Dark notices the mafia members and forces himself to his feet and recalls his resting Pokemon and Dusknoir. Although in terrible pain, he refuses to show it to the mafia members.
"You chumps want to challenge me?" He asks, trying to use a tough voice. He lights up a smoke and stares them straight in the eyes.
"I just survived that explosion and can still move pretty well. Think you want to try your luck against me?"
The two mafia members look at each other for a second.
"Of course, you're probably pretty weakened now!"
"Heh, we're fighting your Pokemon, not you!"
"Dammit, I was hoping that would scare them off." He thinks. Into his pocket his hand goes and he grabs Gyarados' Pokeball now ready for action.
A Pokeball flies out to reveal a Charizard. Dark takes a drag off his cigarette and laughs, still trying to be cool. He nonchalantly throws Gyarados' ball and the giant red Sea Serpent appears.
"Dragon Dance!"
"Rock Slide!"
"R-Rock Slide?!" Dark seemed stunned by this. Gyarados using Dragon Dance, increasing her attack and speed. She's then struck by a group of rocks thanks to her opponent.
"Waterfall!" Dark shouts, afraid of what would happen if he lost to those bafoons. There's no way he could take them in his current state. He now remembers what it's like to have normal skin.... It sucked.
Gyarados roars and slams into Charizard then erupts with water, causing a powerful waterfall. Charizard bellows out a cry of pain then faints.
"Dammit, Go Electivire!" The goon shouts after recalling his Pokemon. "Thunder Punch."
"Idiot, you can't outrun her now. Gyarados Earthquake."
The red dragon begins to thrash about and slams into the ground creating a powerful shock wave, KO'ing the yellow Pokemon in an instant.
"...Ugh... Go Dodrio..." The thugs says sounding nervous. He sends out the three headed bird after recalling his Electvire.
"Fool," Dark states while blowing smoke out of his nose. "Gyarados Ice Fang."
The Dragon lunges at the Dodrio, nearly swallowing one of the bird's heads in the process. She comps down hard with frozen teeth, dealing super effective damage and KOing it.
Dark stomps out his cigarette and stares at the remaining goon.
"Heh, do you think you can beat my Gyarados?"
The goon, watching his partner in crime flee, swallows nervously. Shaking, he reaches for a Pokeball.
The following battle goes something like this.
Thug sends out a Garchomp.
Dark gloats, and has Gyarados use Ice Fang.
Garchomp faints. Dark gloats.
Thug sends out Magnezone.
Dark gloats, has Gyarados use Earthquake.
The now emotionally scarred man sends out a Salamence.
Dark gloats. Gyarados uses Ice Fang.
Man walks away crying. Dark gloats.
"Tch that was too easy. You did great Gyarados."
Gyarados roars proudly as it's returned to it's Pokeball.
Dark collapses, now completely drained of his strength.
"Crap... heh I might've gone too far.... Sammy, don't mourn for me! We could never be!" He shouts as he falls unconscious.

One of the uglier-looking thugs broke away from the pack and approached me. I stared him down as he got nearer, and he wavered just a little. But he steeled his resolve, and sent Electabuzz out to fight. Knowing Xatu would be overmatched, I pulled her back and let Meganium enter the fray. She landed right in the path of a Thunderbolt, but took the hit easily. The yellow speedster ran in with a strong Cross Chop, but in doing so, made itself an easy target for Leech Seed.
Electabuzz backed off and tossed up a Light Screen as my grass-type's seeds started siphoning energy. She also fired an Energy Ball, which was softened by her foe's screen. Feeling confident, Electabuzz rushed to strike with another Cross Chop, but ended up with a face-full of Counter. Meganium was looking worn, but still had some fight left in her. The fallen electric-type was replaced with an even greater threat: Staraptor.
The bird's emergence caused Meganium to shrink back a little, and I had no intention of letting her face this foe. Instead, I sent Dusclops to deal with it. He weathered Brave Bird with moderate damage, and a second hit made me worry. But he still had a fighting chance, and used a wisp of flame to burn the bird. With the new source of pain, Staraptor's third hit wasn't as strong as the first two, and Dusclops hung on to help the two share their pain. With recoil and burn damage racking up, Staraptor tried one last-ditch move: Whirlwind. But as it gathered up its power, Dusclops pounced with Thunderpunch to score the KO.
I didn't think it was possible for the thug to look any uglier, but the sneer on his face proved me wrong. He called off his second pokemon and put Toxicroak into the battle. Dusclops again led with Will-o-wisp, but the attack missed, giving its foe a free Nasty Plot. Dusclops got a cheap shot with Shadow Sneak before getting KO'ed by Shadow Ball.
Blissey was tired of watching her fellow pokemon fight while she stayed sidelined. As soon as Dusclops was back in his ball, she jumped up to fight. An evil grin crossed Toxicroak's face as it tightened its focus. Blissey was right in the cross-hairs of a Focus Punch, but she landed a Thunder Wave and locked up the toad's body in paralysis! Now that the element of surprise was lost, Toxicroak was at Blissey's mercy. A second attempt at Focus Punch was disrupted by Ice Beam. Another frosty blast brought Toxicroak to the brink of collapse. It tried Sludge Bomb, but the move was effectively useless against my Pokemon's defenses. A final shot of ice took out the foe.
The thug grunted in disgust and stormed off.

Maddy jumped to her feet just in time to be confronted by her first opponent. He sent out a Venusaur as his first Pokemon. Maddy smirked as Jocasta flew down in front of her trainer. She flapped her wings a couple times and roared, trying to intimidate the Venusaur a little. Venusaur lashed out with its vines, smacking Jocasta. The now angered Charizard roared, brilliant flames erupting from her maw and engulfing the giant plant-infested Pokemon. Venusaur just barely hung on and tried to regain some of its lost health by draining Jocasta's. But the attack was too ineffective for any drastic change to occur to either combatinants health, and Jocasta finished off her first opponent by slashing it viciously with her razor-sharp claws.
Sent out next was a Blastoise. Maddy cursed her bad luck as Jocasta was blown out of sight by a powerful torrent of water gushing out of the giant turtle's cannons. Maddy thought quickly and sent out Syuviel. The Grovyle was small compared to his opponent, but he was ready to go. He slashed at Blastoise with the sharp leaves that adorned his wrists, dealing some critical damage. Blastoise shot a flashy beam out of its cannons, landing a direct hit on Syuviel. But Syuviel earned back some of his health by draining Blastoise's health, finishing off his opponent.
Out next was a Charizard. Maddy didn't like the looks of this. The dragon-looking Pokemon sent a humongous burst of fire at Syuviel, who just barely got out of the way in time. Syuviel charged his fists with an electrical current and punched his huge foe, blue sparks flying. Charizard roared, KO'ing Syuviel with a fres stream of fire. Maddy sent out Raine next.
Raine looked up at her foe. "Good thing he's almost finished, otherwise I'd be really mad at you right now, Maddison."
Maddy sighed. "Don't call me that! Just finish it!"
"Ok, ok." Raine copied Syuviel's last bit of tactics and hit her foe with an attack it was weak against. She zapped him with a powerful current of electricity. Charizard wasn't down yet though, it swiped Raine with it's claws. Raine retaliated by finishing off the final Pokemon with a powerful attack of psychic energy.
Maddy returned Raine, knowing she was going to have to use a different line-up for her next opponent. She looked over and found herself facing a ferocious-looking Salamence. "Nice..." This time, Draco took his place in front of Maddy, just like Jocasta did during the last battle. Without even bothering taking time to show off, he tackled Salamence with the true power of a dragon. Salamence flinched from the sudden attack, leaving an opening for another attack. Draco opened his mouth and out past his teeth shot a brilliant stream of golden flames. The flames dissipated to reveal a fainted Salamence.
The second foe was a Steelix. Draco didn't look a bit nervous, even though his foe was way bigger than him and truely a force to be reckoned with. Steelix gave a metallic screech, causing Draco to cring slightly. The brilliant shine on his scales dimmed a little, his defense had been lowered. Draco roared with rage and sprayed Steelix with a jet of normal flames. Steelix glowed white with the heat, and struck out at Draco head first, capturing Maddy's beloved dragon in its jaws and crushing him between teeth that glistened with icy power. Draco cried with pain, a noise Maddy wasn't used to hearing, and smacked the side of Steelix's head while it was in reach, dealing a punch that was strong enough to even break through barriers. Steelix fell, and Draco escaped the painful icy clutches of that monsters jaw.
Unfortunately, the next Pokemon sent out was a Lapras. Draco was quickly finished off thanks to a well-aimed Ice Beam. Maddy was forced to send out Bull, one of her last usable Pokemon. The angered Tauros roared, and an electrical current flew from its body and struck Lapras. Lapras screeched with the pain, a tragic sound to hear, and slammed into Tauros. Tauros shook off the blow, and countered by hurling giant boulders. Massive damage was dealt, but still Lapras hung on. It shot another beam of ice at Bull, trying to freeze him. The attack landed but didn't accomplish what it was meant for. Bull all-out tackled Lapras, finishing it off.
Maddy returned Bull and went to wait for the others.

The Twins released their pokemon first; A Mightyena and a Linoone. Typical pokemon of the Hoenn region. Sammy decided to be funny about them being twins and released her pokemon; Koi and Troy. Linoone attacked first, furiously swiping at Koi’s face. The Tyrouge stumbled back, three large scratch marks down the middle of his cheek. Mightyena leapt forth, biting at Troy’s arm; it didn’t do much to him. Troy, in return for the politeness of the Mightyena, whipped his fist out and slugged it with a Mega Punch right across the flank. The dog whimpered, stumbling greatly… The attack was double effective. Koi saw this weakness in Mightyena and used it to his advantage. He used his Strength to knock the Mightyena out for the match, and now there was just Linoone. The pokemon, enraged, Slashed at Koi’s stomach… He wasn’t a very strong pokemon, so he fainted. Troy finished it off with an Ice Punch to the Linoone’s face. Both sides returned all of their pokemon on the field.
“Go, Umbreon!” “Go, Espeon!” The two called at the same time, and the Eon pokemon appeared. Sammy sweatdropped. “What the heck is up with that?!” She shouted; she knew they were twins, but… really? She released Blitzen and Dasher, the other two pokemon that had participated in destruction. Espeon, as it was fastest, shot a colorful Psybeam at Blitzen. He took it right in the gut but managed to stay standing. He retaliated harshly, releasing a large Flamethrower to engulf the Espeon. Sammy had always had one motto for double battles; Get one out, gang up on the other. She planned to continue this. Dasher, in all of his buggy glory, Slashed with one of his scythes against Espeon’s chest… But the pokemon was still standing! Umbreon released a confusing ray that left Dasher… Well, confused, to say the least. Espeon let out a flurry of stars the swiftly shot at Dasher, knocking him backwards. Blitzen used Flame Wheel on Espeon and it fainted. When it came to Dasher’s turn, although he attempted Wing Attack, he hurt himself in confusion. Umbreon bit down on Blitzen’s arm; he was tired now. He, enraged, Double Edged Umbreon, and Dasher finally managed the Wing Attack. The opponent fainted. Both sides, again, returned their pokemon.
The last battle was simply a joke. Sammy released her last two pokemon; Squirt and Prancer. Their opponents were… A Caterpie and Weedle. “You’ve GOT to be kidding me!” she started busting out laughing, unable to control herself. The Twins just gave her a scornful gaze. “Our boss is cheap, okay?!” They shouted at the same time in a typical anime twin manner. “Surf…” Sammy giggled, and Squirt shot a wave upon the poor worms. They fainted easily. The twins ran, and Sammy returned her weakened pokemon.
Hearing Mr. Dark’s comment before fainting, she got a sweatdrop on her forehead and muttered, “He thinks too highly of himself…”

Arekku finally finds the Post on the buliten board, "Ohhhhhh!" He runs outside and flies to location rather quickly, he finds that they are battling already. "Hah!" He finds that everyone has to take on two mafia members with three each. "Alright people! Let's dance!" He hops from Aro which is about a good twenty feet. He hits and rolls forward a few times. His legs still hurt a little but he was fine nonetheless.

Tommy and the first Mafia person threw out thier pokemon. Mudkip and a Sudowoodo were standing eye to eye... sorta.
Order: Mudkip, Sudowoodo
Mudkip immediately started out with an Ice Beam, hitting the tree pokemon, and freezing it to the ground. The Sudowoodo was frozen solid. Mudkip then used a Hydro Pump to blast the Sudowoodo out of the ice, and knocking it out. The mafia person next sent out his Trapinch.
Order: Mudkip, Trapinch
Mudkip used a not as powerful Icy wind, hitting the Trapinch, and slowing it down. The Trapinch then ran up to Mudkip and used a Fissure attack, almost hitting Mudkip, who had jumped into the air, and over a few feet to the left. Mudkip next used a strong Waterfall on the Trapinch, knocking it flying across the way. Enraged, the Trapinch used Faint Attack, which was unvoidable, striking Mudkip, sending him back, skidding. Tommy took the chance to snag the Trapinch, seeing it was panting heavily from the last attack. One... Two... Three...... CLICK. The Trapinch was succesfully snagged. As the mafia thug screamed for his loss, he sent out his final pokemon: a Vibrava.
Order: Vibrava, Mudkip
Vibrava starts off with a Sand Tomb, encasing Mudkip. Mudkip uses an Icy Wind, hitting the dragon ground type, doing considerable damage, and slowing it down. Mudkip is hurt by the Sand Tomb. After the slowing down-ness, Mudkip was able to use a well aimed Blizzard to KO the Vibrava, due to the types. The Thug runs away, trips, and faceplants into the debris.
The next thug steps up, ready to battle. Tommy returns Mudkip, Now with Eevee's pokeball in hand.

Me: I do. Now whats with the land mass increase?
DL: Money, can't you see that?
Me: Of course I can. I suppose its worth the property damage elsewhere in the world.
DL: No protection money, why should I care?
Me: I'm finding out how you are doing this.
DL: Of course you are, Nidoking go!
*Nidoking appear from his PokeBall*
Me: Marowak go!
*Marowak appears from its PokeBall*
Me: Swords Dance!
*Marowak preps itself by aggressively swinging its Thick Club*
DL: Ice Punch!
*Marowak is nicked hard, but is still going*
Me: Earthquake.
*Marowak hits the ground hard, and Nidoking goes down in one shot*
Me: One down.
DL: Here comes the next one, Kangaskhan go!
Me: Brick Break!
*Marowak hits Kangaskhan hard, and Kangasknah winces*
DL: Aqua Tail!
*Marowak gets hit hard by the wet attack*
Me: Brick Break again!
*Kangaskhan goes down*
DL: Heat Rotom go!
*The oven shaped Rotom appears*
Me: Rock Slide!
*Rotom gets pelted decently*
DL: Ominous Wind.
*Marowak finally manages to go down*
Me: Return!
*Marowak disappears in a pale red beam*
Me: Gyrados go!
*Gyrados comes out and intimdates Rotom*
Me: Bite!
*Rotom is bitten*
DL: Discharge.
*Rotom flinches*
Me: Snag Ball go, Great!
Wiggle...
Wiggle...
Wiggle...
DING!
DL: YOu'll die.
Me: Sure.
DL: Rhyperior go!
*The great rock monster appears*
Me: Waterfall!
*Gyrados hits Rhyperior hard*
DL: Stone Edge.
*Gyrados is hurt badly*
Me: Waterfall!
*Rhyperior still winces but is still rolling*
DL: Stone Edge!
*Gyrados goes down*
Me: How about a blast from the past, Garchomp take Gyrados' place!
*Gyrados is recalled and Garchomp comes out*
Me: Earthquake!
*Garchomp goes against its former master, and Rhyperior goes down*
DL: You... will... be... TORTURED! Metagross!
*Metagross comes out*
Me: Earthquake!
*Metagross is hurt alot*
DL: Ice Punch!
*Garchomp eats its Yache Berry, and shrugs off the blow*
Me: Earthquake!
*Metagross goes down*
DL: Arg! Scizor go!
Me: Fire fang.
*Scizor goes down when it comes out*
DL: Noo...

Dark shouts, quickly jumping to his feet, bringing the Squirtle with him. Holding Squirtle under his arm, he grins evilly and stares at the Pokemon. "Y'know turtle soup would help me recover in no time."He wouldn't actually harm Squirtle. He's just angry.

"NO!" Sammy scolded, bonking Mr. Dark on the nose. "Gimme my buddy back!" She harr-umphed, yanking the turtle pokemon back from him. Squirt stuck out his tongue, cuddling to his trainer's chest so he would feel safer.

DL: Fine... We have a tower south of Realgam. Here's the control device.
*He tosses the device*
Me: That's fairly ironic. You have 30 seconds to get out of my face.
*The mafia starts retreating in Hummers and the like*

With the gruesome one beaten, a second goon stepped up. He was a bit better-looking, almost rugged, but probably still had a hard time finding a date. Maybe that's why he joined the mob? My aesthetic musings were interrupted when he sent his first pokemon into battle: Snorlax. I decided to start off with Meganium again. She quickly seeded her foe and began siphoning power. It lazily changed its stats with Curse.
I knew what kind of beat-down a fully cursed Snorlax could deliver, so a plan quickly took shape. Meganium belly-flopped her foe, causing minor damage. A second Curse soon followed, with Leech Seed taking its toll. Meganium Body-Slammed again, inflicting even less damage. However, this time she succeeded in Paralyzing Snorlax! I knew this was the chance I needed. Calling Meganium back, I sent Misdreavus out for some fun. As expected, Snorlax fell asleep to cure itself.
While his foe slept, Misdreavus first locked it in with Mean Look, then sang the song of demise. Three. Waking up, Snorlax was now doomed. It tried Return and failed. Two. Earthquake failed. One. I quickly called Misdreavus out of battle and had my Aggron jump in. It was risky, but Snorlax used Return again and barely scratched my Pokemon. Zero.
The goon called Snorlax back and chose Machamp for his next Pokemon. I also swapped Aggron out, and let Misdreavus go again. Dynamic Punch simply phased right through my ghost. However, Stone Edge didn't. Misdreavus was sorely hurting from that shot, and his Shadow Ball was easily absorbed by the muscle-bound foe. He still had one last trick: Destiny Bond entwined Machamp's fate with his own, and both were KO'ed by Stone Edge.
Now it was Magmortar's turn. I decided to try Aggron, despite her injuries from the Electrode Cluster. The flame pokemon loosed a nasty stream of fire from his arm cannon, causing intense damage to Aggron, and burning it. Aggron shot back with her own Stone Edge, but fainted soon after. I called her back and put Xatu in. She struck hard with Psychic, and almost sealed the deal. But a Thunderbolt from the foe put Xatu in critical condition as well. Luckily she still had the edge in speed, and ended the fight with one last Psychic.
The goon went back in disgrace as Blissey started tending to Xatu's wounds.
