boy, I'm straight! HAH!"
::James skipped off laughing as Hartley shook his head.::
"That guy's crazier than I am."
::Lisa shoved him on the shoulder before walking off.::
"This may slow things down, but my plan still stands, Piper."
::Hartley nodded.::
"That's right. I am the Pied Piper. And I'll lead Powell right to you."
::He sat down under the tree and withdrew from the world again, waiting for the school's counselors to find him and put him back in Special Services.::

Cassie still had her head down. She didn't respond to Chris but instead flew away..
"I'm sorry... Chris.."
Elsewhere d**k was talking to Emma.
"Honestely Mr.Grayson is this really the time to bring this up?"
"If not now then when? What about that rule that a student can not be held responsible for what they do under mind control."
"Yes but.."
" And that girl has fought several times to save this school to save you in fact.'
" That's true but.."
" And you throw her out into the woods?!"
" Fine Mr. Grayson I'll let Cassandra back into school. But she is to under your direct supervision.. and if anything should happen it will be your head."
"Understood.."

::Wally made his way back to the dorm slower than Chris, but still amazingly well for a blind guy picking his way through bug carcasses. He opened the door and started pulling off his football gear.::

Cassie flew till she reached the graveyard. Tears in her eyes as she knelt down in front of Conner's grave.
