Hey, we all need that creepy hero. x)
You 'glorify' Alice in a way that isn't annoying, you know, like someone who godmods would do it. You do it in this way- I don't really know how to describe it, but I do know that I don't mind it! :3 In fact, I encourage it.
That idea, however, doesn't sound bad. A-Tsai needs to prove that he's a MAN xD
And-!
We'll be popping in during a war, right? Spain could just get taken hostage randomly, along with some others we draw from a hat x) maybe that could work.

Not uh, kidnap persay. Arrest. They don't kidnap, they arrest. :'D For the silliest reasons too.
Um, he/the guards/a court royal could see Alice doing magic or something, and has her arrested, and the people around her are taken too?
...uh...but kings back then were WAY into immortality and stuff. hopefully, they'll just chuck her in a jail instead of trying to get her to like, do stuff for them. Does that sound plausible? -watched ancient china dramas-
